This
is
not
the
old
Funan
for
sure.
That
mall
had
only
computer
and
gaming
resources
but
was
still
fairly
popular.
Food
options
then
were
so-so.
The
new
Funan
is
so
much
spunkier.
Besides
the
food
court,
there
are
plenty
of
great
F&B
outlets
like
Afuri,
the
rare
Carl's
Jr
and
Ba
Wang
bbt.
Unfortunately,
I
recently
found
out
that
my
go-to
wanton
mee
with
tomato
noodles
(Wang
Kee)
has
closed
down.
No
thanks
to
Covid.
Groceries
are
served
by
NTUC
Finest
while
you
can
find
a
litany
of
shops
selling
small
bites
at
level
1.
I
found
my
best
$15
haircut
at
the
QB
House
Premium
and
the
lady
was
METICULOUS.
I
say
this
with
conviction
because
it
is
not
easy
to
make
a
gradually
balding
man
look
great.
How
do
I
tell?
In
the
initial
days
of
QB,
their
staff
used
to
cover
your
ears
whether
they
use
the
vacuum
on
your
stray
hairs.
Over
the
years,
they
abandoned
that
practice
and
the
recent
haircut
is
the
first
time
in
a
long
while
I
encountered
it.
Funan
has
a
members-only
toilet
with
bathing
facilities.
I
used
it
once
when
my
house
was
under
renovation.
It
was
pretty
sick
and
amenities
included
a
hairdryer
and
lockers
for
your
belongings.
After
bathing,
you
can
go
around
shopping
in
the
following
shops.
If
you
need
stationery,
Funan
is
home
to
the
one
and
only
stationery
shop
that
specialises
in
the
Japanese
variant,
Think.
I
frequent
this
shop
whenever
I
want
to
have
a
feel
of
Loft
or
Tokyu
Hands
does
not
have
the
stuff
I
want.
It
does
not
have
a
membership
scheme
but
they
have
a
couple
of
20%
sale
during
the
year.
That
is
when
I
shop
for
my
friends
or
colleagues.
Outdoor
Life
is
also
situated
on
the
same
level
as
Think
but
their
prices
are
a
bit
on
the
high
side.
Their
selling
point
is
they
stock
outdoor
products
that
many
do
not.
They
recently
ventured
into
cycling
accessories
so
if
you
are
after
Giro
or
Leatt
helmets,
gloves
or
protective
gear,
it
is
a
great
place
to
see
see
look
look.
Lastly,
Funan
has
not
abandoned
its
IT
roots.
You
can
still
find
computer
parts
but
nowadays,
it
is
either
Sim
Lim
or
Shopee,
wherever
is
cheaper.
It
also
houses
2
of
the
major
photography
shops
in
SG:
TK
Foto
and
Alan
Photo.
Whisper:
I
found
that
the
cheapest
bundle
for
Sony
A7C+Sigma
24-70mm
belongs
to
a
guy
called
Kenny
who
operates
out
of
Sim
Lim's
Alan
Photo.
Other
shops
worth
mentioning
are
Brompton,
Under
Armour,
Milksha
(who
has
an
app
that
deals
out
promos
from
time
to
time),
Bose,
Love
Bonito,
DJI
and
at
least
two
electrical
appliances
stores
(Best
Denki
and
Courts).
The
current
pop-up
store
is
BTS
so
armies,
head
down
now.
