If I had to pick a favourite cafe on the east, Craftsman would be it. Quality of food and coffee are consistent making it my go to comfort food. Been coming here for more than 8 years and happy to see how the menu and outlets have grown. Their triple brioche is my staple order on a regular day when a filling meal is required. Even if ordered as a delivery, the portions and flavours were still great. If you have a sweet tooth, try their desserts, their crusty waffle fails to disappoint, visually stunning as well!

Located at the ground floor of Siglap V2, it's a really convenient spot for a good coffee fix. Personally started with the Craftsmen at Novena, and was quite impressed with how the 2 outlets look and feel this cohesive. Service is great. Coffee is amazing. Loved my long black. Tried the Roasted Almond Soy Latte for the first time, not bad. Will return again.

Visited on weekday around 10:30am, the cafe is basically empty. Ordered Craftsmen Savoury Waffle with bacon and Cappuccino. The waffle is actually quite thick and huge, if you are thinking of getting the waffle because you are not that hungry, don't. The waffle itself is okay, fluffy on the inside, but because of the thickness can't really feel the crispiness of the outer layer. Bacon tastes great but is quite hard and because they are tangled together it is a bit difficult to cut them. Egg is served scrambled with mustard sauce I guess? with peanut bits, taste quite good although I feel the combination is a bit weird in the beginning. Cappuccino has great smell and taste great as well, tried their coffee at Prairie before and this cafe's coffee is great as well. Staffs are okay, nothing much to comment about, the environment and ambience is great. Will probably visit again to try other food and their great coffee.

A long time favourite hangout of mine, Craftsman just has a warmth (and good coffee) that you keep coming back to ~ A few of my favourites from the food that I've tried are the Tater Tots, Timeless Waffle & Scrambled Eggs with Cheese. The waffle especially - perfectly crispy & buttery on the outside while soft on the inside. As for drinks, their Roasted Almond Latte is hands down one of the best I've had - with its nutty, mildly sweet, smooth coffee roast. It's definitely worth having a cup of this goodness while scrolling or flipping through a book whenever you just need a getaway or a chill weekend!

Superb breakfast / brunch place with friendly staff. Water is complementary. Their menu is pretty extensive and we ordered a variety of items to share between us. Portion is quite sizable and everything is good. Give the tomyum pasta a shot - it’s so good but tad spicier than expected considering the color of it doesn’t look intimidating. Must order the steak on sourdough. The creamy truffle/mushroom sauce (I think) it came with is SO good.

Their savory waffles were excellent - crunch on the outside, but soft and not soggy inside. Scrambled eggs were very well seasoned and tasty. However, at the price point, it’s a sometimes food.

Always a reliable place for good coffee & cafe food. Was here late afternoon with a craving for some waffles & ice cream. Ordered the S’mores Chocolate waffle & Love for ice cream waffle. Really a lot of ice cream per serving, like 3 scoops. Most places only give 2 scoops for the same price. Place is always crowded so just be patient & wait awhile. You will not be disappointed.

a friendly neighbourhood cafe w decently good coffee and mains. been patronising this place thrice now and i must say every visit was no doubt a satisfying one. whatever we have had w craftsmen were good and we are always delighted to have such a filling meal. the portion is huge and generous as you can see. it’s all on you to decide how you’d like your egg to be done if you’re ordering brioche; and i’d love mine to be scrambled but i’m a little disappointed w how they’re done here as they always turned out pretty dry and almost fully cooked instead of moist and fluffy. sweet potato fries (not pictured) serves as a perfect side dish to our dinner by the beach at east coast park as the fries weren’t soggy at all yet still a little crisp on the outside despite ordering takeout.

Very cozy place, we loved the environment. The dirty chai latte is a must try! The food was good as well, the waffles was delicious. The only observation was the baked beans/bacon came a bit cold but it wouldn’t stop me from coming back :)

The place has a F.R.I.E.N.D.S vibe without the loudness, and more of a cozy hangout with 2-3 people. The timeless waffles with maple syrup and butter is a staple whenever I choose to visit this place, along with a Cappuccino. They’ve gotten the others right too on other occasions - the Caramel latte and Hazelnut latte.

Oh wow the coffee is superb! I love it~ mine is soy flat white. I can taste the roast of the coffee and it’s fragrant! This is as good as populas, my favourite~ might be my new favourite:)) the steak sour dough bread dish is really tasty too! The sourdough bread is toasted and not too soft. I have gone to places where the toast is just not toasted enough and all the gravy just soak it and I can’t taste the bread in the end. This one is great in texture. I’m only half done and I’m writing this review. I like the cream with the steak. It’s cooked medium rare perfectly and it’s tender the pomegranate adds a touch of sweetness. I will come back for sure.

Bought croissants on a Saturday morning, unfortunately not fresh at all, tasted like they were made a day before. Reached out on Instagram to address the issue, but no reply since. Disappointed with both the product and the lack of customer service.

Great little place for a nice breakfast in the East. Prices might seem high but the portions are really generous! The salmon eggs Benedict was done perfectly and their breakfast set is not bad too! After eating here, you can skip the next meal. Coffee is also pretty good so I totally recommend this place for a nice weekend brunch

Second time trying out Craftsmen Coffee at Siglap. The first time was around March 2021 and the menu has changed since. Back then, we ordered the following - 1) Kimchi sourdough open’wich - This is a lovely mishmash of flavours, contrasted by the spicy kimchi they use and the bacon. I wish they bring this back to the menu. Quite the filling meal. 2) Pork sausage croissant sandwich - This was nice and crunchy. Like the sauces they use for this. Arrived at 11AM on a weekend, and it was packed. The second time in November 2023, we ordered the following - 1) Truffle egg sourdough - generous scrambled egg served with mushrooms, shaved cheese and truffle paste. This has a good taste, but does get repetitive. 2) Big Breakfast - Ah, my usual go-to option for breakfasts and brunches. Comes with avocado, beautifully orange scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, baked beans, bacon, pork bratwurst, hash browns and mushrooms. This is really filling. 3) Cortado - Good fix of strong coffee. Actually, needed a little sugar to balance it out. 4) Mocha - Nice version of mocha. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Arrived at 10:30 on a weekday and it was quite empty.

Roasted almond latte - best in town. My favourite neighbourhood hangout cafe for a good cup of afternoon coffee - especially after a long day of video conferences. Prego! 👍

Discovered my new favorite hangout place after work. My go-to order is their matcha latte, best matcha drink I’ve tasted yet in Singapore.

The worst burger patty I’ve ever eaten. It was hard and dry, severely overdone like it was fried. Crab Aglio Olio was equally bad, it’s worse than mass market pasta brands. The crab meat was dry and looks old while the pasta was bland. No pics taken but do try them out at Siglap outlet and you’ll know what I mean. I’ve been patronising since ~2014 and the standard I must say have dropped so much. Please buck up team Craftsman.

Repeat visit to this location on September 7th 2021 mid afternoon. Had the roasted almond latte & Jagrittos Lime flavoured made in Mexico. And the Almond Croissant was good too.

Perfect selection of beans and they make a great barista coffee here. They also offer a good variety of desserts, taste above average, I tried pistachio chocolate cake and wish it could be more moist

Been coming here since 2016. Sad to say, the food quality has dropped over the years. Tom yum seafood pasta used to be delicious and the sauce served currently is watery and lacks flavour. Croissant used to be flaky and crispy but not anymore. Coffee is still good except that they remove the dark chocolate strip which they used to serve together.

A no frills neighborhood coffee place! Serves up a pretty good and fairly consistent cup of coffee in the recent years (mostly hits and some misses I must admit) and pretty yummy breakfast items! Can’t go too wrong with Craftsmen!

Simply love their long black. I am here almost every Friday night to have long black and wind down the week. The staffs are forever warm if you take a bit of initiative to warm them up, they can be very friendly. 😊

Food is not bad, decent portion and with great choices for meat eaters and vegetarians. But taste is quite usual as compared to other cafes. The 7 spice chai latte is also a bit overrated by iron lady chef. It is overpowering and spices are not well blended. You can literally feel the grainy texture while drinking. Serving time is also quite long. My hubby almost finished eating his before I received mine, about half an hour to 40 minutes. The number one thing that I dislike is the poor ventilation. You can smell all the food and cooking smell once you step into the cafe and you will leave with all the food smell on you… My daughter who was sensitive to stuffiness and smell felt nauseous and lost her appetite. I believe Craftsmen can do better.

Love the cozy ambience! The coffee was good and nicely presented. Nice brunch menu n a good cake range. Recommend for some nice quiet moments on weekdays.

Coffee is AMAZING!!! i love that it is not acidic and that an adorable piece of chocolate accompanies the drink! Also, our order of the triple stack toast filled with pulled pork and ham was very flavourful and I can taste the blackforest marinated ham! Eggs were perfectly poached and complemented the meal very well. We also ordered the almond croissant that was not overly sweet, so that's a plus! The ambiance here is great, laidback and relaxing! Service staff were very friendly and welcoming! Would definitely find my way back here again when I'm nearby!

We just stumbled across this place while trying to find a post-lunch coffee late afternoon. This was the perfect place to have a few coffees, some snacks, and spend a few hours reading a book or chatting with your friends. They also have oat, soy, and almond milk to make any milk-based drink vegan. Other than teas and coffees, this place serves a variety of juices, smoothies and mocktails. This place gets quite full during the weekends and in the weekday evenings. Yet, the atmosphere is very comfy and makes you want to come back.

Very comfortable & cozy setting. Great coffee. We ordered the full breakfast set and cookie and cream waffles. They did not disappoint! Highly recommended.

Definitely one of the best waffle place I have ever tasted. Their Belgian waffle has a crispy crust with soft filling. We tried their Strawberry waffle and man, it was divine. They really serious when they mentioned a “premium” vanilla ice cream. I definitely notice specks of vanilla beans in the ice cream. We quite surprised of the size of the waffle, literally heap of love and goodness, topped with a huge scoop of ice cream!! Definitely worth it.
