Have been here on about half a dozen occasions. It's always a perfect dining experience. Décor in the main room is classic without being tacky. Food was perfectly executed, with flavors, presentation, and price all on point — their soups in particular are spectacular. Despite the small size of the 2 dining rooms the service remains relatively attentive even with a full house. Usually quiet for lunch during the week, but gets quite busy at night especially during the weekend. Only minor critical remarks I can give are (1) cocktails are so-so; (2) the area by the indoor corner seats near the entrance can get very dark at night – makes it hard to read the menu and visually enjoy the food.

This speakeasy bar is a vibe, hidden away in a corner of Dempsey. The indoor dining area is lovely - plush seats, charming decor with soft Chinese oldies playing in the background. Service from staff is warm, takes really nice photos (which is quite hard to come by 😄). Most of the food and drinks are outstanding - we esp enjoyed the whiskey xiao long baos and carrot cake (must order!).The complimentary 寿桃🍑 was a nice touch to celebrate hub’s birthday. Highly recommend this place!

Had a really pleasant lunch experience! Love the ambience, decor and even the choice of music. The food menu is pretty extensive and we were spoilt for choice! Tried a few items and we definitely left satisfied. They have whisky xiaolongbaos on the menu, novel idea but waaaay too strong for my taste. Definitely still an interesting choice for some! My personal favourite was their double boiled soup with wantons - so comforting and good.

Wow the xo carrot cake was the true star of the show! Came here for lunch, and despite there being 3 other small groups and 1 large group in the shop, the only one single Indian waiter serving was so quick and efficient, didn't feel understaffed at all - very quick and good service. The siew Mai and xo carrot cake was amazing among what we ordered. We've tried a few dim sum places within this price range and this is definitely up there. We loved the atmosphere as well, they played old 50s Chinese music which set the tone beautifully. We will definitely be back again, maybe try cocktails next time.

Amazing Chinese cuisine. Whiskey XLBs have fragrant whiskey after taste. Their wanton soup with Nu Er Hong has crab collagen broth taste. All other food was really nice!

Was brought here for dinner. Cosy atmosphere and good selection of Chinese menu. One note is that the corkage per bottle is $100

Nice place for a afternoon cocktail as it is quiet and offers nice snacks to go with the drinks. Mala popcorn chicken is delicious (but spicy!!). Carrot cake is also delicious as is the salted egg custard buns.

Great cozy place for wine tasting and friends gathering. They serve unique combinations of wine and food, whiskey Xiao long Bao, Wonton dumplings soup & Premium Nu Er Hong. They serve mala dishes and Szechuan chicken and other Chinese dishes. They also have a wide range of selection from red wine to Chinese wine. Recommend for late night drinking place.

Very interesting ancient China decor. Very attentive and amicable service. Love its interior decoration especially the lanterns. The food is very scrumptious. The carrot cake is a must try. The variety of alcohol is astounding and the cocktails are really good. Truly enjoyed the tranquility of the restaurant.

Jiu Zhuang, Dempsey: Sitting amongst the highly advertised restaurants and cafes well-oiled by marketing machines is Jiu Zhuang. It’s tucked in the corner of Chinese quarter of Chinese eateries like Min Jiang. It’s a small unassuming house with oriental touches. You’re whisked back in time to the 50s with Shanghai Tang vibes. The wood works are old but charming. The oriental styling. endearing. The most arresting piece is the bar. It was a dry evening for us and we had the yuzu honey tea which was knockout. Mala fish, fried mushroom were good. As I’m pescatarian, I didn’t ’t go for the drunken chicken and the papaya with dried shrimp didn’t appeal to me. I wished I had the house specialty of carrot cake but we had too much food. It’s a popular albeit small spot. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Love the vibes of this bar! Brought my wife for our anniversary with our 2 year old son. The BGM created a cosy and chilled environment for our dinner. Thanks to the service staff whom prompted us when we ordered too many dishes 😂 Did not order alcoholic beverages as we were driving and had their Pu Er instead. Fragrant and subtle without aftertaste. For their food; the show stealer amongst our order would be the Teochew Braised Duck, Ngor Hiang and XO carrot cake.

Great food and drink with a nice outdoor space. Some of the best xiao long bao I’ve ever had and the carrot cake dish was amazing too! So common to find places that make these dishes but not like the way they make it here. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends or coworkers to try more food and drinks.

An ancient chinese style bar with a wide range of alcoholic drinks and food infused with alcohol. Personally love the whisky-infused xiao long bao, and the xo sauce carrot cake. Especially for the xiao long bao, I could vividly taste the whisky content, which is a +++. The la zi ji and chao ta bee hoon were a little subpar if we compare them to authentic sichuan restaurant and singapore zi char respectively. The bee hoon could be less wet and that will blend well with the fried portion of the dish. Wok hei is lacking too. Would have been a 3 star but the excellent service and unique ambience save the day.

Food was pretty average, spicy fried chicken and carrot cake was good. Drunken chicken and whiskey xlb was a little weird - felt like it wasn’t a good combination. Ambience and space/decor was really cute and the restaurant is tucked away in a quiet area. Staff were mostly speaking mandarin and they missed out 2 of our orders (one small dish and one main/carbs), we ended up not trying the 2 dishes since it was already getting late. Cocktail selection wasn’t extensive but they have other alcohol options to choose from. Would come back for chill drinks and ambience but unlikely to come back for the food.

Was abit skeptical about their cocktails when I read the reviews. And they were right. Had the negroni, and it was probably one of the worst tasting ones. Mixed like those cheap 1 for 1 cocktail HH promo. Skip the cocktail. The food is surprisingly good after having tasted the cocktails. Siew Mai was one of the best I had, to my liking. The crispy fried beehoon didn't had a good wokhey flavor but it was surely crispy. Overall the small high tea we had was enjoyable. The decor was on point. It was one of the best decorated ancient Chinese themed restaurants. Even the toilet stuck to the theme. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the food. And perhaps stick to straight up/on the rocks drinks.

Unbelievably oriental. A travel back in time to experience the likes of a majestic dynasty of the Chinese with extremely good food. Seating arrangement is decent and conversations can be heard from other tables so if you are steering towards an intimate date, find another. But if you like to add a nice collection of different themed restaurants to your endeavour, here's one to go to. Price is on the higher side but its uniqueness and ambience more than offsets the financial shedding. But well... there is no price too high for scarcity. Be here once and you'd be back again.

Authentic Chinese style bar. I really enjoyed the moment with my husband on his birthday. Good service and good food and a lot of types of drinks. Good for Wedding, birthday or anniversary for adults. Not with kids or family use. If you are a rich person just order whatever you want. But if you are a normal type of person, see the price of drinks well. Easy to hit $1000 Hehe. We spent $200 for 3 dishes and 4 drinks and 1 dessert for 2 people.

Was at 酒庄 back in march. First thing the place gives off a nostalgic vibe. Nice music, service was good. The waiters were humourous and entertaining, my parents were well entertained. Food wise could be a little salty. Drinks were acceptable Other than that, its a chill place to relax for a meal.
