Vegetarian food rating:5 stars Good and a cost effective place for vegetarians. Tha rava onion dosa was delicious and crispy. It had all the elements for a perfect meal. The mini tiffin had a soft puri and smooth idli as well as dosa. It was really delicious. The Pongal was tasty too. I really liked the quantity they served.

Good, cheap vege food. Have to try their poori and may I dare to say that it is one of the best I have tasted in Spore. The Masala thosai is not bad although could use lesser onions in e masala. I always like how they serve their tea/coffee in e silver tumbler. Vadai with the chutney is worth mentioning too. 3 of us had our stomachs filled and the bill only came up to $17 plus. Another thing I really must mention about this place is, people come eat quickly and leave. So people do not wait long or go hungry. One small thing is the washing hand area was narrow and the floor was slippery so old folks and kiddos have to be careful a bit. (Updated again on 21st Jan) Onion oothappam was good stuff! We ordered quite a bit this time and bill was just 20 bucks. Once again, value for $!

The place had great choices for south indian food. The food was tasty and it felt like it came out straight from a restaurant in Chennai or Bangalore. We ordered plain dosa, masala dosa, idli vada, tea and juice. Each and every food item satisfied us and brought back the Indian feeling. The owner was really friendly and helpful too. I actually left my spectacle across the road near the temple. I called the person and asked him if he could check whether my spectacle was still there or not and he found it and handed it over to me safely in the evening.

The best inexpensive South Indian food in Singapore or Little India to be precise. The taste and quantity of the food is extremely good. You get the authentic South Indian food taste.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around and soaking in the bustling Little India. Wasn’t expecting much but I was blown away by how delicious their Vadai was, goes perfectly with their teh Tarik. Staffs here are very friendly and welcoming. I know I will be back to try more of their dishes!!! 😋

Best place for vegetation food.... Cheap and quality veg food... It's located in Little India just opposite of Vera Kali Amman Temple... We came Singapore two days before, so feel likes to have South India food, so went here for dinner... We had Meals, kothu parotta and puthina dosa... Only dosa was not that much good... They added leaves like that only... Food tasty was good and also cost is very less... Other then that coffee, tea and some of the snacks items are also available...

Good food and good variety. Seating place is limited and it's crowded during weekend. Paper masala dosa is good and worth the price.

Price: $2.50 (Plain Thosai) Plain Thosai: 5/5 Thosai was crispy, savoury and had a very good sour flavour. Sambar: 4.5/5 Sambar was savoury, tasty and slightly sweet. You can taste the many spices used to prepare it. Chutney: 4.5/5 Orange chutney was oniony, spicy and slightly minty. White chutney was coconuty, creamy and slightly spicy. Total score: 14/15 Add-ons: Coffee ($1.50) was too sweet for me and did not have much coffee taste in it. Not sure if I could have asked for lesser sugar. But if there was such an option I think the coffee would taste much better. Service was fast and good. They also do refills for your sambar and chutney which was a first for me since I started this thosai journey as I read that some places do it for no charge but this was surely a first for me. Atmosphere was nice. A well ventilated and coffee shop kind of vibes.

Why give five star, clean n welcoming staff. Masala thosai was crispy at the edge n soft towards the center. I was recommended by another customer to try their *Puli Curry*. It is 😋 with the chutney. Bru coffee was perfect(I had mine with less sweet n abit stronger)Was served well. Definitly willb going back again * BTW, there was this young gentleman (staff with specticle)asking how was my coffee, thank u I really enjoyed the ☕ 🙂

There are not many South Indian restaurants in Singapore serving Ragi Dosa. Suriya is one of them. Three dollars for one crispy delicious Ragi Dosa that comes with Three accompaniment chutney is a steal. Only thing is they only serve them after 5.30pm.

Pure vegetarian South Indian restaurant with budget price. Good quality food and no compromise in taste as well. Place is small compared to other restaurants.

Hidden gem! Freshest chutneys and sambars always. Try their rava dosas, dosa roasts, tomato onion uttapam (my sister’s fav), all are amazing. If you lucky enough, there will be variety rice available, do ask them before ordering other dishes. I tried tamarind rice and curd rice, had to be the one of the best I have had in my life.

All goods here are value for money! Not extraordinary menu. But all common South India food with good taste and price.

It's a good hotel. Probably cheap in the area. Their coffee was the worst. One waiter was kind of rude - hardly pushing the chairs inside & yelling. Chutneys were right out of the fridge - freezingly cold. Sambar was good. We had to ask 2 or 3 times for the chutneys. We dined again for lunch and it was quite average. But for the price maybe we cannot complain. The waiters dont see the customers at all - like they are afraid if the customer asks for something again. The treatment for 1st timers or tourists is different and the treatment for locals is different.

Good food and service at a reasonable price. Had their Mini tiffin which came with 1 Vada, 1 idli, 1 Puri and 1 oothappam and a coffee. Right in front of the Veera Kaliamman temple and would recommend it

The restaurant is situated on the main Serangoon road and is directly opposite to Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. It is a pure vegetarian south Indian restaurant. For a person like me who puts taste as priority, I will give full 5 stars to the restaurant as its price to taste ratio is unmatchable. The only thing which others might not like is that this place is very crowded and does not have any eloquent interiors. But again it all falls short in front of the very high taste to price ratio of the different dishes. A set of idli + paper masala dosa + masala tea costed me only 9.40 SGD. Highly recommended.
