Not
sure
where
to
start
lol.
Made
last
minute
decision
to
have
dinner
there
on
Nov
8th
a
little
after
6pm.
Especially
after
reading
the
hilarious
bylines
for
each
dish
on
their
online
menu.
We
didn't
realize
it
was
the
day
for
chili
challenge
(full
moon).
I'm
a
chili
head
and
could
choose
up
to
level
6
(out
of
9),
so
that
if
you
make
it,
you
can
be
invited
next
time
to
try
level
7
-
need
to
per-qualify
or
work
through
level
1
through
6
based
on
your
tolerance.
We
sat
barefoot
upstairs
for
regular
food.
We
had
Gobi
65
for
appetizer
(crispy
thin
batter,
moist
cauliflower),
good
fish
curry,
outstanding
eggplant
(kathri
pachadi),
Upara
rice
(reallly
really
flavorful),
and
some
naan.
All
dishes
were
flavored/spiced
just
right
where
the
main
ingredients
shone
through.
You
can
tell
the
base
masala
was
freshly
made,
and
the
dishes
were
pulled
together
when
ordered.
My
level
6
curry
challenge
dish
was
served
at
the
same
time.
It
was
hot
no
doubt,
but
finished
it
pretty
quickly.
Since
only
two
of
the
floor
seatings
were
full
upstairs
(out
of
7
or
8),
we
only
saw
the
waiter
twice
over
1h+
-
we
wanted
more
drinks
lol.
This
was
probably
bc
downstairs
had
the
chilli
challenge
start
7:30
or
so
where
people
were
attempting
anywhere
from
Level
4
to
Level
9.
We
went
downstairs
on
our
own
eventually
to
pay
bill
-
it
was
a
festive
atmosphere
with
3-5
patrons
in
the
challenge.
More
importantly
Chef
Kaesavan
was
the
master
of
torture
regaling
everyone
with
his
great
sense
of
humor
and
irreverence
(in
a
nice
way).
We
ended
up
staying
downstairs
encouraging
others,
drinking
outstanding
G&T,
and
Lion
Stout
and
were
made
to
feel
very
welcome
by
the
Chef,
and
his
staff.
I
even
got
to
down
a
shot
of
level
7
curry
-
that
was
spicy
for
sure
lol
-
looking
forward
to
the
challenge
next
time.
And
shared
a
whisky
(or
two)
with
the
Chef
and
long
convo
into
the
night
with
him
and
Kristabel
:-).
We
left
after
11pm
or
so
-
after
eating
a
few
extra
bites
with
chef
and
staff
at
closing.
Just
a
very
cool
place
with
a
huge
personality
in
it's
food,
ambience,
kinmanship
-
humanity
at
it's
best.
Oh,
it's
a
2022
Michelin
bib
gourmand
pick.
