Amazing food … and super nice staff!!! Most Indian food which I had tried before were very heavy to me but I don’t feel any heavy or greasy out of here’s food. Especially the bean salad was amazing which was very refreshing. I know the signature dish here is coconut curry but I can say the bean salad should be signature dish here!!!

Very tasteful food. They take a long time to bring your order but it's worth it. Do try the variety of fish dishes there, they are very delicious. It's usually busy with lot of people dining in especially during dinner time. Had a second visit to this place again, and great food again. Every dish tastes unique and is very authentic! Staff is nice and friendly! Take away available and they are on food delivery apps too!! Must try place for some awesome bengali food !

Service was great, they were very helpful and friendly even though it was busy Saturday night and we had no reservation. Food was AMAZING. All of them are succulent, full of flavour, and very well made. Price is a bit on the high side - a portion of rice for 6bucks and small portion of butter chicken for 18bucks (ooff). But, we left with satisfied, full tummy. Also with the attention to details that they have - high quality cutlery & crockery, warmed plates, and the service. It's justifiable.

My first time here and I wanted to like it but I didn't enjoy it very much. These were all recommendations by the staff. The murraya fish was too salty and uninteresting, though was well cooked. The kosha mangsho mutton dish was competent but nothing to shout about. The chochori veg dish was the best, very interesting spices but also very heavy on the salt. There was a biscuit-like element, I think it's made of lentils, I've never had that before and I quite enjoyed it. The naan was rather burned too, on the underside, so it was bitter. The mango lassi was very good though. The ambience is lovely, very cosy and elegant. Service is spotty - can be quite curt. We provided feedback on a dish and the staff didn't seem concerned about it, so I decided there wasn't any point going over my laundry list of feedback. If the food was good, I could overlook some things but the execution was not, and service was patchy.

First time visited this restaurant and the food was so tasty and the meat was soft and tender. Curry spiciness just nice. Great North Indian food so far.

Located in the Little India neighborhood. This restaurant has friendly staff, of which unfortunately not everyone speaks English. Food menu is extensive and you don't have to wait very long on your food. Not everything was of my personal taste, but I am sure the food was nice. Also enough dessert choices and even typical Indian drinks. Do note that the air conditioning is very cold here, somewhat too cold (heard the same thing from a co-worker who visited earlier).

Welcome to delightful India right in the middle of Singapore. Located in Race Course road and in the vicinity of Little India this place screams authenticity. The quaint place had nice decor and a good vibe. We had the butter chicken, lady finger vegetable curry, fish tikka, garlic and cheese Naan as well as a starter which was a flatbread filled with a spinach style filling and a curry on the side to dip the bread. For drinks we had a mango lassi and lime juice. Everything was delicious and the service was delightful and friendly. Recommended to make a reservation as it got quite busy on a Thursday evening.

Extremely slow service. After 1h from opening, food for first table customer was served. They reserve table but table can be empty for 1.5 hours. Don know how they make business like that. Visitors are mostly non locals. Shop has some flies flying around. Food wise , quite decent. I like the curry in coconut. Potato balls were served quite cold… naan is overpriced. Mutton is ok , a lot meat but taste like the Chinese skewers. Masala tea tasted like an instant tea rather than brewed for sometime… Overall the slow service is turn off , I think there are better restaurants

Excellent food!! Hardly to find good Indian that, once eaten, u can taste fresh variety of spices. Not just taste of strong curry paste. Love tomato paneer and tikka. The roti and nan were really nice.

29/09/22 We ate there after watching the YouTube video by "Strictly Dumpling". The breaded fish, coconut prawn curry and nans were gorgeous (you'll need one each). Its a bit expensive but hey, your in Singapore ;-)

Excellent dinner at Mustard on Race Course Rd. Restaurant is small and intimate and service is excellent and attentive. They have a huge menu with tons of choices so we ordered way too much to try many things. Everything was wonderful but especially recommend the house special Chingri Maacher Malai, the Aloo Jhuri, Mutton Biryani and the kathi kababs.

Nice food, good service. Had a quick lunch with my son and we liked it. It’s a small restaurant which can be packed so better book your table in advance. Tandoori and butter chicken was particularly good, rice wasn’t amazing and plain naan as well. But we enjoyed our meal and that’s the most important. Many locals but also some tourists come here for dine in. Thank you.

It’s decent food. Quite unique dishes. However flavors could have been more pronounced. I came out being satisfied, but didn’t take home any fond memories. Nothing drew me enough to want to come back to this place. Hence, the 4 star review.

Went on a Sunday lunch. No so crowded. There are 4 things that I recommend to order if you are here first time. Damodar chingri (prawn curry in coconut), Tawa Jhinga (prawn appetizer), Mustard special chicken curry and Mango matka kulfi (ice cream). Just felt that the masala chai here all of us felt overpowering in the taste.

Food is too salty for flavorful Indian cuisine. When food is properly cooked, will not need this much salt to ‘enhance’ the flavor. We were told there will be 45 min allocated for dinning in. We were like totally fine as a quick dinner works too. Who knows just waiting for the food took 45 min?! I understand restaurants like to manage expectations so that customers just eat and leave ASAP and there will be more time for another round of customers… not in this restaurant. If we were told food takes 30 min to prepare and we will be fine as well. We heard the deliveries bikers complained about waiting over an hour for their deliveries.

Excellent food! We arrived at opening at 11:30 specifically bent on enjoying authentic Bengali food—we left satisfied and glad we came early! The waiters are able to make excellent recommendations. We opted to go straight for mains: - Kosha Mangsho: tender chunks of mutton in a fantastic thicker gravy - Chingri Maacher Malai Curry: delicate shrimp and coconut curry presented in a tender coconut - Maacher Paturi: boneless fish fillet smothered in mustard, gently steamed in a banana leaf Rice bread does not come with each main, and does require separate purchasing. We opted for: - Luchi: aka puri, lightly fried and crisp - Roomali Roti: one roti is rather large, and folded in on itself; delicate with a great chew - Plain white rice For dessert, we enjoyed Rossomalai (aka Rasmalai), a dessert in most areas of India, but theirs is fragrant and richly flavored with cardamom, almonds, and cream. All in all, a fantastic visit for those who enjoy Indian food and are looking for something different than what most restaurants serve. They do include Punjabi items in their menu, which is typically what most people think of when they think “Indian,” but venturing off to possibly “unfamiliar” dishes won’t disappoint!

We went here with a Bengali colleague and had a fantastic time. The food was great, service was attentive. It seems like their Bengali selection is better than the Punjabi's. Be sure to get their mustard sauce /dip for any snacks you order. It's the bomb!

The food here is fantastic! The dal tadka is a must order. It is packed with flavour! It is so good that it overshadowed all the food that we ordered. The kosha mangsho which is a mutton curry is good too. The plain naan has a nice charcoal smell. The sweet lassi is good, tangy and yet not too sweet.

Super tasty, loved the chicken biryani, garlic naan, and the mutton the most. The Malaysian curry in the coconut was kind of meh. Recommending this place for sure. Food is a touch heavy but I still think it’s worth going to eat. Definitely coming back.

Had a very enjoyable meal here. You can taste the actual flavours, aroma, spices. As compared to other restaurants, you can taste the actual ingredients in the sauces, as they use fresh ingredients and fresh spices. The briyani was extremely aromatic as well! 10/10 would come back again!

We had an amazing lunch here. As we are novices when it comes to Indian food, we were happy that the waiter made very thoughtful suggestions to us, e.g. our curry paired best with naan as opposed to rice. Mutton curry is 10/10. We were also intrigued by the fact that the menu lists which dishes are Bengali as opposed to Punjabi — it was interesting to see and sample an assortment of both regions. All of the dishes we had were amazing and so full of flavor. I recommend you take it easy on the mains so that you can leave room for dessert, too.

I would recommend this restaurant and definitely will come back again when I'm in the neighbourhood. My favourite was the ocra dish, but my husband preferred the prawns in coconut. I also liked the Mango lassi and Masala Chai tea.

Good taste, but not authentic. We Ordered Kolkata style Dum Biryani, Kosha Mangsho, Damodar Chingri. Biriyani: Good taste if you are not looking forward to taste Kolkata or Awadhi Biriyani. It wasn't dum cooked. They took a boiled potato, a fried egg and Biriyani rice. Then put everything together and served with fried onions and kewra on top. Potato or egg didn't have any flavor and tasted bland. No kewra flavor after top layer of Biriyani. Even the chicken did not have any biryani flavor in it it was just a boiled fried and put together biryani. Damodar Chingri: This is a prawn curry served in tender coconut shell. Not coocked in it. You can see the tender coconut was not burnt at all it was a fresh to tender coconut. Prawn was tender and overall taste was good. Kosha Mangsho: Mutton was soft but not succulent. I guess it was not slow cooked as in traditional Bengali dish. It was a typical restaurant style boiled or precooked mutton put together in masala. Having said that, if you're not looking for authentic Bengali dish you could go there for good food. Taste was overall good but not authentic for sure. Service was very good. Everybody were eager to help and pleasing to talk to.

Some of the most delicious Indian fare you'll find in Singapore. The quality of the food at Mustard is so, so high. We particularly enjoyed the Murraya Fish and Kosha Mangsho. Ambience is great for families and dates. We'll be back again and again for more.

The food is refined good standard. Only down side is I saw they have a micro wave to heat up stuff. Not a fan of micro wave cooking or heating as it destroy the food. The food tastes very good but a bit expensive for such. Vegetarian for two expected $75.

Food is really good! Reasonable price too. Do make reservations in advance. No pics on menu so a bit tough to choose what to eat. Maybe the boss should consider adding pics into it.

Delicious higher end feeling Indian restaurant in Little India. Food was delicious and service was pretty attentive. There is a couple outdoor tables and around 8 inside. Probably need reservations to be safe, there was a wait when we arrived close to closing time at end of night. Enjoyed all the food we ate. Will be back again.

I recommend the following dishes at Mustard: 1. Chingri Maacher Malai Curry. This must be their most popular dish. Curry served in a coconut makes it unique. Prawns were fresh and succulent. 2.  Luchi Naan. The sweet tasting naan went surprisingly well with curry. Kids and people with a sweet tooth would love this. 3. Dimer Chop. Crispy boiled egg and minced mutton. Great appetizer. The staff were attentive and helpful. This restaurant seemed popular among locals and tourists. I would return to try other dishes.

Ok the food takes a really long time to arrive and you’re probably aren’t going to get a table without Rez. That said, I don’t get why service doesn’t offer the seats outside and we’ve to actually ask if they’re available. Seems kinda odd to me. The fish stew was meh but the green tandoor chicken had me looking for replica recipes. It was really good. The chai was such a big disappointment. I want to give this restaurant another chance because the green chicken was so so good

Food here is always excellent and the staff is very willing to take time to explain the menu and provide recommendations. I came in 2019 and I’m 2023 and the food was delicious both times. On the pricier side for a meal (especially if it’s only one person and you want rice and naan too). Make a reservation so you make sure to get a seat!

A pleasant and delicious food center serving Bengal and Punjabi cuisine items. I tried their Kolkata Chicken Biryani and Kolkata katti roll. Both were good. They have a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. I must visit many time to taste them all.

Stunning food. Delicate new flavours I've not had before. Excellent service. They even made nan from scratch with garlic and chilli (off menu) when we requested. The staff tailored our courses to our desires. Very impressed.

Went with a friend. We ordered Kolkata Special Chicken Briyani, Chilli Cheese Naan and Kosha Mangsho (mutton gravy). Kolkata Special Chicken was definitely pricier ($19) than most other Racecourse road restaurants ($15 to $17). The good part is diners get to choose if they would want to have boneless chicken. Plus, the dish came with Raitha. However, both rice and chicken were dry and unlike most other restaurants, the briyani wasn’t served with any gravy. When we requested for gravy, we were served with some gravy that tasted more like just rasam/soup. Kinda not sure what is so special about it that they call it Kolkata Special Chicken Briyani. Naan was extremely good but again, we had to pay $8.90 (felt it was pricey). Kosha Mangsho was also good but yea pricey ($21+ I guess) for a mutton gravy. On a side note, there were big chunks of potatoes everywhere in their dishes (briyani and Kosha Mangsho, refer to the photos please~). As we weren’t big fans of potatoes, felt a little disatisfied that quite a big volume of their dishes were just potatoes. This is just an opinion to help them do better, hope the details are sufficient.
