👍👍 We had a wonderful experience at Chef's table. I was late for dinner and my partner was grumpy, but her face lit up after tasting the sauce from the first Hamachi dish. So thank you fish, and thank you chef. Second we had the scallops - which were very sweet. And then came the flakey cod fish, prawn... Leaning towards the fine dining experience, I would say this establishment is well run in all aspects. From making a reservation to the service staff during the meal, they're genuine and approachable (kudos to the young male server, for once I felt like I was talking to a friend instead of just another service staff) And next of course the food was good. The ingredients are well thought out and compliment each other (even though one may not have thought they would work together), with subtle surprising flavours which adds a note or two which stands out just enough to be noticed. Put it all together and I'm overall impressed with each dish and enjoyed the tasting experience. Kudos to the pineapple themed desert as well, unique in my books.

We had a wonderful experience at Chef's table. I was late for dinner and my partner was grumpy, but her face lit up after tasting the sauce from the first Hamachi dish. So thank you fish, and thank you chef. Second we had the scallops - which were very sweet. And then came the flakey cod fish, prawn, and the potato - they went really well together. So far each dish had managed to top the previous one. I told them I didn't want beef / pork but missed out the lamb when I was looking on the menu...so we had lamb. I don't usually eat lamb but this was better than whatever lamb I have ever eaten in my life. I don't usually like desserts but what we had (one apple-based, one chocolate-based) were interesting and fun to eat. One thing that would be nice - is to give us a small card or something printed (or even digital) so we can remember the names / ingredients of what we had!

Incredible dining experience. Had the eight course dinner on a Saturday night. Was served by the ever entertaining Leroy, who made the dining experience a lot more enjoyable. The dishes were well thought through, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh - I have never tasted a prawn that tasted so much like prawn. Highly recommended and definitely deserving of a Michelin star.

Great dining experience ! Although I would have loved to see more seafood. Our group of 4 went for the $108 set lunch- flavors were great but I just would have loved to get an oyster or more seafood . The monk fish was spectacularly done :) Great dining experience and I recommend lunch as it’s wallet friendly!

A friend & I celebrated my birthday May 10 this year & everything was perfect. We had a four course vegetarian & a four course meat/seafood with wine pairings for both. The chef cleverly matched the vegetarian & non-vegetarian dishes to parallel each other while being unique. From the champagne with the first taste to the Tokaji with dessert, each plate was beautifully presented and delectable. The servers all pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you for a memorable and tasty meal!

We had enjoyed chef’s dishes at an HSBC event last month, and the entire table decided to try a meal at his restaurant as well. We opted for the $98 4 course set lunch, and the ingredients were fresh. They will ask you if you have any allergies or food preferences. The eatery has nice vibes and decor, as well as a glassed in show kitchen, and staff were friendly and efficient, and also took pains to explain the dishes, which were well presented. The meal was well curated, with balanced flavours and quality ingredients. Our favourite was the beef done in two ways. Dessert was nice, and we thought the weakest dish, if that might be called, was the hamachi starter - it had nice tart and citrus notes, but the fish was slightly “fishy”. It was a good lunch, and we decided to come back to try the other set lunches.

Incredible experience. The service is absolutely immaculate. Love the concept of the chef bringing and explaining each dish. The no menu approach is wonderful too to discover everything as you go. Just wonderful!

Every dish was great. No mind blower but greatly enjoyed every single dishes. Calm ambience. Great service. Had 6 course menu. Want to try 8 course next time but 6 was already generous portion.

Food is excellent, my favorite is the "extra" savory duck course you can get instead of dessert. Highly recommend. The dishes felt unique and they gave you plenty of alternative options for any dietary restrictions. Skip the wine pairing, not worth it

My husband brought me here as a treat for our one-year anniversary. Food was nothing short of amazing, but kudos to the amazing team who worked tireless to serve us diners on NYE! Staff were attentive, friendly and genuine. We were informed that there were some specially curated dishes on the celebration menu and given an extra dessert for our anniversary. I personally liked the 2nd course - black cod & Argentinean prawns the best. And the bread! It was fresh, hot and tasty, just so lovely! A small feedback though, I felt that the kitchen could be more enclosed to keep the smell of cooking in. Would recommend this establishment for any special occasions!

My wife and I went to the restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner as she has been wanting to try the food here after hearing many good reviews of the place. The restaurant certainly lives up to its good rating and reviews. It was a delightful gastronomic experience for both my wife and myself. All the dishes were fantastic right from the start and up to the desserts. We enjoyed everything even as simple as the bread with salted butter, and the food was so delicious that we cleared everything on the plates. The service crew would patiently explain each dish to us which helped us to understand and savour the dish better. We would eagerly anticipate the next dish after finishing each dish. We also received a complimentary chocolate cake which was very thoughtful of the restaurant to conclude a wonderful dining experience for our wedding anniversary. We are already looking forward to our next trip to the restaurant.

Chef’s Table is a perennial favorite of mine as Chef Stephan continues to serve up delightfully composed dishes based on ingredients that aren’t always exotic or premium. Home chefs will usually leave with a practical new ideas on how to spruce up their own creations. Chef has also managed to keep his pricing very reasonable in what feels like an increasingly absurd market for finer dining. - The team here is considerate of dietary restrictions, with substitutions of entire dishes ad hoc. - If you opt for the non dessert option, be prepared for what amounts to two additional mains 😅

Was here for my wife's birthday dinner. Had read the reviews about open kitchen, etc., but I guess it was too much to expect during COVID. Still good distancing apart from others. Set menu (more or less) minus stuff we don't eat, e.g., mine had no shellfish. Started with their recommended wine (which was great). Cute picture too. Then courses came one by one. Very modern take on western dining - many layers of flavours, cereliac and other fancy ingredients. I think it's a bit of overpromise (or try too hard) and not enough on delivery. The dishes were sometimes too roccoco and the tastes get lost in the complexity. We watch "The Great British Menu" a lot on TV so style is familiar but I think the chef should focus on simplicity and taste rather than being instagramable.

An interesting concept of western Omakase with an on the spot dietary requirements list. The meal was pretty good and enjoyable, the staff were friendly and so were the chef chatting with the diners. Would say it's a pretty good place that serves food for reasonable price. Just a minus compared to many other fine dining restaurants this place is a tad too noisy.

Really delicious food. Menu changes up all the time and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Elegant decor with rustic section in the back (bathroom area). The open kitchen to watch the artists (cooks) do their thing is fascinating

Had my bday celebration here. It was a great experience. Staff were all very warmth and friendly. They explained the course dinner well. I also enjoyed the cocktails. Most of all, the dishes were on point. It has a lot of flavours in it. Maybe if I had to pick, the pork collar was my least favourite. But in general, they were good. I will definitely be back! It’s interesting to have omakase style which is it Japanese type of food. Sit back, relax and enjoy the food that will be serve to you. Thanks to the team at Chef’s Table for a great service!

Excellent environment but the food is junk. It is so fusion one has no idea what they are eating. My opinion as someone who has been cooking the past 40 years of my life. This chef is obviously using AI to create his recipes.

*spoilers in pictures for ongoing signature 6-course menu* Had the absolute pleasure of trying their brand new signature tasting menu which is on rotation until October or so! Overall, every dish was creative, thoughtfully prepared, high-quality and just superbly delicious. Due to personal preference, we had some thoughts on how certain dishes could have been elevated further but they were 10/10 in most cases - all plates were left empty! Love the cozy, unpretentious vibes and how warm the service team were. Special shout out to Leroy who was bubbly yet professional, and the head chef (Wei?) who came by to sincerely seek feedback for the menu. Was a great birthday dinner and we will be back for their $58 lunch tasting menus!

This is a Michelin level restaurant without the pretension and the star - but much deserving. The food was incredible and the service was the best we’ve seen in a long while. Leroy made our experience 10 out of 5. I can’t believe how incredibly accommodating they are for dairy-free and vegan people, with such an incredible non-vegan menu. The wine pairings were exquisite and personalized to our tastes - not pre set. If you come here, you must sit with Leroy.

Great service, great food! It was rather quiet the day we went (wonder why) so it felt almost like a private dinner. There is no menu, the menu is decided on the day based on the ingredients. So everything served is a surprise! They have a vegan menu, a wine pairing.. the explain everything served to you, great bread too! Loved it!

Went for my birthday dinner and had the 6 course omakase. Delicious food and excellent service. Must try for a special occasion! Totally worth the $$ spent. My favorite item of the day was the yogurt ice cream in the dessert. The chef also gave a complimentary cake since it was my bday

Went here for an anniversary dinner, had the 4 course meal. The cocktails were not bad (I suspect they get them from laiba), rosemary gin and I am coconut were good. We got one complete vegetarian meal and one all in. So the variety was staggering to see. Amazing concept, fantastic presentation, wonderful well rounded tastes and the service with every course description really was great. The decor is not earth shattering, but for the service and food it's definitely a fine dining place. Won't even try and describe the dishes since they were so complex and fusion flavours.

Wonderful experience accompanied with flavourful dishes. Service was great too! Each dish was meticulously crafted and the chefs and staff described the dishes one by one. Took on the option of the 8 course meal and I’d say it’s very filling. Our tummies and hearts are full!

Love the dishes! All are nice except the smoked duck not quite my type. Anyway, very gentle and nice Chef table in European style. Can call it “comfort food” for Chef table. Want to return again. Weekdays lunch maybe more affordable price:)

Beautiful good, omakase style with fresh ingredients, prepared in front of your eyes by the chef's. Each dish will be explained to you individually with an dietary needs/wants catered for. You can choose from 4,6 or 8 courses, with wine pairings. All of this in a really comfortable, unpretentious space, with friendly and excellent, unobtrusive service. Not cheap, but very worth it for the experience.

Amazing food and service! If you're thinking of a visit stop thinking and make a reservation. Prices may be a little high (around 200 sgd per head) but it's all worth it! Take my advice, the 4 course set simply is not enough.

  • 5/5 John L. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic dinning experience. They do not have a set menu, but you will have a choice of 5,6 or 8 courses and the chef will prepare the entire course for you according to the day's ingredients. Kinda like a western omakase. They take a note of which ingredients you would not prefer or are allergic to. I had the 8 course: so 6 mains, 2 desserts. You have to experience such a dinning experience at least once in your life. Dress code is casual.

Went for birthday dinner and chose 8 courses. Love it! Each course is specially crafted and chef will explain the dish to you. It’s very special and I love this western Omakase experience. The best foie gras we have eaten, and the wagyu beef! Unremarkable, can’t wait to come back when there’s new menu.

Deserves a Michelin star asap ! The 4 meal course is more then enough, portions are very satisfying. Every visit will be a different experience. Chefs created flavorful luxurious meals with everyday ingredients. Fish and meat were cooked on point, all flavors mixing well together, every piece of each meal was interesting to eat. I re-discovered with a new eye some flavors such as leek and artichoke. Wine selection was very good. Service were attentive and gentle. Even more impressive, chefs were pretty young but already very talented !

First visit and it was a pleasant and great dining experience. We had 4 courses - from land and sea and a bottle of white wine. 1. Restaurant managers were attentive and helpful. They checked if you have any diet restrictions and communicated well to the kitchen to get the order right. Well done. 2. Every dishes were well presented. Impressed with the cod fish but would be perfect if it was less salty. Other that that, it was really well cooked. Love it. 3. Light starters with refreshing aftertaste. 4. Such gorgeous dessert and I totally enjoyed it. 5. Bread was crunchy outside, soft and fluffy inside. I would love to visit again. 👍🏻👏🏻

Gaggenau set lunch ($58 + $18 supplement for beef main course), inclusive of free flow still or sparkling Nordaq water. 1. Amuse bouche (cauliflower and tonburi) - Good. Enjoyed the celaraic texture. 2. Bread service (rye bread and French butter) - Excellent warm bread with great texture. 3. Appetiser (lobster and prawn roll) - The coconut Thai flavours and herbs went well with the lobster bisque sauce. But it was just small pieces of prawn. 4. Main course (wagyu beef) - Good. The flank steak and beef cheek were very tender. 5. Dessert (textures of chocolate) - Good. 6. Petit fours (melon, jelly, chocolate truffles) - Great. Excellent service.

Really superb food expertly executed. Never a bad meal here. The decor here is quite casual, but the food here is michelin star quality, as well as the wine selection. We had two amazing blanc de blancs here. The set dinner was delicious - of note, the jeruselem artichoke tart was delicate and flavorful. The sourdough bread here is super amazing - crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, served with their lovely whipped butter and Evoo with balsamic. The scallop sashimi with brown butter hollandaise was very fresh and well balanced and the seared duck was cooked just right, so moist and soft, which complemented very well the veal ragu beneath. In all, a meal well done at a reasonable price.

We’ve been here twice now, and love it both times. I love the concept of choosing what ingredients you don’t eat and letting the chef decide the rest based on the best available ingredients. The service team is also amazing, always ready to answer questions and crack a joke or two. Love it!

You must order the lockdown takeaway menu - it tastes amazing and is such good value. Its an opportunity to eat some of Chef Stephan's delicious good in your own house. Its so easy and quick to prepare the food, all the sauces and garnishes are included, the food is packed in little parcels - its even fun to open it all and see what gets delivered. All it requires is a few minutes in a boiling pot of water. I am definitely going to be ordering every week while the lockdown continues.

One of the must have food experiences in Singapore. The ambience is relaxed and good for conversations. I am a vegetarian so all I had to tell them was that and then just sit back and enjoy awesome food. The service too was really good with them taking time to explain what they are serving. Cherry on the top for me was that after telling them that I don't drink alcohol, they mixed a special mocktail for me that was a nice surprise and tasty.

I’ve been to Chef’s Table by Chef Stephan several times now. Each experience is unlike the rest, in terms of the wide variety of food and preparation, as well as downright the same, in terms of great experience and just really tasty food. I recommend having one of their wine pairings along with your meal. I’ve done four glasses and wished I’d order six and six glasses and wished (the next day) I’d ordered only four. Either way, very thoughtful and complimentary libations.

Had the first of our two dinners from Chef's Table last night and was very impressed. (They come in sets of 3 courses for two nights.) Being able to complete the final (easy) steps at home meant the food was piping hot when we sat down to eat. It was also incredibly tasty. I didn't think fine dining in COVID world would work. But this has proven me wrong. Thanks to the CT team! We will be back.

One of the exceptional dining experiences in Singapore. You are presented with a list of fresh ingredients, and you cross out the ones you don't eat. Then, four (or six or eight) courses of meal are presented, each with very delicate mix of texture, flavors and great visual presentation. Highly recommend for a special event.

Had dinner for 3 pax on 27/9. Nice concept. Chose the 4 course omakase for 98++ each pax and we opened 2 bottles of normal French wines (98 also). So the bill came up to almost 600. But I must say I was underwhelmed by some of the food. Nice presentation but my fish (halibut I believe) came overcooked although the pork was nicely done. For me, if they can't get a fish dish right, it's all alarm bells. Need to think whether I would go there again as there are better options for quality and price in this town.

Absolutely spectacular restaurant. We have eaten a lot of great meals at a lot of great restaurants (Michelin starred and otherwise) and this has to be one of the absolute best dinners we have had. The inventiveness, flavours, and execution were brilliant, the staff friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and the wine matching with the meal was thoughtful and interesting. If you are in Singapore you must eat here; if you are not in Singapore, you should plan a trip just to have dinner here!

  • 5/5 Christina K. 4 years ago on Google
Eating here is always a great gustatory journey. We love that there is no fixed a la carte menu, but only a list with seasonal key ingredients. You have to tell what you don’t like and the chefs will prepare a menu full of surprises and discoveries. Chef Stephan and his team deliver the dishes to the table, describing the ingredients, flavours, and creative techniques used in the creation of the dish. We always go for the wine pairing and are always absolutely satisfied about the unique exceptional taste. This place is one of our favourites in Singapore for a special dining adventure.

Chefs Table, the restaurant we all were hanging to check out and we saved it for last on our trip to Singapore. Well, I'm glad we did as I don't think anything would have been able to top it. Being our final night in Singa, we wanted to leave in style and a fun filled evening and boy did we get that from the moment we walked in, to when we left. When we arrived, the team knew who we were without even me having to say who the booking was under, the explanation of how the restaurant works, accommodating everyone's dietary needs, being helpful with the wine to making the ambience of the restaurant funky and cool, was all part of the charm of Chef's Table, but the real winner is Stephan Zoisl and his team, creating a storm in the kitchen that was simply MAGNIFICENT! Can't explain how amazing this food was and good portions for the 4 course that we chose. We seriously cannot wait to come back and dine again with friends. Seriously, thank you team for making every part of our evening memorable. Cheers

Highly recommended! An unique omakase experience away from our usual Japanese fare. Our date night at Chef's Table was a delightful experience, some dishes could've been better for my palate but even so, every dish is beautifully plated for your eyes to enjoy. Their dessert is a must try - the tall table setup would probably be the only thing that made me felt slightly uncomfortable in the restaurant.

Food was interesting and good. The chef will prepare dishes based on the ingredients available for the day. Very friendly service. Pricey though.

Only suitable if you're a very flexible eater who likes degustation. If not, they'll ignore your preferences anyway and you'll have a tough time.

Best restaurant in Singapore! I’ve been here for so many times with different friends, and they all spoke highly of this place. I had different dishes every time, but the common thing is that they are all tasty. The price is reasonable; the portion is big enough so that you don’t need to have a lot of bread to fill yourself; various ingredients are composed innovatively with proper cooking and seasoning. There are so many restaurant in the area but chef’s table is the one I would recommend from all aspects.

(Translated by Google) Excellent quality meal, well cooked and well presented. Tastes are present. Dessert very good. The Australian Shiraz is divine. Some false notes at this price (230 € for two): the whites (vino verde and chablis) are disappointing. The kitchens through which we go to go to the WC (yes !!!) and these are not up to par (cramped, dilapidated). American-style service: you are asked all the time if everything is fine, you are refilled with water as soon as you take a sip and it is too expeditious (we will ask for a 15-minute break before dessert, without success) . The meal is dispatched quickly in an hour, second service requires ....? Pity. Dommage.

Did a $88++ chope exclusive deal that was a 6 course meal here. I don’t eat beef myself, so the main course black angus beef was swapped out for lamb instead (which was really tasty). Highly recommend!

Absolutely AMAZING experience, loved that there’s no menu but simply a list of the freshest ingredients. Lots of creativity goes on the creation of the dishes and the 6course tasting menu was simply outstanding, every dish was better than the previous one. Staff and the Chef himself were wonderful.

This was my first 'proper' Greek food. In the past, my encounter with Greek food was in small restaurants that sells gyros. I came in without a reservation and was lucky enough to get a seat. I ordered bread and hummus for starter and had their Lamb for my main course. They were fantastic.

Upscale food in a nice, but still relaxing atmosphere I have been there at least 10 times over the last few years and I must say I’ve never been disappointed, but rather always surprised to the upside. The surprise menu is excellent and the food quality great. On top of that it still comes in a relaxing atmosphere with a great & lovely team. I can definitely recommend this place!

A Delightful Lunch Experience at the Chef's Table by Chef Stephan! The menu offers a diverse range of options, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in each dish. I opted for the lunch set for me and my family. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was a work of art. Overall, the combination of excellent service, outstanding food, and an inviting atmosphere made it a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Chef's Table to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable treat. With special gratitude to Chef Wei Peng, Manoj, Leroy, and the entire team! 🙏🏻
