👍👍 If all vegetarian meals were like this, I'd convert in a heartbeat! Started with tomato soup which was okay and then it got better with the lasagna. The lasagna was well constructed with the right amount of cheese and filling which was mostly made up of mushroom pieces. We also had a pizza in these... If all vegetarian meals were like this, I'd convert in a heartbeat! Started with tomato soup which was okay and then it got better with the lasagna. The lasagna was well constructed with the right amount of cheese and filling which was mostly made up of mushroom pieces. We also had a pizza in these middle which was good too but maybe not an idea since I'm already having cheese overload from my lasagna. I finished the evening with apple crumble which was probably my highlight. So good... again constructed well in the small flat plate to contain the crumbling dessert topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. All in all a nice evening sat outside al fresco. Very attentive waiting staff too.

Food are good for sharing. Serving are very fast. They make the vegan food appetising in different way. The king mushroom taste like barbecue meat. Margarita pizza is a gem. Thin crispy crust and flavorful Will definitely come back for more.

First time visiting due to friend’s recommendation. Did not disappoint. Lots of options that don’t make you feel you’re eating vegetarian. Drink menu is extensive but on pricey side. Service was good.

You won't believe how rare it is to have a Mediterranean vegetarian place that has so many allium free options, including the Pizzas. Glad to see original sin survive the pandemic when many didn't. The Moussaka and Mediterranean pizza were good, though a little too salty but that's probably just me. Nice ambience for a date with friends or the significant other, especially over a good conversation. You pay for the quality. Enjoy!

Great and tasty vegetarian food. Feels indulgent but not unhealthy. Extremely value for money when using Burpple deals. Service is efficient and staff and friendly too. Highly recommend for all to try it at least once.

The concept of vegetarian food is amazing and I was a huge fan of this place but the service in recent times has been bad. I got an aluminum foil in my food today and the server asked what would I like to do.... having and apology and replacement right away would have been great. I would not recommend for any special occasions

Quintessential vegetarian fine dining experience in Singapore. Been around forever but still retains innovation and taste. Loved the impossible pizza. The set lunches are an incredible value and the restaurant doesn't sting on portions or the best desserts. Service was particularly good on the day we went. Reservations advisable, was crowded on a weekday for lunch.

At first it looked like it was on the pricey side but the top quality food explains and justifies it. - Started off with a rare find - freshly squeezed juice, and it came with no ice (just how I like it)! - Mains were also wonderfully plated and you can tell they’ve put thought into their menu from the choice of ingredients and superb taste. - Dessert: Had the vegan brownie with coconut ice-cream and it was a DELIGHT as well. The brownie was creamy while the ice cream was light. The only thing that went wrong was that the aircon or something seemed to be leaking now and then. I noticed random droplets of water kept suddenly appearing on my phone and the table, and who knows how much went into my food… it wasn’t a constant drip, so unfortunately I only realized it was from the ceiling towards the end. I told our waiter and he said he’ll look into it but we were already done by then. (An apology might have been better though.) Was debating a 3 star review as ceiling water in my food is kind of gross, but to be fair, if we noticed earlier, they might have changed our seats, so food wise they still deserve at least a 4 star! :)

It is the first time i’ve visited Singapore and decided to try Original Sin. From first glimpse of the restaurant, the design of the interior and exterior is beautiful. The tiled tables add a beautiful touch to the outdoors. The staff is very friendly and provide a great atmosphere in the restaurant. I am unable to eat dairy as i am allergic. I thought I would try the food here since it is vegetarian and I hoped they’d have good options for me since it is often difficult to find. Of all the dishes i ordered, none of them disappointed. The chefs were able to make each dish entirely lactose free (even the pizza!). I got the impossible pizza, risotto, and truffle fries. Each of which were used with dairy substitutes. The impossible meat on the impossible pizza tasted so good I completely forgot it wasn’t real meat! Overall it was a great experience between the restaurants culture and the spectacular food. I will definitely be coming back before I leave.

Have been here 3x over 5 years and they've evolved into a full vegetarian Mediterranean restaurant. It's okay. I wanted to try the platter. Food: 3.5/5 Pizza, pasta, platter... the ingredients felt factory made. Or made in big batches and kept for re-heating. I might be wrong. It seems to be underwhelming for the prices. My taste buds weren't that excited by the combinations. Service: 5/5 Attentive and polite crew 👍Thank you. Ambience: 4/5 indoors It was a hot day. Cushioned seating, spacious enough for wheelchair but stairs around the area makes it challenging. Cost: $80+, 2pax, 2h

I had ordered many dishes. Not too mention they were extremely expensive. I have been to a few Turkish shops and this shops Moussaka did not taste like it at all. It tasted like shepherds pie. DO NOT BUY. I would give 0 if I could. The canolli was just a petty attempt at ravioli and it was not worth the price. Please do not buy it it was very unappetising and I am never ordering it again

Very good tasting but pricey Mediterranean vegetarian food. I can see why this restaurant is popular with customers. Noticed they now serve a Beyond Burger, but why come to here to eat a standard burger when they serve more delicious dishes? Service staff are friendly, and the food comes out fairly quickly.

Splendid food and wine and always very consistent quality. Possibly the best restaurant in HV for me.

  • 2/5 Giri K. 4 years ago on Google
This is a vegetarian restaurant. Their mezze platters and appetizers are good offering a variety of food in one go. These can fill you up leaving not much space for the main course. Their main course dishes like pizzas and mousaka can be hit or miss. They offer a selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Once, the inside smelled really bad and luckily, though we'd reserved an indoor table, we were able to move outdoors because there was not much of a crowd. The restaurant is located on a very quiet road hidden inside Holland Village. This makes for a quiet dining experience suitable for conversation.

The food is good . Mainly Vegetarian place. The portion of each dish is good for one person. Felt is was unnecessarily expensive as a dinner for 2 costed bout $100. Had tried to make a booking earlier by calling directly which was denied stating they are overbooked . Then tried to make a reservation on Google maps itself ..which was instantly confirmed instantly. Later when I reached the place for dining .. saw that most of the tables were empty contrary to the overbooked remark earlier. Anyhow the food was ok. The ambiance and fun of sitting outside having a candle lit dinner was good

My first time to this restaurant and I was welcomed by a giant fly (still alive, btw) in between the napkin in my place setting. The staff didn’t address that at all (not even an apology), and just gave me a new napkin. I was kind of put off by that already but stayed on anyway. Thankfully, my experience in this restaurant was salvaged by the incredible food that was served. All three stars that I’m giving are purely for the food and the chefs of this restaurant. Knocked off the two stars for the lackluster service and cleanliness. Would recommend the management of this place to employ better staff or at least train the existing ones better... because for the prices that this restaurant charges, one would expect MUCH better service. That said, I might be inclined to come back again just for the food. Will update my review if the service is better the next time I do eat there again. Pictured: Mushroom Ravioli - really fantastic! (~$30), lasagna - good but could be better (~$28), Pita and hummus dip - really liked this (~$14). P.s. this place is on Entertainer.

Good that they serve vegetarian food. The food presentation was great. Its something different from ordinary vegetarian food. Its kind of pricey. Good to try. The coffees were disappointing. Paying the price of $6, we expect Coffee Art for latte and cappuccino. But, when it was served, its like coffee machine kind of coffee...

We ordered 5 dishes to share - the haloumi, moussaka, magic mushrooms, vodka pasta (can't remember the exact name now) and a pizza. All of the dishes tasted amazing - it was enough food for 5 hungry people to share and we didn't have to wait very long for our orders to arrive. My favourite was pasta and the moussaka. This is a great place to come with friends. Do what we did and share food so you can try lots of things!

Nice dine outdoor. Good choice of vegetarian dishes inspired to the Mediterranean cousine. Tried the Portobello mushroom with mozzarella and the risotto with mushrooms and were both very good. The risotto was perfectly cooked, not too mushy, not too hard, just right and I'm Italian.....

My husband said giving 3 stars is being very generous , he ordered spaghetti which he thinks it is below average . My opinion spaghetti for $29 is ridiculous expensive . As for vegan spiced cauliflower is not bad . Is not easy to find vegan pizza and again it is very expensive for vegetarian pizza with little cauliflower and pumpkin . They do give free tap water .

Great meal. Excellent ambiance. Cooked wine. Super disappointing that the red wines aren't properly stored and come out "room" (way too hot) temperature.

Fantastic! This place is primarily Italian, but they often add an Indian twist. Who'd have guessed that would be wonderful? Try the Kashmir pizza, which uses tandoori sauce to create a party in your mouth. Or go for the Tandoori Skewer: cubes of vegetables served with tangy yogurt and mango chutney. Or maybe you're in the mood for classical Italian. Not a problem! The spaghetti burrata, Mediterranean pizza, and lasagna are all waiting to play their melodies on your taste buds. I've been here dozens of times and discovered so many tasty and surprising dishes. Check it out!

Best creamy milky mushroom alfredo spaghetti. Great value lunch sets each with soap/salad and drink. Optional dessert. Ciabatta with avocado chunky sauce and braised portobello full of natural unami flavour plus greens in Italian black balsamic vinegar. Or all time favourite tomato spaghetti!

Good variety in the menu, but honestly we didn't find anything special about the food. Definitely overpriced. We had the marsala eggplant and a burger with fries... Both servings were a bit small, and the eggplant stuffing had very little lentils and chickpeas.

Nice menu, good vegan options, tasty food. Would be 5 stars if not so pricey. I tried the burger with the beyond Patty and vegan cheese, and it was really well made. Also had one of the pizzas, which was ok, but having vegan cheese options anywhere is a big brownie points for them. Have tried the cauliflower steak before, and also the mezze platter, and both are excellent. The thing is, that the menu is made of pretty humble veggies, but is quite pricey. The brownie with coconut ice cream was really good, and highly recommend. Good wine and spirits collection too. Good place to go celebrate an occasion if you are vegan/vegetarian

  • 1/5 Ham 4 years ago on Google
The food is very expensive despite it being simple homestyle cooking. I don't understand why someone would think it acceptable to charge upwards of $30 for a starter in this location - this is 5* hotel pricing! To make matters worse I was treated very rudely by the service staff after a misunderstanding about the bill. I'm talking accusations of lying and the bill slammed down on table without a word. Looking at the other reviews, complaints about the poor standard of service staff seem to be common. I won't be returning again.

I came back for the fifth time today. First for a lunch. Wanted to find out how good is it since price looks good. $30++ for 3 course and a drink? Why not?? I waited to be seated. Trust me if it wasn’t for social norm manners I would seat myself. I stood. Nobody attended to me. Nobody said : sorry give me a moment. Until I have to smile too hard to get some attention. Seated. Looked around. They were busy serving food and drinks and new walk ins. Then started to got busy with wiping plates then folding napkins. I had to raise my hand just to get menu and a glass of water. Read through know what I wanted. Raised my hands again. To first guy. To second guy. To third guy. Wait again. Raised my hand with menu. Waited again. They saw me. But Everybody is busy. I finished my glass of water. Then I stood up and left. Really. I don’t want to lose my happy mood. All I wanted is a plate of pasta. Guess I’m asking for too much.

Food is delicious. Make sure you book a reservation well in advance. Mediterranean Pizza crust was having the just right thickness and crispyness. Tandoori skewer was yummylicious! Food here was rather on the pricey side, but it's as good as atas vegetarian food can get. We had the lemongrass corn fritter, spaghetti buratta cheese and moussaka. My husband and I truly enjoyed the lemongrass corn fritters and the spaghetti buratta, but the moussaka tasted too "beany" for us. I guess we are just not fans of lentils and chickpeas in general, so we would probably not order this dish again as it made us really full very fast. The spaghetti on the other hand was really cooked to perfection and was al dente, with the tangy tomato sauce complementing really well with the burrata. The lemongrass corn fritters were really a novelty to us, but the ingredients went so well together, so it's definitely worth getting again!!

Located in a quiet location behind Holland village Mrt, this restaurant serves Italian food. Vegetarian/Vegan place I assume. For appetizers we ordered a mezze platter and fries. The mezze platter was good but the portion was small, even the large one which they say 3-4 pax was pretty small. Truffle fries were nice and crispy. For main course, we tried Spinach tortellini, Mediterranean pizza, impossible pizza and lasagne. Pizzas were thin crust and tasted good. Spinach tortellini was the best, it was very delicious, must try! Lasagna was just average! For desserts, we had tiramisu, and I loved it, I can go again to just have a tiramisu there. For drinks, no draught beers, only bottled ones like Asahi and Stella, we'd also tried Sangria but it wasn't that great! Drinks menu is actually bit limited. Staff were friendly and service was fast! Dishes are mostly 20$+, for 5 of us the bill was 350$+, so around 70$ per pax! ($$$ ) Check out photos from my order!

I would say this place is a Gem for Vegans and Vegetarians, I ordered the Set menu which turned out to be a pretty decent deal. The soup of the day was tomato and basil with sweet corn. Very Good. Main Dish was Beyond Burger, I felt it a little chewy , but still decent. The Apple Crumble with Coconut Icecream is a must try. Overall, I think its pretty good place, A bit pricey , but I think I will visit again.

Had awesome dinner here. The food is amazing. We ordered mezze platter, vegan burger, lasagna, cocktail and red sangria. The burger comes with truffle fries, small platter is sufficient for 2 persons if you want to order something else. The service is good too.

Great vegetarian restaurant. Ordered the mezze platter, magic mushrooms, lasagna and tiramisu. The mezze platter is a must try, love the dips and the felafel balls. The lasagna is great too. The tiramisu is okay, would love it a little more moist and more coffee liquor.

Honest vegetarian Mediterranean restaurant. I had the mezzes platter as starter and the moussaka for main. Both really good especially considering I am a meat lover. Service was attentive and quick.

Amazing! Original Sin is now one of my favorite restaurant. It is my definition of food done well. I find Mediterranean fare tend to be too heavy on the oil and flavors (especially tomato). It is not the case here. Everything felt guilt-free: non-oily, yet amazingly fragrant with balanced flavors (i.e. non-overpowering). I would recommend to share to experience the variety in flavors. We ordered the Spanakopita, Bosco misto and Mezze platter. I'm not a pastry person, but the skin of Spanakopita appealed to me with light and non-oily crust. The Bosco misto was moist with very nice cheese and spinach filling. The pita and dips of the mezze platter were all great as well. Plus points for the al fresco dining option and attentive service!! The staff replaced my friend's serviette when it flew to the ground, and offered to take our photo when we were taking a wefie. Absolute love for this eatery :)

Absolutely love this place - the food is beyond delicious (you won’t even miss meat - trust me!), staff are well-trained and attentive. The bread that came with burrata was truly the highlight…. Will be back again for casual date nights.

Good vegetarian food, high prices, portion size is good, good service. A small issue is the constant flow of passerbys if you sit outside, and decor inside is getting noticeably old. I would say well done on the food and service, and an area for improvement is the ambience.

Used the Burrple 1F1 deal for the Moussaka ($28) and Spanakopita ($29) mains. Both dishes were really delicious! The Moussaka (pictured) was topped with a generous layer of cheese and filled with a blend of beans, vegetables, and lentils. The spices used were fragrant and flavourful too. Really happy that it was served piping hot! The portion was filling too. The Spanakopita was especially interesting, with a tasty mix of vegetables (mainly spinach) sandwiched by filo pastry, which was baked well and really crispy & fragrant! And on the side there was a decently sized portobello mushroom topped with a ratatouille. Filling and well worth the price too especially with the discount! Had a tiramisu ($12) afterwards, creamy with a tinge of alcohol~ I'd say it's a pretty standard tiramisu. The service was stellar! Went right before the last order but was still served warmly and with enthusiasm by the very attentive staff! Great experience :)

I think staff are told to keep asking patrons to top up wine. Not good. The pressure. But food is good tho a bit on the ex side. I don't quite like the corn appetizer. Taste quite bland. If don't eat with dip, not nice at all. But fries are good.

Good cafe with seating outside, along this busy cafe street beside Chip Bee. Quick and efficient service. Good food with lots of vegetarian options (like the large Mezze platter and Mussaka we had) Bosco Misto is worth trying..something different.

King Oyster Mushrooms: 4 stars Bosco misto: 5 stars Mediterranean Pizza: 3 stars Toppings are lovely but this crust is one of the worse ones I've tried. Thin and cardboardy. There are better places for thin crust pizza.

Set menu is ok but all food is brought together. Standard salad, nothing special and looked like a 3 year old had made it. Impossible burger clearly not hand made and lacked flavour. Friend's pasta dish was swimming in oil. Disappointing if I am honest.

Haven't been here for a while, but food is as good as ever, and the menu has expanded. A little far out of the way but worth the drive. 5 start for both the food and the service.

Didn't realise it was a vegetarian restaurant when we walked in but so glad we decided to give it a go. Every dish was delicious, especially the Bosco Misto, something we wouldn't have even tried if the waitress didn't recommend it. A lovely evening out.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants I have been. Great service, good food. Risotto is piping hot and delicious, highly recommended. Magic mushroom is so so, the cheese topping is so much that it overwhelms the taste of mushroom. Will be back to try the other items on the menu.

I came here for lunch with some friends. This is a vegetarian restaurant with a Mediterranean themed menu. They also have vegan options if that’s your thing. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was tasty. The service was friendly and the food came out promptly, even during the busy lunch hour. It was a pleasantly refreshing experience. In addition to the a la carte menu, they have two set menus: one for lunch and one for both lunch & dinner. They looked okay but we were happy to order a bunch of dishes and share. I would go back. It was a nice meal and the prices were moderate.

Great food for great price, The portion may seem small at first, but it’s very fulling - they clearly know how much to portion their food. The staff was also very accommodating - the server was able to communicate to the chef to personalize the dish to my liking. Highly recommended

Good ambience.  Indoor and outdoor seating is available.  Fantastic place for vegetarians and vegans. Makes for a great evening outing as in dinner. It's a good idea to make a reservation in advance. Service crew were warm,  polite, attentive and friendly 👍. Food despite being vegetarian was delicious 😋  👍. Menu and some pictures are the copyright of Original Sin Price a tad expensive and toilets 🚻 could be cleaner.

Been here a few times, great service and nice veggie food. We request to have food without onion and garlic, the waiter pick up the error when the kitchen accidently put onion and get a new dish before food was served, amazing. Serve food very fast. The price is slightly high (27~29 SGD for main) but worth the money. Good variety of vegetarian and vegan food, definitely coming back.

Came here for a birthday celebration for a friend who is a vegetarian. This place was recommended by a friend and we decided to come down and try. Place is quite accessible, walking distance from Holland Village MRT station. Made a reservation and was promptly ushered to our tables upon arrival. There were 3 of us and we each ordered a pasta as well as a pizza to share. I had their meatball pasta (SGD$30), portion quite huge, the tomato sauce was nice and the pasta was nicely cooked to the right texture. As for the pizza, we ordered the Kashmir pizza to share. Pizza was fantastic as well. Overall, good experience dinning here. Staff were friendly.

Good place for dinner. Came here in a weekday and the place wasn’t too crowded. The food is good for the price paid and servers were attentive and quite informative about the menu. The general vibe is quite nice. Highlight was the Risotto and Hummus, Haloumi with salad was alright. Worth trying if you’re around Holland Village.

Just went here for dinner yesterday and we were surprised with the food quality. I really like the king oyster mushroom with potato. Rate 5 stars for the service too. Beyond burger was so-so, fries were nice and dessert was great. Will probably skip the mock meat and just go all in on the vegetarian items on the menu in future. The aircon wasn't working while I was there during lunch so I was sweating quite a bit. Would probably have enjoyed the experience a bit more if it wasn't so warm and stuffy. Good attentive service from the staff though.

Good place for vegetarian dishes but I think the price is quite pricey although the food is good. It will cost 40$+ for two main dishes and one sharing. The platter for sharing is a gem, would recommend it. Burrata spaghetti was not bad but also not outstandingly impressive.

Ambience - The restaurant has this very European, relaxed vibe. Good for families but I don‘t see why you can’t go for a date either 😁 Food - my friend and I ordered the halloumi salad and lasagna. We really enjoyed the meal, the ingredients were good quality and food was prepared with care. However, did feel the halloumi was a bit too salty. They have a variety of Mediterranean and Italian options and can make it vegan too. Didn’t really enjoy the rose though. Service - prompt service and the staff were polite and friendly Would definitely return again.

First time here - food was good in general. Ordered the mezze platter (warm pita bread wedges with dips: hummus, beetroot, tzatziki and spicy capsicum) with falafel and fried feta balls which was decent. Falafel was on the dry side. The pumpkin salad had a good variety of ingredients: mesclun salad, avocado, grilled pumpkin wedges, cherry tomatoes, feta slices and brown Swiss mushrooms. The pasta sauce was delightful and penne pasta cooked al dente! First time trying vegetarian pasta with such flavours.

It was rather crowded on a weekday evening. We went to this restaurant not knowing that it is a vegan restaurant 😂 food was ok and the servers were all friendly, just that they reek of smoke smell. Prices above average. Many tourists and non-local there.

Original Sin is one of the pioneers when it comes to 100% vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. Over the years I would pay them a visit and each time I had delicious food & good dining experience. To avoid disappointment, esp when planning for weekend dining or with a large group, suggest to book/make an online reservation which is super easy. I do not eat onions and garlic and Original Sin has several dishes which they can make without allium. Some of my faves/my order: Appetiser: Roasted Cauliflower ($20) delicious crunch, charred cauliflower with handful of chickpeas served with capsicum puree. Delish! My only feedback is the small portion. Main: Spaghetti Burrata ($31). The pasta is al dente, the tomato sauce is tasty and slightly spicy (the way I like it) and the burrata is just delicious. Portion of the pasta is good. Between the 2 of us we had a starter, 2 mains, a dessert & shared a bottle of sparkling water. Total bill came to about $110ish. Alright for a fancier meal, in my opinion. Highly recommend this place for vegan, vegetarian, Jain vegetarian and anyone looking to enjoy a nice plant-based meal in a fancy-casual environment.

Great food, since many years ago. Vegetarian but meat eaters will enjoy this place too. Mezze platter was quite big even for 2 pax. Really enjoyed the moussaka and the Spanakopita. If you pay by cash there is some free ice cream.
