👍👍 Very nice food with local flavors brought out in many of the dishes. The waiters are also chatty and like to talk about the food and wine they serve. People often mention dishes, menu, Morsels, restaurant, Dempsey, nice, great, lunch, time, meal,

Wonderful homely location in Dempsey tucked away in a corner. The $65 set menu is great value, especially with the delicious pasta dishes. The lamb small plate was on the slightly chewier side but dishes like the maguro tartare and quail really did well. The dessert was unfortunately quite underwhelming. Staff are very friendly and pleasantly surprised my dad for his birthday! Will want to try more of their noodle dishes.

Like the quaint country farm setting with an open kitchen. Took the omakase set lunch. Very interesting dishes. Kitchen was flexible to modify menu based on patrons food restrictions. Portions were a little small. Would have been nice if they included tea/coffee as part of the set meal.

It's a bit hard to find tucked in the corner and Google maps pins are some times a bit "wonky" in dempsey. a little frustrating but thankfully dempsey is not so big, so you should eventually find it. if it helps, pass the como side, as it winds right, there is a left. The place looks like it was an old stables judging from the door. its rustic inside, we clear 'Sustainable' hints. The wine cork chopstick holders is a nice touch. The food is tasty and comfy. the place is small and cozy. I went over lunch and it was not too busy. I am not sure if the experience degrades if it's more crowded. I chose the vegetarian menu and i enjoyed. The Burrata and the Savoy Cabbage were my favorites. Service was decent and helpful.

Founded and run by Chef-Owner Petrina Loh since 2013, Morsels is a 40-seater restaurant located at Dempsey Hill that serves Asian fusion dishes created with the washoku mindset of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami. The wine and beverage list is also handpicked and created by Chef Petrina to pair with the courses at Morsels, with something for everyone ranging from alcoholic to non-alcoholic. The lunch and dinner feature a sharing communal tasting set menu with options to select from each category (Snacks, Smalls, Carbs, Mains and Dessert) after the table decides cohesively on which items. For a more comprehensive experience, highly recommended to go for their omakase menu which features selected menu items, classics and seasonal dishes. Price at: ▪️4-course - $48.00++ per pax ▪️6-course - $68.00++ per pax ▪️8-course Omakase (Lunch) - $98.00++ per pax ▪️9-course Omakase (Dinner) - $128.00++ per pax ▪️12-course Omakase (Dinner) - $158.00++ per pax

The setting is a rustic cottage. So it’s a nice, quaint and quiet place to catch up with friends. But that’s about it. We had the Noodle Lunch Set for S$38++ around mid September 2023. We paid more than S$50 per pax but what we got was a single oyster and an insipid bowl of Korean inspired beef noodles with dry and tough beef. Did they say it was 4 days slow roasted? Ermm…. The single oyster tasted OK. So, in short, it’s not value for money, either based on food quantity or taste. The Dempsey area is not short of atmospheric restaurants with better food and pricing.

Food was delicious! I know it’s called Morsels, but I just wish the portions could be bigger! We turned up 10mins earlier than opening time and could not enter. We were asked to wait outside under the blistering sun. There was no seating area or shade outside too. We just wish that we were allowed to sit inside and wait.

We recently dined at Morsels in Dempsey Hill, and it's now one of our favourite spots. The rustic restaurant cafe has a chill atmosphere and the food is amazing! The wonton mee and Wagyu beef were standout dishes. The Tiramisu was the perfect ending to our delicious meal. If you're looking for a cosy spot at Dempsey to chill and enjoy good food, give Morsels a try.

Beginning bites were okay but main dishes were made from low quality produce. Some dishes were inedible as a result. A big disappointment. However service was very friendly. Response edit: In the spirit of "responsible reviewing" I can clarify for the owners what exactly was wrong with the dishes, if they prefer. I had wanted to spare details and photos because service was friendly and I can tell at heart this restaurant could have been brilliant at one point. My partner and date the night we visited imports the highest quality Japanese produce to Singapore and is a trusted seafood vendor to some of the best fine dining establishments. So my comments on low quality products were not expressed on a whim. The shrimp we had fell apart and crumbled. Tarts for the uni were stale. Scallops were at best kept too long. Ikura were supermarket quality. And one meat (I struggle to remember which because it wasn't clear what protein it was) was chewy and literally inedible. I understand the difficulties with purchasing and planning especially during a time of sporadic client flow, but it showed in cutting corners with prepped items and fresh produce. I rarely write reviews and my intent for my original review was to highlight some issues of an establishment that felt like it was abandoned by its original chef. I hope (my assumed) former standards can be restored.

Morsels is one of my favourite spots for lunch! I am usually here with my dad for a quiet lunch date and their noodle lunch sets are always sooooo good. Despite being described by some as "reimagined classics" with a Morsels twist, the food is always tasty and comforting to me. Nothing too frilly or complicated, thank goodness. If you like noodles and asian flavours, I highly recommend you check this place out ❤️ it is such a classic!

This restaurant is tucked away in a secluded corner behind Long Beach. Interior deco is rustic and homey. Service staff was friendly and attentive. It was a good start. But when the staff explained the dining concept we were confused. We were to agree among ourselves which dishes we want coz all of us will be sharing the same dishes. Okayyy… We opted for the $85++ per pax and topped up another $20 each for the Wagyu chuck roll. Was a bit shocked when the dishes arrived. The portions were terribly small! The photos I showed here were to be shared by 3 adults. Now I understand fully why the place is named “Morsels”. Food was generally not bad but seriously nothing stood out. I could only use “creative” to describe the dishes. $105++ per pax for the bite-size amount if food is way too expensive. We left the place feeling rather unsatisfied and we headed over to Newton for satay and bbq chicken wings. Very unlikely I will return. Try once is enough.

Hands down the best restaurant in Singapore. The vibe is like a sweet, hole in the wall French cafe and the food is like a top Michelin star restaurant. Had our best meal of our entire trip here (and, honestly, one of the best in my life), and it is absolutely worth the cost.

Food is “instalgramable beautiful “ but I find that wagyu beef, beef tongue and even iberico pork are chewy. The recipe is unique but I believe they can do better with quality ingredients. Spent above $7++ for 4 pax, with only 2 gins and water.

Definitely not your usual fine dining or menu set up but the food here has a special twist to them - fusion. Don’t expect anything usual because you probably won’t find them here. Had the tasting menu; there were a few misses but when conveyed to the kitchen staff, they very kindly swopped out for a different course and these were much better in taste. Service recovery is swift and appreciated. Will definitely be back to support in the future, thank you!

Came here for the first time for a business dinner. Will come back again with the family. I like that it’s a quaint small place. Service is very personal. Food was excellent. Was graciously given a few bottles of free corkage on requests, but the wine list looks interesting. Would like to try next time.

Interesting menu and very flavourful food. Loved the noodle of the week so much we went 2 weeks in a row. Pulled pork pasta and lamb riblets also a highlight.

What a nice hidden gem in Dempsey. It’s quite easy to miss – just look out for a lil shack with barn doors, and you know you’re in the right place. Went here for dinner, and had such a great time. The staff were very friendly and courteous. That alone will make me want to come back. The food was wonderful too. Oysters and trout tartare were great starters. They had to substitute ingredients for our pidan dumplings, but it was flavourful just the same. Really loved the sauce on that one. Only thing that didn’t hit the spot 100% was the sakura chicken thigh mac and cheese, but we’ll chuck it to taste preferences and not to the quality of the dish. Would have preferred the mac to be a little more saucy, but the chicken was perfection. Noodle of the week was some assam laksa rice noodle, and it hit all the right spots for us. Loved how tender the baby squid was, and the best part about that dish was the homemade prawn ball. Lamb dish paired perfectly with the garlic mash too. All in all, a great experience and will be back again.

Food is tasty and well presented but not entirely special. The $45++ per pax sharing set lunch is barely enough to fill half the tummy of us two ladies. The main course we selected was trout that warranted an additional $8 per pax. The coffee we ordered was ghastly - worst ever tasted, so skip that! For $136 for two of us, I think we can get better food elsewhere in terms of both quality and quantity. PS: The photos of the food - each plate was shared by two people. I guess the restaurant is living up to its name, Morsels. 😂

It's really a hidden gem. Need to walk past another restaurant to find the location. The food is unique fusion with really nice presentation and palatable. Even the kids age 6 and 8 say Yummy. It's a great opportunity to taste many dishes on the menu. You won't waste your calories on carbs as the menu is designed as such. Very nice service from the staff! Thank you Morsel for leaving us such a wonderful and memorable dining experience.

came here for the omakase dinner. all the dishes and desserts were presented beautifully. i like all the food, except the main as the steak was a bit chewy. the service and the ambience were good. the current spacing of seats in this small restaurant was just nice due to safe distancing.

Interesting meal with a lot to experience! Really enjoyed the sharing meal which commenced with a very democratic process of voting on what to share. The oysters were a great starter and each dish packed a different surprise. Featuring the ones I would recommend here, especially the tiramisu end to the meal. The decor at the venue had been great as well. Recommended for visiting with friends or family.

Came to Morsels during a short trip in Singapore and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. We could tell that every dish was thoughtfully created and we were sooo impressed with the depth of flavour that was brought out with each course. I’m looking forward to visiting again the next time I’m in Singapore! I’ll be thinking about the oyster, the clams, and the miso tiramisu until then 🤤

Interesting concept tucked away behind Samy’s curry in Dempsey. The aesthetic is very rustic and reminds me of an refurbished fishing / sail boat. Comfortable cozy seating with appropriate safe distancing measures in place. The food is largely sea food based with a fusion concept instilling local tastes in their concepts. The menu has a few tiers but essentially everyone on the table pays the same price for a certain number of appetisers, mains and desserts. Loved the food, seafood was fresh, flavours were great. Dessert wasn’t the best in my opinion I would rate it at 4/5. Lovely place for a date or to bring a group of friends.

Back here for the 2nd time after a long while, but so happy to be so. Chef Petrina Loh and her team delivered with the vegetarian menu, we thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. It was spot on with the flavors, the balance, the acidity, the umami, the sweetness. Thank you for making vegetables the highlight of the meal. Morsels has been one of the longest standing restaurants and I’m glad to still be able to come back here again. Hope to do so again and hopefully in the nearer future. Check them out out, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to Jamie for taking care of us beautifully last night. Your wittiness, humor and knowledge was a delight. Thank you team Morsels.

Cute restaurant hidden in the greenery of Dempsey. Stop by for a degustation. Great service and food. They have an entire separate vegetarian menu which is delicious.

Tried the omakase beef and lamb menu and had a wonderful time. Lost count of the number of dishes in the end but wasn't left overly stuffed nor wanting for more. Interesting mish mash of eastern and western flavours and ingredients, each exquisitely plated. Mixture of tastes reflects the thorough thought process behind the creation of each dish. Probably something worth exploring for the occasional special occasion.

What you see in the pictures was what I had for dessert at Morsels in Dempsey Road. I’m not a foodie. I definitely don’t have a sweet tooth. Yet, The dessert started with the Tiramisu cake - what you see on the right. After about 15 minutes, the Tiramisu cake had disappeared completely, leaving behind only the dust of Milo powder. What does this tell you about the Tiramisu? It’s disappearance advertised for itself. The way it melted in my mouth, and then slipped down my esophagus to my stomach. Thank you, John, for this unexpected treat.
