Haven't been here for 3 years since before covid and visit on Sunday morning. Really change a lot as most shops above are closed and even a ktv on top floor which is weird. The only shops that survive are consider well known to PC community. The rest of smaller one died out during covid period. If you wish to visit here, by train would be Rochor MRT. Because of MRT, the bus are having less passengers, before that most bus are crowded. If you are looking for computer and veteran visiting Sim Lim, is an ok place but less people walking, so is easier to walk around. Guess online kill the smaller business. For newcomer, looking for a camera, don't, go somewhere else. Looking for PC or build, bring a friend who knows computer. They can smell blood of a newcomer and they are the shark's. Other then that, is just another regular mall except more PC stores than the usual regular shops.

Don't expect the average merchant to be honest when entering the Sim Lim Mall. Be aware that every sale is final and no refund is honored. Be aware that various merchants refuse you to pay with credit cards and require cash payments only. Be aware of bogus reviews by merchants. Before you start shopping, ask for the latest list of merchants reputation at the information desk at the ground floor. They rank the bad ones (most issues). There are of course some good ones. Make a check list of issues 1) refundable, 2) payment by credit card, 3) guarantee by ORIGINAL manufacturer. Remember: WHEN IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT ISN'T.

It is a six storey building which is situated next to the Rochor MRT station and the bus stop which is providing public transportation to this location. Ideal place to find computer, computer accessories, computer repair, printers, phone, phone accessories, tablet and repair shops. While it has everything in one roof it’s easier for the customers to compare the prices between shops. Need to mention few drawbacks from my experience. Not everyone in the shops can speak English most of them speaks Chinese. Most of the shops are not organised only few shops are well maintained. There for I have to give 4 star instead of 5

Quite a find in Singapore - an IT Mall on about 7 floors with numerous IT shops. It was busy on the both times I visited and most of the shops were well stocked. Majority of the staff had excellent English. On the lowest floor there are numerous cheap eating places, including a Subway. Sim Lim Square is therefore interesting for both computer enthusiasts and hungry people. This sort of mall has fallen out of popularity a lot in Thailand, so this one pleasantly reminded me of the old days. Well worth a visit for the 2 reasons given above. And conveniently it's next to Rochor metro station.

This electronics mall gets more run down with each passing month. Shops, especially those on the upper floors are shuttered or converted into scuzzy night clubs. Laptops and accessories, some branded, many not, are really what the bottom 3 floors are all about. No not expect to haggle and make a good deal like you could many years ago.

One of the best place to buy electronic equipment in singapore. You need to have a good knowledge on the things that you need to buy, before coming here. So you wouldn't be disappointed.

This place is a shopping center for electronic goods. but I had a quite unique experience, I ate at one of the restaurants in this building. they offer chicken rice with salted egg sauce. This chicken rice is very popular, especially with the special savory salted egg seasoning with a distinctive aroma. Don't forget to stop by this restaurant if you are visiting Sim Lim Square.

Yes, whatever electronic gadget your heart desires... you will find it here, and you will find it cheap (if you have the time /patience to ask around). The couple of times I've been there I was actually favorably impressed by the service. Makr a point to visit the shops in the upper floors... the higher you go, the lower prices tend to be

Not like 10 plus years ago, where most shops is black one, charging more than it is, by alot. NOW the shops here repairs, sell their products at a reasonable prices, and also 'free consultation' no need to pay.

A department store filled with gadgets to Pc parts to pc building to Phone repairs I would recommend everyone who wants to get a new build PC at Epic gears 04-19 As they have friendly service and they are willing to help you out with anything :) The top floor doesn’t have much stores but every store is worth visiting :)

Good place to get IT or electronic equipment, parts and consumables. Reasonably priced and good variety. You may want to do your research to find appropriate stores for your needs. Many good food outlets on level 2 such as Sol Aroy for tomato soup pork rib noodles and Taste Good for salted egg chicken rice.

It used to be the place to go to get good, reliable tech items. These days, the suppliers aren't as reliable, and prices online are significantly more competitive. If you're going there for the nostalgia (it's very dated and stuck in the late 80s and early 90s then do swing by, by all means. There's also a few food outlets there you can consider checking out. However, by and large, I wouldn't recommend specially making the trip there.

Went to buy a gaming monitor and accessories. Settled on an MSI 32" monitor at Media Mart. They didn't have stock so we opted to wait till the next day to self collect. The monitor arrived after 5pm at their store and we went to collect upon receiving their call. The item was sealed and they had a no unseal unless purchased policy. Trusting them we paid $620 and collected and realised the screen was cracked upon set up. Media Mart shrugged off and promptly sent us off to MSI customer service. Cracked Screen No warranty. Lesson learnt.

Best place for electronics I think, I was amazed by number of floors and shops, even open on Sundays. For phones, compare prices with MUSTAFA CENTRE in little India. I visited both and amazed with both places. Sim Lim centre is the best for range I think

  • 4/5 Shy E. 3 years ago on Google
Although the mall is alittle dim and not as well maintained, I must acknowledge that this is definitely still the place to go for computer, laptop or IT hardware related accessories or repair. Prices still remain very competitive. You can compare the prices from level 1 to level 4/5. For eg: A Logitech mouse can cost 40% cheaper in Sim Lim Sq compared to challenger or etc. Even for the Nitendo switch games, it offers more games at lower prices. Take note that most of the shops will be closed by 7pm. So be sure you be there earlier if you wanna buy something!

Still the number one mall in Singapore for gadgets, electronics, computer parts, sound systems, monitors, professional audio visual equipment, cables of all kinds, printers, cameras etc. You name it, there is a specialty shop here that's carries it. Prices are competitive so you do need to shop around. Carpark is in the basement and is rather pricey so most regulars park in nearby buildings unless you have heavy stuff to carry. In the 'backlanes' you will find cheaper vendors and also in level 2's backlane, a row of Food and beverage outlets besides the food court in the basement.

One-stop place where deserve to be visited when we are looking for anything electronic related such as computer, camera, mobilephone and accessories etc... Even though physical shop compete with online shop, here we can find good customer service that we can't get it online. Many official brand shop. Try to find good store who display good price and provide professional and reliable service. There are food amenities located at second floor. Foodcourt selling many kind of food at basement, and singaporepools opposite foodcourt. Clean and great place!

Been years since I been here. Trying to make my 12 years old TV become smart for Netflix. Kinda surprised that I only found 1 store selling Xiaomi TV stick 4K and another store that sold Google Chromecast but out of stock. For the record, Mustafa does not sell Xiaomi TV stick too but offers Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire stick. Parking was $2.85 compared to free parking at Mustafa 🤣

To me 5 star, many will disagree because Kena scam. It's not new, but once you find reliable companies in SLS, you will find that the price there unbeatable. (Unless you buy from China direct) 100% the place to go for tech. Personally recommend VideoPro lv 5, bought 24 PCs from them, cheapest in whole building as of this post.

With the ongoing pandemic, the safety distancing rule still has to be used. The temperature taking venues in the carpark have very bad thermometer taking because the distance between the person's forehead and it, is not even 1 metre. Please do something about this. Instead of using that equipment, get a thermometer gun. Those are cheap. But other than that, the cahaya restaurant was very good and worthwhile ☺️

The definitive gadget haven of Singapore. Parts, products & repairs packed into a 6 storied mall. Paid parking downstairs. MRT station within walking distance. Lots of competition should in theory keep prices honest. Increasingly savvy & discerning customers keep the service in check & reliability intact. For the most part. There are always sharks lurking around in the shadows to target the innocent & meek. But the majority are hard-working, honest salmon, struggling to carve a niche.

3 stars cus there’s this one place on the 5th or 4th floor with the TP-Link logo i think (next to a cooler master shop) which sold me a DP1.2 cable with somehow specifications of a DP1.4 cable... and also 3$ more expensive than a Braided DP1.4 cable w/o that annoying locking mechanism online.. other than that it’s cool. One shop sold me a great deal for a power cable, no haggling or anything, and the big open air shop at the bottom has good prices. You’ll find most not so tech-y things there, eg. power strips, charging cables, keyboards, mice, etc.

Good place to get your IT needs. Research beforehand and always get the stall's price lists. Like any other such places; know what you need to avoid being tricked. I recommend the legit shops on the 4th and 5th floors.

Start looking from the higher levels down (ie. level 5 and 6) and you will find many genuine shop owners and sellers with great products at reasonable prices.

In its heyday, Sim Lim Square, the go-to place for IT and electronic products, used to have several visitors and patrons before online shopping came about. It is still rather busy now as sometimes it is good to view the physical product before buying it. With Rochor MRT station beside, it is quite convenient to access.

Hands down the most varied amount of offerings in town. Did you need a cable for an obscure piece of tech not sold since the 90's? You will find a shop with what you need here

Recently, I repaired my e-dictionary there. There was a food court and there weren't quite a lot of options to choose from but the price of the food was reasonable. There were many shops where you could get your electronic devices fixed. I came to the shop and the staff were very friendly and approachable. They recommended trading it in since repairing it would not be worth it. The e-dictionary was in pristine condition with additional accessories included. Overall, the experience was pleasant, except for the food itself.

Losing its attraction. Located near Guanyin Temple. Most of the stores selling mobile phones accessories, used iphones/phones, computers/laptops/printers and offering repairs. With some eateries on the 2nd Level.

Beware of the business in the middle of ground floor, big open area next to escalator to 2nd floor. The price MicroSD Memory Card is doubled the other prices there, although they offer 10% discount. Go up to 3rd/4th floor if you're looking for memory cards, don't get fooled here. They sell SanDisk Extreme 128GB for $59.90 while other shops sell for $30+. Compare the prices and you will know how they do this disgusting daylight robbery.

Definitely loved this place heretofore. It was quite an enormous area of largest IT & Electronics Shopping Marketplace in Singapore. Actually, where my dad had dropped off point here ahead from bus or MRT, he had occasionally visited here for the malfunction old device items for computer repair such as gadgets, computer parts, mobile accessories, and along with others etc. During the IT mall around the place I've experienced that they have 20 multifarious popular food centre are located. Generally, I've found that it's profitable to consume. Also, I've gathered with my family over the past three years since prior to COVID-19 during the day off weekends for delighted shopping!

Sim Lim Square is One-stop place where deserve to be visited when we are looking for anything electronic related such as computer, camera, mobilephone and accessories etc...

For any and all of your digital/electronic needs, this is a fantastic one-stop shopping experience. Scattered over six floors and including places to eat, you could spend the day here if you're so inclined. It's a little chaotic but take your time to explore each floor. Retail, repairs, computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets - pretty much anything you can put your hands on from a digital/electronic perspective you can find here.

SimLim has aged, I think Covid was hard on it. Needs maintenance on minor things here and there. Lots of shops on the upper floors are probably used as storage rather than marketplaces since they're shuttered. Still able to get good tech deals, but maybe not as in the past

Seems to have a lot of electrical shops to buy hardware and stuff within the shopping centre. I didn’t shop around any of these but just wandered through and purchased some drinks before heading on to my actual destination

It's a nice place to get your electronics from one place, most of the places though offers cheap electronics which is not branded. But it works! Negotiation can work at some places if done correctly. Try to check out prices, condition, brand, and warranty of the product at different outlets before finalizing. It will take a lot of time to do that though.

Bought Lenovo YOGA here… when I was there I only get to know the IT fair was over a day ago!🥲 No choice. Buying on original price not much gifts🥹 They have foodcourt on Level 2 and Ground floor… Basically people don’t come here as often as old times anymore.. Deals are more or less the same as those of big shopping malls

Price is stated somewhat 10-20% higher in certain things. They think all people are dumb and don't know tech stuff. But not all sell robbing prices. Be aware. Also if you go higher level, the prices might be cheaper or better too compare to level 1

A well lit and bustling mall that meets all tech enthusiasts needs. Tip for possibly better deals: 1) Lots of sellers here have a Carousell storefront with discounted pricing over their retail price so it's good to check it out first. 2) One can usually get better prices using a debit card or cash payment.
