The place was nice, and the staff very helpful. They did warn us about the fact that it was a vegan restaurant, and everything was meatless. My partner and I were okay. Therefore, review would be through the lens of quality of food. The food was good, for the Burger, it was really well seasoned. The Salted Eggless Sweet Potato fries was a nice touch and was worth upgrading for the burger. Improvements: - The Avocado Sushi was good, however, the Cauliflower rice tasted a tad sour and smelled a little bit. - The burger was really really tiny, and I can’t imagine someone getting full from it. - The Lentil Nuggets was crispy on the outside, and too soft on the inside. Which led me to think that it was indeed overcooked on the outside and not cooked enough outside. I have visited a few vegan restaurants before, but afterglow is not on my list to visit in the future. Again, through the lens of food quality.

Their last day of operation will be November 30. I love their food and the atmosphere. Anything with their vegan cheese sauce is delicious, such as their baked sweet potato fries 🍟 Nothing is fried here btw - generally the food is rather health focused but that doesn’t mean it’s not tasty. Try their TomYum Zoodles, homemade dips and ofc the cheese sauce while you still can!

i would say, not many places can cook vegan dishes really delicious. they are one of them worth revisiting again. i just hope that they could make the latte art properly. kinda annoying to see such latte art being serve on the table. might as well don't do the latte art and just serve the proper mix of coffee. :) other than that, all is good.

My family and i thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambience and service at the Afterglow restaurant. Smallish and cosy, the menu is filled with only vegan dishes, many of which are pretty innovative. Service was super where even the water served was infused with lemon. That ask you about any allergies before taking your orders. Must-go vegan restaurant.

Afterglow a pure vegan restaurant a Hidden gem of a place at Keong Saik Road. Wonderful ambience. Great customer service. Small and cosy place. innovative menu. Yummy food. They even asked about allergies when taking order. Plain water is served with touch of lime squeeze. Love them all! Highly recommended! Must go restaurant for vegan food!

First time visited with a friend for a lunch. The ambience and atmosphere is relaxing. The food portions are quite big and very satisfying. Really grateful for the kind lady who explained us and asked us if we had any allergies etc and notified us of the dishes that have nuts at the same time gave some good recommendations. Very attentive, detailed and the food was delicious. Such a heartwarming experience.

    1. Afterglow Kimchi Avo Rolls - I disliked the taste entirely 2. Teriyaki Meatballs - the best 3. Tom Yum Zoodles - too spicy 4. Salted Eggless Sweet Potato Fries - good for the first few bites when it's hot. The Teriyaki meatballs were incredible. They were so good that they probably contributed to the other dishes seeming average. Nevertheless, for the steep asking price, I was expecting more flavor burst from the rest of the food. The restaurant was tiny and our table next to the counter felt cramped. All in all, I do not feel the need to go back to this restaurant.

Not sure if it’s just me but my burger and fries were served quite cold. Felt like they’ve left the sweet potatoes and patty out for quite long, which is okay but I’d hope for them to at least heat it up. The salad portion was generous too. We realised they don’t really use a lot of sauce to make food more flap which is quite common in a vegan place, but also it can be a bit boring. We were also asked to leave because of the dining time limit.

This evening my friend and I visited afterglow after hearing excellent reviews about the food. Not only was it delicious but we were very well taken care of by Jo who was exceptionally attentive throughout the whole evening. We had our water glasses topped up regularly without asking (which is very rare in Singapore!) Jo gave us recommendations and told us about the chefs. We had a lovely evening and Jo definitely contributed to our enjoyment. She is an asset to the team and really ran the floor tonight smoothly. From a former front of staff member, I would say job extremely well done. Thanks again!

I understand that this is a vegan restaurant but I’ve really had better. we were very excited to try the sushi but it was honestly very hard to finish the dish - the rice was substituted with almond rice and it really destroyed the experience. we shared among the few of us, and none wanted to have the last piece. I’ve had other vegan sushi’s but this rly pales in comparison, other diners probably appreciated this better since it was on almost every table - so try it at your own discretion. the dessert was top tier though, everything about it was amazing, not sure what it’s called but would highly recommend to get it.

Have patronized Afterglow through the years and always admired their philosophy of healthy non-fried vegan food. This time round, we had the fish burger (upgraded our fries to salted egg potatoes), cheesy kale, and baked cheesy cauliflower. Tasty and filling. Worth keeping in mind that their food isn’t fried, so the texture of grilled or baked items are different. Service was very attentive, and we like the homely atmosphere and decor.

Some of the dishes are very nice, but overall too pricey. I like the vegetable purée, tomyum zoodles and cold lasagne very much. The beetroot hummus is good too. Kimchi roll is decent as well.

Had a very attentive server explaining the ingredients behind the dishes. The menu is well marked for common allergens such as nuts, gluten, alliums, etc. We absolutely loved the vegan meatballs. Each dish was flavorful and even our non-vegans friends had an enjoyable experience at this restaurant. The salads are also nicely seasoned. Would like to come back for their desserts next time. The place is quite cozy and intimate but perhaps not suitable for larger groups (6+ people) as it is hard to navigate between tables.

This place is good for everyone - people on raw food and others. Everything is tasty and healthy ! Service is great and fast. This is my third time here. The kale dehydrated chips were tasty and crispy. The raw lasagna was delicious, and as a dessert the açai bowl too was wonderful. My friends too loved the food, and the place.

Very good vegan food . The lentil nuggets, burger and kimchi shusi are the best ! We have been here for at least 3 times in 6 months ! We are glad that we found a place that we can visit multiple times. Ans I don’t have to worry about traces of dairy and meat . Feels good for the environment as well. People working there are friendly . Quiet , is a good place to talk . It is located at a very nice neighborhood . Next to Chinatown .

the food at the restaurant felt really posh, and was very delicious. but the price of the of was a little expensive, with mains costing about $20 dollars, and appetizers about $10 a dish. portion wise, is filling, and the vibe of the place was very relaxing and comfortable. overall it was a new experience but if money is not an issue go ahead and try it:)

Nice ambience and mediocre food. I visited this place for lunch. I ordered the cold, raw lasagna, cheesy cauliflower bites, avo kimchi roll and lentil nuggets. The avo kimchi roll was delicious and tasty. It felt authentic and healthy. The cheesy cauliflower bites had a funny aftertaste of cheese. I felt this is as they used soya cheese. The lentil nuggets with tahini was tasty and fresh. The most shocking dish was the lasagna, there was no pasta sheets but only dehydrated vegetables. However, the price was 22 dollars. I was astonished. That is a lot for a pile of vegetables and sauce. Overall, a clean and hygienic place but please improve the prices.

First few times eating at a vegan restaurant, must say it’s quite an experience Tried a few dishes and would recommend the mac and “cheese”, zucchini linguine and lagsana. Also had the quinoa burger but it was too dry. Overall the service was great but the portions were small and the meal was expensive. Non-vegans/ vegetarians may not appreciate this restaurant much.

I love this place for its fresh food and different menu. The cauliflower is a favourite, especially with the pumpkin paste. The Japanese salad is excellent. The noodles made of zucchini is very tasty. The fish burger was really spicy. All in all, thumbs up.

I visited Afterglow on Saturday afternoon. We made a reservation in advance. I am into plant based food. Their products are completely plant-based, free from gluten, preservatives, refined sugar and artificial flavouring. These dynamic recipes can be customised to your dietary needs and preferences. They are in the midst of developing ready-made versions. Natural and nutritious Burger Patties, ‘Meat’balls and Nuggets that are the food which are loved by all ages! Food items are Easy to incorporate into stay-home meals, picnics or packed lunches. Sauces and Dips Cashew ‘Mayo’, Garlic Aioli, Nut ‘Cheese’ and Hot Sauces to perfectly complement can be a ready-to-go food. Desserts Sweets without artificial sweetener and flavouring is almost unheard of by them. They have formulated some delectable treats that are nutrient-dense and full of flavour to fix almost any craving. Some reviews by other visitors ~ “We are so excited to write a review about this place. It is not only good quality healthy food, but the love and care in the meal is absolutely amazing. We encourage everybody to visit this place. So light and filling at the same time. Thank you guys for your effort. You truly deliver excellence in a marketplace that is not ready for so much energy.” “Afterglow changed my perception of vegan, vegetarian, and raw dishes. Using local ingredients, the team at Afterglow has a real talent when it comes to adding a burst of colour and flavour to each dish.” “Our gluten-free paradise. As a coeliac it was difficult to find suitable food to eat. Afterglow was our safe haven where we returned to again and again throughout our week’s visit to Singapore.” Their Teriyaki ‘Meat’ball Tacos and Kimchi Avocado Rolls listed #2 and #18 respectively on abillionveg’s Top 50 Vegan Dishes in Singapore. The service staff was highly attentive to detail and also helped to explain what exactly we were eating. I truely enjoyed the experience of animal Cruelty free meals. No animal products are used in making the meals. For someone who takes food with no onion,no garlic, no eggs,no meat,no mushrooms, I absolutely loved their animal Cruelty free preparations.

Came here for a birthday celebration but we had a really terrible experience. Service staff was really rude, both when they called to confirm my reservation (she hung up on me super abruptly after I requested for a later timing) and at the restaurant itself (our waitress had a terrible attitude and a really black face). The food was also pricey and not great, portions were very small too. I’ve had way better plant-based foods at other places for much less, and with far better service, so if you’re looking for a good vegan/vegetarian eatery, this is not it! 🤧

This is a gem of a place. Warm personable service, cosy ambience & simply delicious vegan creations I can eat everyday. Lentil flaxseed nuggets : creamy with slightly crispy outsides, & pairs so well with the dip. Cauliflower steak : the highlight of the evening - every element of this dish comes together perfectly - we were blown away. Chocolate salted caramel fudge : I profess to be a dark chocolate connoisseur, & feared disappointment before ordering this. And I was very pleasantly delighted. Will definitely be back.

A hidden gem tucked away at Keong Saik serving healthy food. For $76, we ordered: 1. Avocado kimchi kimbab 2. Smokey burger 3. Salad 4. Chocolate miso cheesecake Overall, a must visit for those craving for a feel good meal. The highlight is definitely the avocado sushi, blew our minds away. The burger and salad were decent, while the chocolate miso cheesecake might raise eyebrows (acquired taste, perhaps). It’s a little pricey but worth the healthy goodness.

Been to Afterglow over the years and finally writing a review. I must say the service has been consistently very good. The staff regularly shows to be well-informed with what goes into each dish and are always polite and attentive. Food is really good though pricey, but then again it's difficult to get cheap and nice vegan food. My non-vegan friends have remarked that they could eat vegan food if it tastes like this all the time haha! Also I remembered that in the past the menu used to have honey which to me wasn't vegan and I'm glad to see that it's no longer on the menu. I love their starters and would highly recommend the meatballs. Their meatballs have been recognised as one of the top vegan dishes in Singapore and rightly deserves it. They have nice desserts especially the tartlets (which I didn't see anymore not sure whether it's a limited time thing. I've posted the photo (ignore the pandan cake, it's not from here)). I would also recommend to make reservations before going as the place do not have many seats and can get really crowded.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to give us detailed explanations of the dishes and provided us with their recommendations. Every dish we've tried was bursting with flavors even though its vegan. One dish that really stood out to me was the mushroom balls. Its packed with savory umami flavors and the texture is on point. The cauliflower steaks were also perfectly seasoned and had a delightful char that added a smoky depth to the dish. The friendly and attentive service combined with the incredible food made for a truly memorable dining experience.

If you think that Vegetarian food is bland and consists of leaves and mock meat, you are in for a surprise here. The food here is packed with lots of natural flavours and natural ingredients–listing the ingredients on this takes me lots of time already–to bring out the meaty taste from the plants. A meal here makes both the body (healthy food) and tummy (yummy food) happy. The place is very hip, rustic, nostalgic with light Bohemian influences. And the food is very hearty and tends more towards the taste of Mexican food. Kimchi Avo Rolls is different from the sushi we know because it is made with almond sushi "rice". kimchi topped with avocado, sesame seeds and chilli flakes. This is like crunchy sushi with a multitude of very simulating flavours. I enjoy savouring this a lot. It's a hearty treat that teases the palates. But this is super filling, it's more like a mains than appetiser. Best to share this if you are also ordering something else on the mains menu. The Veggie Patty of Smoked Stack Burger is made from 11 natural ingredients! Such as broccoli, green beans, shitake mushrooms, beetroot, corn, celery, capsicum and more. Surprisingly, it tastes pretty meaty. It's a good burger. Just that the veggie patty not as firm as the usual meat patty, but the taste can match up to it. The sweet potato fries taste nice but it is not of the crispy texture that I would have preferred. So if you like crispy fries, you can let the staff know that you don't want this add-on. Chocolate Salted 'Caramel' Fudge is made from avocado mousse, salted tahini 'caramel', medjool date, walnut crust, agave syrup and cold-pressed organic coconut oil. Lots of ingredients, and it tastes interesting. The super sticky texture of the fudge and the hard crust is though not the texture I like in my dessert. I love Number 1 Junbucha. This is Kombucha with peach apple, sultanas, rose, marigold, strawberry leaves. Great for the guts and with minimal sugar. The best part is the sweetness is developed when drinking this with the food. I love the ambience of this quaint little restaurant. It's full of little touches that appeal to the side of me that craves for nature, peace and forward-thinking lifestyle. On a side note, this place is perfect for solo diners or those who want a go at it because there are so many of us dining here. Service is pretty good and friendly. The staffs also make the effort to confirm if the walk-in patrons have any allergy. Thoughts: Veggies can taste super good too!

The cafe is located within walking distance from Outram Park MRT. We made a reservation in advance to avoid unnecessary waiting queue. Kudos to the waiters which were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered a main and 3 sharing plates for 2 pax. At first, we were a little worried that we could not finish the food as the table was too small to place all the dishes. The smoked stack burger and cheesy cauliflower bites were great and we didn't expect vegan food could be served in such a unique way. I would highly recommend their must-try dish Teriyaki meatballs! However, the Kimchi Avo Roll was not to our liking. All in all, we had a great experience dining at a vegan cafe.

food is very innovative and impressive. i would say that it is a very good introduction into vegan food for non-vegans! the raw crispy lasagne was really good. refreshing vegetables, sweet tangy salad dressing. the best part is the cashew cream. the sauce drizzled on the lasagne was to die for. the cashew cream was tangy and full of umami, mimicking the taste of normal ranch and cheese sauces. the spiced fvsh burger was also amazing, the texture and seasoning lending so much flavour and mouthfeel that it really mimics a traditional fish fillet. seating was a little cramp for 2 seater tables but ambience was really chill and good for quiet, laid-back conversations. highly recommend.

We came here for a team lunch and I was initially a bit worried as they were not the vegan loving bunch as much as I am. Surprisingly though, they all enjoyed the food, especially me and we were all so stuffed that we couldn’t order dessert tho I really wanted to 🥲🥲 I really liked my almond milk latte too 😍

We ordered 4 mains, 1 starter and 1 dessert. Everything was nicely done, tasty vegan fresh foods. Service was great, because we were told which one to avoid due to some restrictions (like alcohol and some herbs). We felt we were being taken care of… truly appreciate the efforts. Almond milk taste in coffee lovely too. Price point for 4 pax was $176. To us it was alright because the portion is reasonably good. Will definitely recommend both vegan and non vegan to try.

I have nothing against the place and I’m sure they put a lot of thought into their food but never again…. The kale chips were super salty, the kimchi roll too dry, and the watercress soup super strong. It was doable in small bites but we struggled to finish the food as it got simply overwhelming as we ate.

Visiting Afterglow was a vibrant journey into the heart of plant-based cuisine. The experience started with their signature Afterglow Maki Rolls, a perfectly balanced spicy and tangy treat that set my taste buds alight, though they were a bit dry; however, upon request, the waiter kindly offered me some complementary almond spread as a dip. Next came the Cauliflower ‘Steak’. It was nothing short of a culinary marvel, turning a humble vegetable into a dish bursting with flavor and texture, both hearty and delightful. Finally came the Acai Bowl, a dessert that defied all my expectations. It wasn’t just a simple bowl of fruit and granola; it was an artful blend of fresh, juicy fruits, the crunch of granola, and the velvety smoothness of acai sorbet. Each spoonful was a celebration of taste, striking a rare balance between indulgence and health. This dish wasn’t just the end of a meal; it was the highlight, leaving a lasting impression of how incredibly satisfying and diverse vegan food can be. Afterglow isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a testament to the beauty and richness of vegan cuisine. It’s a place where every dish is crafted with care, not just for the flavors but for the story it tells about plant-based eating. For anyone who cherishes vegan food or is curious about it, Afterglow is a must-visit. I loved it and will definitely be back!

A nice quaint space for singles, couples, even small friend groups. The menu is very vegan friendly, with gf and sugar free options too. Prices are relatively high but affordable(aren’t all health places??). But definitely worth! My zucchini spaghetti was delicious, even if served cold. I look forward to trying their brilliant healthy desserts next time! Staff are very attentive and friendly ?

I like the alfresco seating, watching the morning crowd. Breakfast with their black coffee was a nice break from regular morning routine. It was crowded and there was not enough service staffs. Service staff were friendly and able to recommend us a good kombucha. Had to ask for cutlery and sugar a few times because it was so busy.

Loved this oddly-named vegan eatery! Atmosphere is comfortable, with a calm, cool vibe. Service is friendly and unobtrusive. Menu has detailed information on allergens, and dietary preferences are accommodated. Except for breads, all menu items are gluten-free. (A few contain honey, so be sure to ask if you’re a strict vegan.) I had a vegan burger in a gluten-free rice “bun”. It was full of tasty sauce and toppings, and came with a side of roasted sweet potatoes – a well-rounded vegan meal. Secure wifi, credit cards accepted.

takeout definitely let the food settle a bit too much, look forward to dining in in the future! spiralized cucumber pasta was great, I wasn't as big a fan of the burger, which was essentially a falafel with a bun

Convincingly good vegan food restaurant/cafe. Will recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike. I had the lasagne ($22) while my companion had the rice bowl ($16) -- we were both very happy with them. The price was fair for what it was, while I thought the portion was small for my lasagne (but I do have a bit appetite). Took the outdoor seat cause the interior is too dim for my liking.

Tasty vegetarian dishes with a modern and warm ambiance. However, they should stop naming their after meat dishes, because they do not taste like the "lagsana" or "Mac and cheese" we ordered. The friendly staff failed to inform us of unavailable menu items and changes in soup of the day. Not good value.

I did my bit or review research and has a traumatic experience deciding to visit. Being a meat lover, I was skeptic and would have easily gone to Shake Shack just across the road. Anyhow I decided to try it for myself and as the stars go it was amazing. The food was fresh and well-flavoured. Started with avocado kimchi rolls which were as good as rice sushi but better with Chili flakes n kimchi. Smoked stack burger with sweet potato and salad side was perfect creation. Despite being on pricier side, I enjoyed the experience and the creations. Worth the price!

The coffee was average when I tried it a few years ago. The beans were from Common Man Coffee Roasters. They are a vegetarian cafe and if I’m not mistaken they used soy milk, which dominated the coffee.

My friend is a vegan girl so no dairy, eggs, meat, honey for her. That makes it difficult to go out because the most common alternative for her in restaurants is SALAD... So we decided to search especially for a vegan restaurant and we found Afterglow! The atmosphere is relaxing, the interior modern steampunk style. The prices are a lil bit high (Burger 20SGD, Salad 16SGD) but I have also seen more expensive vegan places with less on the plates. My recommendation for you: Get the Pink Soy Latte and the Mac'n Cheese Cauliflower plate!!! My friend recommends you also the Smoked Stack Burger! And I can promise you all here is totally plant-based!

Afterglow by Anglow is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the Chinatown area. The dishes are more of western/middle eastern cuisine. For the starter, I ordered the hummus of the day. The hummus was served with raw carrot and one other fruit. The hummus was tasty and the raw vegetables paired well with the hummus. The raw vegetables gave the crunch to it. For my main course, I ordered the burger. The burger patty was made of nuts, and for the burger bun, you can opt for either bread or brown rice. The side dish for my burger was diced sweet potato. The patty was tasty, and was well complemented with the sauces (coleslaw, etc.) There are also the cold main dishes (i.e. cooked below 45 degree Celsius), but, unfortunately, I did not try one when I dine in.

As a non-vegan, wasn’t really sure what to expect but this place is superb. Food is very tasty whilst still being healthy. Definitely try the cauliflower Mac n Cheese, Teriyaki meatballs and burgers. Service was great as well. Vegan convert!?! ?✌️?

By review, we thought we would get decent vegan food. In reality, mediocre food and disappointing service. We had lentil nuggets and a burger, which were edible but not worth paying the full price. For additional condiment, they charge 1$ for tiny bit of ketchup as it’s “organic & handmade” by them.

The food is just delicious, fresh, no artificial flavors and again VERY DELICIOUS. Super nice service, good location. A must go when in Singapore.

Delicious vegan food - both of the burgers on the menu are very tasty and everything is fresh and prepared with care. The bruschetta are good but not really worth the price. And I would love more options will more plant-based protein inside (some dishes are basically pure carbs) to be added to the menu. Overall, great atmosphere, cute venue, good food. Nice for friends gathering or a date.

I ordered the sesame hummus (I was happy to eat on its own), the kimchi sushi & the smoked stack burger. All delicious and we were all full by the time we left! I would definitely recommend visiting even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very soothing and peaceful. It was a little dirty but still quite nice. Loved the way it looked. The waitress was very nice and I was enjoying myself. However, the food was expensive for the amount they gave. I know this restaurant has a $$ label but the food wasnt filling nor did it taste good. Lasagna is my favourite food but I was so disappointed that they replaced the lasagna noodles with cucumber. I like vegetables but those were raw and I still feel like it would have tasted better with less or maybe some extra ingredients which are not veggies. Most likely wont come back but if I had to I would. Dont reccomend as there are much better places than this. And if u do go I dont reccomend ordering lasagna if you dont like too many veggies. Also dont come if you dont like raw vegetables. Maybe atleast order something else.

We went for lunch, two people on Xmas, so review is as per that, Full veg, plant based foods. Don't keep a pre fixed tatse in mind or else you will be disappointed. It's rather a diff taste. Only let down I felt was very less or may be no option for hot food ( soup we didn't order which might have been hot ?) Bit over price for sure.. Overall a good and different experience, but had to eat some heavy food later to fill stomach ??

Quite disappointing. By the reviews I thought this place was expensive but had good food. First of all, it is way more expensive than I thought. You pay more than what you get. Ordered "Raw Lasagne", and I was so upset to find out that it's basically cucumbers layered with barely any cheese and some other vegetables. The sushi wasn't BAD but I've tasted better. The nuggets were pretty ok, but honestly the food isn't that nice here. Literally everything is just raw vegetables, and so overpriced. Won't be coming back. Giving 2 stars because staff were really nice and friendly.

The whole menu & cooking style is ametuer level. That sorta food I would cook at home. Their cauliflower mac & cheese was like bland and boiled. It was like boiled cauliflower with nachos cheese on top of it.

It's a treat to live in Singapore and find so many vegan options. I found Afterglow from Google search and it did not disappoint. It's a vegan restaurant and options are great. The teriyaki meat balls is the best thing ever. We also had the mac and cheese cauli bites, which is just okay, the rice bowl of the day, and lone bee Manuka honey mead-- a surprising treat. Will go back as the place is also situated in the quiet street near outram park station. The waitress Alexandra was also divine and super cheerful and helpful.

Came here with a couple of friends. Food was very delicious. Every dish is just a flavour explosion. You can't exactly tell what you are eating because of all the flavours that are going on. You just know that it tastes good. Recommend the taco trio and smoked stack burger. Excellent service. The service staff was highly attentive to detail and also helped to explain what exactly we were eating.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Singapore! Every dish is unique and delicious. I especially love the Avocado kimchi rolls, Hummus of the day and Cheese cakes😍 The portion is not big so it's good for sharing even for a small group. You might need to order more dishes to get full if you eat a lot like I do ;)

It is my first time having vegan, raw, keto food and I did appreciate my time here. If you’re looking for keto food, do ask the service staff to point it out to you. Do note that the zucchini spicy noodles is cold so your tummy will be all cold from it which some may not appreciate. Overall, the price point is definitely high but a good joint to try out

Unusual but delectable food, and I must call out the uncommonly good service as well. Great place for a special occasion or to take out a vegetarian or vegan friend. Not cheap but not unreasonably priced either. Reservation recommended - it's generally packed.

The layout of the food is nice. Unfortunately the taste is totally bland and over priced. The Spicy Asian Noodle is ridiculously cold noodle served hot (imagine) sauces which is plain tom yum sauce from supermarket. The Mac&Cheese is just too dull. But hey, who need tastes anymore these days when you can took nice photos and let others believe you are having a good meal....

What a lousy and arrogant staff and services. Had reserved dinner at 530pm and we reached the restaurant on time but were given a "old recycled small size grandma sewing machine" as table and just next to the entrance door. The restaurant were empty with less than 4 customers. C'mon we are customers also, is not that we get free foods from you.. when we asked to sit other table, we were told we MUST leave at 645pm. If your restaurant cannot occupied so many pax, THEN don't take in so many pax. Seriously I don't think that old sewing machine table should use it as serving table!!

Visited Afterglow with a friend who is vegetarian. Though not a vegetarian myself, I am always open to try new styles of food. I feel that the food here can be very enjoyable so long one keeps an open mind. We had the Kimchi Avo Rolls ($14), Cheesy Cauliflower Bites ($10) and a Smoked Stack Burger (picture) with brown rice bun and Salted 'Egg-less' sweet potato fries ($23). We enjoyed all the dishes - the choice of these 3 dishes might be too little for those with larger appetites. The restaurant was crowded by around 730pm, and it was rather noisy indoors if there are groups that talk loudly. So perhaps not the best place to have good conversation for a 1 - 1 date. Service was OK for me; the place was busy and the servers did not bother us (nor topped up our water) after delivering our food. Overall it was definitely enjoyable and I would probably return. If only I did not smell like my food after the visit... :)

Ambience: chic, but very congested. The table we got was a miniature. Food: I'm not a fan of cold food. I went here for my wife who's a vegetarian. The menu seemed interesting. But when we got the hummus, there was no pita bread! Instead we got carrot sticks and very cold sticks of some root or celery. The kimchi sushi roll was also cold. I love sushi, but I like mine warm, I'm sorry. The only saving grace was the burger. Small portion, but atleast it was tasty and warm. Drinks: unfortunately, we didn't try the beer or wine. We instead went for their specials - non-alcoholic booze and fusion drinks. Strictly at or below average. Dessert: didn't risk if after the food experience. Overall: would not recommend if you are an average person like me who loves to try new food. If you're eclectic and evolved in your pallete, then give it a try

Was just passing by and Google search for the nearest vegetarian restaurant led us to this place so we didn't have any reservation. The staff was nice and allowed us to sit inside while politely informing us the timing for that reserved table. Ordered the avo kimchi rolls and cauliflower mac and cheese. Both were unique and creative, not to mention tasty. The oat latte I ordered came with a little straw which reminded me of drinking my chocolate drink from my kindergarten days :)) Love the cozy ambience inside and customer service is very very good, we appreciate the nice girls inside. Will come here again to try other items.

Avoid at all costs!! If you're a party of 2 or 3, they won't prioritise your table. They will just wait for a bigger table to order the same main course as you before preparing it. An entire table of 10 and another table of 4 was served before us, despite arriving about 10-15 minutes after us. The waitress said it was because they ordered appetizers, which were "easier to plate". Any reasonable man would know that their appetizers were not significantly easier to plate than 2 burgers, which merely involved the patties, burger buns and 2 sides (1 of the sides were common to both burgers). Just take a look at their appetizer menu and you'll know what I mean. To add insult to injury, the fries that came with the Quinoa Burger arrived limp, soggy and cold as if it had been left out for some time. The food was not tasty and we left half our burgers unfinished. I've attached my receipt here. They didn't waive service charge even though the service was absolutely appalling (see attached receipt).

Have been a customer at afterglow over the years since their early days and their dishes have really gotten better over the years! As a professed seafood/meat lover, eating here has changed my idea of vegan food as bland and boring and ‘just a bunch of vegetables’. Ordered from them several times over circuit breaker and the portions are huge and always tasty. Also really like the raw zucchini ‘lasagna’ and the lentil nuggets.

Worst vegan food i have had. Place looks cozy but the waiting time is too long. I ordered the 3 bean burger that was dry and flavorless. Even the coffee was bad. Big let down. A friend ordered the zoodles which was a little better.

Made a reervation at 1pm. Arrived at 1.05pm. My son was on crutches, so told him to wait outside, while I check with the waitress on our reservation. Waitress attended to a customer behind me and came back to me after a minute and told us that the restaurant is full and there is no seat inside. She also told me that since I made the reservation 10mins ago, and the staff was busy, they did not have time to check the system or call back the customer. I asked her why was there a confirmation on the reservation if the restaurant is full? She told me, normally people will make reservation very early. I asked her if I can wait,.to which she said she doesnt know how long the wait is going to be and offered me a seat outside. I told her its a hot day, and I dont want to be seated outside. Lesson learnt, make a reservation early and call to check the reservation even if there is a confirmed reservation.

Mushrooms soup slightly pricy but have its quality when tasted is worth to eat. Kale chips strongly recommended as although not very crispy but you can feel the healthiness and hard work. As someone who lives with gluten dairy egg yeast allergy, I’m so glad to find one restaurant that offers gluten and dairy free food here. The waiting staffs were very friendly, patience in explaining ingredients for me and cross check what kind allergy do I have. Love it. I’ve tried baked lentil flaxseed nuggets (there’s no meat here it’s plant-based cafe if you haven’t realised it). Lovin the taste of it as it has a mild taste of spices, soft and little bit of crunchiness at the outside. They’re kind to replace the aioli with cashew cream for me. Keen to come back and try other menu next time. :) For coeliac people, let them know before you order so that they will sanitise the equipments and preparation area for your meal.

The place is tucked between many popular restaurants and bars ... and quite a happening place on weekends and weeknights. Only glitch was there is no signboard but just some small lettering on the glass walls. So one can really miss it. The food is good.... vegan / vegetarian without the customary "Mockmeat" or the completely impossible to at so called made of plant "meats". So that is a definite plus from me. We had their award winning avo kimchi sushi.... Nice. The zoodles in tom yum sauce was good and the cauliflower steak was decent. Portions are sumptuous.... thanks for that. The burger is tricky to eat as the patty is baked and so doesn't hold its shape well with the sauces inside... so slightly messy to eat.... Overall good evening out...

Called to reserve a table for 2 and a dog. Double checked with the staff ensure it is a pet friendly establishment. Was told yes but hold my line for what felt like an eternity to check for availability. Came back with the following respond, "We do have a table for 2 outside but there happens to be a big group besides this table. I don't know if they mind a dog there? " I pressed for an affirmative answer and was rejected for this reservation. When you state that you are a pet friendly establishment, your reply has clearly violated this policy. This is plain misrepresentation and I would argue to be a discriminatory act against all pets. If you are worried that your customers will be offended by having a dog anywhere near them, the for god sake, do not say that you are pet friendly. You are making a mockery out of the words.

AH. MAZ. ING! Food. The plates to share were outstanding. The tahini salad was good. Loved the lentil bites. The seaweed kimchi avo rolls weren’t to my wife’s liking, but I really enjoyed them. The cauliflower steak was delish. But best of all, the scalloped mushrooms were out of this world. We weren’t fans of the raspberry cheesecake at all, but the chocolate salted caramel fudge was pretty good. I hoped they would comp the dessert we didn’t like - especially since we ordered another, but they didn’t. That was a little disappointing given that we ordered all that and a bottle of wine. But the sharing plates and the main were so good that it’s still ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We really enjoyed the dishes. They were fresh, wholesome and tasty. It is a great place for plant-based food that is executed well. The portion size is slightly small if you’re one to expect larger servings especially for the price paid, but in saying that it is adequate and you will be satiated, and the quality is good. The lady who served us was very professional and attentive in ensuring that the food we ordered did not clash with any of our dietary restrictions/preferences. For example, I ordered a kombucha that is fermented with honey instead of sugar and she double checked to make sure I was okay with that. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a fresh and wholesome meal that is vegan.

Tom Yum Zoodles: 4.5 stars Mediterranean Tahini Salad: 3.75 stars Raw 'Cheese'cake: 2 stars Supposed to have medjool dates in it, but I couldn't detect any. The cashew cheese was really dense and coats your throat and tongue in a way that's a bit too heavy. Would not order this again but will try their acai bowl next time.

Really great vegan place ! Friendly service and loved the cheesey cauliflower starter. We had the smokey burger which was filling and juicy, wish the sweet potato fries were crisper. Good portion for the price. I really enjoyed the patty, marinade and the fries but did not enjoy the rice bun. It was too hard (it was almost like chewing uncooked rice). Not sure if it was meant to be that way but I wasn’t a fan of the coarse texture. I would get this burger again but will stick with the normal bun for sure. Besides the rice bun, 9/10 for the flavour and presentation!

Chic & cozy cafe located in the midst of Tanjong Pagar / Outram Park area. Had a good time at this vegan cafe on my birthday. We had a brunch here and tried quite a few items including their Zucchini doodles, Avocado sushi, Teriyaki veg balls and oats milk latte. Location : Cafe is conveniently located in bustling CBD vicinity and can be easily accessed via public transportation or cabs. Parking space is available near outram park mrt. Ambiance : It has a warm wooden feeling to the ambiance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Food : Vegan food which is freshly prepared and is quite tasty as well. Service : Staff was very courteous and were serving well to the needs of all customers. Overall : overall it was a good experience. Would definitely visit this cafe if i am in the vicinity.

We are not really fans of vegan food but we had better tasting ones than these. The outlook, ambience and environment is 5 stars. But the taste is lower than the quality of the food. We ordered quite a number of dishes and only the lasagne, 'scallops' and soup had taste. The nuggets were so dry, the sweet potato didn't tasted sweet, the burgers were overly spiced and the orange almond coffee was so sour... We don't even know how should we recommend or not recommend this place. All I can say is, don't visit on an empty stomach.

Just a bit disappointed with the finger bites food (chips) . Seemed that it’s not warmly prepared , more of it came from some tidbit packs. But still the food is quite unique. Warm mains are ok. The ambience is very good. Good place to catch up with family and friends.

Cosy place with delicious food! Service staff was very friendly, she offered recommendations and explained the off menu items too. Ordered the kimchi avo roll and the tomato risotto (seasonal menu) - both were extremely flavourful and rich, but have a fresh feel so we didn’t have to worry about being gelat. We also tried the Apple praline tart which was a pleasant surprise - the sweetness of the thinly-sliced apples really complimented the roasted hazelnut flavour. Will definitely be back for more! Also water is complementary and staff were consistently efficient at filling the glasses up :)

I quite enjoyed the unique meals from here. The meatball entree was truly exceptional, probably the best thing I've had from Singapore, a must have for sure. The patty from the spiced fvsh burger was an interesting experience, hard to tell apart from the brown rice patties I replaced the burger buns with! Healthier than your usual fare, and pricier. This place also has really clear allergen labels, even by Singapore standards!

Quite pricey. The menu is made entirely whole-food plant-based, including raw vegan dishes and keto-friendly options. Alliums are clearly indicated. The Kimchi Avocado Rolls and Spicy Asian Zoodles I had were good. Burgers weren't impressive, and the Raw Vegan Mango Cheesecake was extremely disappointing (I've eaten quite a few raw vegan cheesecakes). Would probably recommend getting Zerah Patisserie's (non-raw) vegan tarts instead, only available on Fridays and Saturdays!

Booked an early dinner at 5:30pm on a Saturday here, inside was pretty filled with diners then.. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the different types of kombuchas to us and provided little shot glasses so that we could share the 2 bottles we ordered to try among the 5 of us. The cauliflower dish was delicious! Couldn’t believe it’s vegan, the “cheese” was so creamy.. The spinach hummus dip was nice though I enjoyed it much more with the homemade tortilla chips than with the raw veg of carrots and jicama (turnip/bang kuang) Fun and tasty food experience overall :) we liked that this place doesn’t use Impossible Meat or Beyond Meat, but real vegetarian food.. Tip: Bought the appropriate amount of Chope vouchers after getting the final bill so received some discount from there.. also street parking can be tough to find, can try the HDB carpark at Pinnacle@Duxton and take a 5 minute walk across to Keong Saik

Excellent food in great location, quite cozy in there too, might have been biased by the stormy rainy weather outside. It is pricey, but not necessarily more than similar places in Singapore. I ate a shared platter, but on my own, don't recommend as you eat a lot of the same stuff, so i didn't end up liking it too much halfway through (I had more than enough of the cauliflower). The salad looks very simple but it tastes delicious, with a secret sauce included :P. Very sweet waiter, was allowed to stay until late, good wifi, had a call in there too :)

A cosy restaurant with very clear vegan/ vegetarian options and bespoke dishes that are not mainstream. For example, you get non alcoholic beer options here as well. The staff is relatively friendly and responsive. The food was good as well. The Taco Duo was quite good and had a very unique taste. The burger we ordered was also very good. I was a tad disappointed by their signature kimchi avo rolls. It tasted like it was pre-made, not freshly made after ordering, and the kimchi thus had an odour to it. Again, a unique taste nonetheless and different option for you to try from regular sushi rolls found everywhere.

Nice vegan restaurant which offers fusion cooking. I would recommend some of the mains and sides which are nice. 1) Teriyaki meat balls 2) Tom Yum zoodles 3) Cauliflower Steak Limited seatings and limited carparking facilities available. Do reserve a place in advance.

Our 1st time here. 1 of the owners did a detailed recommendation for me which we truly appreciate. Ambience is cosy. Food was served quite fast too! Tried the Teriyaki ‘Meat’ balls (Fav side!), hummus of the day and Spiced Fvsh Burger with sweet potato covered with salted egg sauce! (MUST TRY the sweet potato with salted egg sauce!) Awesome restaurant for vegans!
