Third time’s the charm, but definitely not in this instance. I had 2 great experiences at YOUNG’S and was excited to bring my family along, but it wasn’t great. In fact, it was pretty bad. There’s a lot to say, but I’m just going to list what went wrong during our lunch: 1. Portion size for the calamari was sad—3 pieces. I understand that it’s a set lunch, but I’d rather them not include a starter at all if it’s of this size and quality. 2. Sea bass was tiny. 3. Bolognese was wet (read: diluted) and sorely overcooked. Softest pasta I’ve ever had. 4. Pizza (is it a pizza? It was super thin and small…) took an hour to arrive. 5. Beef burger (a la carte) had a piece of stone/bone/plastic(?) in it that hurt my tooth. Sent it back to the kitchen. They swapped it for a steak instead, which I appreciate! 6. Place is understaffed (definitely not the servers’ fault, but if speed is an issue for you, maybe this place isn’t for you). 7. Weren’t given enough serviettes. Many diners also ended up serving themselves water. 8. We were asked if our previous dinner (I’ve visited for both lunch and dinner) was a better experience than today’s lunch—but both my previous experiences were good. We were told that dinner is usually much enjoyable… but why is that the case? Does this mean less care is given during set lunch? I’d rather them not offer set lunch at all, then… Anyway, once bitten, twice shy. Won’t be coming here again. Pity because the location is nice.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Almost like a local version of those restaurants in Dempsey. Quite out of place but a nice trip to nowhere. Food is not too bad and good selection of bar drinks. The price for s slightly on the high side but it is expected for its unique location. Overall, I feel the brunt of the bill but had a good time. The corkage price is high at $40. Perhaps they should give some leeway as the bottle of wine we ordered there cost $40 too. There are still some room for improvement.

Not bad of a place. Pretty chill vibes. Went there on Good Friday without any reservation. Thankful there were outdoor seats. Had brunch food - wanted to try the rosti but was told it wasn’t available so we ordered a pizza to share. All the mains and sides came shortly after we ordered, but the pizza took really long. Literally after we finished our brunch food. It would have been much better if it was serve together. Wouldn’t mind a short wait but that was really a tad too long.

Reservations are always recommended here as most of the time you have to wait long time for seats. The place is very quiet and peaceful. We visited on Thursday and they have live music on those days. Songs sung by the artists will make you either show your moves or sing along. Besides this, we ordered thick cut fries (truffle) along with Salmon Dill Rillette which is basically cooked salmon with sour cream, cream cheese and few more ingredients, tasted well with the garlic toast. For main dish we got spicy pulled pork pizza and lobster risotto. Risotto was delicious with fragrant lobster flavour. Risotto rice was cooked well too. Pork in the pizza was amazing, the sweet and spice proportion was well balanced. Long island iced tea and Youngs 75 were added to the party. Cheers :)

First visit. Salad and pasta were ok. Coffee too sweet, cakes very dry. Nice ambience and not crowded on a weekday lunch. Great place for catch up with friends cos of the comfortable seats.

Visited for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Service staff are generally very nice and make you feel welcome, especially Sharon. The food was good and the bonus for that night was the live band! Back to pre-covid atmosphere. Will be coming back again.

Food is well done and nicely presented. Would recommend to try the bacon & egg pizza. For the mussel, i didn't really enjoy it as i prefer those kind of baked mussel but hubby and mother enjoyed it even the soup. The toast that came with the mussel is surprisingly so good, toasted yet soft. For the drinks, we had cappuccino and cranberry juice. Coffee intensity is just nice and the foam texture is thick. Staff are friendly and very attentive, making sure we had the right plates and bowls for sharing and changed our cutleries too. Thanks to the short hair lady. Location wise - if driving, there's enough parking space with few steps away from the restaurant. If taking bus, bus stop is also just a few steps away too. It's pet friendly but make sure to do reservation if coming with furkids. Would be a plus if they provide bowl of water for dog and a menu for them :)

Had a great time celebrating my son’s birthday here. Food and service were excellent . I loved the 3 meat platter, the meat were soft and succulent. Thoroughly enjoyed the music and ambience too. Experience would have been impeccable if the aircon was colder...the aircon was malfunctioning according to the staff. Will come back again nonetheless.

Went there with friends after friend’s wedding to chill up. We didn’t ordered any foods but only beers and tea. The atmosphere is awesome and peace. The staff there were so friendly! Unfortunately got to leave before even the live band started. Definitely will go back again with friends to enjoy their beers and live bands!

I love the ambience and it's a great place to chill and relax. The duo of Tokyo Square performing that night transported me back to good memories of the 80's. Service is friendly and helpful. The bar food portions are quite decent sized so don't over order. Food quality is above average.

Food was hit and miss. Pizzas were decent, but more like flatbread than proper pizza. Truffle fries were your usual run of the mill fries, difficult to mess up. Duck breast was terribly tough, sauce flavours were neither here nor there. The mushroom stuffed chicken was more like a deep fried chicken burrito wrap. Service and sense didn't seem to exist here either. Service tried their best, but mostly seemed inexperienced.

The meat platter of $68 has pork sausage and crispy pork knuckles. Service is good and live music start 7.30pm is not overly noisy. Chill place. Will be back. A bottle of wine is @$60.

The whole experience from start to finish is awesome. A rainy evening...we were warmed up by Cecilia and Lucas's top notched service. The tenderloin was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Best dish of the night was the 700g lovely pot of blue mussels which tasted naturally sweet, plump, and we love the satisfying chew. Dipped the toasted bread into the white wine broth. The impossible burger held much higher sodium content though. Nevertheless.. come hungry and feast on mouth-watering creations. Night ended with lots laughter as Lucas graciously created a complimentary anniversary tiramisu cake for my parents. 😇🥰 Amazingly, they love the feel of being indoor & listening to the songs by the live band.

Had possibly one of the best aglio olio very savoury and seasoned perfectly, service here is immaculate especially from Ceci ;) feels like a second home. The atmosphere is undefeated, best if you want a getaway from the hustle and bustle of life! Live band with the good ol classics, what more can you ask for 😌

Love the chill beer, the truffle fries and fried chicken. This is really the 1 pint of beer which some outlet does not meet up to the 1 pint. A good place to chillax. Should consider a place for the cyclists to place their bike.

Came here for family member’s wedding proposal and had a great yummy dinner. We highly recommend the mussels pot and the ribs which are the most worthy in terms of value for money! Duck confit is not bad too. The live band allows songs to be selected too. Overall nice hangout in a quieter part of Singapore.

We celebrated my early BD here, as my son and his family are flying off soon. We had a really great time. The service was outstanding...the best I've had in a long time. The staff went the extra mile to serve, unlike many places where it's perfunctory service. Food was satisfying as well.

This place is awesome. A hidden bar in Singapore. The food is tasty, very special. The environment is great, lots of greenery and such a romantic place. Special commendation to Cecilia, she is truly wonderful caring attentive and courteous towards customer's needs. Thanks to Cecilia.

Had our 3 course set lunch on 27 Dec. Outdoor ambience was lovely and food was average. We didn't finish our main course & dessert. Leek soup was bland and the desserts were awful.

Came here without reservations and is fortunate that they still have a small table available. As we were not so hungry, we order the platter for sharing, the food is good, the small shrimps are sweet and tasty, truffle fries is average and a bit soggy, fried chicken wings is crispy. Service is good but I think the are under stuff for a Friday, some of them look stress out and unhappy but nonetheless they still try their best to serve. It’s a good place to chill with friends. Overall a good experience and will definitely come back for their main course. Thank you

Great embience. Nice alfresco, place is cool (with breeze and fans) even on Sunny day. Nice place to hang out. Have coffee. Set lunch is affordable reasonable. Taste average and below. Bikers to note, you are not allowed to bring your bike in and need to lock it somewhere (nearest is abt 10m away).

Great start to the year. Spent our New Year s Day brunch at Youngs and we were pleasantly surprised by their delectable food - especially the pulled pork pizza and molten lava cake.🤤😍Nice and laid back - countryside-ish kinda ambience. Will return soon to try their dinner menu.

Seafood grill on the weekends not to be missed. Excellent food and sufficient variety of Western style cuisine for a satisfying dinner. I made reservations earlier at the outdoor area which is a good choice. The place is windy and the live band started around 7.30 till 8.30pm. I enjoyed dining here, the service crew is quite understandably overwhelmed by the surprisingly large crowd. I recommend visiting this restaurant for a good weekend nights out.

Love the food and ambience there. However, just don't get the platter - truffle fries, nacho chips, wings etc. Forgot the exact name but think it's a $30 platter cause the food were cold when we had them and wasn't nice. We ordered the food items individually another time and they were great.

Nice bar restaurant tucked away in a quaint neighbourhood. If you love colonial buildings like I do, you will surely love hanging with your friends and loved ones over here. Do check out their Gold Tier Membership that comes with loads of perks. Staff are friendly and the food is tasty as well. Come by for their brunch over the weekends and on public holidays!

Pretty decent food with nice vibes and a live band. Outside seating is great but gotta check the westher first or come at night when it's cooler. There's a membership program that gets you free nachos if you sign up and a gold membership that gives you enough perks to make your 107 sign up fee worth it. 100$ voucher up front. Was really debating with my friend if we should get it. Leaning towards a yes but probably on our next visit.

Service was really slow, could see the lack of manpower. They are lucky to have a friendly hardworking manager running the entire place, from table seating to serving. Puspa was patient yet efficient in waiting everyone, kuddos to him! Overall ambience is good with live band, good music good food good drinks

My friend ordered a steak with medium well but it is cooked medium. When we feedback, the steak is bought back and recook. We strongly believed it should come with a new steak instead. However overall it is a good experience with good customer service.

Service and ambience was excellent!! But was a little disappointed by the food ): was good but not great. Felt that the brunch menu was quite limited. Personally i liked the pancakes but we all agreed that the fried whitebait was the best.

Incredible, picturesque location. YOUNGS has been one of the better restaurants I’ve been too. For the record, I came on Valentine’s Day. Firstly, the service was absolutely amazing. The crew seated us promptly and even brought another chair for us to settle our belongings on our behalf without us ever asking. It seemed like everyone was genuinely happy to work there, which is a bonus for me :) Secondly, the food was great! I ordered the seafood marinara ($24) which came with a generous portion of salmon chunks, clams and prawns. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente! The Hawaiian Pizza ($19) was nice but more tomato sauce could be added. The cajun chicken wings were great, even to someone like me who typically hates crispy fried chicken. Tiramisu was made with fresh and light cream that was all too delicious, topped off with cocoa powder. Wine was pretty decent too. Lastly, I would like to say I thoroughly enjoyed the Live Band duet that night. They sang with passion and presented themselves well. I later came to find out that they were a local band (Singapore Char Siew Baos), bravo! Overall, an amazing experience! Although drinks were slightly slow, I understand that it was probably rather hectic for the bar that night :). Impeccable service and ambience, coupled with great food at an affordable price point!

If possible, I would give 3.5 stars. Food was alright, didn’t like the duck though. Would be good if the nachos are not just off the pack, served with basic dressing. They do serve cocktail as well. Prices were alright as well. Not too crazy. Overall service was acceptable, with only 2 or so staff being more enthusiastic. A little noisy. Can come with family.

Food Was So So Level. No Exceptional Recommendations To The Dishes. Steak Was Overdone. Ribs Can Be Better. Chicken Dry And Tough. But The Server Was Nice And Friendly, Providing Warming And Proactive Service Throughout The Evening.

The atmosphere was chill and the staff was friendly. However, the food was definitely very average. For the price, it wasn't that great if not for the chill location. Had the Octoberfest platter and the portion was rather small. All the food was also really just battered up and fried.

Went on a Saturday evening with my dog. It is a pet friendly place with outdoor sheltered area seating for people with pet. There was live band but it wasn’t that noisy, still able to talk. Food and price were pretty reasonable. Ordered the onion ring, tenderloin steak and pulled pork pizza and they were pretty good for the price. Alcohol atad expensive.
