Tucked away in a nondescript place and had a hard time looking for it, but it’s worth it! The melted cheese on top of the egg is AMAZING! When I cut through the egg, it’s not over cooked and the yolk oozes out. Definitely a try! We also ordered the beef pastrami sandwich which is not too bad. The doughnuts are not the type that I like which is either chewy texture or the fluffy type. Have to order the cold brew coffee which is good! You can pack some home too.

Delicious breakfast for my 1st Jan 2021 rainy ride here. Load with good fat: avocado + omega3 salmon + protein molten cheese egg and generous amount of veg & tomato. With the view of rainfall and crowd coming in & out from their window seat, listening to the jazz music and human conversations while enjoy a sip of hot cappuccino.

This was recommended by a colleague and decided to give it a try! Fresh ingredients used, they are very generous with the portion, the baked melted cheese egg was absolutely adorable, besides the egg, there're salmon , avocado and vegetable which costs less than $20! I would say this is the best value you could get !!! I had a grilled chicken sourdough sandwich , the sauce with avocado were really good balance. they serve single origin coffee but personally i like house blend because the flavour is more all-rounded. Service crew was friendly and the ambience was nice and chilling which suitable for people who wants to read a book or work here. This place serves different menu from Katong outlet. Both worth trying!

Love the molten egg dish and coffee and such a nice brunch place to chill with friends. Skip the sugar donut, it’s just normal. Oh the female service crew need to be more welcoming. 😌

Delicious apple strudel and ice cream. One of the finer ones my wife have sampled on the island. You will definitely get what you are paying for, even if pricing a bit more dear to your wallet. I also had the house blend flat white coffee. It had pretty strong depth and kick, but lacked a bit of extra personality I desired. Felt that if the coffee had a dimensionality and I would not have any more to say. Works very well with great dessert, but I won't buy the coffee by itself. Overall, I feel the cafe merits a second visit.

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning. Breakfast portions are really generous and they're happy for you to share. Coffee game is strong. Finally a place where I can enjoy coffee without worrying about profiles and origins. Be sure to check out their coffee if you're nearby. Thank you for the lovely experience.

Bright and cheery spot hidden along Guillemard Road. Nice spot for brunch and reading on the weekends. Coffee is excellent, food is tasty, pastries are ok.

Coffee was nice. But they have some weird policies. You have to order via scanning a barcode at your table. But you STILL have to pay at a cashier which isn't exactly contactless. They also don't allow changing of tables. So if the Cafe is half empty and you ask to switch away from the window cause it's too hot, they won't allow you to.

Recommended by my friend, visited on a weekday morning, quite empty during weekdays. Simple with some industrial design, offers wide varieties of coffee and bakeries, as well as meals. Take note some of their dishes only available on certain days. Tried ice long black and the famous molten egg, both taste excellent. Will definitely visit again

Good food and friendly service. The draw back is the coffee servings is just too small. A bit of walking under the sun from mrt stations.

Fantastic white cold brew (not pictured)- really, really good. The baked eggs with cheese is a must order as well. And the grain bowl was simply delightful!!! (Not pictured too) Skip the pastries though- they’re way overpriced and not very good (the earl grey flavour was too light and didn’t come through) and I’ve had better cinnamon buns - maybe stick to the Swedish ones?

Very nice place for just having a coffee or some food. Molten eggs with avocado and salmon is outstanding. Very special breakfast option and definitely a must try once in Singapore. Enjoy!

Tried flat white and it tasted good. Comfortable environment to have a cup of coffee during weekend. However it doesn't offer free Wi-Fi. Tried cold brew coffee which is very nice. It's a good place to enjoy coffee which is flavorful. One of my favorite

Didn’t know my hood has such a nice cafe. Keep driving pass it and see queues.

We managed to get a table for 2 on a late Sunday morning, although tables seemed to fill up fast after 10:30am. The ambience is industrial-like, with plenty of natural lighting. Servers were attentive and friendly. For our main meal, we had baked eggs (with cheese, salmon, avocados, salad and cherry tomatoes - accompanied with 2 slices of toasted bread). It was pretty filling for 2 people and the all the different components of the dish came together nicely. Really recommend this dish! For dessert, we had the dark chocolate and hazelnut twist + almond and vanilla bun. The taste was good but the pastries themselves were a little stale imo. And unfortunately, by the time we placed the order, the earl grey croissants were not available so either they were sold out or were just not baked by then. Lastly, the coffees were great! Houseblend flat white and latte. I would come again just for the coffees. Overall, a great spot within walking distance of Mountbatten MRT.

Came here on a rainy weekday several months back for brunch. This is a rather quiet cafe near Mountbatten, food and service is excellent and the portions are generous. Coffee tasted great and the molten egg breakfast dish which I believe is their signature item was very nice

It’s great doing coffee run after work because at least I have something to look forward to hehehe What’s on the table: • Iced white $6.5 (house blend) (single origin) • Carrot and walnut slice $7.8 Both coffee were decent, but I would much prefer their house blend over their single origin! Both coffee were very roasted and one of them had a pronounced rich aromatic nutty flavour to it that complimented the milkiness of the coffee well. I love my carrot cake dense so this was perfect for me 🥕 (I had 80% of it) A cafe that’s out of the way but I’m so glad we gave it a try! Despite it being a really short stay, I love how this cafe gives off a really comforting vibe! So sad I didn’t get to try their donuts though!!

Simple decor, cute ambiance. Quiet cafe for mega focus on work and also to just zone out, with occasional coffee machine sounds cuz it's an open bar concept, just like many other cafe. Coffee was good. Pastries were alright, but would be more heated up tho (personal preference). Staff there were very nice and polite! Closes quite early tho.

Nice laid back ambience in a nondescript block in Guillemard. The staff here are friendly and attentive. On weekends, they serve the standard brunch fare - cheesy eggs with salmon and avocado, sandwiches etc. Very nice cakes as well - my favorite is the banana bread. Unfortunately they have hardly any vegetarian choices on their menu. Not difficult to do so hope the establishment considers this!

  • 4/5 Natasha A. 5 years ago on Google
The place is nice, crowded but not noisy on a Sunday. We ordered 1 cup of black, 1 cup of latte, cinnamon bun (which smells the whole room lovely), lemon curd pistachio cake, beef pastrami sandwich and vegetarian avocado cheese egg. It's $53 in total. The only thing is, the coffee is too small and two third the usual size.

Their portion are quite generous so do share if you're a small eater especially during breakfast! Came during 9am there wasn't a queue but left around 930 and queues were forming. Their service is extremely good with really patient and nice staffs :) food is delicious! Coffee is slightly acidic.

The breakfast is nice. If u are not a big eater, one set could be enough for two sharing. Therefore, it's very worth! I saw the pastry look good but I ordered two sets of breakfast and I'm too full. I will come bk to try next time.

Had heard a lot about this place and it definitely lived up to expectations. Coffee was solid, chose a nutty blend which tasted a tinge burnt but was well balanced overall and not too milky (a frequent grouse I have for cafe coffees). Had the oven baked molten eggs which was definitely a winner in my book. The myriad of ingredients came together perfectly, with the spice powder subtly ensuring the cheese did not overwhelm. A pleasant surprise had to be the fresh salad with cheese shavings, which was light and appetizing. The avocado and smoked salmon were standard fare but fresh for sure. Staff were friendly and attentive in general, will be back for sure to try the other dishes!

Barely an hour after ordering my food I was “asked politely to make way for another customer or buy another cup of coffee. I bought $40’s worth of breakfast at 1030am that was shared amount 2 people so it not that we were stingy. People come to a cafe to have coffee and a chat. But it’s clear they have insufficient seating. However, I’ve never experienced a cafe where they actually would actually tell u to leave or buy a coffee. They serve decent food and coffee but customers who come here should be prepared to eat and go. The staff here have no patience for those who sit around and they make that message very clear to you. You eat , you go or you Buy more food to eat!

Fantastic food. Very satisfying. Chicken avocado on sourdough is my favorite. Coffee is great too! Friendly staffs, very welcoming. Toilet is not great, but nobody goes to a cafe for their toilet, so I guess that’s fine. PS. Don’t go to the East Coast Outlet for food. Guillmard Outlet is much better 👍🏻

We saw everyone order the melted eggs and gave it a try! Definitely a creative way. The portion was generous, and definitely great for people who love cheese. For us it is really heavy and probably a little bit oily. Was hoping to try the pastries but ended up getting too full. Hope to try more things next time

Nice rustic place with a great selection of delicious food. The avacado on toast is a combination that I didn’t think would work well but it did! Cold brew coffee is smooth and fragrant too. Very good quality but it’s expensive!

One of the best coffee roasters in SG!

  • 2/5 WSAO 3 years ago on Google
Visited this place on 9 Feb Morning, staff services is acceptable, however, facilities and fittings is not. Following Cons noted; A cafe with no toilets equipped, wifi connection not provided, seats without back rest, absence of powerpoint to charge electronic devices & plain water served in very small cups that I felt bad to bother the staffs to refill my cup of water. Definitely not the market standards for the same price and locations I patronise elsewhere.

Excellent coffee from this local roaster and a big improvement from last July. The default for the 6 oz white is a double shot. Choice of their Pen and Pencil house blend or the Danilo Barbosa single origin for espresso-based drinks. This latest cup, made with Brazil Danilo Barbosa beans and Meiji milk, had a balanced and sustained apple, chocolate flavour.

A cafe with a wide range of menus including coffee, with an atmosphere that can be used for catching up with friends and business negotiations. Cold brew is delicious! House blend is good but considered pricey for a cup of ice latte at 6.50 as the cup is rather small. Smallest among the cafes I have been. Food is good value with good portion. Skipped the pastries as they are rather average.
