Not a big hawker centre......pretty spacious, clean and well ventilated. Enjoyed the mee siam and laksa from Hup Hup and also the unique masala carrot cake from 333. Mee Siam gravy with a twist; the tanginess, rich coconut and nutty flavour. Equally shiok is laksa especially the fragrant and rich creamy gravy. Very creative and its love at first bite...soft and fragrant Masala carrot cake.

Small hawker center on second floor. Notable stalls are fried carrot cake, nasi lemak, bak chor mee, kopi etc. Look for stalls with long queue for popular food items.

Love the variety of food available πŸ˜‹ I live nearby but rarely come out to eat, but when I do.... I choose the best of the best haha. On rainy days I will order the porridge, and if I'm up for a kick the katong laksa. Then on normal days will order duck slice rice, wanton mee or mix rice. As I am a small eater I can only explore this place 1 meal at a time 😍 here's to more good food to be discovered!

Not many stalls are open during lunch time. There are a few stalls and it is quite quiet. Walking distance from MRT station.

I've been to many food centres, but this old place is one of my personal favourites. Why? Go early, and the air is fresh and clean here, the place is relatively quiet, plus the food of course is great! My parents has this as their regular late night supper haunt many many years ago, and I can see why. It's smothered in old-school charm any way you look at it. Back to the food! It's a haven if your vegetarian and the place is peppered with vegetarian rice stalls as well as green cze char stalls, with very reasonably priced menus. My favourites here are the Lor Mee, the Indian food, the Prawn Noodles, Teochew Fish Soup, the mixed food rice stall, the fried oysters (only in the evenings) the dessert stall, and this! Their U Hakka Yong Tau Foo. I've been here for as long as I can recall, and every time I'm here in the early mornings, I'd head straight for this stall. The friendly owner and his sister get here in the wee hours of the morning (around 2am) to start making their soup base, and the ingredients by hand. By 6.30am, they're ready for business and stay open until their stuff runs out, which is usually by about 11'ish am. You don't find many of these old-school foodstalls these days, still resorting to the old manual preparations, so for me, this is a gem worth hanging out at:)

Parents bought me here to try the stall "NUR", it sells North Indian food. Interesting find at hawker. I find the price of Chicken Biryani, $6, very reasonable. The drumstick is huge. Paneer cheese masala is definitely interesting too! I enjoyed the food.

Lots of variety to choose from, quite alot of stalls have queues and food tastes great in general. Popular choices are porridge, carrot cake, wanton mee and more! Guan cafe has very long queues for coffee/tea but they do serve very quickly. Will take awhile to get a seat especially on weekends but definitely worth visiting.

Came here to have breakfast prior to meeting our ID in the Ubi area, and was surprised to see that food centre filled with mostly elderlies. Porridge was good, at $4 for a bowl with egg, it’s not the cheapest but prices has been on the up and that’s pretty much average now. There’s a decent portion of meat and youtiao to go with, definitely will try the other variants seeing how constant the stream of patrons is. 🍝 Mee Siam was good too, definitely a go to for a fuss free and affordable breakfast! β˜•οΈ the coffee and tea were around $1.30 each, again relatively affordable for the estate

Nice quiet food centre. Not crowded at all in the mornings, limited food choices (around 10+ stalls). Kopi-O cheapest at $1, most selling at $1.10. A good place if you prefer a clean and quiet environment. Lots of parking options too.

This food centre is known for vegeterian food and quite quiet but when you walk over to 79A food centre, you can spot this long snaking queuing for Yong Lai Fa Ji Shu Shi fish soup. Queue move quite fast. Batang Fish is silky soft, fish skin is removed. Fried fish is tasty, deep fried using batang fish and not the usual dory fish. Broth is clear and light flavour. Chilli with douchi is complement with the fish soup well. Pig organ soup from heng heng was equally good as well. Liver, pig stomach, sliced pork were tender. Broth is slight peppery with some salted veg. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Bought the Masala carrot cake and wanton noodles. Both taste great! Only downside is the choices there are quite limited. There are like a few stalls selling similar types of noodles. Will wish to have more choices to choose from.

Quite a crowded market and food centre during weekend mornings. Came here to eat Masala Carrot Cake once, but portion little bit too small. Decently clean market.

I'm a fan of local hawker places in Singapore. Not the big, pricey, touristy ones, but the ones beside residential areas where locals come to dine. The food is cheap and delicious! This one is a good example.

Great place for nice food. Especially Gan's Yong Tou Foo which I always support. Of course there's also other great food to try out too.

Black coffee costing $1.10, higher than most hawker centre I have been to. The tofu dish at the vegetarian bee hoon stall turned bad: had to inform the stall holder who replaced with an egg. High ceiling with sufficient ventilation at this second level hawker centre. Serves morning and lunch time crowd.

Good food like intestine soup & chicken wings. Crispy skin bbq wings But majority of e food stalls (9 stalls) sell vegetarian. So if u are big fan, this is a must go place.

Small food/hawker center in the middle of public housing. Convenience to the local residents but not too many choices or selection of food.

One of the oldest hawker centres in the East offering a plethora of local fares. Opens early in the morning to provide the office dwellers with breakfast and last all the way past midnight with amazing supper choices. Conveniently located next to Mattar mrt and serviced by over 10 different buses from all corners of Singapore.

Located near Mattar mrt station Exit B and across the bridge of the canal. This hawker centre occupies 2 adjoining blocks (79 & 79A) and stretches over a long distance. They have so many foodstalls that you can't decide what to eat. Food is generally nice. 😊 However, the place is rather old and rundown.
