My very 1st visit to City Square mall was more than 10 yrs ago. Along the way, I continued to visit it infrequently. It has, however, continue to be many Singaporeans’ fave. Business there must have been badly affected in the 2-yr C19… So, when my wife and I went back there last week, the place was quite quiet. Several shops were closed (the AC was really cold) But much credit must be given to the owner and/or management for maintain and upkeeping the mall very, very well. Everything was clean and neat. The toilets were fabulous. On the whole, we’re pleased with the place. Eating our lunch and dinner there was great. Note that there's now no money changer there. Total time spent: 7 hrs

Conveniently situated just across from the CIQ Woodlands checkpoint in JOHOR Bahru, this location is easily accessible if you're arriving by bus, thanks to the connected covered sheltered walkway. I found accessing it through CIQ to be exceptionally hassle-free. The area boasts numerous cafes, bakeries, and food stalls, along with ample space for leisurely strolls and shop exploration. Notably, there's a sizable Uniqlo rumored to offer more budget-friendly prices than in Singapore, making it worth a visit, even if I opted not to make a purchase. Additionally, stores like Cotton On are in close proximity. If you're planning a day trip and safety isn't a concern, I highly recommend exploring this area.

It's a nice popular mall, near the immigration checkpoint. It's in the heart of the city, within walking distance to hotel like Hilton DoubleTree, Amari etc. It's about 30 to 40min drive from Senai International Airport. Its quite spacious and has plenty of options for food and beverages. Because of its strategic location, it seems to be popular for the Singaporeans too. It's also next to another mall JBCC. Cinema operator here is mmCineplexes.

Good entry point into JB soccer it is next to the bridge from immigration. Lots of shops but getting a slightly worn out due to the years it has been in operation. Definitely cannot compare with South Key and due for a refresh. Nonetheless, a great place to do a shop hop over from Singapore for affordable food and shopping.

This is a fantastic mall. Often busy with tourist from Singapore. The mall has a wide array of shops and easily accessible from the CIQ. The mall is well decorated with different Cultural and religious events. Quite a few decent shops that sell clothes at a discounted price. The mall boasts a Cinema and it's connected to the Komtar JB CC which makes the shopping experience even better.

It's connected to CIQ, the first mall to land after Malaysia checkpoint. You will find many eateries, bakeries, optical shops, Decathlon, Watson, Guardian, Popular etc. Unfortunately there's no supermarket in this mall. Restrooms are a little disgusting.

(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐ Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Update: there are some F&B stores but they are scattered on different floors. There's supposedly a rooftop dining area on Level 6 but there's only one store that is opened. This mall is located right in Johor Bahru city centre next to Komtar (another mall) and it's okay. There's no supermarket here and not a lot of F&B shops so I did struggle to find any exciting foodie spots to try out. There is an odd convenience store located near/in the underground carpark (you have to 'exit' into the carpark area to get to it). Other than that, it's got the usual shops that are common to most malls in Malaysia. Tip: I actually used the mall's carpark to park my rented car and then explored the surrounding areas on foot. Take a short stroll along the 'water front' to get to nearby Little India and China Town spots.

We love this place and glad that we are able to visit this restaurant again after 2 years long. It's located opposite Komtar JBCC, inside Zenith Lifestyle Centre. Food and price are acceptable and reasonable. It was a self-service buffet and we enjoy the freedom to pick up our own choices of food.

Nice mall located at JB Central - modern mall complex with many retail outlets for apparel, food, household items, music, etc. It also has quite a good range of food outlets on one floor - ranging from local delights, Korean, Japanese, Fusion, Penang, Muslim, Chinese, Western etc- sufficient choice to suit every palate. When we visited it had numerous Moon Cake Outlets spread out all over the ground level which allowed tasting n of course purchase of all types n manner of Moon Cakes. It was quite interesting to shop n try all the different styles as well as compare the different bakeries. Enjoyable visit.

Johor Bahru City Square mall is definitely one of the better modern mall just right across the Causeway. The mall is very vibrant with a wide selection of essential products, clothings and restaurants. Everything is all in one stop without the need to step out. Their forum space is always active with various events that draws the crowd. This time their Halloween theme currently on level 1 is very detailed decorated. Kudos for the great effort!

A big department store with everything that you need. Located across the bridge from Singapore. A place to immerse yourself as it offers a unique experience for other Asian travelers, much more for foreigners. Great!

There are number of restaurant's to dine-in for various cuisines. One of my favorite store is red eye; you can shop Korean stuff like, jewellry, bags, clips, caps and k-pop stuff. If you are looking for Korean beauty products from Watsons and guardian( most of them are not available there). Do check the leather store, if you are fond of leather goods. One of the stores sells genuine goods and price is moderate.

Visited a few times back in March before the MCO. I can honestly say that the quantity and quality of the shops are above average. This place is super convenient for it’s connection to JB Customs for Singaporean travel and it’s connection to JB Sentral, as the latter is just opposite. There’s so many great options for eating that I also had my brunch here before my onward journey to Singapore.

New shop opposite Subway. I love bagels and Cinnabon buns. (Breads lover. Sour Dough lover) Went crazy when I saw this new stall. Bought pecan salted caramel cinnamon bun. It tastes fantastic, soft and not very sweet. I prefer " THE FOUNDER" cinnamon bun over CINNABON. Thumbs 👍. Managed to meet owner on that day. Next time I will try their bagels. Nov 2023

Huge mall right opposite the JB Sentral and there is a link bridge to get to the train station so it is extremely convenient and accessible. There are a good variety of shops especially the reputable brands like Lavender bakery and Uniqlo. There is also a good number of pharmacy especially with Guardian, Watson and Big pharmacy side by side. There is also a caring pharmacy opposite. Fastfood like KFC and other cuisine like Korean and Japanese food can also be found. There is also a massage shop and the Mixue icecream available. The toilets does not have toilet paper and that is shocking for me as it is a basic bathroom necessities. For foreigners do prepare your own paper if you need to use the toilet. Lastly, given that it is a high traffic mall being connected to the station, it'll be a plus point to have lockers station available. Looking forward to see progress and improvement soon!

It is filled with the key food eateries and retailers. It also has very good representation of pharmacies. Tried Ho Kee Seng noodles in the 6th floor. Seems to be the only tenant on 6th floor. Enjoyed it tremendously. Also had Baskin Robbins ice cream. Decathlon is on the 2nd floor and there are 2 major GRAB pick up points: (1) Next to Levi's or (2) Javanese Massage. Major grouse is that prices are high due to its proximity to Singapore. Th

JUNE 2023 🩵 a convenient shopping centre between customs immigration and the rest of cantik Johor Bahru 🩷 If you’ve just arrived from SG, you can have a meal here and use the washroom first before venturing further inland 🌼 or explore popular nearby outdoor areas like Hiap Joo Bakery or Pasar Malam by Jalan Segget etc. This mall also acts as a pit stop for patrons checking out of their hotels to grab some snacks here before returning home 🪻

Conveniently located just opposite to the CIQ Woodlands checkpoint JOHOR Bahru. If you are taking a bus to enter Malaysia then you just need to walk over to this place via connected covered sheltered walkway. I found it super convenient to access this place via CIQ at ease. The place offer many cafes, bakeries, other food stalls and good spread out space to walk around and explore the shops. There is one big Uniqlo which people told me that it is cheaper in JB as compared to Singapore. Though I decided not to buy anything here but worth exploring. There are na y other stores such as Cotton On etc in the vicinity. If you are planning for a day trip without any concerns of safety then this place is recommended. On the way back just walk over to CIQ and return to Singapore at ease.

This mega mall is situated at the centre of Johore Bahru and just beside the custom course way between JB and Singapore. It is a convenient shopping center for both Singaporeans and Locals. It is also fun to see seasonal decoration at the mall as well as wall art located in the shopping inner city. Make a trip or stop at this popular mall in Johore Bahru.

Close to Singapore check point. Many Singaporean will come here esp weekend. No branded store inside, grocery only at Kapitan grocery shop. Many food selling inside. But there is a nice Japanese restaurant , can try . The parking fee after 6pm is rm3 per entry

Business fully depends on JB-Singapore travellers.. Been a haunted mall since border closed, especially after lockdown during mid of 2021, the mall is closed for public..

This is the top mall in Johor Bahru, and one of the oldest too! It is the best managed mall there and offers a range of great food and beverage outlets and fashion etc. The place is big and offers adequate parking and is directly connected to the CIQ via a walkway. There’s a cinema, multiple restaurants and lots of shops selling products cheaper than Singapore including H&M and Uniqolo (though not all products). This place needs a proper grocery store though. I recommend this place!

Date visited - 14 September 2023. A large shopping mall conveniently located next to JB Sentral train station and Customs & Immigration Complex. Has a large variety of shops to spend at least half a day in. Occasionally, temporary events will be held at the ground floor atrium.

Came down for some chilling and found that quite a number of shops have closed down at level 5. Food wise, there are still quite a variety, ranging from the usual kopi, Chinese food, to Japanese food. I would think Sushi House is value for money, seeing that the food is nicely textured and the price not too much. Old town coffee is still here, baskin robbins too. Decathlon to me is a new addition, and popular is having a sale. Overall a nice chill for a lazy day But you probably wont need to spend too long here. 3 hours should be more than enough unless you intend to go for massage or a movie or a nail therapy
