Nice museum. You will probably need 1h at least to go over the 3 levels. Very interesting especially the religion section!

The five stainless stell balls are art installation by local artist Baet Yeok Kuan, just next to the Asian Civilisations Museum. A great spot for photos.

Popped in to see the new Russell Wong in Kyoto 'Life in Edo' exhibition recently opened. Beautiful, rarely seen photos depicting stories and glimpses in to the lives of Meiko & Geikos, all presented in an easy to follow, flowing format. Well worth checking out this exhibition either now, or following the images currently shown rotating from 12th July.

July 24, 2021 Saturday sunny From Jurong Lake Gardens, Pandan Reservoir, then Boat Quay and arrived at Cavenagh Bridge, leading to the Asian Civilizations Museum opposite the majestic Fullerton Hotel by the river bank. This marks my 32nd half marathon in 2021.

Some interesting exhibits, could have better narratives and more detailed and easier to use audio accompaniments Also staff told me I needed a ticket multiple times even though I had the entry sticker clearly on my shirt.

I lived in Singapore for 10 years. This was always the most interesting for me. Perfect overview of all Asian cultures beautifully presented.

The ACM is well organised, elegant with exhibits and displays worthy of learning and interesting discoveries. Do arrange to join a docent led tour so that you can have a better appreciation of the items, context and interesting background information. We specially went for the Edo/Russel Wong exhibition and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! It was as if we relived the times of the Japanese samurai and geishas, yet could appreciate a contemporary view through the lens of Russel Wong. Most impressed by the wood block art prints. Highly recommended.
