With the mini bazaar here during the fasting month, this is one of the places to go. There are definitely alot of choices here for u. From Mentaiko Hotdog to Nachos and more.. This is one of the must go to rage. Do note during this is just during the fasting month of 2021. If you missed it, then its your loss. If you are already here, u may have realised that there is another path into the the food hub. So ya, for newbies here, then walk right in and make sure u follow the signs.. Its all on d floor and all over the place. The safest is to follow the 'Feet path' so that u can get to this place. And ya... Did we mention that Parking is FREE? WOOOOOTTTTSSS ๐Ÿ˜

On a Sunday afternoon, around 5pm, this place is considered quiet. Several restaurants were closed, and there were plenty of parking lots, indicating the place is not doing well. There is a Hao Mega Mart there and things are more expensive there than elsewhere.

Updated on 28/12/23. The grandstand is closing its doors for good on 31/12/23. Goodbye to a vibrant, eclectic, sporty and unique place. Dated and run down. There are some interesting things and events. Food is also quite interesting. Do some research before going down. But it's worth a visit at least once to see the old turf club in all its former glory.

a huge place where horse racing is many years ago. Thereโ€™s lots of preowned vehicles , customised service for sales. Houses eateries at the air conditioned mall and some supermarket. Free parking.

There's not really anything good about this place overall. It's hard to get to as a public transport user, as the footpaths are narrow and there aren't really any nearby bus or train stations. The shopping centre provides its own limited shuttle bus service, but this is only a bare minimum service, and is poorly signposted and advertised. It seems to me that they don't want people using it so that they can justify discontinuing the service altogether. Once you make it to the centre, there is little relief from the daytime heat, as the aircon seems to be completely dysfunctional, with it almost feeling cooler outside where there's at least some breeze. The other facilities within the building also seem dated and somewhat poorly maintained, making for a bad experience all round. I can't say anything for most of the shops here, so this review shouldn't reflect negatively on them, but rather on the shopping centre itself.

Attempted to catch the last shuttle service on 13 Nov 2022, 9.30pm. Ran for the shuttle bus as I saw it aopprosching. The driver clearly saw me as he stared and waved at me, before driving off slowly.

29.12.2023 Last look before it's gone for good. Drive around the area for a last glimpse of our iconic/ historic place before it closes down officially on 31 Dec 2023 and makes way for housing developments. Nostalgic place for hub as he used to come here often for food and car hunting. Once an area for horses to gallop, now it's deserted. The gloomy weather totally describes how we feel about the closure. What's left is the memories held by those who had experienced it

Very inconvenient place to go without the free shuttle bus. We didn't know there is a free shuttle bus, so we walked there from public bus stop. Mega supermarket closed down. And have some eateries there. Nothing much to see . Won't go there if no purpose.

First of all, to my surprise, there is a fresh seafood market at level two. The latest comments are generally true. This place don't have its old glory. Regardless have many sincere looking training centers and some good looking food. The photo is taken on the way to there :)

Very odd and interesting โ€mallโ€ from a building of a former race course. You'd never find anything quite like it, hard to define what it is or tries to be. I guess they are making use of an old building, before they will one day be demolished and redeveloped. Many of the shops had gone after covid, left with only eateries and supermarket.

I ordered Pearl Milk Tea, I will try Brown Sugar Milk Tea next time. Shop is facing the car park whereby the main road is. We are very much enjoy eating and seeing all doggies here !

Love this place. It's a shame that it's going to be taken down end 2023. So many food outlets, and free parking!! Who doesn't love free parking. Wish they extend the lease longer.

It's sad to see the place is a bit run down after the pandemic. Hope that this place can be more vibrant again, although there're still quite a few good places for food and shopping. Hope to see some good Japanese restaurant too, as the last one disappear after the pandemic.

The place seems kinda abandoned. Only 1 Halal Restaurant there which is kinda costly & open very late.. Should have more affordable Halal F&B for the Muslims Patrons cause after the Football Match/Training, they need to fill up their stomach! Oh ya, attach bidets in the cubicles too for hygiene purposes!

Quite pathetic after all these years and all the poor tenants struggling with perhaps EAT doing the best there now.. I would propose a strong anchor tenant and if you dont know who to bring and from where, come email me and for a consultancy fee, I can help to make your venue a strong one..

On Melbourne Cup Day, the Grandstand is a hive of activity. Fashionistas strut their stuff in their finest frocks and fascinators, while punters place their bets and cheer on their favorite horses. The air is filled with excitement and anticipation as the race draws near. Once the race begins, the Grandstand comes alive with the sound of cheering and applause. The atmosphere is electric as the horses thunder down the track. It's an unforgettable experience to be part of such a passionate crowd.

For some reason, I had never visited this place before. Finally, visited on 12.12.23. Manage to catch a glimpse of its past glory before its gone for good. It's in its last moments. Most of the activities had ceased. This once grandeur place is journeying into history. Glad to have come to see this magnificent place.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Visited 22/12/2023 Sunny Friday Morning. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience Last futsal at the perimier pitch. Most of the vendors have moved and only left 2-3 FNB stalls still in operation. Basically it is a deserted site now. Closing 31/12/2023 making Way for future residential development. We have lost another heritage rich building in Singapore.

A shell of a place that used to be bustling with activity, with a few useful shops and 3-4 decent cafes and restaurants - not to mention a great food court with a good selection of food options. Now there's a couple of furniture stores with no customers, boarded up shop fronts, and parents looking bored while waiting for children to finish their classes. Not sure what the management did, or what else might have happened, but it's a huge disappointment these days.

Food is fantastic, my entire family young or old enjoyed the dinner. Service wasnt prompt enough probably due to CNY. 1 concern about the mgmt, they seem to be quite flexible with capacity despite having a mandate >5 pax per table. Witnessed some large groups during CB so if ure concerned, u can avoid.

Sadistic Chinese bus driver. Last Saturday on 19th Dec at 1305 hrs, I boarded a free bus service PC 6257 G from 6th Av to the Grandstand. Before alighting at the last stop, besides 2 horses statue, I asked 2 or 3 times in Mandarin and Hokkien of departure location. He confirmed this is also a pick up stand. With 5 other shoppers, we waited for the 1520 hrs departure bus. He refused to pick us up saying the pick up is behind near the Hao Supermarket contradicting what he said earlier. His Indian or Malay colleague is sitting inside this empty bus. He flatly refused our pleas to board and told us he will wait for 5 mins at Hao Supermarket pick up stand. We rushed there. Was told by others waiting for private transportation the bus did not wait at all. Confronted him when I took the 1550 hrs ride driven by his Indian/ Malay colleague, who was earlier sitting inside. Shouted and questioned him of his despicable, deplorable and sadistic behaviour. He kept quiet the whole journey. Fooled twice by him !!! The company T shirt he wore with motto on sleeves * We Care * Really ? A disgraceful driver to your company for deliberately fooling this senior citizen and others chasing a bus. Ask his co-driver on this incident and take drastic action to provide a truly great experience shopping at The Grandstand.
