I love this shopping complex. Whenever I go there, I feel like as if I am in Thailand. I can find many Thai products there. There is one supermarket on the second floor. Oh ya... Not forgetting that there are many good Thai food there.

Treasure trove of Vietnam/ Thai products, even if Global brand it's their version. Just don't buy those items that are available in NTUC/Giant/ Sheng Siong as no economy of scale. Wide selection of Thai instant noodles... yummy Tom Yam etc. Visit soon as En Bloc done if you like shop like Mookata, Thai food...

I’m Vietnamese live in Singapore, and I feel happy when come here. They have many types vegetables which I cannot buy in my market. But the place a bit old and not safe, should protect your bag or phone, and women shouldn’t go at night. The dessert looks so nice but eat not nice, shouldn’t buy too much like me and quit it.

The infamous "little Thailand" in Singapore... Soon this building will be demolished so better visit if u have a chance... Is also a very "popular" place for coach service to Malaysia/ Thailand n so on... This building is so old, it will transport u "right to Thailand" with all things Thailand... Food stores/ supermarket/ etc etc... The food stores are all "popular" authentic Thai food/ restaurant... If u want a real taste of Thailand in Singapore, highly recommended to come here ...

Can buy many thai cooking recipes but somehow I don’t like the staffs and also the building cleanliness… Plus real thai people are more friendly and kind but thai people here are so unfriendly..

It was the place to look for authentic Thai food. But quality of food has compromised after covid period. Seasoning is badly done. Food is overpriced too. The supermarket still offers decent Thai products and exclusive herbs and vegetables essential for Thai cooking. You are able to find Thai snacks, freshly made on the spot, akin what you'll in MBK. Otherwise, this mall isn't worth visiting.

Go to place for real Thai foods. At least there are many choices there, just select according to ypur taste. Toilet and general areas are a bit dark (less lighting) but if you are not bothered, then it’s ok. Else, don’t go alone so you won’t get scared or shocked easily.

The last of its kind. Was surprised to find this old school singlet that everyone used to wear donkey years ago. Could be more than 30 years since I last spot this brand "Swan Brand" where you can spot most of the koptiam uncle are wearing.

It's one of the granddaddy of shopping malls...I read that it was once marked for demolition, but be sure the architecture style is so special, it became kind of historical, and they decided to spare it. It's actually not beautiful, but it has a bit of MBS design in its slopping front....the most interesting part, from a visitor POV, is the mall itself, as it is very spacious, very high ceiling, no natural light, so everything is brightly lit, and it's Thai territory 😜. Supermarkets, restaurants, Thai people, therapists, hawkers....it's vociferous, noisy, joyful, and very interesting to visit .

Dropped by for a heritage tour over the weekends and also popped by the Thai supermarket to grab the fried bananas and sweet potato balls!! Pls do so before they shift out in early April! Many of the stalls have also shifted out/will be shifting out by March so do drop by before it’s too late..

This place had been there since the 70s - 80s and had seen better days. The lower floors are filled with Thai discos/bars/shops etc. There are quite a number of eateries serving authentic Thai food too! The car park is pretty dingy and old.

Very old mall, no 7-11 , just some old local convenience store and a super market on the first floor. They accept cash only, no credit cards. There are many food stalls on the ground floor, but none are halal. Mostly thai shops and restaurants. You can buy bus tickets to Malaysia here as well.

GO BEFORE SHE IS SHUT DOWN, YOU HAVE BARELY A WEEK LEFT. GO THERE TO TAKE ALL THE INSTAGRAM YOU NEED AND SAY YOUR GOODBYES. THIS BEAUTIFUL BRUTALIST DESIGN STRUCTURE IS UNIQUE IN SINGAPORE, AND HAD SUFFERED FOR DECADES WITH THE NON-APPRECIATIVE CROWDS THAT SHE HOUSED. MOST SEE IT AS LITTLE THAILAND, AND HOME TO TOURIST-PASS AND VISA DUBIOUS KATOEY AND OTHER LADIES OF THE NIGHT. BUT BEFORE THAT, IT WAS A RESPECTABLE AND BEAUTIFUL WORK/HOME BLENDED-USE BUILDING INCORPORATING HOME WITH ASTOUNDING SEASIDE VIEWS AND BREEZES, ABOVE OFFICES HOUSING LAW FIRMS, FREIGHT FORWARDERS, AND OTHER MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICES UNTIL CERTAIN POLICIES NUDGED THEM TO MOVE FURTHER ALONG INTO THE CBD CORE. THE OFFICES HAD SEMI-OPEN, AIRY WALKWAYS LINKING THEM AND INGENIOUSLY USES NATURAL LIGHT FROM THE SKYLIGHTS TO ILLUMINATE IT DURING THE DAY, AND WHEN EVENING COMES, THEY SWITCHES TO FLOURESCENT LIGHTS. THE SHOPS BELOW WERE THE DESTINATION FOR THE TAI-TAIS ( NE'ER-DO-WELL WIVES) OF THE PROFESSIONALS AND TOWKAYS ( BOSSES) THAT OCCUPIED THE OFFICES ABOVE. GOLDEN MILE WAS CALLED GOLDEN MILE FOR A REASON --IT USED TO HAVE ACCESS ACROSS THE ROAD TO A LOVELY MARINA BAY INLET, UNTIL NICHOLL HIGHWAY SEVERED ITS ACCESS AND THEN SLOWLY REPLACE THE GROUND ROUTE WITH AN OVERHEAD BRIDGE. A SAD IGNOBLE DEATH AND DEGRADATION OF WHAT A VERY CULTURED AND HIGH-CONCEPT DESIGNED BUILDING (IF EVER WAS ONE IN SINGAPORE )THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AHEAD OF ITS TIMES, AND STILL IS... BUT UTTERLY ABUSED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED. SAY GOODBYE TO THIS GRANDDAME OF ARCHITECTURE OF SINGAPORE BEFORE FAR EAST AND CONSORTIUM CRONIES DESTROYED HER. PLEASE TAKE A TILE OR A CEMENT CHIP FOR MEMENTO'S SAKE ON MY BEHALF ADIEU, MADAME. ADIEU. **NaNa thai restaurant is still stubbornly there for the Final Countdown to April's end 2023-- so, the crab and omu omelette is still on the menu, as is the muay thai boxing supply shop-- their lemongrass massage oil is on sale about 20$ a gallon, which is a steal, you can still score some good bath and beauty products with sensible discounts at the shops on the ground floor. As for the Thai Supermarket, it is moving to Aperia Mall, and inventory is getting cordoned off and moved. They had been featured in the press, so you can explore further in local media. See pictures that i've posted.

Terrible building management. No maintenance of the building whatsoever. Carpark is in terrible state of disrepair. The ceiling have collapsed for months but still no intention to fix. And when it rains, you would have to get drenched to get to your car because they decided it was a good idea to seal all the carpark entrances due to Covid-19.

Me and my friend were super hungry at the middle of the night and after some search we found this place. I can clearly say the the building itself is very old, it’s dirty, the floor is greasy and slippery and the toilets are in very bad condition. This is not a place I’ll go to in a different occasion, but I must say that the experience of the Thai BBQ was pretty fun and the food wasn’t bad at all!

Very old Complex where we called "Little Thai" that's where you find authentically delicious Thai cuisine we all love, and shops to buy native Thai ingredients, Thai food, Thai Skincare products, cosmetics, Groceries etc. However, Public Toilets in this Complex are the worst in this mall here with 20cts per entry to a dirty & unhygienic stinky WC.

At moment under renovation. Is a little small town Thailand shopping mall with food n small pub. Just go n experience it if you have not been to Thailand. Is not Bangkok style, more alike old school times Thailand small island style. Many food stalls lady owner who married to Singaporean n start their business here. Many changes there n also food stalls increasing their pricing. Anyway still worth experience it.

Crowded on weekend and PH. Puen Thai supermarket on the 2nd floor is not a cheapest one. But, you can find many Thai snacks there e.g. sweet grilled pork(Moo Ping), fried banana /potato/yam fritters which sometimes very long queue. You can come to order, go have your meal first then come back to get it.

Sawadeekrup, looking for some Thailand flavor in sunny Singapore will make you happy. The food here it's mostly cook by Thai who resides in Singapore. There are small pubs and bars listed here. Many Thai massage shops in the dark corners and higher floors. Thai amulets are also available if you are into religious artifacts.

Dirty dirty old mall, but I come here occasionally for the food, events hosted in small private businesses upstairs and/or to find Muay Thai gear with my girlfriend. Theres very little else to this place, Thai discos? If that's still a thing. The place exudes en bloc, which is happening in a couple of years, as announced. It's for the best, mall feels like it's going to cave in anytime now.

A very very nostigic commercial building in this area that houses plenty of Thai related retails outlets, shopping Mart's and food and beverage outlet including many BBQ or Steamboat styled eateries. This building have rich culture for its patrons and supporting customers who have spent time at this area. A pity that this building have been sold off and will be renovated upon its contracted period when mid 2023 comes.

  • 3/5 Stacey S. 3 years ago on Google
Complex is rather run down. Food there is pretty decent. Don't expect food to come cheap though (think $12 for green curry and $14 for fried garlic pork). The banana fritters being sold at a kiosk outside the Thai Supermarket is a must try ($3 for 6 pieces). The Thai Supermarket is also worth a visit. Also good for people looking for mookata. Lots of mookata places situated close to each other on the 1st and 2nd levels (around $30/pax). Interestingly, many of these places offer cheese with the mookata.

I’d like to share my bad experience for buying something from the 1st floor (i don’t know what’s the store name, but they sell like lotion/cream, makeup things). I recently purchase something on the 1st floor and i don’t know whether the thing is FAKE or the ingridients or anything else. I purchase “Q-Nic whitening underarm cream/lotion” at 1st floor, since the employee store recommend me this product. I saw the review is really high and famous at Thailand. So i’m willing to give it a try. I use it for like 5 days at my underarm and body scar. It turns red, itchy, and horrible at every part where i apply the Q-Nic cream. The redness spread all over my body. Hope someone didn’t be a victim like me for purchase something from that store. Just sharing my personal experience.
