The Curry Culture - Cuppage Terrace

Restaurant Indian restaurant

👍 North Indian cuisine with plenty of options. We went for lunch on a not so hot afternoon, so the outdoor seating was quite pleasant. We first tried chef's recommendation Malai Broccoli, which was pretty good. Rest of the food was okay. Kofte were bit hard for my taste and lassi too sweet People often mention good, Indian, great, service, chicken, staff, butter, friendly, time, restaurant,

This place tends to get lost amidst the array of restaurants in Cuppage Terrace and is a pleasant surprise serving good North Indian Cuisine! The food was surprisingly good, great ambiance soaking in the vibrant cuppage energy and great service from the friendly staff ! The chaats and kebabs are nice ! The masala tea is also great! Will return to try the other stuff !

Food:⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food taste good but the portion very small. Especially the Garlic Naan, Okra, Butter Chicken, Vegetarian Samosa etc, very yummy. Price:⭐ For that small portion, personally think that it's pricey. Unlikely will go back again. Service:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service is excellent and the staff members are friendly and attentive, always check with us whether everything is OK. Environment:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good place for gathering and it's cozy.

Don’t be fooled by the serving bowl size, the portions are actually really really substantial. Best butter chicken i’ve tried in Singapore. Definitely will be back to try more stuff, esp that chicken kebab that was served to the next table (the aroma was just sooooo amazing). Love this place! Highly recommend.

I ordered food from this Restaurant via foodpanda.Unfortunately there is no negative ratinh option, hence rated one.I ordered kebabs, biryani, romali roti, naan and butter chicken. The roti and naan were edible, but the butter chicken and biryani was disgusting. It is not even butter chicken, in kadai chicken they just added butter and send the order. The food was horrible.Butter chicken and biryani really disaster, they did fraud. The kebabs cost 16 dollars and pls see the quantity. It was horrible.Foodpanda should verify before providing platform for such restraunts.I dont understand in which world butter chicken is so dark in colour.Huh,Ridiculous.

I had visited the place with some of my friends who had never tried Indian food. Had made a special request to the manager about the food and hospitality. I am giving a 5 star especially for the service they offered that day. The food was also top notch. We had a great time. Thanks to the team for making our evening special.

Not interested in trekking to little India then treat your taste buds to a night at the Curry Culture. Great vibe with a great outdoor seating area with great service. Meals may be a little more than other places but the quality of the food is well worth it!

Very interesting setting. Good north Indian Punjabi style food. Overall 20+ of us liked it. Starters tandoori platter etc were great. Biriyani is not like the biriyani we expect in the south. But food was good.

This has been for years our favorite Indian food Restaurant, the service is excellent and very friendly and the food is amazing! Chicken butter masala is always a must but again every time and over the years the quality has maintained. Price is a little high if compare to some others but it is worth it. We used to live in Singapore and visited often and when we go for visiting at least one meal there is tradition.

Portions here may look small but are actually very substantial. They are quite generous with the meat in the curry and they were absolutely flavorful. Restaurant almost had nobody at lunch time but place was cool enough with fans. We used entertainer one for one. They provide poppadom with 3 sides of sauces - can’t remember what they are called but all are good!

Lovely place. The food is delicious. The staff folk are very friendly and great to chat with. Prices are on the expensive end, but so worth it. Plus, it's a nice environment. This is going to be one of my go-to places for good, reliable Indian food.

We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times ( once in house and twice as takeout). So so yummy. Our favourite dish is the lamb Korma, rice and garlic naan. And the chicken samosas are also really good. The owner is a really nice person. Feel like he really cares about the quality of the food that comes out of his establishment. Would totally recommend this restaurant.

Good place to hangout. Good Indian food. Prices are little high otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Must try Mushroom Amritsari, Onion Bhaji. My friend tried Chicken Tikka and it’s the best in town. Little bit sad about the price but its okay when you drink more alcohol you don’t really care about Money. Enjoy!!!

The food here is absolutely delicious. We had ordered Paneer Butter Masala Delhi Style and Malai Kofta with butter naan and tandoor roti. They offer paneer butter masala in Mumbai style as well but we ordered Delhi Style as per their recommendation. And we are glad we chose that option! The Delhi Style has a perfect balance of spice and sweetness with generous amount of paneer. Malai Kofta was quite creamy and flavors were great. Portion is reasonable. Price is a bit on higher side but from my personal opinion, it is absolutely worth it.

It is a north Indian retaurant. Food was good to taste both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Price bit expansive side. Staff and service was good. The best part was they were taking care of their staff rest timing very well.

Food is nice. But way too expensive. Butter chicken costs 30 dollars. If you are going to have indian food and affordable, try go to other place. This place is good for beers and vibes. Expensive that can't be explained

A bit pricey but it’s the first time that I like Indian food. Normally I would avoid it because I hate curry flavor. This changed my mind. Definitely recommended for anyone who is afraid of Indian food.

A very good place to have vegetarian food and location. April lady is popular among kids. My family totally loved it specially my 10 year old who is a big foodie.

Good food but poor service. We asked for water while placing the order, food was served but not water even after reminding the waiter about it. We finished our food and asked for bill and again reminded about water. Bill came first but not water! While trying to get the waiter's attention, I did notice that they are quite responsive to those who ordered beer!

I think one of the best cultures I have witnessed so far? I was with my wife and we wanted to try some new Indian restaurant and we found this place. Here is my take on this beautiful restaurant. We ordered Kale Chane ki Tikki (basically black chickpea patty). The tikkis came with a garlic sauce that was so unique in taste - the hotness, spiciness and tanginess all in proper proportions. The combination was mind blowing. 👍👍👍👍👍 Then my wife ordered April Lady in drinks - it was a blend of coconut, mango and and mint. The drink was so flavourful, blending all three in right proportions. It was not at all overdone. Thumbs up to the drink 👍👍👍👍 For main course we ordered Paneer Makhani (Shahi Paneer) prepared in Delhi style. While placing order for this dish, the waiter would ask the style of preparation - Delhi/Mumbai. We asked for Delhi style - masaledar and spicy. Along with Paneer Makhani, we ordered Masala Khulcha. Boy oh boy, the best Paneer Makhani I have had in Singapore so far. And that khulcha, prepared in tandoor - stuffed with their signature masala preparation. Both of them tasted delicious individually. And when had together, I then could not stop myself until I finished it completely. It left me asking for more. 👍👍👍👍👍 If you are searching for this restaurant in google and reading this review, do one thing - just go to this restaurant and munch on their dishes. I am sure, you will not be let down. P.S: They provide complimentary pappads and their signature sauces as well - Mint/Corriander Chutney, Sour (tangy) Chutney and Spicy (Momos?) Chutney.

Wanted to go there for a long time but we're totally underwhelming experience. We just had starters and a drink each and came back. Ordered galouti, papdi chaat, and malai broccoli (server's recommendation). Papdi chaat was very less quantity and in a steel bowl, not at all per the expectation. Rest were okayish (expected much better for the raitings/price point). Would have come back to try main course, but too expensive to try given the experience.

I would suggest to avoid this place ..... cos the food was extremely disappointing. Hardly appetizing and food was far from fresh. We were recommended Dal Makhni which proved to be a disastrous option. Roti was hardly crispy despite this being requested for. I rather not say much beyond saying there are better options in the vicinity for much better indian food.

Have cravings for Naan and saw this restaurant in the heart of Orchard road, and was on vegetarian diet so giving this place a try. Ordered cheese and garlic naan and they were both great, portion big enough for 2 people. Also tried 2 of their vegetarian menu and loving the taste. As a Singaporean, I seldom get to try authentic Indian food and this was a great experience for me. Taste was strong and it wasn't spicy (you can request spicy level) and most importantly they are filling. Will definitely be back for their non vegetarian menu in the near future.

Terrible, overpriced Indian food. Not recommended at all. Dishes were too salty or too sweet. Chicken was dry and stale. No balance of flavours, and to top all that totally overpriced

  • 5/5 Shyam Sunder R. 3 years ago on Google
An awesome experience. Food is good, portions are nice. Was pretty impressed with the taste, it had a perfect fusion of North Indian food with just about right pinch of South Indian spices. Ambience around noon was fabulous, with enough fan one wouldn't be sweaty either. Lots of choices for drinks, includes cocktails, mock tails. My favorite was Nimbu with Adrak Ka ras "Lemon with Ginger Juice" and April Lady, a drink with fusion of Mango Lassi with mint and coconut juice. All the naans and breads were amazing. Absolutely recommend.

The staff is not nice, keep chasing us out saying that people are querying when there are no queues, in a rude way, interrupting the conversation 4-5times, then we ask why you chase us when leave other tables alone, he say he thought we can’t understand???? Very bad experience don’t recommend

  • 1/5 Yijia Z. 3 years ago on Google
We were still drinking and the staff is chasing us out we literally have the drinks on the table and they are giving us a deadline to leave at 930, I mean like ah?

  • 1/5 wang z. 3 years ago on Google
The waiter keep chasing us out. At the time of 935, he told us that we must order some more food or drink otherwise we need to leave by 945. It's so rude that we were forced to order in order to stay.

  • 5/5 Vihasini G. 3 years ago on Google
Curries, naans and briyani were excellent, as were the cocktails. Service was really really great also. They helped us celebrate dad's birthday with candles and plate decorations on the brownie and ice cream for free. Only flaw, mulligatawny soup was really quite salty. Other than that perfect dinner!

Not too spicy Indian fare. Service levels are pretty good despite weekend crowd. Taste wise I'll not call it great, spoiled as I'm with good Indian food, but it didn't disappoint. Pricey due to location perhaps.. Entire Cuppage area overcrowded during weekends so avoid if you are not a fan of crowds.

Sadly they do not know about Covid as they do not wear masks in the kitchen or gloves and have there feet on table, when on a break, staff do not wear gloves when clearing tables and i never see them wash hands. Can not imagine eating here again. The arrogant manager makes faces every time some one does not agree with his suggestions. Like its our fault we are visiting...so much for costumer care...Never again.
