My wife and I decided to check out Pistachio, serving wholesome Middle Eastern cuisine, for our Valentine’s Day lunch. We started with a lovely Garlic Cheese Pita bread and Hummus. For mains, we had the delectable Red Snapper Marrakech and Shish Taouk (Chicken), both imbued with intense, rich flavours. To wrap up the meal, we had Um Ali, an interesting warm pudding, with a Turkish coffee and an aromatic Egyptian mint black tea. Apart from the lovely food, despite the busy lunch crowd, the service team was simply wonderful and attentive to our needs. Special thanks to Chef Khaled, for making our afternoon a memorable one. We would also like to compliment the crew including Wendy and Fina, who took very good care of us. We look forward to returning again to savour the rest of Pistachio’s extensive menu.

Visited for my birthday meal with my family as I was craving some Mediterranean food and this place had great reviews. However, the whole experience ended up kinda disappointing - as I had high expectations too on my first visit. Service: - It’s a restaurant but I felt like there was not much service per say. - It’s a pretty high price point but they don’t serve complimentary water (charged at $3 a pot of hot water, or $11 for Evian water only) - Ordering isn’t as fuss free as they try to make it. Online ordering only from mobile app, with just one physical menu at the door. Asked for any extra copies for easier viewing but none available. You also have to pay upfront in mobile order. - Feels like I visited a restaurant but received fast food style service. Atmosphere: - Overall atmosphere is okay. Like a typical restaurant Food: - Average, I’ve had much better at other places for a similar price point. - Pita bread, spreads and kebab grills were okay. - Saffron rice & Briyani rice were disappointing. They use basmati rice which gave a nice texture. However, flavour is so subtle that I could barely taste the difference between the 2. Summary: Would I return? Definitely not! For the price point, the food and service didn’t live up to expectations for a highly rated restaurant. Will continue on my hunt for yummy Mediterranean food!

Ah what a place for some richly delicate Middle Eastern food. Food here is authentic and delicious. We tried the lamb shank...so good! The gravy was incredible. The kebabs come hanging and swinging from a rail. They are nicely done and delicate in flavors. Devoured it all, absolutely delicious!!

Food portion is quite big. The chicken kebab is a must try! So tender and well seasoned! The pita bread was so so only. The falafel was a good try, very crisp on the outer skin. Do book beforehand for dinner times, very packed!

This small restaurant was busy on a Friday night. The crowd was also like due to the first days of the easing of the Pandey restrictions. They have interesting choices and we picked a range of options. I thought the food might be light but we were all full by the end of the meal. Service was great. We had a memorable dinner.

We had the sultan's delight and mussels with garlic cream and cheese toast. The sultan's delight is really enjoyable. We could taste the smokiness from the eggplant puree and the lamb stew is really tender with tomato based sauce. It's tangy and smoky with some crunchiness from the pine nuts. Really enjoyable. But the mussel is pretty standard. It didn't taste really fresh but they're quite generous with the amount. The garlic cheese sauce is ok only. Service was good and attentive.

OK v decent place for Mediterranean food. Had enjoyed the family run since their Zhong Shan time. Lamb was especially good! This round tried the mix skewer and Grilled King prawns! For the mixed grill preferred the lamb and chicken. Prawns were lovely. But got a little cold bybtye time we ate the last piece. Place was v crowded and goodbye came early at 6 plus. Decent seating places including a set aside section for 10 pax over..

Came here after hearing good things, luckily can walk in but highly recommend to book ahead of time. Food portion is good but staff is a little less attentive and also service is very very slow so don't show up too hungry. But I just say food is worth waiting for, had the chicken + sultan delight or something which was amazing. Fluffy rice, good nan!

First time at this restaurant, and I can say the dining experience was great. Food is great and the serving is not bad as well. I can only say good things about the service of the Staffs. The place is easy to find and the ambience is something to remember.

First time. Great service. Good food, although a few were not to my personal liking. Prawn and lamb chops somehow too dry. Bread and desserts were fabulous. Very crowded. Really popular restaurant.

This is what I could call a perfect meal. Glad to have secured a walk in table around 5.30pm for an early dinner. The mixed grill was so tender and perfectly cooked, without it being gamey. The sauce was fresh and tart and went well with the meat. Rice was lightly fragranced with saffron and the cashews added a nice crunch. Ended the meal off with the date cake which was so moist and tasted even better with the pistachio ice cream. I wish I had space for a second plate and will definitely be back.

Tasty Mediterranean food but a little pricey. We ordered the humus and pita (warm and crispy, delicious), tabouleh, Angus beef rib (nice and tender) and mixed platter for 4 to share. If you are after the baby lamb or tomahawk beef steak, they have to be ordered in advance -3 days for the lamb.

Old is gold as they say.. Pistachio restaurant is well known for its variety of middle eastern & Mediterranean dishes with a little twist.. you can’t say it’s Egyptian, Moroccan, Tunisian & this is the beauty of their concept, you will always find a dish that you like, rest assured quality is always well maintained with a very nice service, you can’t go out without adding it to your favorite list of restaurants in Singapore. Every dish we ordered today was yum, except um Ali “needs improvement to get the right taste” A big thank you to the chef who always make sure to greet everyone and take feedback. Ordered: - Spinach borek - Fried kebbeh - Hummus dip “twice” with amazing pita bread freshly baked - Fatoush - Mixed grill (2 lamb chops, 1 kofta, 1 beef kebab) comes with spicy sauce, salad & saffron rice on the side - Shish tawouq - Konafeh with cheese - Um Ali

Came for an occasion dinner as I've heard good things about it. TLDR: I would come back for specific dishes but moderate my expectations on service. Beef ribs: absolute must-order! Fall off the bone tender, and very tasty. Hummus: I can make better hummus. Not enough acid to cut through the heavy chick pea taste. Baba ghanoush: Good to order to add variety to your meal. Zaatar bread: must-try especially if you haven't tried Lebanese bread Garlic pita bread: good pairing with baba ghanoush or to eat on its own Falafel: Skip this completely! It was dry and hard, not to mention, tasteless. Mixed platter: lamb chops were good but sausage was too salty. Cous cous was passable. Service is decent although staff wasn't very attentive. Diners scan a QR code to order so service is impersonal and the onus is not on staff to ensure they got your order right, or to check if you have allergies or whether you are having a good time. Don't expect much service here. Atmosphere is quite decent esp if you have a big group and want a full-on fire display when you order certain dishes. But if you're on the receiving end trying to have decent conversation amidst the ruckus of the other tables, go somewhere else.

The food was ok. But the whole atmosphere made the food not worth the price tag. The waitress was very rough in handling the plate. Kept putting the plates roughly on the table. We were not finish eating some dishes yet but she throw the left over food inside the plates. Very rude. Not pleasant experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the delightful blend of Turkish and Arabic cuisine at the restaurant. The service from the young man's waiter was exceptional, always pleasant and smiling. While most of the experience was positive, there was a slight inconsistency in the service from one of the waitress girls, who seemed less welcoming. On another note, I observed that the staffing level, with only three waiters and one at the door, might need consideration. There were instances when my calls went unanswered, possibly due to the limited staff availability. Despite these minor points, the delicious food certainly stood out and made the overall dining experience enjoyable.

Tried walk in twice, but got turned down. So we called one day in advance to book a table. They specialize on grilled meats which tasted really good. Price is obviously (relatively) expensive, but worth the price. The two person serving really filled two tummies, so don't over order haha. The couscous was really good. I expected it to be very dry and hard to eat, however it was fragrant and surprisingly tasty. The lamb was also really good and no typical lamb smell or off flavors. The staffs were friendly too. We tried the pita bread with cheese and garlic too, but the garlic taste was overpowering and we can barely taste the cheese. Should have ordered the original pita bread. Overall nice resto.

We ordered a pouch with walnut dip. Then also ordered a Kebab with three flavors of chicken, beef and lamb. I didn't have much expectations at first, I thought it might be an improved taste, but when I took the first bite, I felt very authentic, because when I went to Egypt before, I had eaten real Mediterranean Middle Eastern food, and this Although the restaurant has also been improved, it retains the original taste of the cuisine.

Really delicious meal! We ordered the: - pistachio salad: really deliciously creamy sauce. The vegetables were fresh and the crunchy bits (not sure what it was) complemented the salad well - pita bread & hummus: it was served nice and hot. The bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was very fragrant as well. The hummus was delicious too. The taste and texture were perfect. - pistachio mixed grill: the presentation was great! The staff will help to remove the meats off the skewers so don’t worry 😉 the meats were all tender, but I particularly liked the lamb chop and chicken. The meats were tender and juicy, and the marination was great. However the beef became a bit dry after it cooled down (but kudos to the staff who encouraged us to eat the beef first). The sauce served with the meats was extremely delicious. It was slightly sour but went very very well with the meats! Definitely will be back to this restaurant!

Ordered Tagine chicken with olives and preserved lemon. It is served with couscous. Food portion was generous with reasonable price for restaurants in Orchard area. The food was great. Chicken was boneless. I loved gravy, and I would like the dish had more gravy. Ordering system can be done via QR code with instant payment (up front). Or you may order food through staffs. Ambient was good. I came early, so it was not crowded.

Stumble upon this Mediterranean restaurant by chance, and it is at heart of orchard road! The place was like normal cafe. We ordered the zatar bread, the hummus and the mix grill. Food was extremely awesome! Their pricing was little pricey, however with the high quality delicious food, who care about the price! Service was excellent. The mix grill was the best! Meat was tender and moist. It was grill to perfection! Unlike other Mediterranean restaurant their meat were dry, and at times burnt! The zatar bread was also to die for! By far his is the best Mediterranean restaurant. The upset is… they do not have hot beverages. Other than that, this place is highly recommended.

Super friendly customer service and awesome food. Must go for Mediterranean dishes. The beef kebab and lamb was super tender and juicy. No gamy taste for the lamb kebab. The pizza is a pleasant surprise and is very nice. The saffron rice is a special mention. It comes together with the kebab dishes. The owner introduced that this dish is made from aged basmati rice which is actually a healthy grain compared to other rice. Super tasty and ate so much of it.

I'm still not sure if I can consider their menu the best middle eastern food. But they definitely have the warmest hospitality. Helpful and friendly staff, chef that checks on you, waves as he bids you goodbye. Good Turkish coffee! A little pinch in your pocket.

The food in this restaurant is great! We were looking for a halal restaurant as we are entertaining visitors. Would recommend this for those who like beef as their beef au jus was very tender (melt in your mouth). I love their hummus as well as the dessert - kanafe which is good for sharing. Definitely will come back and try the other dishes

I was hesitant about pistachio because Middle Eastern was never my favorite. Nevertheless this restaurant turns out to be a pleasant surprise. It is situated within Wheelock Place at level two. The interior and the decorations are distinctively middle eastern. The menu is broad and wide. We had a group of 8 and we ordered a ton of food. I have forgotten the exact names of the dishes. However the garlic cheese pitta bread is a winner. The starter dish with a thin beef patty on a pitta bread is another winner. We ordered the fried cheese and this is truly a sight to behold. The owner grace every guest with his presence by lighting the fire to ignite the flame. The meats are well flavored and tender. The beef and the chicken dishes are awesome. I also had the Turkish coffee and the richness of this coffee tickle my palettes and smarted in my nose. The dessert is the ubiquitous favor Kunafi. This dish is done differently. It came with ice cream instead of milk. Nevertheless the taste is good and the texture is delicately infused with some spicy honeyed taste. Overall experience is good but the customer service seems to be a bit slack. Maybe it is due to the manpower crunch. Nevertheless go soon because they may be close a short renovation.

Second time in Pistachio and ordered the same beef short ribs and Chicken Kebab as last time. Really good, tender and flavourful. Lady staff is really nice and attentive! Thank you for the birthday cake for our friend! It’s a really nice gesture given that we didn’t have to request for it. The only downside is the place is really packed (which is probably an indication that the food is great) and the noise level was quite high (we couldn’t hear each other much)

One of the best food experiences I've had in a long while. The falafel is really amazing, fried with a thin crisp crust and so nutty inside. Mixed grills are great, especially the chicken which is really another level. How can chicken be this good? The feteer (am Egyptian dessert with many layers of pastry and served with milk and honey) was delicious, and although sweet, it wasn't too cloying. It really recalls why even in ancient biblical time, the combination of milk and honey was a symbol of the promised land. Come in a group so you can order more dishes and share. You really can't go wrong. Service was nice and personable too, the staff have an impeccable memory and the chef came and helped do table service for our dessert.

By far one of the greater or dare I might say it the BEST Middle Eastern & Mediterranean food I ever had. Each dish is cooked with so much thought and care that each bite leaves you wanting more! Compared to other Mediterranean food across Singapore that is covered with oil and all the yucky food enhances. You can rest assured that Pistachio doesn't use any of these and only uses the finest quality ingredients! No wonder the restaurant is jam-packed during peak hours!

It almost tears one up when the Chef checks on you and says "Are you hungry? I'll bring the whole kitchen to you". It's like a warm embrace you didn't know you needed and that you'll be taken care of. And taken care of we were. And how! It's not unique to have a dining experience that ticks all the boxes of sight, smell, taste, hospitality and what have you. But it's rare to experience that warm embrace that @pistachiogrill wraps you in from the minute you enter to the minute you leave! ☺️ We were not prepared to have our minds blown like this! Once you step in, the fragrance from the kitchen titillates all your senses...and the food definitely delivers! We ordered the falafel and the Lebanese Zater bread and together it was a match made in heaven! I can live on it. In our mains, we had the Tunisian braised lamb shank and the Lebanese chicken platter...lamb was extremely succulent and flavourful and the nutty rice was oomph loaded and so fragrant! The best part was yet to come in the form of chef's complimentary dessert - the highlight was the Jordanian Dates Cake with caramel sauce and ice cream...and we'd never had such flavours before! Chef Khaled transports you to a very happy place where you'd love to go again and again. See you again soon Pistachio!

Food was amazing! We got the Pistachio Mix Grill and Sultan's Delight; favourite meat on the Pistachio Mix Grill was definitely the chicken kebab - absolutely delicious and oozing with juices, the beef kebab tasted a little too cold for my liking but pehrpas that was just a one-off thing. And the Sultan's Delight, oooh, the lamb with cheese was so tender it melted in our mouths! Of course, having all these meat paired with some flavourful saffron rice really completed the meal!

Just had a quick meal before a movie date. Overall food was good though you may need to wait 20 mins on crowded evenings. A lot of the meals are sharing portions, when will need to come back with a bigger group to sample a wider selection of food.

Saw that this place have good reviews. So decided to try and ordered beef kebab and prawn aglio olio. The pasta tastes okay - nothing special but out of 3 prawns one was mushy and not fresh. The beef kebab seems more like minced meat balls and the saffron rice is lacking in flavour and fragrance.

Absolutely adore this place. Food is good and so is the service. viewing and ordering of food thru qr code by the table too. Hummus is one of the best I've tried (then again I've not tried that many but in general not so much of a chickpea fan but man, this, I LOVE).Not a fan of mutton/lamb in general (you be questioning why did I even bother to head to a Mediterranean restaurant, well that's life) but this, man~ is their lamb sausage guuuuurd, definitely be back to try other food. Assume is the owner/head chef, who is an absolute lamb (geddit?!), Was very attentive in helping us settle down and with our orders even

All the food was excellent. We loved how the chef came out to ask how we were doing. The new system of ordering and paying on the app is good although the app has some bug that doesn't show our table number. I wish there were more drink options. All in all a 5 star experience. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Food is actually good but service is lacking. We weren’t hungry, so we ordered a plain pita with baba ganoush dip, and a tabbouleh salad which was rather refreshing. The dip has a nice Smokey flavour and the pita is pretty good - thin, crispy and large for sharing. Service wise, as mentioned was lacking and staff needs some training - we stood outside and they were just standing around together and when we expressed interest, one of the guy just waved for us to come in, not very welcoming. He then stood by the table he assigns us, and waited for us to show up, and simply show us the QR to scan. It wasn’t terrible, but just lack the welcoming factor, which restaurants need, especially for a new one.

<ö+ TasteMarked Reviews +ø> We ordered: Turkish BBQ- Mixed Grill- I really like this! It reminded me when I went to Turkey. This tasted very authentic! But don’t order Turkish BBQ if you order this as it’s a redundant. Seafood Pide- this is like a pizza Moussaka- i really loved this dish! its a hearty eggplant caserole! Hummus and Bread - quite pricey but really nice! Baba Ghannoush and Bread - really good bit again pricey. Falafel- nice and crispy in the out side; it was paired wit hummus as a dipping. If you’re ordering this, don’t order extra hummus anymore. I find that, we ordered quite a few redundant order and it was wasted. Specially on the dips, the servers should be trained to help the customers and advise them on the orders. Environment:4/5 Waiting: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Service: 2/5 What I liked: - Mix grill and Moussaka What I disliked: - the quality of service doesn’t match the price point of the shop. They need better training...

Really great food! Clean atmosphere. Good seating (no crummy metal stools). Loved all the choices, from appetizers to mains, sides, desserts and beverages. Went here for lunch and arrived just after they opened which was a good thing as they already were getting busy. Tried the hummus and bread plus Lebanese chicken skewer (juicy chicken thigh meat) and lovely fluffy rice with cashew and raisin garnish. I also had espresso and!! an IBC Root Beer. Oh my gosh that was so good. Service was perfect. You could look up and just with your eyes signal you needed something. Perfection! Can't wait to return and eat more of this healthful food.

Delicious middle eastern food! We were pleasantly surprised by how tender some of the meats were, especially the beef ribs. They delivered the dishes well, flavours well balanced and not overly salty. Dessert was good as well. Problem is they can get busy at peak hours and their service is slow. Also food here is not that cheap.

Love love the amazing atmosphere and quality of food at Pistachio Grill. Our family loves going there to celebrate special occasions and if we are around the Orchard area. Super authentic middle eastern and Mediterranean food prepared by Chef Khalid.

Where have you been all my life :) ? The best Middle Eastern food in Singapore, and hands down the best hummus I've ever had anywhere. Pistachio folks were nice enough to include an extra dessert with our delivery. Amazing attention to detail even with the staple side dishes like couscous and rice. No idea how they manage to get the top-quality ingredients even now. Thank you very much. I hope we'll have a chance to visit Pistachio in person.

It was a random choice of looking for a hummus and pita bread fix and chanced upon Pistachio on google. At the start, we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the hummus and baba ghanoush were. We literally mopped up every mouthful of the dips with the very well-baked pita. We also ordered the Angus beef rib with saffron rice. The rice was heavenly! The one course that did us in was the not-in-the-menu-dessert specially prepared by Chef Khaled himself. The white chocolate lava cake with moringa tea filling was to die for! We were so blown away by how fragrant and unique the dessert was. The service needless to say was fantastic. We were well attended by a male wait staff who provided really good recommendations for first time diners like us. And Chef Khaled was personable and just so nice! I learnt so much about how I should choose my rice grains the next time I need to buy them. Those were invaluable advice. He knows his food. We will definitely be back. There is still so much to try. The next time, I'll bring more dining partners and more white chocolate lava cake please!

Here for the first time and there was a short wait list for walk in (Friday, ~7pm). We ordered the lamb chop and the beef rib basmati rice. The lamb chop was certainly overcooked (ie. well done), so the gamey taste was missing, and thus a bit disappointing. The beef rib was certainly perfectly cooked, so the texture was superb, but lacks that natural beef taste (so having to add salt tells you much). The rice was rather short in taste, but was absolutely necessary to help cut the grease from the beef, else one will find it quite hard to stomach the dish. The serving is probably good for 3 (or 2 highly motivated) diners.

We got stood up outside 5 minutes despite restaurant being empty, had to walk inside and get wait staff attention at close distance to have a seat. Food was expensive, portions were really small. Taste was mediocre. Bussorah Street has way better restaurants if you are craving for proper Middle Eastern food. I’m giving two stars for sake of clean open kitchen and nice decor. Would also be better if staff warned the next table sick guy coughing all over the place without covering his mouth. Poor experience.

Service was not good to start off. Nobody was checking on us or asking if we need anything. Finally at the end when we couldn't wait we called someone to ask for dessert menu and they said kitchen is closed. So no one asked us if we even need anything else. That said food was really good and we would love to try more dishes on menu. Just please improve service.

Good quality food, very flavourful. Good portion sizes. Average bill for 2 is around $120.

Loved everything thing we had. Cooked as a perfect delicacy, with flavours oozing from each dish. Specially try the pistachio dessert cake! You get to speak directly to the Chef, so hear his tales on the uniqueness of his preparation (natural and herbal elements) or his stories of the culmination of his Chef experience and recipes.

We had a memorable experience dining here for lunch, not just because the food is excellent (I especially love the fish and dessert) and meticulously prepared by the chef and owner, Mr Khalid, but also because Mr Khalid is a very lovely and kind man. He came out a few times to check on us and we had a nice time chatting with him. Overall we had a lovely time and will return again.

Middle Eastern restaurant that offers Lebanese food. The selection is limited and food is great and the portion is small for the price. Their main dish is quite expensive considering the portion is only for 1 pax and not 2 pax for average eater. The Lebanese Zater bread is unique, hummus is delicious, too bad the kebab looks like sliced beef instead of kebab. Had a feeling of been cheated.

Absolute jam pack on a Tuesday for lunch. Best to get reservation. Not exactly a big restuarant but ambience is good enough - cosy friendly. After placing our orders and water for all unfortunately water did not come until after prompting. Waiter was pretty helpful though to suggest combinations of bread that should go with humus. Food over all were really good. Though it was supposed to be a light lunch we end up stuffing ourselves. The ribs were just wonderful - soft, sweet and spiced just right. The rice that came with it matched really well. Chicken soft and succulent. It is most pleasant to see the Chef himself out doing his rounds. Only thing is best keep your wallet open as prices were not shown until on receipt for the Chef Special. Also Coffee not too good here. Can’t expect too much from Boncafe. We be back for sure. May 10th ‘20 What a total disaster ordering take out to celebrate mother’s day. All the meat was terribly tough to the point of rubbery. The person doing the grilling has done a terrible job. Items came was not even lukewarm. 116 meal was totally not worth it. May 11th '20 This is how fast the owner reacted to our disatisfaction. He called and made another order of meats to see if all was right and I am glad to say it is way way better. Meats are not rubbery and we enjoyed it. But again.... nothing beats dining in so till Covid is over i suppose. Thank you for trying as that is a mark of a good business customer service.

Ordered the Angus Beef Rib and Tabouleh Salad. Excellent, the beef was flavourful and slid off the bone easily. Tabouleh added a refreshing touch to the heaviness of the meat. Reheated the leftovers of the beef the next day and tasted just as good!

Picked up food from the restaurant. As usual Chef Khalid and the Pistachio team served up great food. Bento set was absolutely delicious and worth the price! Included a free piece of cake which was such a lovely gesture. Highly recommend the lamb sausages!!! Cant get enough, ordered extra as sides!

I came to Singapore few weeks ago and was looking for Mediterranean restaurants. I stumbled upon this gorgeous place 5 minutes away from my hotel. I tried Kebabs on day one and man it was delicious. Atmosphere is great and all servers are friendly, specially three girls Urmi, Wendy and Fina are super nice, they make sure to get you a table quickly, take the order in timely manner and also make valuable suggestions on the menu. They always keep checking if everything is fine and customers are enjoying food. I loved the desert suggestion after eating my dinner. After first day I have been to this place 7-6 times and was always greeted with same service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will go again before I leave Singapore for USA.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Pistachio Grill. I had the Sultan’s Delight together with the Lamb Chops Moussaka, the tastes are so out of this world, with a couple of beers. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Service is very welcoming and make great recommendations.
