These original Ratings and Stars are meant for Tiong Bahru Food Centre itself, Tengji fish soup took it over as theirs! Funny Google did not do Anything about this!

Really clean, spacious and airy hawker centre! Multiple stores spotted with long queues, yet didnโ€™t eat into the space of the diners unlike many other hawker centre would. ๐Ÿฌ Store reviews ๐Ÿฌ Tiong Bahru Hainanese boneless chicken rice - decent plate of chicken rice, everything was well cooked, chilli was very flavourful yet not overpoweringly hot ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ่€้™ˆ carrot cake - tried both the white and black version, and preferred the black version more (though I usually go with the white one) Tiong Bahru Bak Chor Mee - wasnโ€™t anything to shout at, a normal bowl of BCM Zhong Yu Yun Wei Wanton Noodle - an average bowl of wanton noodle Tiong Bahru Fishball - good addition to the meal!

Starting the new year at a familiar old haunt at Tiong Bahru Hawker Centre. This Market and Hawker Centre has been through a couple of rebuilds and renovations since it first opened in 1951 as Seng Poh Market. Located just next to the escalator arrival at Level 2 is Hong Heng Fried Sotong Prawn Mee. Helmed by the 3rd generation hawker, this stall serves Fried Sotong Prawn Mee with great Wok Hei. The only negative was that the broth of the dish was a little salty. With many regular customers, one has to arrive early to be able to enjoy this dish. Tow Kwar Pop is a stall that has been around since 1965. Selling a simple and nutriously yummy dish made for a healthy alternative to rojak, the dish consists of grilled on order Tow Kwar that is filled with beansprouts and cucumber slices. One may even throw in a few add ons such as YouTiao and additional Tow Kwar. Koh Brother Pig's Organ soup has been around since the 1950s. Now helmed by the 2nd and 3rd generation hawkers, this stall serves up a great Pig's Organ Soup that works well as a comfort dish during the wet cold days as well as a calming soup on warm days. Great comfort soup that is well prepared and yummy that never fails to lift one's spirits. Having made a circular round of the Hawker Centre, the last stall visited is just to the right of the escalator of Level 2. Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice is hugely popular with a queue forming even before they begin service. They serve both white steamed chicken and roast chicken. The white steamed chicken meat here is so tender and the skin was juicy and moist. It was so yummy just eating it on its own. The order of chicken feet was all the collagen goodness with a wonderful chewy feeling that one could enjoy for days as it way prepared in a zesty way which made it all the more refreshing. There are definitely more stalls to try at this fabled Hawker Centre but for now, it has been a good way to begin the year. Of the 3 Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award winners here, 2 are definitely deserving of their award.

This market is a historic icon of Singapore and it is located in a housing estate where the architectural design is uniquely Art Decor. A really nice place of incredible character. The market has two floors. Downstairs is a wet market where fresh meat, fish, vegetables and flowers are sold and where dried food stuff and even clothings and home cleaning stuff can be purchased. Upstairs is the food centre where cuisines of many races and nationalities can be bought and consumed on location or taken away. Here you can find some stalls with Michelin recognition.

This food centre may be from the yesteryears but itโ€™s big and spacious compared to older food centres built around its time. Itโ€™s located at the second level with one complete round of stalls with a variety of local delights. Easily access by the lift and one main escalator with adjoining multi-storey carpark. Surface carpark nearby provide alternate parking spaces

Sadly , so many hawkers have retired and no good ones to take over. Many stalls have short hours and by lunchtime, are not operating. Dinner is even more pathetic. A sad shadow of what it used to be . There is still the odd good stall , like the prawn noodles or the roast meats but the queues are overwhelming.

When I'm in Singapore I love to stay in Tiong Bahru, and I stay there mostly because of this market. Good variety, uncluttered, but still busy and fresh. The longest lines move fast and normally are a good sign. It used to have some Arab food, but now is mostly south east Asian. The bao store here is an institution.

Tiong Bahru Hawker Center is a culinary gem that captures the essence of Singapore's diverse food scene. With its inviting atmosphere and a myriad of stalls offering local delights, this hawker center is a must-visit. From mouthwatering laksa to flavorful chicken rice, the variety is impressive. What stands out is the authentic taste and affordability, making it a perfect spot for both locals and visitors. The vibrant ambiance and friendly vendors contribute to a delightful dining experience. Tiong Bahru Hawker Center is undoubtedly a go-to destination for those craving a taste of Singapore's rich culinary heritage. Also a great place to buy fruits, veggies, flowers, and other market needs.

A normal market in Singapore, but it's worth the visit if you're around. The 1st floor is for food and daily necessities, but the 2nd floor is a great food court. The food is quite cheap compared to other places, and they have a really nice dessert shop. However today, because of Covid, lots of table were available. Noteworthy : there's a bus station next to it, so it's easy to reach from Downtown

Located on the 2nd floor of Tiong Bahru Hawker and Market is this understated eatery stall, Teng Ji Fried Fish Soup. When u walk pass in the morning, u can smell the mouth- watering of fried fish being deep fry for one of their awesomeness soup. This is one of the stalls that I will go to when I need a simple soup base meal with rice. For today, I choose the white fish soup. This bowl of fish soup though look really simple and lack the spice look of the deep fry version, is pack with that punch that will satisfy your palate. To start with the rice is cook just nice for my preference, not too soft but with the texture. The first mouthful of soup just wake up my tummy. Every spoonful of soup, is fill with the freshness and happiness of every soup lover. This soup which look simple, is the effort of the people that comes early in the morning to prepare the broth. TOP with the a small pc of the tradition dry fish, a must have, in fish soup. Without it is not complete. Donโ€™t underestimate this small pc, it enhanced the level of the soup to another level. Even the green, r just so fresh and crunchy. Now the main star, the slice fish, is so smooth and fresh, that complete this total package of rice, soup and fish. For my own version of eating, I will always drop in a few pcs of red cut chilli to give the extra wow. If u happen to come by there, do give it a must try.

My to-go place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Conveniently located within short walking distance from Havelock MRT. You can find almost everything that suits your fancy. Youโ€™re craving for tom yum soup? They have it. Nasi lemak? They also have it. Cantonese? They have it. Noodles variety from bak chor mee, wonton noodle, kway teow, kway chap, hokkian noodle: you can have it all. Price is very affordable and the uncles & aunties are very kind. I like to get my breakfast very early in the morning 5-6am here. Oh they also have killer soy bean milk. Definitely a must-visit. Never say youโ€™ve been to SG without a visit to their landmark hawker centre.

We got there for breakfast. Fresh soy milk was good. The black carrot cake was yummy but not the white version. Chwee kueh was good. Overall, I have mixed reviews, and honestly, we did not get to try more stuff as most of the stalls were opened in the morning.

Tiong Bahru is a hidden food paradise, very civilian, only open until 3pm every day. There are about 50 stalls, but 3 stalls are recommended by Michelin Gourmand.

Was there early around 1130am on a weekday, there is a queue but waited only about 10minutes. I ordered the Bee Hoon Mee combo, Medium size. I regretted my decision as the Bee Hoon does not has the right texture with the gravy. The Mee is a better choice. I like it with lots of garlic, chilly, vinegar. The gravy is on the thicker starchy side. Overall, it is an amazing Lor Mee.

Impressed with this hawker as itโ€™s big, spacious and really clean! The cleaners were seen scrubbing the pillars as well. Recommend the ่€้™ˆblack carrot cake seen in the first stall when coming up from the escalator.

Great selection of good food in one hawker centre. Many stalls are long time favourites which have been around for years. Airy area with good lighting and many seats. Always satisfied when I get a chance to go

this place has much to offer. There are many places to eat on the second floor, and on the first floor there are many shops which have flowers, food, other products, etc. Itโ€™s a neat place to go.

Ordered a char quay teow and beef ball soup and was honestly quite disappointed. This hawker center was supposed to be really good but unfortunately the food from this relatively famous char quay teow shop was very sub standard. Portion wise is inconsistent and taste is not exceptional. I came to the hawker at 7 and more than 85% stalls were closed already. Not sure when is a good time to visit but have yet to try the dishes that they are actually known for.

Came after 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and there was no queue! The smallest portion at $3.5 is deliciously value-for-money and is actually also quite filling for lunch. Definitely one of the best lor mee in town! Paynow available.

When we talk about Tiong Bahru Food Centre, there are always a list of Stalls not to be missed out in our minds and one of them is none other than this Tiong Bahru Lor Mee. Many swear that its the best Lor Mee in town and during a weekend as early as 7am, we already notice a long queue lining up for their noodles. Their Lor Mee comes in 3 sizes, Small, Medium & Big, from $3.50 to $5.50. The braised sauce texture was not too starchy and the portion was of good amount. The ingredients they had were fried fish nuggets, fried Wanton, braised egg and braised pork. Lor Mee - $3.50 (Small) The fish was battered and fried, soaked in the braised Gravy. Overall, I find that Tiong Bahru Lor Mee still lives up to its name.

Bought $4.50 medium bowl. Ingredients are good and fresh. Serving portion is good. Only problem is the lor mee sauce is not very tasty. Queue is not long but need to wait for a while as each bowl is individually cook.

Tiong Bahru Food Centre is located at the same building on the second floor of Tiong Bahru Market. It is a spacious, clean, comfy open air hawker centre. There are a lot of stalls providing local Chinese, Malay, and Indian delicacies. Food pricing is also affordable. The food centre is just walkway from Havelock MRT Station and bus stop at the main road.

Affordable food here. Today I ate fish and chips, pretty okay. Price was a little steep for this stall compared to others. Forgot the name of the stall, but it was western food, next to the kampung carrot cake stall. ๐Ÿ˜‹

One of the most iconic hawker centres in singapore. Food is good. What can I say? Get ready to be super full!

I grew up in this area and knew some of the stalls which have been around for 50 years or longer. Those are shown in the photos. Some of the stall owners used to live around the same neighborhood as me. However the quality of food had degraded over the years in general. There were short cut taken in order to cope with the demands

I loveeee this hawker, though the store quality really varies. There were/are some good Michelin Bib stores here too. Itโ€™s more crowded with more stalls open in the day during lunch (and on weekends), with few open at night (but still a option if youโ€™re in the area).

Another favorite food center with the locals. There will always be people around! This expansive food center will have all the typical foods you'd find in any other food center but I do believe the food here is just a touch above the average hawker center. A few things I would say are a must get are the prawn mee from Hong Heng, a stall specializing in prawn mee; and the fish balls from one of the fish ball vendors. The prawn mee was massive and full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The fish balls were also delicious as they weren't too salty and had amazing texture and bounce when you bit in to them. If you have a chance, go grab some otah as well!

One of the MUST GO food courts in Singapore. Reknowned for the Curry Rice as well as the Rojak, Chui Kway and Hokkien Mee. It must be ranked as one of the cleanest food courts in Singapore so that is a major plus and also fairly easy to get a car park lot if you are driving. Went there several times during the peak lunch time during Sundays and could still get a table fairly easily.

็Ÿณ็ฃจ่‚ ็ฒ‰ is soft and made on the spot, though $5.8 is a bit ex. (But it has prawns and char siew) so I guess it is justifiable. Long queue better order it and get a number asap.

Read about the Tiong Bahru Food Centre - it should be a secret tip and one of the best food centres. There weren't many tourists, so it seems like mainly locals eat there. Food was great and the centre is very spacious.
