😠 Utterly atrocious service from Chateraise! There is no service excellence in the staff who attended to us. Served by an extremely rude and incompetent cashier today who glared at us when we were ordering. Then she shouted, “WHERE IS YOUR ORDER?” and “STAND ASIDE!” after we made payment. We are sorel... Utterly atrocious service from Chateraise! There is no service excellence in the staff who attended to us. Served by an extremely rude and incompetent cashier today who glared at us when we were ordering. Then she shouted, “WHERE IS YOUR ORDER?” and “STAND ASIDE!” after we made payment. We are sorely disappointed to see such poor customer service in an otherwise fancy and reputable Japanese shop. We definitely will not patronise this branch anymore.

yesterday night, i went to clementi outlet to get two cakes & two puff… as i was busy digging my wallet.. guess what the cashier was doing? instead of telling me the amount, she simply just hit on the cash register screen louder & louder till i looked up.. why is she doing that? the very most basic service not even up to the standard… don’t even need to expect more… disgusting… hope the management will looked into it…

Posh and pretty pastries if you are into this sort of thing. I am a casual fan of sweet cakes but found the cream puffs pleasantly satisfying.

i bought the legendary chocolate cake from clementi mall outlet at 9.15pm on 14 may. i always buy my cake from there as i am a big fan of chataraise. but today i had a different experience. i was paying money and my cake was $5.10. i had pass 3 $2 notes to the cashier and she was clicking on the tablet after taking the cash. i found that i had $0.10 in my pouch so i wanted to give her. but seeing her hands were occupied i put it on the counter for her. to my surprise, she just threw the $1 coin on the table when i extended my hand waiting to take the $1 from her. there was no name tag so i do not know her name. i insist the management look into this.

Poor attitude from elderly cashier who chose to ignore a simple query. Felt like talking to a stubborn block of wood. Cakes and ice creams are supposed to be happy food. Sincere recommendation to management to ensure the services are aligned to your merchandise.

Awesome cake 🎂 (friendly service)- SPECIAL STRAWBERRY WHOLE CAKE (21cm). The taste is always the same as it is and every piece of the cake you take is so good.. and not to forget the generous toppings of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. So tempting it is so nice to eat it while it is chill (outer part of the cake is fully covers with cream that is velvety texture and inside is soft spongy) it’s definitely a cake that I will always go for. 💖

Cashier was extremely rude! She cannot pronounce Chocolate “ganache” pie yet she berated me for pronouncing it correctly! She raised her voice at me and said “We called it chocolate pie here!” I replied “If you want people to call it chocolate pie then don’t put the word ganache on the label!” What kind of logic is this, you cannot pronounce and can’t read the word and you don’t allow others to pronounce the word?! She proceeded to cash me out and was punching the cash register with her mighty pointer which I thought she was gonna fracture that pointer of hers! Spent a good 5 mins waiting for her to find where the “Chocolate pie” was in her system! Refused to ask for help from her colleague until the very end! Made us wait and wait for her to finally get her pride down to ask for help from others! Such a rude and prideful cashier!

Looking at review from others, it seems like Clementi outlet has not been performing. What's interesting is nothing is being done! Past experiences there had been pleasant except recent visits. Staff preferred chatting at a corner, ignorant of customers. When I looked at them, they just glanced and continued chattering. Until they happy, one staff approached and asked what I want in a rude tone. Kept asking "and what?". Couldn't that question be phrased in a kinder tone? Next, paying at the cashier. Wanted to have both slices of cake packed separately since it was for somebody else but instead of separating the slices, cashier staff wanted to offer me an empty box which I have to pack myself in the end. That would have defeat the purpose totally, yes? Why would I want another box when I needed to separate both cakes on the spot when they would have done it for me right then? She gave a remark saying next time say earlier. 🙄 We don't need such attitude and bad service experiences, tyvm Clementi Chateraise.

No clear mentioned of where the queue line is when crowd is busy. Ended up having to queue again because some aunties just cut in from the side. Not the first time to see this happen.

Great cakes, terrible process. There is no queue, whoever shouts their order over display gets served first

Many varieties of Japanese cake and dessert here. Am a frequent customer of Chateraise. Some of their desserts are really good, recommend the white zebra, double fantasy puff and their fruit with fresh cream cake. Had the Mont Blanc before not to my liking. Their caramel ice cream is nice as well. Red bean ice cream is too sweet and is just like a red bean ice popsicle. Some price tags are a little steep. Always thought the system of purchasing was a little disorganised. Some people order before they queue to pay some people queue and order at the counter. Some take the frozen desserts themselves queue and order extras while paying. Just a food for thought. But nonetheless the staff are usually pretty efficient.

One of the best pastries & cakes shop. Always providing satisfying soft, smooth and delicious cakes. So far no disappointment, after several purchases.

Bought a new Vietnam coffee cream puff but there's hardly any such flavour, it should have the distinctive coffee taste. Since it's a Japanese franchise, wonder why it doesn't adopt the money receiving tray of Japanese retail stores.

When Chateraise first came to Singapore, it quickly became the favourite dessert shop for my daughter and me. We especially liked the Hokkaido milk desserts. More recently, we've been eating their other pastries and they no longer have that lightness and fresh flavours that we liked from Japanese cakes. The cream based desserts are still good but some of the localized offerings are a bit doughy and the fillings are heavy. Also their baked tarts are quite dry. Anyway, it's still good value for money but you have to pick carefully.

The variety is awesome and they always have seasonally items like Halloween and Christmas. You can be assured that the items are packaged properly, with dry ice, to maintain freshness. What I don't like about Chateraise is how creamy some of their desserts are.

The service was atrocious! The cashier on duty at 6.45 simply allowed others to cut the queue, even though there was an obvious queue, then when confronted about it the first time in english, blatantly ignored me and switched to Chinese. When I confronted her in Chinese, not only did she continue to serve the customer who had cut the queue but disregarded what I had said completely. When told off subsequently, she then began changing the topic and avoided acknowledging her error. Very disappointing service.

bought their ice cream family pack expected 15 DIFFERENT ice creams as advertised. what a shock when i opened and realised only 5 of the ice cream shown in pic were given, and 4 of them were repeated; the rest were swapped with other 'meh' flavours. staff did not bother to check/inform us. money wasted, will not patronise v dishonest *igdm them and they just 'seen' my msg, horrible service

Great selection of Hokkaido milk based cakes, pastries and ice cream. I love their Hokkaido Milk Butter ice cream. Located in the basement right beside the car park travelator. Highly recommended. 👍👍

A feasting for the tastebuds and a pleasure for the eyes. Mako San convinced me that their special Strawberry cake was baked in Japan yesterday and flown in from there this afternoon. Fluffy texture and so delicious as he claimed that they do not use a lot of flour but rather eggs. It is not overbearing of sweetness and as light as sponge. Indeed, it's a great recommendation even though it's a little more pricey than the rest. I bought a couple more interesting looking cakes and I was not disappointed at all...
