Currently closed for maintenance on July 24, 2022. I asked the staff at the parking entrance how long the construction period would last, but they said they didn't know. The parking lot is large. You can see the outside of the building.

Currently closed for renovation work. During the war, this building was used as a comfort station for Japanese military officers. Since it is a witness to Japan's hideous history, I would like it to be preserved in the future.

A good place to start for those who are interested to know more about the state of Johor, the rulers and its history. The artifacts and the exhibition are well maintained by the museum. Easy access of information. A great place for a family and children. Admission is free.

Best place to go as a prelude to visit JB, know its history, it's building, a vintage look of Victorian time, nostalgic of period when the British were around, ppl were more polite, respectful & more mannered, ppl were respectful of class system & know their position such as obedience to customs, culture, authority & their parents & elders! Has a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a chill place to hang out with your family or friends, this is one of those place. I've tried the pastas and burgers and it taste delicious. The price is reasonable too.

Quaint little museum showcasing the history of Johor. Has an art showcase currently, with entries from art students from all over the nation.

    1. This museum is a state museum. I expected it, but it hurt me. 2. Unfortunately, this is not the first, nor the only, museum that has not announced its closure on its official website or GOOGLE. 3. When I arrived, the door was locked. There was a young man outside, and after asking him I learned that it was closed for "maintenance." 4. Our museum has entered "maintenance" status, so you have no way of knowing when it will reopen. 5. Sure enough, I asked him if he had been detained for a long time? He nodded. 6. Ask him when will he reopen? He answered: "Maybe 2026." 7. It will take 3 or 4 years to repair. Is it enough to rebuild a museum in such a long time? 8. I am not a professional in museum management, and I donโ€™t dare to criticize too much. If there is anyone who can educate me on this aspect, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Visited on a weekday morning. Perhaps because there is no manager and no tourists, the lights on the second floor are not on, so it is not possible to visit. It's a pity that it is not managed at all.
