This is a nice science museum to learn more about the initiatives Singapore has taken towards sustainability. The museum is well done and uses a lot of different multimedia approaches (video, photos, words, hands-on engagement, live demonstrations). I booked a free tour and our guide was very knowledgable and did a great job of engaging all participants in our group, ranging from young children to older adults. Would definitely recommend this to families or adults who are interested in learning more!

Really informative and well put together exhibition, kept my 4 year old and myself entertained and informed with plenty of interactive stations. The view from the roof was fantastic and would pack a picnic next time to enjoy up there. Very impressive free exhibition.

Amazing exhibition! Unfortunately due to Covid only 1h guided tours were allowed and visitors are advised to not touch anything and let the guide explain and demonstrate everything. George did an amazing job, thanks so much! In the future when people are allowed to walk around freely and explore the exhibition on their own, you can easily spend half a day there. A lot to learn and to play with around sustainable topics, like water, greenery, recycling and how to reduce and reuse valuable goods.

I joined a tour guided by Mr. Fin at the exhibition, and it was an enlightening experience. Mr. Fin's knowledge was impressive, and he adeptly shared valuable information with us, using simple language for better understanding. The exhibition, spanning six zones, provided a comprehensive insight into the government's initiatives and future plans. It effectively conveyed what residents in Singapore can contribute to building a better and sustainable living environment. Overall, the exhibition was not only educational but also empowering, highlighting the collective role we play in shaping the future. Highly recommend for those keen on understanding and actively participating in Singapore's sustainability efforts.

The gallery is free of charge, with educational and interative details of the past, present and future of sustainability of Singapore. I'm very impressed by the gallery, especially the internal design of the whole gallery. This place is definitely for environment lovers of all ages.

Best place to understand Sustainable Singapore and it's free. Best not to come at 5pm as closing time is 6pm. Book your free guided tour online. Also don't missed the Marina Barrage creating 3 benefits for Singapore. See the model for demonstration of the operation. Catch Bus 400 or walk from nearby Garden By The Bay.

We went on the 1-hour guided tour by Ms Sheena and she provided an informative and educational commentary on how Singapore is adopting sustainable policies and practices in the past and future. The exhibits were visually interesting and well maintained. Recommended.

A very succinct gallery with theme of sustainability in Singapore and not only on the Marina Barrage. It is comprehensive ! Here, you will learn about the sustainability initiatives that Singapore has undertaken throughout the years on waste management and climate action plan. The most memorable artefact has to be the porcelain figurine that was presented to the long time economic adviser of Singapore Albert Winsemius when he lost the wager with Lee Kuan Yew. Mr. Winsemius thought that the Singapore River was beyond redemption and wanted to convert it into a closed sewer. Mr. Lee refused to admit defeat and went on a 10 year clean up effort to rejuvenate the river. In 1993, a grouper was caught in the river and the porcelain figure was given to Mr. Winsemius as a momento. There are guided tours here everyday hourly (except on Tuesdays where they are closed). Do remember to register online at their website for the tour ! For daily updates on Singapore heritage and stories, please follow me on Instagram (@heristage) and Facebook (@heristagesg)!

The free tour that we signed up for online of Marina Barrage includes a tour of the Sustainable Singapore Gallery as well. The exhibits and panels were informative, and perfect for those who want to learn more about Singapore’s efforts at tackling climate change. Our guide was very knowledgeable too.

Perfect place to learn how Singapore built a sustainable country. A lot of action done with future perspective. Inspiring on how they realize the threat coming and taking concrete action to prevent it.

A must visit for the family. Book your time slots in good time, no entrance fees. The terrace is a great place to fly kites & picnic in the evening with family & friends as the sun sets.

Highly recommended to book a guided tour for free. The aunty was so informative and friendly, you would feel entertained while gaining more knowledge and self awareness of sustainability. Passed by this area a few times but didn't notice there was such a big gallery here. Glad that it's part of the angpao event otherwise I would have missed out on such a chance to explore this gallery.

Great museum not only aesthetically but also informatively, can highly recommend! However, if you are familiar with the subject of sustainability, you will find some “editorial missing information” about what is not working well in Singapore or which areas of sustainability are not yet been tackled, e.g. the focus on reduce instead of recycle / biodegradable plastic … which would be a wholistic approach to sustainable urban development. I would therefore propose to also include an exhibition with focus on the things that are not yet achieved or that could be done to further improve real sustainability and not a good looking / technologically advanced version of it. That way, everyone can learn even more from Singapores great concepts.

Superb exhibition center for sustainability. The whole history of the Singapore water supply and into the future is in this facility. The guides are polite and knowledgable plus friendly with feedback. The tour easily take about 5/6 hours, if you want to go deep understanding, you can spend three days to learn aboit the water issue in Singapore. Overall a good place yo visit.

Very educational and great for kids, particularly enjoyed the animated videos. Would have really liked it if the display outside the gallery on the pump system was working! Also, it seems like you need to sign up for the guided tour in order to access the gallery, which seems slightly unnecessary.
