A lovely underrated speakeasy bar! It's not that straightforward to find this place if you have not been here before, so just ask the lovely hotel staff to point out the very unassuming entrance to you, or you'll be hunting for ages. This was a pretty fun place to get a cocktail! The staff are obviously very passionate with their craft. They explained the concept and the place to us as soon as we arrived. We also loved the cheeky signs and decor. I saw someone mentioning that they came here for wine and marked the place down because she thought the drinks were expensive. I mean, why would you order wine at a cocktail bar? 😅 It's like going to KFC and ordering a fish burger. That, and I think the prices are actually pretty standard for Singapore's standards. Not forgetting too, this bar is located at Orchard and inside a hotel. Of course there are way more affordable places in Singapore to get your wine fix, but paying for quality, ambience and great service comes with a higher premium, which she should understand. My friend and I ordered two cocktails each, and possibly would have gotten more if we did not just came from a lunch with wine pairing. All the drinks were tasty and presented with a quirky flair. We liked that the server explained the drinks to us when they served it. Always a sign that they take their cocktails seriously. Light bites were also decent. They gave us complimentary happy hour sliders, a gesture appreciated. Definitely coming back again. Reservations highly recommended as it's not a very big place and it can get quite crowded.

You can absolutely overlook this gem. It’s located inside the Marriott and there is absolutely no signage, you also need to push the buzzer to be let in. Now that we’ve made it inside, yes please 🥰 I was seated at a table with my name written on it in a great spot, which allowed for great people watching 🤷🏾‍♀️ (don’t judge, I like people watching). We tried several drinks and they all were very tasty. The menu gives the flavor profile and potency of each cocktail, which I absolutely appreciated. There is a minimum spend but super easy to meet with great company. If you can get a reservation, absolutely do it. Great spot, I’d return 🥰

Verdict on food items: - Grilled Halloumi & Piquillo Peppers: Didn’t realise it’d come with bread, but taste wise it was pretty disappointing - Sirloin Steak: Average tasting; didn’t like that the meat wasn’t marinated enough (because I’m a fan of marinated meat!) - Sea Urchin & Oyster Shot: Average tasting, and not worth the price I didn’t have any other food items this time round, but from previous experiences so far, I still feel that the only nice food item on the menu is the Bikini. Recommend to only come here for drinks and not dinner, as food options are limited (and not great) but the cocktails are pretty good.

Now this is a true speakeasy bar. Not easy to find, hidden behind the drapes. But after you enter, be in your own corner and secret seductive world of cocktail and whiskey. Cocktail are great, with good selection of whiskey as well. The service above all is super friendly. PS is located inside the Marriott Tang Plaza. so another plus which is convenient location.

What to say about The Other Room? This place is simply amazing! Apart from the cocktails, which are out of this world, the venue is incredible, the service outstanding and the playlist is amazing. Everything in this speakeasy bar was thought to the simplest detail and makes all the difference. Dario Knox is the mastermind responsible for the success of this gem. If you are lucky enough to be catered by him (which you probably will, as he is always around), he will select the perfect cocktail for you just with just a few hints of your likings. This is a place to go on repeat.

Tapas were good. Tried the sirloin steak, nduja which was pork bruschetta, and jalapeño sliders, plus red wine. Place is a bit hidden in the lobby of the hotel. Also friendly service.

I had a superb experience with the other room from the entrance, service, welcome, food and very tasty drinks!!! Creative, flexible, customer oriented! Totally love the experience. Meatball dish is too salty but other then that, it’s all perfect! Will recommend to others and go back again!

I love here very much.😍 Considering the feeling of customers so much, even remember my name when we leave. Definitely suggest friends to come here. Secretly located inside the grand Marriott hotel. The staff is really friendly and ur name will be written on the table when reservations is made. The cocktails are delicate crafted, felt like im tasting a creative art piece. The atmosphere is great for people to chitchat while advanturing through the different cocktails choice.

Love the vibe of this bar, friendly staff and great service! Unique cocktails and delicious bites. I find the bar slightly warm, music was a little too loud and there's a lamp that brightens once in awhile (I believe that could be someone pressing the doorbell). But it went too bright and I felt a little discomfort.

Located inside the Marriott lobby, this speakeasy was a fascinating post dinner excursion. We did not have reservations but luckily got there early enough to secure seats at the bar. I would say sitting at the bar is the best spot as you can view the gamut of house-finished liquors as well as see the bartenders at work. We were greeted with our names written in our seats which was a nice touch along with a complimentary cocktail sample. My friend and I each ordered two cocktails. I ordered the Islay Gin & Tonic and the All About the Basil. The Islay Gin & Tonic definitely is a drink that you experience through smell first from the rosemary smoke. I would say the All About the Basil was my favourite of the two being extremely refreshing and herbaceous.

The Other Room, Marriott Orchard: The Other Room, the other era. Once upon a time years back, I was here when doors were first thrown open. One of the most exciting hidden speakeasies, it’s lost its charm slightly. The chassis is still sleek - the mega-watt blown-out lit bar bathed in glorious electric orange. Old browned pages of books torn off plaster the roof, a black and white film silently projected near the entrance. Your name is territorially scribbled across the table. Cocktails are beautiful and I guess what didn’t agree was the crowd. A strange hodgepodge of elderlies and drunk mainland Chinese tacky-dancing are not my speakeasy night out fun definition. It is after all out of the establishment’s control. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Side dish mediocre. But I want to talk more about the cocktails. Have ordered nine cocktails in total and have to admit it is below our expectation. The old fashioned is overwhelmed with smokiness and it is hard to taste the bitter and sugar. About the others, the texture of the flavour is missing and may need to fine tune the recipe a bit to make either the floral or coconut more smooth. Anyway, the atmosphere is super great. Same goes for the decoration and concept.

Honestly have never felt so welcome! The service was super b!!! As soon as you walk in your name is written on the table, joined by a free welcome shot, and an explanation of the menu and special monthly drink. The Octopus was SO good along with the brushetta. And every drink left us with no regrets. My favorite was the "life is a beach", both fruity and instagramable! Staff was super informative and always attentive. They also ended with a free goodbye shot. AMAZING. Thank you for the great night! I'll definitely be back!

We ordered a total of 8 cocktails and a bottle of wine with our total coming up to $385 (after tax) MY FAVORITES! 💗🍸 01 Poolside Swizzle | $28 — This was sweet & tangy, I love how much effort they put in displaying the drink. 02 Love is in the air | $24 — Sweet and such an adorable display too! This is perfect for the birthday girl/boy cause it comes with a airplane tix with their name & date (great for keeping as a little souvenir) TO AVOID — If you're not a fan of strong flavours! 01 La Louisiana | $26 — One of the strongest drink (they'll show you on the menu for every drink 😉) This taste like straight up whiskey. 02 Old Cuban | $24 — Smoky and bitter (it smells like cigars 😭 tbh) But im sure if you're abit older you would 100% enjoy this 😃 So we did a walk in on a Saturday around 10PM and we're surprised they have seats! You can make a reservation online but do take note there's a holding charge. This is the perfect place for after dinner drinks!

I spent a good 10 minutes walking around the hotel trying to find this bar. A small, comfortable bar with great vibes and cocktails. Bartenders and waiters are extremely attentive and will assist you in getting a drink you'll like. Drinks are made with flair and panache, well mixed and are delicious.

A very nice hidden bar in the lobby of the Marriott - the bar is hidden so you need to find the door first and ring the bell to get access. Once inside you are transformed into a different world - very welcoming friendly staff greet and seat you and then your on your journey through the years of cocktails, lots to choose from plus heaps of different infused spirits - it’s no surprise it’s in the top 50 bars in Asia - it is a must visit when in the area, won’t be disappointed!

What a hidden gem in the hotel itself. The entrance itself is hidden, making the place a lil secretive and cozy. Once u enter, the ambience, decor and lighting will warm you up right away. What's even better is the service you will get is top class. What gin and whisky drinks u want or never heard of, they got it. Priced reasonably for such a location but I did see a sign whereby it stated that ladies get free champagne if they were topless tho. Dont know the authenticity of that as there weren't any ladies dressed as such 🤭

It is a fun experience at this bar, somewhat hidden in the hotel, interesting theme and they have some old whiskeys that you can try, brings u into a different setting. Very detailed introduction to whiskeys and great hospitality from everyone.

Lovely experience. We went on a weekday and had no reservations but was able to get a seat fairly easily. Reservations are recommended though. Drinks options were plentiful, servers were friendly and courteous.

Great bar. Totally worth a visit - or really, more than one visit. Lots of interesting and well-considered cocktails on the menu. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You wouldn't generally expect a slightly edgy speakeasy in the lobby of a Marriott hotel, but they've done it and made it work. Reservations are recommended, but you might be able to walk up particularly in the early hours or on quieter days.

Great little hidden jem where you least expect it in the Marriott Tang lobby behind what looks like a service door. Bespoke liquors and period based mixology drinks. Impressive find in the middle of Orchard road shopping craziness.

Wonderful speakeasy - little warm and hard to talk over the crowd that was there, but the waiting staff were great and made good recommendations. I had the Sherry Daiquiri ($23) which was a pleasantly refreshing cocktail, a tinge of sour without being tart. Around the table we had Guilty Pleasure ($22) which was a nice dessert cocktail, creamy and smooth. The Peachy Keen ($23) was a tad too sweet, almost like syrup with alcohol, but might be good with people who like something sweet and fruity. “Of Malt and Men” ($25) is really heavy on the smoky smell (infused with cigar smoke).

One of numerous half-hidden bars in Singapore. This one behind a black door with a doorknob (but with a half broken button) on the left hand side when standing facing the reception. Nicely designed place with comfortable seats and just the right level of loud music to enable talking. Service was very good, knowledgeable, fast and friendly. Nice touch with small free drink when sitting down as well as some small snacks on the table (that were refilled all the time once finished) Extensive cocktail list divided by time period it was invented. The cocktails are innovative takes on existing cocktails and all the ones I had here have been ranging from good to very good. Price level is more at the higher end of the cocktail bars but not expensive as such. Cocktails are as mentioned good but not exceptional and despite trying more than a handful cocktails I have never been surprised or blown away. Still a solid choice and I happily visit when I am in the Orchard area and in the mood for cocktails.

One of the best bars in Singapore and Asia. Bring your friends here, they will thank you. It's always fun to grab a drink here. Very cozy. Very stylish. Have I mentioned they age their own spirits? Not to mention the extraordinary creative cocktails.

We stayed at the Marriot last weekend and googled places to go in the evening, first thing that came up was ‘The Other Room’ which was listed as being attached to the Marriott lobby, we had no idea there was a cocktail bar in the reception lobby until researching where to find it. We finally found the big black door, we couldn’t hear any music or noise, I gave the door a knock and Cairo popped his head out and pulled us in, we didn’t have a reservation but he found a space for us, after our first cocktail we were given to seat at the bar where we drank a further 3 or 4 cocktails then we were moved on to a round a table to carry on enjoying our evening, such great cocktails. Even when there not on the menu the guys will make you whatever you ask for! Cai was a great server being very attentive and remembering our names throughout the night I would also recommend the steak, it’s so juicy! If you are in Singapore staying along Orchard Road this drinking house is a must!

Wonderful speakeasy inside the Marriott tang plaza hotel. It's hard to find the entrance until you see you're not the only people searching for this gem. It's a prohibition period themed bar and a great place to bring a date. Service is attentive and our server made it a great time for us. I had two sake cocktails because they were so good

Absolutely Sensational!!! After 3 weeks in Singapore bar hoping around my partner and I place this bar in a tie for our favourite pick. An exquisite cocktail list where even a day after I am still savouring on my palate and thought the Sherry Cask Fashioned and the bikini sandwich- well YUM! To the ‘Old Aunty’ who ushered us in and helped beyond just choosing drinks... thank you sooo much for adding extra zazzle and flair to our evening!

Old Cuban: 5 stars Monkey Collins: 5 stars Refreshing twist on G&T. Between the Asian Sheets: 5 stars Reversed Gin & Tonic: 4 stars A bit too spicy / bitter for me, but seems to be the most popular drink here.

Really nice concept - a speakeasy inside Marriott hotel. Service was excellent, and we had an awesome time here chatting with friends and partners. Particularly liked the selection of old fashioned here, with a different twist. Prices are standard as you would expect from a cocktail bar. Would recommend hanging out for a drink or 2 before heading for round 2/3 but probably not a place you would stay for too long.
