Very local styles coffee shop with hidden good food

Fan of the chee cheong fun! It's not super soft and silky but still tender enough, not lumpy and cold. The sweet sauce is perfect. Ultimate comfort food. Western stall serves yummy food with decent portion, cai peng store is good too, zhichar store is nice (can try Mongolian pork/chicken) and ala carte stir fry. Chicken rice is worth it. Prices are reasonable. Good variety of food served here. Kopi and teh is good too. Dont really like the wanton mee though

There are two types of Mee siam that are commonly found: coconut based (milk) or more Assam base (clear). Mee siam is harder to find in this neighborhood and they do a good one over here . Sweet and sour notes and this uncle also helped you squeeze the calamansi on top alrdy . whats not to love?!

The food is quite good and I have been going there regularly to have their zi char!! Should give it a chance when you are in serangoon! 😊👍

The seafood zi cha better close down. Terrible service and bad food serve. $9 seafood pao fan comes with only 1 prawn, 3 lala but 1 empty shell, 3 pieces of fish slice and a few veg. They packed rice and soup together and leave the food there without calling out to the person that order.

This coffee shop is out of place, and tried out their duck rice. The yam rice is quite fragrant, with yam cubes. $4 for this duck rice.

Fantastic food. Cheap and good. Must try.

老了...you know when you are old when you start drinking beer at the nearby kopitiam. Surprisingly this place doesn't sell Tiger beer - too atas for our friendly neighbourhood??? Haha nice unassuming place to chill and stone. Beer aunties look friendly, everyone is just minding their own business and relaxing. Support your local kopitiam!

Simply loves the chicken rice here

The chilli crab was horrible! The crab smells bad even with the sauce covering it. There was practically nothing to eat as the crab meat was a mash! Feedback to the lady taking order just after one bite. She apologized and said that she will let the supplier know. Didn't even offer to change the dish. Some nerve! Bad experience. Never going back again!!!

Crowded at lunch time. The Ba Kut Teh is well patronise and there is not enough tables and seats However Not much goes on in the morning. Only the noodle shop that sells mee Siam and mee rebus, Chinese breakfast noodle and coffee. Quite a number of member residents horde the table so there are also not enough seatings

Extremely rude cai fan (mix vegetable) seller. Have seen him and the Viet lady scolding old folks. Today I saw him charging $1.00 for a styrofoam container ! The food taste awful too, worst tasting cai fan.
