Perfect way to celebrate birthday with family. S$60 for 4 persons with 5 dishes. I love the Penang Assam Laksa. Fast service. Parking available at back of restaurant. I am a vegan and I love this place.

Today was served by this obnoxious waitress at dinner. She was rude and uninterested when trying to sit us down for dinner. She asked my friend to move her leg when she wanted to take the order. Which was unnecessary. She could have gone around it or choose not to take the order. When a customer was trying to reach the table beside, she looked away and rolled her eyes at them. Which we saw. She was obviously not interested or she might need to be retrained. Ive been here many times, and service has always been forthcoming. This waitress is such a shortcoming to a wonderful place.

Had lunch here and enjoyed the cereal mushrooms and "Fish head" curry. The mushrooms were good, could be a little crispier but still tasty. Good amount of chili and curry leaf. Would order again. The fish head curry was also pretty good, there are veggies inside like lady fingers, eggplant, tomato, capsicum. The curry taste is on point, though we thought it could be a bit thicker. Would be nice if the curry came with some crispy Tau Kee! Just to offer a texture contrast. We always get extra Tau Kee when we order fish head curry, haha. Overall prices a little higher than average zi char but I think I would come back again if I was in the area.

Hor Fun was really soft and had the char from frying. The portion was little, whereas Yee Mee was filled to the brim. Vegetarian satay uses mock meat which taste alright, on the sweet side. Only letdown was the French beans; the Vege was “old” and very veiny. Some felt raw. Cereal tofu was tasty. Generally flavours weren’t overally salted. Prices for the dishes are more pricey compared to the mains.

Unpleasant experience.Cosy Corner is not that cosy, after all. The Indian lady at the cashier behaved extremely unprofessional and nasty, it was not even 30 seconds into taking our order, she rushed us and was very rude when she replied to us each time we inquired about the items in the menu, her tone was unacceptable like 'I told you already', 'no we don't have that thing here'. Instead, she could have suggested something similar or other dishes. She also got our order wrong. Not sure why she had to rush as if she had other customers in line in fact, there was no one.We are paying customers and when we had any questions regarding the menu she was like 'you are not the only one paying, there are others' such an attitude. After we had received our food, we realised that there was an extra dish. My family and I approached her and asked why there was an additional dish... she deliberately said, 'What can I do ...its like that... everyone are paying money...so what'. This is so ignorant of her, as a waitress, she should know how to talk to customers and serve them with their needs. SO MUCH ATTITUDE, then why come to a customer centric role? This lady doesn't deserve this role. But there was a chinese man at the counter when we went to make payment, he understood the issue and did not charge us for the extra item which was placed in a rush but that Indian lady. Based on previous reviews, it seems like she has an issue with Indians, so be it. I'm not sure if we will go back to this restaurant after this unpleasant experience.

One of our old family favourites! This place is such value for money. We ordered nine dishes and drinks and the bill was less than SG$150. Recommended dishes are the claypot meicai with eggplant, the fragrant yam ring, the cereal prawn, and the sambal kangkong. Suggest to book if you are coming on Buddhist holidays or the weekend as space can be limited.

I’m surprised by the generous portion of the dishes! Celebrating my mom birthday here and everyone had a pleasant evening. We ordered set meal and additional dishes. Love the spacious seating area and clean environment. Reasonable price and flavorful dishes. The only complain is the mushroom in the broccoli dish, the mushroom tasted bland I think is lack of marinating. Parking is a bit challenging due to the landed housing area. Other than that everything was well cooked and presented! Must try dish: curry, cereal mushroom, soup

Recommend even for non vegetarian. Typical zichar style cooking with reasonable wok hei. Curry "fish" is a strong recommendation, the masala mix is perfect to give you a strong hint without the chilli been too overwhelming. Good balances in the flavour and cooking skills.

Went there yesterday.. Food is very nice and affordable... But the Indian lady serving us is very rude... When we reached there at 6.45pm, once we sit down.. She told us rudely "u have to leave by 7.30pm as there is people reserve this table." and we didn't know about it as we just say table for 2. After that she was standing beside us looking at us... And impatiently bend down take a notepad and a pencil forcing us to gave her our order when we haven't even flip finish d menu. What a unpleasant day she have given us..

The Thai menu sets Greenland Vegetarian apart from other Zi Zai Zhai restaurants. Their soups are generously portioned and strong in flavour - in particular their Thai tom yam and Sichuan hot and sour soups. I really liked the green curry, pad thai, and claypot tang hoon too. Desserts, on the other hand, are generally under-portioned for the price. Ambience and food presentation are much better than at other Zi Zai Zhai restaurants. Service staff are very friendly. The menu is also completely eggless and dairy items are labelled on the Thai menu as well, making it more convenient for vegans.

I called to make reservation for 2 tables. I asked to request whether they are able to cut cake and distribute to our two tables on that day after lunch. I'm doing so as to avoid interactions within tables during Covid period. The lady rejected and claimed no such service. I find it alright. I requested to know her identity and asked for her name before hanging up phone. She simply refused to reveal saying restaurant will have staff to serve us upon entering the restaurant. Oh goodness, I just want to make sure that I had reserved the tables with who and who so as not to cause any misunderstanding if I call back again to double confirm before the day arrive..... SERVICE is a thumbs down 👎 👎

Had dinner on 11 Aug at Greenland for a friend's birthday. The food was great but we were utterly disappointed with the service! Deposited a birthday cake in the restaurant fridge and the male staff who unhappily took the cake swing it so hard that our cake went out of shape. (I did call to inform that I will be bringing in cake and they said okay.) Then when serving the shark's fin soup, his thumb went into the soup because of the unprofessional way he held the bowl of soup. Really unhygienic especially during this Covid period. We had requested earlier on for birthday cake to be served once our plates are cleared. But the male staff just brought the cake still in box and plastic bag, placed on our table and walked away. Totally ruined our birthday surprise. Is this the first time Greenland has customers celebrating birthday here? That they don't know how to help light the candle and serve the cake properly like how other restaurants will?

Good Chinese food at really reasonable prices, in fact some dishes such as noodles dishes/Hor-Fun is in larger than usual proportion and at food court/eatery shop price 👍😊. Good enough ambience. The restaurant is unusally large (hard to find these days) to accommodate large gatherings or celebrations. This is a must-go place for my parents' birthday celebrations. One thing to improve is, have more staff so that the during-dining service can be more prompt and frequent.

I believe lots of people unaware inclusive me that this restaurant don't charge GST and service charge. I just paid $30.30 inclusive a bowl of Penang assam laksa(because big portion so enough for me and my hubby), steam white tofu with slightly spicy sauce and with generous amount of petai, eggplant with preserve vegetables in claypot, plus a dessert - red ruby with rock melon slices. We really felt very comfortable and satisfaction of the dishes that are perfectly cooked and most importantly the price are reasonable and portion are big especially the noodles menu. Will definitely be back again to give them support by trying other dishes..👍👏 Additional info: go for weekdays as not much people and not the 1st and 15th day of lunar month.

Our first time to this vegetarian restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise. My favourite dishes this time were the Penang Assam Laksa and Sambal Petai Fried Rice. The laksa actually tasted better than many non-veg version around Singapore. The fried rice is slightly spicy with generous amount of petai. Best of all, u can taste the wok-hei. The servings r generous in size. Price is acceptable. Can't wait to go back try other dishes.

Fish soup tasted rather plain, had to add in soy sauce to make it tastier. Came with a ton of veggies. Fish was made from beancurd.
