Not generous with the ingredients and the bee hoon is very dry and tasteless. Not worth $6.50 for a simple noodle. The dry hor fun was good and a bit sweet. $5.50 The kidney was normal. The main flavor cubes from the vinegar. $5.50.

Shifted units within Fortune Centre. Good place to visit when you're looking for a late dinner, as they have longer opening hours. Allium-free and eggless vegetarian food influenced by Putien of China. Highly recommend their handmade 'crystal bun' dim sum (steamed tofu balls stuffed with vegetables and peanuts) and soup of the day. Very friendly staff!

Fortune center branch, shifted and nw somewhere in middle of level 1 Portion wise too little for the chicken chop $7.90, fries can be counted too...photos attached for menu and item cost. Their single steamboat soup for coconut and herbal not flavourful. Havent tried their zhichar and yong taufu (saw 1 pc item at $1). Seems like getting expensive these days

Mary ChristmasTo all my follow brothers and sisters, this is an awareness review to all of you, today i had a bad experience in Xing hua vegetarian restaurant located at fortune center, today around 12pm i and my wife went to this restaurant for buy lunch, we ordered mee rebus, Tom yam fried rice and two winter melon drinks, we highlights to the restaurant incharge that we want to take away, And for mee rebus we told them to separate mee and the gravy, first they charge us $18.10 and we already made a payment, after awhile, the incharge told us, she needs to collect another $1, when we question her about the payment earlier that we made, she told us this is for take away charges, please take note of this matter my follow brothers and sisters, according to the price list mee rebus $5.00, Tom yam fried rice $5.50 and winter melon hot $3.50 ×2 it's equal too = $17.50, but she collect from us $19.10, that's mean the take away charges is $1.60, is it reasonable? I leave to you all guy, and when we request for receipt she didn't give us, so please be aware when having lunch or dinner in this restaurant, my request to everyone, please check the bill before make an payment, because something they will charge higher then what we ordered, we can't blindly believe this kind of restaurant, this review i wrote is not because of $1, it's because of trust that this restaurant failed to gain from us, I'm very disappointed of their service, thank you..

We had fruit juice at their juice bar. My mango juice wasn't made with fresh mangoes (tastes like processed mango juice). My companion got the wrong juice (and it tasted diluted). We didn't make a fuss about it, but as we were leaving, one of the staff summoned us over to scold us for not telling him we got the wrong order (and leading to him messing up other orders). Terrible service and bad attitude.

Ordered 兴化面线, pretty disappointed with the price jump and portion given even though I ordered a medium size which was $10. Clarified the portion but lady boss insisted it’s correct. Probably better to go other places to make your money worth.

This store has an extensive menu from main, desserts and drinks. Ordered mala stir fry (med spicy) and soup. Both tasted really good, would definitely come here again. Food was served quickly. They seemed to be so busy, maybe it is better to order at the counter instead. The table beside us waited for more than 15mins just for their order to be taken.

Should try their dry Yong Tao Foo. Offers purple yam or green spinach noodles in addition to the usual. Choose the bean curd skin, tofu and king oyster mushroom to go with it. Super fragrant the way they cook them! Many veggie choices! Nai bai, youmai lettuce among others. Sweet sauce with chilli is tasty! Purple ham Noodles are springy! Comes with small bowl of soup with herbal taste. Great combi!

‘Chicken black bean’ ($8), consists of a small portion of rather sausage-like fake meat. Great taste, lovely sauce, worth while, but I would say ‘nothing to write home about’ if it weren’t so difficult to find good vegan/vegetarian food (that is not avocado on toast in some hipster joint) in the food halls around. I was informed by a friendly staff member of the next-door Herbivore restaurant that the ‘Fortune Centre’ which houses both places, does hold 16 vegetarian eateries in total (most not open in the evenings, regardless of Google opening hours).

I’m a regular here and I love the variety and the flavor. The food may not be the most healthy but definitely tasty. Love eating here! Also, I just realized Fave has 10% cash back at Xing Hua - pretty good deal if you eat here often!

Vegetarian choices. Like it's XingHua beehoon. Is very fine and tasty. It's snacks, don't know what is description. Toufu Ball,is round in shape and made of toufu, carrot cubes, vegetables and steamed raw peanut, making it crunchy and tasty eventhough is made of toufu. Fried Vegetable cake, there's Preserved Vegetable in it. Is tasty. Purple Sweet Potato dessert is sweet and weird add cornflakes on it. As for the White Fungus Gingko nuts is weird adding canned longan in it. But overall, really like it toufu ball.

I was there before lunch time at 1130 am to avoid the lunch crowd. Had the yong tau fo soup (with herbal base) and rice , and a cripsy mushroom cutlet. Herbal taste for the soup can be stronger. Portion was generous. Stall assistant was polite and warm as well. Loved the cripsy mushroom cutlet (can be taken from the fried snacks corner at the front that has the 水晶包 etc). Will visit again.

Food portion is a little on the lesser side but it’s delicious. We’ve tried the claypot noodle, claypot rice, and xing hua fried mee sua all were delicious! The soursoup smoothie is really good too! Ordered the Chinese pear boiled with sweet and bitter almonds for dessert but it was so-so.

Food is fine, but the staffs are not friendly and bad attitude. Rushing to take order by giving impatient look, and also switched off our hotpot without asking for our permission, causing us have to rush finish the food. Not recommended if you wish to have a pleasant experience.

Tasty and speedy vegan-friendly meals, some with mock meat. We enjoyed claypot noodles, olive fried rice, spring rolls and a garden salad. Juice was inexpensive and nice. They were good at advising us what foods were suitable for vegans once they knew one of our party was vegan. Really enjoyed it!

It’s not even worth a star, I went to eat on sun, 08 mar 2020. The food was not nice and hygiene level is bad. Instead of telling customers not to throw tissues into bowls/plates; The person cleaning the table puts used tissues on the table by customer into the bowls. 1 of the customer ordered “mild” level of spicy for her mala pot (麻辣香锅), it comes in a big bowl. After eating half way, she asked if can add spicy level and the boss said ok. She took the bowl of eaten mala bowl from the customer and let the cook add spiciness by stir frying again in the wok! I was stunned and told the waitress that this is very unhygienic (the boss was serving another table then). The waitress said no it’s ok as they would brush/wash the wok every time they used the wok. I really cannot accept this as we should be vigilant, esp in this period to avoid spreading of virus. I didn’t want to argue with her I just told her to pls let her boss know my feedback as it’s very unhygienic. I’m not sure if she did but I’ll not be visiting this stall ever again.

Being vegetarian, this is one of the best chinese vegetarian restaurant we fpund out in Singapore. The whole menu is vegetarian - uses soya for mocked meat labels. Olive Fried Rice and Mala/Fragrance hot pot are a must try here. The owner is always smiling and welcoming. This is a weekly goto for us for nearly 3 years now. Highly recommended

The food here was terrible. The Xinhua beehoon was undercooked and clumpy, the claypot noodles didn't have any flavour, and the vegetable rolls are not worth the $4.50. The service was so slow (each dish coming out one at a time) and they didn't even make the rolls until they saw that we were going to leave. The quality of the food is honestly subpar for the price I'm paying ($5.50 a bowl, same price as the other eateries at Fortune Centre) and the service us appalling. Will never come back.

Smaller outlet in Fortune Center of the same restaurant that used to be in a larger corner space. Same Chinese vegetarian menu including hot pot (choose your own ingredients) as well as many set dishes you can order. I usually get the Fragrance hot pot for 1 pax and it comes with a selection of seven vegetable and mock meat ingredients tossed in a dark sauce. They ask for a spiciness level when you place your order. I like spicy food but to give an objective measure - the medium spicy level is flavorful, doesn't quite make you sweat while eating, but it does leave your lips tingling for about 15 minutes after finishing. Spicy level is more of a nose running sweating while eating and burning lips for 30 minutes after. With either option I recommend a creamy drink, as a touch of milk is the best way to stop a spicy burn so adding an iced traditional milk tea or an iced Milo are good options. Fast service and good for lunch.

Here for the 5th time. Not crowded at all. Mala (3/5) - While it is decent, it is not spicy at all despite asking for the spiciest. Lor mee (2/5) - Blend. Tom yum fried rice (3/5) - Very flavourful but there's nothing no other ingredients less a few small pieces of mushroom

Lousiest place i have ever been. Damn lousy service. Asked to change table but the auntie who served disallowed us to change table. We proceed to change table still and she threw temper at us blaming us for getting her be blamed. What a terrible place. Will never come back ever again. This auntie shouldn’t even be working here. Being in service line and still having this type of attitude. Cannot do. I hope the restaurant can do something about it. Totally bad experience

Wanted to try a vegetarian Chinese so went in here. The host was very sweet. She understood our taste and explained us what would be best to order. But we ended up ordering too much. We ordered the lamb( mock meat) curry and hotpot( where you select a bunch of Ingreidients and they stir fry it with some sauce for you) and thin noodles. I personally did not prefer the mockmeat but liked the soup it came in.The Also liked the hotpot. The thin noodles did not hook me either. My husband loves the bitterguard juice with honey but Mango bubble tea was not that great for me. Overall it was okay for me.

Amazing vegetarian restaurants that serves all famous Singaporean dishes in a vegetarian version. Though you would still find fish, chicken, prawns and other non-vegetarian looking things in your meal but they are mocked, fake chicken, fake fish, all made of Soya or any other non-meat product. So enjoy all dishes without fear.

  • 3/5 Gwenstella M. 7 years ago on Google
Definitely not a restaurant that I will recommend. I ordered #102 stir-fried bee hoon which was served very quickly but came out clumpy and dry. During the time that I was there, the restaurant also mixed up 2 customers' orders. So much for a small crowd of 6 in the entire restaurant! The only saving grace is probably the speedy service and polite staff. Will I visit this restaurant again? Probably not.

My favourite place for vegetarian mala stir fry. They have a wide variety of vegetarian meats and vegetables to select from, and the mala sauce used is extremely tasty. For a non spicy option, I’d recommend the the tomyum hotpot - tastes slightly different from other tomyum soups but it’s fresh and delicious.

  • 2/5 Vinet G. 5 years ago on Google
The dishes was oily, might be becoz of the veg nature so oil is one way to cheat taste budd but seriously I will not go back again, sepecially when I feel it is a bit pricy. this place will b very packed on the 1st or 15th each of the Chinese calendar days, as a lot of ppl come to visit the kwanyin temple nearby. Rarely many ppl during dinner hours. Service was ok only, tables are not as clean as they appear, cutleries are not very clean too, at least, there were the sticky feel on the chop sticks.. Really need improvement on the food quality. if u have no choice but have to come, I suggest the Xing Hua bee hoon which i find to be the only acceptable dish here. Well be fair, i tried like 10 to 12 dishes here. So i might miss out some potential nicer dishes.

They should remove the steamboat items from their menu. The moment they put the steamboat stuff on the table, they tell us to pour everything into the pot of soup. Might as well just sell pots of soup. Mala hot pot lacks flavour. Just mixed vegs cooked in chilli oil.

Normally I wouldn't complain, but the service here is just bad. The server lady treating us was just straight up rude to me and my friend, and kept ignoring us when we wanted to place our order. Only when she was satisfied, she went to take the orders. My friend made a joke about the business being good, and in turn got a death stare by the waitress, so in turn she served me and my friends food last, after like 15-20 minutes. It was quite obvious as the group beside us got their order taken later but still got their food earlier than us. And mind you they ordered quite a lot of dishes. Food is bland, expensive, and doesn't taste good. Place has a lot of flies and pigeons everywhere which was quite annoying. The waitress would leave the bowls of finished food on the table and only clear them up when a customer wants to order food. I don't recommend this place at all, there are other stalls that sells better food for a better price and actually treat you with no hostility. Oh and the juice is terribly overpriced and doesn't taste fresh too.
