Good food. Expensive for the experience. Food was good though not outstanding. Price is way steep. I confess that it left a bad taste in the mouth to pay $12 for a bowl of plain rice or $8 for a Naan. We ordered the crab curry which was the highlight of the meal. Also ordered the Butter Chicken which was average. Service was also average. Poor if you consider that they want to be positioned as Indian Fine Dining. In sum, food was good but terrible value for money considering the price and overall experience.

Our first time to dine in Tandoori. Tried out their Deepavali Buffet. There were plenty of dishes, mostly northern Indian. Interesting to note that the chef preparing dosa was a Chinese. He has to struggle making the dosa.

We had this amazing selection today in the Diwali Delights Menu..for dinner Overall rating 8.5/10 One of the best Indian-centric dinners I have had for a long time.. Appetiser Lahsooni Murgh Tikka Morsels of tender chicken thighs marinated in yoghurt, garlic, and spices then grilled to perfection. Malmali Seekh Kebab Crafted from minced mutton, mixed with a harmonious blend of smoked cinnamon and other seasonings. These flavorful mixtures are then shaped into oval cylinders and are wrapped around a skewer known as a seekh. Tandoori Jhinga These big, juicy, fresh and firm jumbo prawns are spiced with Szechuan peppers then flame-kissed over the grill. Main Course Lachha Paratha A delectable Indian bread, crafted from whole wheat dough and expertly baked in a traditional tandoor oven. Garlic Naan Soft, fluffy Indian bread infused with aromatic garlic, baked in a tandoor oven to achieve a lightly charred exterior and a warm, pillowy interior. Murgh Makhani Succulent tandoori chicken tikkas immersed in a sumptuous, creamy smoked tomato sauce infused with the fragrant essence of fenugreek. Nalli Gosht Tender and succulent lamb shanks slow-cooked to perfection in its own jus, flavoured with spices such as cinnamon, clove and cardamom. Dum Murgh Briyani An exquisite dish that combines succulent pieces of tender chicken marinated in aromatic spices, layered with fragrant, long-grain basmati rice, and slow-cooked on Dum. Dessert Gajar Ka Halwa A traditional dessert made with grated carrots and milk. Saffron and Pistachio Kulfi Traditional Indian ice cream made with slowly simmered whole milk.

Not too crowded. Good place to have conversation over dinner. Dishes are fantastic especially the curry and naan. The flavours in the spices are so complex. Grateful for the professionalism in service staff who is able to provide sound advice. Will be back to try other dishes.

We were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and meticulously prepared each dish was. The flavours were amazing. We loved the dishes so much! Top 3 must-try dishes: 1️⃣ Kekada Masala Tender crab meat simmered in rich coconut milk, seasoned with aromatic curry leaves and elevated with the subtle crunch of mustard seeds. 2️⃣ Murgh Makhani Succulent tandoori chicken tikkas immersed in a sumptuous, creamy smoked tomato sauce infused with the fragrant essence of fenugreek. 3️⃣ Tandoori Jhinga Juicy, fresh and firm jumbo prawns spiced with Szechuan peppers then flame-kissed over the grill. Had a good time, lovely food and service. We ordered the set menu, which is indeed well crafted... but a bit heavy for one person. Food is great in taste & presentation which is what you expect at a fine dining restaurant.

We were at Tandoor recently after their revamp and had a wonderful lunch experience. The food was priced reasonably, and the half portions were more than generous for 2 of us. One suggestion would be to char the tandoori prawns slightly more as we felt that could have been improved. Loved the mushroom peas masala! However, to give credit where it is due, the manager on duty did come around to check on the food and ask if anything could be improved while we were there. The service was friendly, and polite without being too intrusive. It was a quiet lunch time with around 4 to 5 tables filled and the 2 staff on duty were attentive. We appreciated the complimentary dessert platter which was offered when we placed our dessert orders - a nice touch to end the meal. One AFI would be the choice of music which would be appropriate and enhance the ambience as well. Perhaps pop music may not be the right choice but instrumental Indian music might have been better. We had a great lunch and will be back. Thank you!

Had the best Northern Indian cuisine at Tandoor restaurant and I couldn't stop recommending it to my friends and family. Ordered Mix Non-veg Sampler, bread basket, masala chicken and mango curry. Our favorite is the mango curry! 🥭 Prawn tikka is definitely perfect. The staffs are friendly. Attentive and professional despite there are just 2 of them. Tandoor is really a heaven for Indian food lovers!

We had a horrible experience going for a team lunch here today. We ordered for 2 veg Thalis of option 2 and one veg thali option one. The serving person didn’t bother to listen to our order and we felt he was rude. When the plates/spoons were kept it was noisy and not polite. The green chutney was bad. For the veg Thali they started serving option 1 food when we selected option 2 dishes. There was no roti in the thali and a very meager amount of rice was given in a bowl for three of us. When we asked for a little more rice the manager told it will be charged. The mango lassi was sour. I wasted $105 today on bad service, bad food and bad attitude and came back with a bad experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

The one star is just for the good service, else I wouldn’t have rated the restaurant with any star. The food has no taste, the curry is not made with spices (masala) but with readily available sauces. The portions for two people are served in one mini bowl so that your order more. The prices are sky rocketing. They have doubled the prices as compared to other star hotels in Singapore. The reason they have done this is because they have listed themselves on discount based apps like eatigo and they offer 50% discount which basically looks like a steal deal but in reality it is stealing the other way round. There are some fantastic places to eat good Indian food In Singapore and I highly recommend against this place. Please save your money and hunger for good taste by avoiding visiting this place.

I like to go to a nice place to eat every Saturday night. I've been to almost 40 restaurants in the past year. This was the worst of the lot. One server, a young guy, just couldn't do anything. We asked for water. He forgot it. We asked for chutney. He forgot it. This, with three tables of diners and two servers. The food was indifferent. Not bad, not good, just mediocre. It's hard to make a bland Indian chutney, but Tandoor managed it three times over. That's a culinary achievement of sorts, I guess. They must think so -- they charge $12 for plain white rice. I did like the jaljeeratini, though. It was an exciting, vodka- and spice-infused concoction.

Ordered some food through grab two weeks ago and it was a huge disappointment. Paid $60 for two dishes but the food was very sub par and did not deserve to be priced that high. The quality of okra used in the okra dish was horrible and very fibrous. On the whole, a very disappointing experience which will deter me from dining in there.

Love eating here. Definitely worth getting at least a dish with paneer because the paneer here is amazing. I also really enjoy the crab masala! The service here is good - very professional and helpful. It's slightly on the pricey side for Indian food.. usually spend about $50 a person without drinks, but it's really worth every drop of curry. Come on a special occasion to celebrate with friends and family!

Terrible service - anti customer restaurant....I made a reservation and 8 days before I was due to go they cancelled it without even talking to me or saying why! I just got an email which may as well have said that we don't want your kind in our restaurant, maybe they don't like mohawks or don't like certain kinds of customers.... Apparently it was because I hadn't picked up a call from an unknown number (which no one does in Singapore) which turned out to be them! But why would you cancel a reservation 8 days out because someone doesn't answer a call when they have already confirmed it? Bizarre service. Clearly they don't want customers.

Best Indian Restaurant at Orchard Singapore Since 1985 Tandoor an award-winning Indian restaurant in Singapore has offered a carefully handcrafted dish using classic recipes and time-honoured methods which date back in time across India’s rich history. The beautiful interior design has a story behind it, Full-length windows give diners an intimate view of the kitchen where two custom-made copper tandoors (or clay ovens) stand. From the dining hall, you will be able to see our chefs at work, from making Indian breads to preparing kebabs of tandoori meats and vegetables that are served fresh to your table, presents an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy good food and great conversations with family, friends and clients alike.

Amazing Indian Fine Dining place. Love the ambience service and food. Must try the Dum Aloo Bhojpuri, onion kulcha was out of the world. Very nice desserts - kulfi, gulab jamun and Rasmalai :) The manager Nitin was very kind and hospitable. Would definitely recommend and come back to Tandoor for celebrating special occasions.

This place charges exuberant amount for the dishes, however the food is below average. We ordered chef’s special raw mango dish to find out it is a misprint on the menu and its actually a ripe mango super sweet dish. This shouldn’t be served at all it is that bad. The most iconic dish ‘daal makhani’ has no flavours. Biryani seemed like veggie sticky rice. The only good thing that they serve are the breads, super fluffy and exactly how Indian breads are cooked in a “Tandoor”. I won’t recommend this place for a fine dining experience, not worth your 30$ per dish.

Returning to Tandoor after a few years and was welcomed by a delicious buffet spread for Mother's Day lunch. Desserts like panna cotta, pineapple halwa, laddoo and burfi were outstanding. Can't wait to return for another special occasion!

Very slow Service - Total Time took for a 3 course meal was 3.5 hours. Food is below average - Their prices are of a Big Star Restaurant. They missed out on some of the orders. Few Roti's we ordered had a Silver shiny stuffed in it, they justified it as new tandoori grill.

Tandoor was an absolute delight. The food tasted great and the service was very inviting and nice. They were quite obviously short staffed, and the wait time was lengthy but they were very kind about it and handled it well. I ordered the murgha makhni and my family members ordered the rogan josh and goan fish curry, the murgha makhni was very good and was like butter chicken, Rogan josh was good as well but the goan fish curry was towards the worse side. We also ordered butter naan which was light crispy and delicious along with the steamed rice which was also good. The food tasted great and though it had an hefty price, it delivered quite well but it was a small portion. Our server was new and I didn’t get to catch his name but he was very good in the he handled it and he definitely worked great. The service altogether was really good, they were short staffed but it was still great service, highly recommend, come here for a great Indian experience!
