Cosy ambience. This cafe is opened by an elderly man, friendly and kind. Their menu is quite extensive, spoil for choices. Tried their chicken chop, skin is crispy, meat is tender and juicy.

We found a hidden gem at Middle Road. Leo Cafe & Restaurant is located at Populous Hotel, 2nd floor, 23 Middle Road. Just nearby hotel 81. Uncle Leo and the lady boss is very friendly. The restaurant is cosy and relaxing. The food is good quality for Singapore homemade style. It is so good even the white rice alone. They have special mixed a few types of rice, not just a simple normal white rice. The chicken chop, skin is so crispy. Fish and chips, fish is fresh and crispy. Not oily. My little boy finished the whole plate!! Indonesian Oxtail Soup is rarely found in Singapore, and they have a good one. We ate everything clean. I promised uncle Leo to shout out. This is a good local quality small restaurant that prepared their food with pure heart and love. We will come here more often for sure!! I put the name card and menu QR code in the photo below.

The cafe is located in populous hotel level 2, tried their Indonesian dish and in love with it! Owner is SG-Indo, the taste is very authentic and nice as it is their secret recipe! Each Indo dish is $12.50 nett. They have diff range of food as well so worth for a visit

Amazing warm service in this kind family business. The food was great, and also prices are decent for food, beverages and alcohol. I recommend visiting if you’re around ! You’ll be surprised:)

Good place to sit down with family / friends for a couple of beers and food. Good food served here and outdoor seating available. Plus they accept card payment.

Very very nice food. My kids and all adults really enjoyed the food. Big portion..must try the chicken chop and fish and chips. Uncle Leo and his staff are really friendly. Really a hidden gem. We will def come back! I hope more people can know of this place. They are moving out next month and looking for area to open the cafe again. I really hope they are open again and I'm sure we will visit!!

loving the services by the staff there! super friendly and a quiet place for guests to dine in. Had free mocktail voucher that was provided by the Populous Hotel and decided to drop by the café for some brunch and lunch the next day. The staff were friendly to ask if we wanted to change my sunny side set to scrambled egg which we did and she even changed my tea to orange juice as I don't drink coffee/tea. The other set for the breakfast was the platter set and the grilled potato was amazing. Went back the next day to redeem the other mocktail voucher (we stayed for two nights so we got two days of free mocktail voucher) and we order the lunch set which was delicious too. The ayam was slightly spicy but they did ask me before hand what spice tolerance i can handle which i said normal. But the spice level was still slightly spicy but I love it. The chicken chop itself was delicious and the potato wedges !! The staff there even provided Wi-Fi password to my bf who was calling his mates for discussion. For the hotel guest, there is even a 10% discount and free room services. The café itself is pretty quiet during lunch time, not sure if its because they opt for room services but 100/100 recommended!! Its a 5minute walk from Bugis station! The prices wise are ranging from $10-$20 with no GST, so do drop by if you are around the area!

Good little restaurant with high hospitality service of the owner. I have just visit for the first time and ordering some Indonesian food, Pecak Ayam. It nice and chef so kind to make it specialize for me by make it more spicy. Recommended!

I visited Leo Cafe and Restaurant out of curiosity, and I was not disappointed. The size of the servings, the taste of the food, the quality of the service, and the pleasant atmosphere all contributed to a great dining experience. Now I understand why this little restaurant has such a good reputation.

Service was just excellent. Staff was VERY friendly and that really made the whole experience at Populous Hotel so so much better. Wide variety of food and drinks + free mocktails and 10% discount for guests. Got the outside seats for breakfast - very cozy place with a chill atmosphere. Would come back here again even if we weren’t staying at the hotel.

Nice cosy place. Arrive at 1pm on a Sunday. Not crowded. We had the chicken chop and platter. Fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Chicken chop was delicious and crispy. Absolutely loves the salad.

I have brought friends for dinner and drinking several times and said that it is good, the environment is elegant, the food tastes good, the price of the wine is also quite fair, and several groups of friends say it is good. Every time we have friends or have a drink, we will come to this restaurant ,

Walking around looking for some where to eat in Singapore we were approached by Leo as we studied the menu. We wanted to shower before diner but returned later. The service was exceptional with Leo just the perfect host. There was a good variety of Asian dishes and a few 'Western ' choices. The meal was very tasty and Leo esquires exactly how spicy you like your food. Prices were also very reasonable and the place had a nice atmosphere.

The taste is yummy, must try. The chef will take her time to prepare the food for you, but it's worth the wait.

Reasonable, cozy place and friendly uncle. No party occasion. Super suitable for Chilling by yourself or lunch with your colleagues. This cafe is at Level 2 of the hotel.
