The food is filled with tanginess and zing. The flavours compliment each other and taste splendid when combined. The ambience is calm and peaceful. It is also very near to important landmarks such as the monastery and chinatown. This restaurant is a pure vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. They don't even use onion and garlic. They substitute meat with soya and it taste splendorous. The price is reasonable and the service is quick and efficient. I recommend the soya satay, Buddha jumped over the wall and Hot and Sour soup. Their quantity is also quite generous. Overall, I recommend this restaurant. It is an amazing place to bond with your family.

Seems like a Cantonese style restaurant. Fits my dad’s tastebuds. Most of the dishes are tasty. I really love their Ee-fu noodles! Mum feedback their Olive Fried rice is average, couldn’t taste so much of the olive. Nicely decorated restaurant with aircon. Great for family gathering. Staff is attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back again! Will be very convenient once Maxwell MRT Station is open. FYI: Need to climb stairs

The best Chinese food I've ever had, and a bonus that the whole menu is vegetarian. We ate here twice, and had a feast both times. Amazing food, great staff, good portion sizes and all at a reasonable price. Sad to be leaving Singapore because I won't get to eat here again. (There are two listings for this restaurant on Google, so I've left the same review on both).

Should be the top 5 Chinese vegetarian to go to in Singapore. A veteran vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. All of their dishes are good, and not to mention about their service as well. However the price is slightly at the higher side but overall it worth every penny you going to spend. Do give it a try if you happen to drop by Chinatown!

The food here is light and has a natural sweetness, allowing you to enjoy the wholesomeness of the food without heavy seasoning. Strongly recommend the brinjal! One thing to add is that it may be easy to miss the entrance to this place. Note that there's just the traditional Chinese doors leading to the staircase up to the restaurant.

Vegetarian is a good place for vegetarians for an experience. The variety of food is very good, portion is decent and price is awesome. The sucklings pig is crispy and soft on the inside. The pineapple fried rice is fluffy and flavourful. There is 3 level in the building and plenty of food available. The toilet is clean. The staff is professional and good. The restaurant is also well decorative

Serving amazing vegetarian food with a smile. We were looking for Vegetarian options around Chinatown in Singapore and found this one by chance. The owner is a gem of a guy and the food is amazing. Can’t miss if you’re in Singapore.

Consistently good throughout the many years that I have visited this restaurant (Though portion has shrunk by quite a bit)! Serves mainly Chinese cuisine where traditional dishes are given a modern rendition in terms of taste and presentation. Eg. The Beijing roast "duck" meat (fried yam) is wrapped with green leafy vegetables, and the deep fried prawn meat roll is recreated with omnimeat. High quality and yummy vegetarian food!

Highly recommended place for mock meat/mock seafood. Must try: mock mutton curry, mock wasabi prawn fritters, mock pork.

Delicious vegan food! I was told that the whole menu is vegan, unless indicated otherwise (eg, it says where honey is used as an ingredient). All of the dishes that we ordered were incredible. Lovely cool aircon too. Highly recommend!

One of the best places we eat in Singapore. It is vegetarian and also have dishes using artificial vegetarian meat. They have been been featured in many awards and also people are kind. Food rates good. It is next to Buddha temple on the corner and in first floor.

This is a pure vegetarian Chinese restaurant close to Buddha temple in Chinatown. For Indians, this is 'Jain vegetarian' - no onion, no garlic. The food was very tasty. Ben (présume he is the owner) was very friendly. The warmth of the service added to the great experience. Though the menu doesn't look like a vegetarian one, these are all mock-meat..made from tofu. A nice place for vegetarians to get an authentic taste of Chinese food.

Good mock-meat Chinese dishes. They have it all, in totally vegetarian versions: pork ribs, duck, satay, as well as things that actually look like vegetables. :)

Awesome place for vegetarian Chinese food. The mock meat dishes make you forget that all the dishes are vegetarian. The sweet and sour "pork" balanced out the Tom Yum chicken. We also had some fried rolls made of Omni Meat. For dessert, we had a yam-based dish that wasn't too sweet (a good thing) but was too thick.

Flavour wise, the dishes were not bad. But texture wise, some dishes could be more like what the mock meat was supposed to be like. For example, the veg fish tasted more like chicken than fish.

Some hit and misses. The soup was great, tasted flavourful. Goes well with a bowl of rice. Will definitely order this soup again! The 2nd dish wasn't very good, imo the mock meat doesn't have alot of texture to it. Overall this dish was ok. I wouldnt order this again. I believe this was one of their signature dish and imo improvement could be made to better this dish. Rice was abit on the drier side? Imo I also ordered sambal sweet potato leaves. Very bland compared to the non vegetarian sweet potato leaves. I would give this a miss next time. The last pic was monkey head mushroom with cashew nuts was fantastic! This was the highlight of my meal. The fried monkey head mushroom really mimics actual meat, the gravy coated with the mushroom is savoury, and it really goes well with rice. I would still recommend eight treasures to anyone who wants to eat a hearty vegetarian meal 😄

A great survivor of the pandemic unlike it's contemporary Miao Yi at nearby People's Park Centre 😢. We are grateful that we still have a place for restaurant standard Chinese vegetarian cuisine. The Ee Fu noodles has a good balance of noodles and vegetables. Surprisingly, some dishes aren't that expensive, with the mock meat and tofu dishes going for $12 for the small version. You might find some neighborhood vegetarian stalls at coffeeshop to be slightly more expensive! 😱 My only complaint is that a bowl of plain rice is $1.20 🫨 Also note that the resto is on the 2nd floor and might be challenging for elderly or mobility impaired to climb. A nice place for a quiet, even slightly above budget meal. And the place to bring your friends and family for a good old vegetarian splurge. Either way, bon appetit!

A great selection of delicious vegan foods 😋. Everything is plant based, with the exception of entries clearly marked as containing dairy and / or honey, most of which can be made vegan per request. Massive menu of delightful dishes. Easy to find - right next to the Budda Tooth Relic Temple. Reservations are recommended

Allium-free Chinese vegetarian restaurant, very vegan-friendly with clear labels in the menu. Tasty food, not too oily, and nicely presented. Great for gatherings; would probably suit most people's tastebuds. They are currently serving some CNY specials, such as 'Honey' Lime Veg Chicken and Golden Sweet Veg Ham Roll (featuring sour plum sauce instead of real honey). P.S. Run by Zenna, who also runs WellSmoocht! Located next to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, 10 min walk from Chinatown MRT Exit A.

Found this restaurant through Google map/reviews & decided have our dinner here. For 6 of us (1 kid), this consider reasonable price and food taste not bad to try. It is within walking distance to/from Chinatown station. Parking wise also very convenient. 2nd visit during Chinese New Year 2024. Some how feel it is costly and food tastes so so when compared to first visit. I believe can find a better restaurant.

The restaurant is simply decorated with a very cozy ambience. The dishes were good and tasty. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I went during their peak hour and I can see that the staffs were very busy. It took quite a while for them to serve the dishes. Price of the food are affordable too. It’s a good place to have vegetarian food.

Nice ambience and service. But the hotplate sambal fish can benefit with a bit more spice. Would've liked it if the staff told us that the luohanchai and yam ring had the same type of veggie as well.. We ended up ordering 2 dishes with the exact same mix of vegetable.. :(

Located next to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and a bit hard to spot from outside, this is a really amazing vegetarian located at China Town! This place is a gem. All of their options are so delicious and are generously sized! I really love their vegetarian mutton curry, cereal prawns and Peking duck dishes. Vegetable based dishes are also good. Their black pepper udon is very good. The service here is great and I consider it the best Chinese vegetarian restaurant I have been to in Singapore. I keep coming back here again and again!!

A few decades ago there were two famous Chinese vegetarian restaurants, one was Loke Woh Yuen at Tanjong Pagar which later moved to Neil Road and the other at Kitchener Road, the Fut Sai Kai which was renamed to New Fut Sai Kai. As with most SMEs there was succession problem for these two restaurants and disappeared from the food scene. Modern Chinese vegetarian restaurants sprung up through the years and 8 Treasures (near to Buddha Tooth Temple) is one that belong to that genre that came to the scene. Yesterday evening I had a curry mutton and a wild yam with fresh mushrooms. Both were reasonably good. However if the restaurant had not allowed the potatoes to be overly cooked nearly to a pulp, then the curry could be much better. The wild yam dish would be better with a bit more soy sauce. Prices were reasonable and cost both of us about $36.

This isn't just the best vegetarian restaurant in Singapore -- it's THE BEST restaurant in Singapore, period! Three years ago I wandered over here for the first time after a job interview wearing ridiculous knee-high boots and a three-piece suit. Now that I live in Singapore and know how to dress more appropriately, I've been coming back ever since and having a blast every time. Definitely try the yam basket, the cereal prawn, the lime sweet and sour meat, the fragrant olive rice, and -- my newest discovery -- the mala chicken. You won't go wrong with any of these favorites!

Had our dinner here last night, table of 8. The set menu saved the hassle of flipping through the menu to decide what to eat. Dishes were good. They even went through the trouble of adding "bones" to the "chicken mid-wing". Only bad thing was they DON'T ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS AND NETS, which is pretty bad for a restaurant. Who expects to be carrying around a stack of cash to visit a restaurant??? Luckily they accepted PayNow. And being a Chinese restaurant, most of the staff are not very conversant in English, which was fine for me but had to act as a translator for my non-Chinese friends.

This is definitely one of the best vegan/ vegetarian restaurants in Singapore. It is located near Tajong Pagar in the nice part of Chinatown. The have limited small tables for two persons outside and a kind of traditional chinese restaurant upstairs. It is really busy inside. If you plan your visit with larger groups you should consider making a reservation. I simply love their tasty food. Large portions, reasonable prices.

Chinese vegetarian and vegan cuisine which is on the lighter side. Portions are not huge but are sufficient. Order a pot of their 8 treasures tea its great! And if you are dining alone, just get an order of noodles. It's rather sufficient

My 2nd visit and the food and service was excellent as usual. Staff are friendly and attentive. Also it’s an allium free restaurant which is an additional bonus! Would like to try other dishes in their menu on my next visit. Didn’t take pictures of their desserts we had, yam with sago and mango with sago which were a good size portion for sharing

Really delicious vegetarian Chinese food! Been a long time since we've had some tasty "meat" (mock meats). The singature honey pork is amazing!

Really good chinese vegetarian food, excellent service. Recommend the sweet and sour “pork” strongly! Must try if you are around the area, regardless if you are vegetarian or not!

First time visiting this vegetarian restaurant, their dishes are delicious and looks appetising. The boss was very friendly and will chat up with the diners. 5 star service. Likely will bring my friends here if they looking for Chinese cuisine vegetarian meal.

I had high hope for this place. In general the dishes have potential to taste well, but there are something missing (definitely not meat). I think it's the temperature, portion, and the time. I had: 1. Mutton curry - I would prefer if more ingredients (such as lady fingers and tofu), piping hot, a bit more sauce, and maybe boil slightly longer? 2. Sweet and sour pork - personally I think it would be nicer to use mushroom as pork substitute. The restaurant is pretty full, and I suggest to make reservations before you come. The accepted payment methods are cash, PayNow and Grabpay.

The staff are so friendly!! We missed the opening time unfortunately they had just closed for lunch (on Chinese New Year). I said I was sad because it is very difficult to find vegan/vegetarian food around there. They offered to make something for takeaway! That was so sweet. We had the food at the bar downstairs. It was very tasty. Thank you!
