Magic carpet? More like drab doormat. Hey! Are you and your friends looking to get treated like a public toilet seat for an evening? Then Magic Carpet Lounge is the place for you! What I thought would be a fun night out with friends turned into one of the most painfully devastating experiences of my life. I would rather have all my teeth individually pulled out by a mountain gorilla without any anaesthetic than visit this place again. Needless to say, some of the staff can be obnoxious and prices are borderline robbery. Although my experience so far with this club has been short of “magical”, I’m looking forward to reading the manager’s passive aggressive response to this review, in which he will baselessly lambast me and deflect all accusations to protect his seemingly fragile ego. If you don’t believe me, simply read the replies to the reviews before mine. A 4 year-old would have a more professional approach to customer service than this guy. Perhaps he isn’t happy with the standard of his business. I wouldn’t be either. However, I do think he could benefit from some serious self-reflection. Maybe a beach getaway, if not a night out with friends (at an actually decent establishment) to cheer him up. I’m sure in reality he’s a friendly, respectful person. Just kidding, I’m almost certain he’s not. Never again.

Deeply deeply disappointed with their customer service. I visited the club with 14 friends on the weekend and was scammed about the minimum spend for a table. Pricing is not upfront, it includes hidden costs that you are not made aware of. Also, we ordered food that never arrived and when I asked for a refund the next day, I was straight up lied to. Apparently their “kitchen” sent out the food — wonder where it got lost during a 2 minute walk between the kitchen and our table. Absolutely horrible experience As someone who has been a regular to the club over the last few years, I am disappointed with the management. Super unprofessional. They definitely don’t know how to give people a good time.

I thought $50 for a club with decent music would be a great idea, unfortunately it wasn't. I never expected to see staff so rude and abusive towards their customers for no reason. This place needs to be audited by Singapore and license revoked unless they plan to educate their staff better.

This is the WORST place I have ever been to. Firstly, the staff is super rude. They absolutely don’t know how to talk to their customers. Secondly, you have to get a $15 ART test before entering. There is also a $50 entry fee that gets you only one drink inside. *I am not telling you not to charge for the ART. I got it done too. I’m just updating people on how much you have to pay to enter your so called ‘premium Bollywood club’. Its just not worth it. And like I said, the owner and the staff - super rude. 🙃

Music is too loud. Playlist and music transition is not that great. It gets too cramped and crowded after around 11pm. Drinks are too expensive and tastes cheap. The only way to stay hydrated is to buy 200ml water bottles for $5.

Great place with Bollywood music. Dinner before 10:30pm, but need to book in advance. Post 11, it's a club for dance till you drop! Crowded, lotssa fun if you have the right gang!

Best place in Singapore for lively Indian dance music. The house DJ plays some great beats that is always nice to shake a leg to. Drinks here are a tad bit on the upper side If any complaints the dance floor is a little tight could do with a bigger space. Second the House DJ could play the beats for tad bit longer as the transition from song to another is usually very short. But overall it is always an enjoyable night out worth the visit.

After reading all the bad reviews I felt I needed to provide some balance. So here goes... I went there for the first time and my experience was actually quite good. The lady at the entrance was friendly and even chatted with us. She was firm but nice. When I went in, the crowd was decent, mostly young. No one was misbehaving, everyone was friendly. Music was so-so. Good mix of old and new songs. Nothing too terrific. Bartenders were fast and friendly. Drinks were made well. A bit expensive for cover charge but maybe cos everything else is costly. The extremely ridiculous thing and the only fault I found was u need to pay a thousand bucks to get a seating table. 500 for standing table. But we just used a table anyway. Toilets were really narrow. Toilets need to be clean. Other than that a pleasant experience.

Worst bar in Singapore, staff have no manners how to behave with customers. When we reached there receptionist was behaving like she is high, she has no idea which coustmer need wrist band or not. We paid for table in advance and also paid for ART. One Indian guy on billing counter was behave like he is the Prime minister of Singapore asking us to get out when we simply asked of a drink and enquired about how the drink will get adjusted with advance we paid. He shouted on us said he me your number I will transfer your advance, but never paid. (Still don't know the reason) It was our friends Birthday, after arguing for 2 hr they accept to refund us the advance which we had paid to table. That day We lost 2-3 hrs time Our ART charges without going inside the bar And the spoiled whole evening we didn't get any other place later.

Probably the worst club we've been to in Singapore. Entry was more expensive than far better clubs like Marquee or Zouk, all for nothing. The drinks were watered down and again way overpriced, and the staff had no social or professional etiquette. It's not your staff's business to morally police guests, and if your bouncers can't mind their own business then maybe it's time to rehire.

They don’t follow any covid protocols and when SDA/police come they tell eveyone to put mask on and when they leave they encourage people to take mask off. The bar tenders are horrible and serve very waterd down drinks. I would go other club if you could, definitely not worth it 👎

Worst club in Singapore. The worst part is that you the staff scolds you for no reason. I was attending a call in the corner because one of my friends wasn't feeling well and the dj and another staff member started shouting at me for no reason and told me to get lost. I don't think that any customer deserves this sort of treatment especially after paying a lot. This was my last visit and I'll make sure that no one in my friend circle ever visits this club again.

It's a fun place to be with friends in a group. But DJ isn't that great. Playing old songs and one song doesn't transition well to another. Not good DJ basically. Also free drinks included with entry ticket were cheap quality and really bad. Its a small place for a large crowd. Everyone is stepping on each other. Not managed well.

They changed the DJ for the worse and there was no dhol , for 2 consecutive times I went. The AC was not working properly and the dance floor was smelling of sweat. The place lacked the vibe and the crowd was mostly rich older people. Music was worse and lot of songs were repeated. This is my last visit to the place.

had great fun here, arrived slightly after midnight. Not too crowded, no pushing, lots of dancing, good A/C. DJ made sure to never loose the crowd. Everyone had a good time, bouncers and staff were friendly

Go here if you’d like to pay for overpriced drinks & drink from unhygienic cups. The drinks are OVERPRICED. TBH the worst club we’ve been to. The dance floor and space overall was the most unhygienic place I’ve ever been to here. Also, the bouncer was SUPER and UNNECESSARILY rude to my friends, who did not even say a word, when we were trying to enter. I don’t know or see why people would knowingly pay money to get treated with disrespect and made to feel that way pointedly. The entry fee is also super ridiculous for the place and service. Save your money and visit actual premium clubs instead that charge lower entry fees for a much better experience and music; that also treat their customers with respect.

We hosted an event for our clients at the Magic carpet, Singapore in May. While the service was great and the owner of the place was himself present to ensure perfect arrangements, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Also, they need to work on improving the infrastructure including toilets. Can’t share pics to respect privacy of guests so here are food pics.

Amar is the best guy at magic 💯. There is no magic without Amar. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Make sure he is someone of importance otherwise you will loose magic.

I would like to give zero star but there is no such. The staff looks pretty confused and have anger on their face when communicating. They made us move around from counter to entrance and entrance to counter, just for a drink for which we had already paid. I highly recommend to avoid this place and not to spoil your evening/night.

Unnecessarily rude and aggressive bouncers. Bar manager even acknowledged that the behaviour of the bouncer was due to “other people” ahead of us with no fault of our own. Never ever going to return and highly discourage people from visiting. Very unreasonable staff, do yourself a favour and visit another club in Singapore that deserves your money.

Horrible experience - the behavioural attitude of the bouncer or the managers are very rude to the customer , they are keep on the false language to the gust without any provocation. We can understand people are drunk and behave a little tipsy and bouncers have to do their job , but i think thats why they are open for and they don’t have right behave like it even though they own the place , really unsatisfactory experience after paying such a huge amount . NB - only good thing was their waiters and waitresses

Good place for Bollywood music and dance. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices for drinks and food. Great dance floor. The patrons seem decent and friendly too. Nearby to easy transport access. Will go again.

This place is so dead it should be called maut carpet. $50 dollars to visit a graveyard. I ll let you’ll decide. Choose wisely how you want to spend your money. Rocking rickshaw and Gabbar are 10 times better

Really bad experience with their security people on entrance on asking them any questions. Really rude, damn expensive, costing 50. Since its indian place, they feel they can be rude and insult people trying to ask questions.

I was very upset that the club opened late on the night BS was spinning but I appreciate prissy explaining that they were short of manpower. I love the honesty and how she is a gem of a person. She was very composed despite the need for her to single handedly help out all the tables. It definitely takes a lot of experience and attention to details to handle such things. I would definitely snatch her up for her loyalty if I’m a business owner.

Honestly I have no idea why people choose this bar as it is the worse option available at Singapore. Very unprofessional staff, I think they should give some basic training to staff, how to behave with customers. It's was not with us only they were shouting on everyone. Worst worst experience in life.

Its their way or the high way! You can be doing everything right but any one question or disagreement will get you immediately kicked out. They do charge a premium (1500 SGD for a table) or 50 bucks for a drink. Unless you are soooo DESPERATE for bollywood/ indian music, id avoid. Rather do a house party. Extremely rude and aggressive staff.

Knowinging that the chef from Songs of India is with them now, I headed to Magic Carpet with high expectations alas I was sorely disappointed.... Menu selection was pathetic, service was slow and definitely doesn't live up to the price point. Food taste was honestly ok but don't go expecting the same kind of quality as Songs of India.

This is one of the only Bollywood party places in Singapore. Place is okay. They keep changing their name, magic carpet to Aryan or something. Btw note that the club closes at 3am! Bottle buy entry for big groups are decent and more valuable than paying single person entry charge. Music is pretty okay! Place goes full throttle around 1130pm so it is mostly an after party or late party place. You will mostly find indians here. Crowd overall is decent and good! Enjoy you dance win Magic Carpet!
