It wasn't packed in the afternoon (not many shops opened yet) but during the dinner time, it was always full. Didn't really have chance to eat there anymore these days since it is not really kid's friendly place. I used to eat there and enjoy the seafood with the queue and big glass of sugar cane. The place is quite hot since it is an open air hawker center and most of the foods will be BBQ seafood, it will be a sweaty dinner. Nevertheless, it was one of my favourite places to visit for dinner in group.

I searched the internet, looked for good restaurants, bought various kinds of food, and ate it with my friend, and I was very satisfied. Especially the sugar cane tower was the best. However, it's hard to find a seat like other Hawker centers, so I think you can think about it enough before you go.

This place is known to be crowded. You can get seats by waiting a little. Generally, the food quality is better than most other places. All the typical favourite of Singaporeans like Oyster Omelette, Char Kway Teow, Fried Prawn noodle, satay and sugar cane juice are good and reasonably priced. Today, we catch a beautiful sky during the sun set.

Carrot Cake / Chye Tow Kueh (SGD $3) @ Stall 36 Carrot Cake. . Beloved for their aromatic plates of carrot cake infused with garlic and wok hei / breath of the wok. The small cut carrot cake cubes are soft and moist without being mushy, and so fragrant. . The black version is laced with dark sweet soy sauce, sizzled till some of the small bits turn crispy. Has a bold sweet savoury salty eggy spice flavour. . The white version is set into rough squares, sizzled till the sides are slightly crispy. Has a lovely savoury sweet salty eggy spice flavour.. . . . Char Kway Teow (SGD $4) @ Chomp Chomp Fried Kway Teow Mee. . Smoky with a bold aroma of wok hei / breath of the wok, their rendition falls on the spectrum towards the dry sweet side. . Less eggy than elsewhere but still sufficient, with the eggs carrying a smoky sweet note and a light crisp texture. The other ingredient that stands out is the generous garnish of crisp bean sprouts. . The noodles are the star, slippery with a soft chew, sweet salty savoury and smoky unctuous with enticing flavour.

Lots of great local hawker fares carrot cake( the stall at the back), spinach wanton mee, bbqs, fried oyster etc. the sugar cane juice with lemon is a must try to combo with yr menu! However, the cleaners don’t really do their job in cleaning the tables when patrons clear their crockery. Cleanliness can be improved so do their cleaners attitude.

Haven been here for some time decided to bring a friend here for dinner since he has been living overseas for a while and decided to make a short trip back. Went on a Friday slightly before 6. Quite surprised the tables were still quite empty and could get a seat easily. However the problem came when we visited some of the stalls and ordered food and was told the waiting time would be more than 30 minutes! It was already shorter than most times I visited so we decided to wait for the good food. As usual ordered a few items from the popular stalls and had a decent and good meal here. Standard pretty much was consistent and we enjoyed it lot. Crowd starting coming in around 7 and despite a shower, this place was packed. People couldn't really take the outdoor seats and many were waiting for tables. I'll recommend the Ah Hock Hokkien Mee and the Chomp Chomp Satay here.

Heard alot about the great food at Chomp chomp food center. However I find dishes that I've ordered like BBQ chicken wing, satay and stingray all of them are below average. Satay is from Chomp Chomp Satay stall, it was really dry for mutton and pork. The ketupat is so tough and dense that it is really difficult to eat. Satay has not seasoning at all, just like took the meat put them on stick and immediately just BBQ. The stingray from Boon Tat Street stall and it dry too and lacks chilli sauce coating on the outside of the stingray. Chicken wing is from Chomp Pang Huat stall and the wings too is bit dry and was average for me.

An amazing food center to get a great assortment of BBQ delights for dinner. There were a couple of stalls selling similar food items but quality wise they were almost the same, and it is really down to your preference as to which one you go to. Highly recommend trying their BBQ chicken wings, satays (pork satay was really tasty!), fried carrot cakes and seafood (BBQ stingrays, cockles etc). Pair these food with a big jug of sugar cane juice and it will be a very satisfying meal. Do note that there is only outdoor seating so it might get a little warm after a while. Since there are barbeque going on in most stalls, your clothes and hair will definitely smell like smoked food after the meal. Since this is a highly popular food center, waiting time for some stalls may go beyond 45minutes. The stall owners will usually inform you of their long waiting time so do order upon your own discretion.

This is a popular hawker in Serangoon with lots of seafood options specifically. There is a satay shop with exotic satays to pick from which was quite nice. The vibe is pretty chill, it’s also clean and always busy. I would recommend this hawker specially if you’re bringing tourists. The cost is slightly higher compared to other hawkers but good food options!

The fried oyster would have tasted better if I didn’t choose to takeaway. Still, it’s relatively crispy with more eggs than starch ratio. Oysters are fresh, big and juicy as well. I think the chili would have enhanced the flavor a bit more.

The best way to try the local cuisine in SG is to visit the Hawker center. The Chomp Chomp Food Centre is one of the famous one. Thanks my friend Alice who took me there to try the yummy SG authentic cuisine . She knows the place well and we went there at around 5pm , she said that it would be crowded later in the evening and couldn't find a table or seats. People are very friendly , there are many small stores selling different kind of local dishes. Everything looks so nice and yummy , would like to try them all. Of course, we have picked all the famous dishes . I have enjoyed a wonderful evening of SG yummy local cuisine.

A lousy place to have your meals....it's extremely hot and crowded to even walk inside this food centre. Food quantity and quality is pathetically small in portions. Any other neighborhood hawker centre does much better than this. 80% of stalls here are either selling stay, chicken wings or bbq seafood.

Went there on a Friday night, was crowded but did not take too long to find a seat for two. Had a variety of dishes and the food was all great. Special mention to the fried carrot cake, great value for money

Fairly easy to order and the hawker food here is generally above average too. We especially love the tender satay run by the solo lady satay stall. So tender and flavourful 👍🏻

Great selection of food at Chomp Chomp. However the best dish so far is the salted egg eggplant. Eggplant were mixed with pork or beef. But the flavors was good because the crispy texture of the salted eggs, juiciness of the eggplant and meat juries coats the eggplant. The fried rice and noodles were good. The sambal sauce gives fried rice perfect kick of spice to the dish. Skewers is okay even the stingray too. I had high expectations for stingray. Even grilled wings were okay. The deep fried wings are the best. Enjoy the atmosphere of hawkers in Chomp Chomp.

There are a variety of local delights here. One food that particularly stood out was the oyster omelette. The oysters were big, fresh and succulent, and there were plenty of them in the omelette. The stall owner was generous with the oysters. Bbq stall and satay stalls are so so. The ones went to had stale satay sauce, so I will probably explore the rest of the stay stalls to find the best.

Ordered Hokkien Mee, Satays and beef noodle. This hawker have 2 famous stalls of Hokkien mee, I got the green plate one( Chia Keng). Should have bought both to try at I didn’t saw the red plate one (Ah Hock). Saw many people getting ah Hock Hokkien mee instead. The green plate Hokkien mee was not as delicious and fragrant as I thought. I have try the Changi Village one at other hawkers and I prefer that, the sauce is extremely flavourful! The satay don’t have any char taste.. sauce still okay only. The beef noodle, for the price, acceptable. As I just came back from Taiwan, compared this to the Taiwan one is extremely different level. This bowl consist of a few slices of beef, some fried peanuts and preserved vegetables. Noodle is springy. Soup is sour and spicy abit.

Come for the Satay at Chomp Chomp Satay. Good clean tables, not too crowded. Stalls are open a little later than other places. Cereal prawns here are also very good.

Went for dinner a few times here. Great selection of local food delights, from hokkien mee, to fried kway tiao and bbq seafood. Sugar cane juice was great too. However prices for the food are on the high side for a hawker center.

It was ok, although I feel maybe I had arrived a tad too early (12:30) since 95% of the stalls were still closed, so I decided just to have a quick drink before heading back to Serangoon. Well priced and nice variety of drinks including Bandung, Lime Juice and Lychee Juice.

Good food! But the downside is the stalls' attitude. They kept asking if you bought food from them, only they are willing to give you chopsticks or sell you plain rice. Of course we bought food from them. We found it really weird as we encountered it in a few stalls asking the same. I'm not sure if it's a norm to them. But surely the food is nice!

There were a lot of food options. Generally speaking, all pretty good. Price to portion ratio is not the best, but its to be expected as it is a popular food centre. Gotta have the large size of Sugarcane juice at SGD4.00 when im here. They have a tower for Sugarcane as well!

Definitely the atmosphere of an outdoor hawker center. This壕煎is my favorite in Singapore. I don't know why people recommend the other stall Ang Sa Lee fried oyster near the front of the center, they are not close in terms of taste. Chomp Chomp Fried oyster wins and you can tell by the number of people ordering from this stall vs the other.

Chomp Chomp have evolved over the years. But I'm glad that some of the old favourites and good memories remained. Tip: The seats at both the far left and right of the hawker centre are the most cooling.

Satay, Chicken Wings, ketupat, Black Carrot Cake and Huge Sugar cane! That's our Dinner! Long time no come here

Although it is protected from the sun and there are fans, much of the available space is very warm. You're supposed to select a table and then go order from whatever stalls you want, and they will deliver the food to your table. (I'm not sure how you do this if you're alone, maybe leave a sweater on your table to mark that you'll be eating there.) The variety of food is great, and the food itself is excellent. You have to bus your own table and there are racks throughout the space for dirty dishes.

Food is amazing, my fav is the bbq stingray. Cheap food not like the other food center inside the city. U must try this place there is a lot of kinds of food to try and wait never forget to try their lemon sugar cane juice its so refreshing.

Gets really crowded during lunch and dinner times. Food is really flavourful but the hygiene here is seriously non-existent. To eat without worrying about the cleanliness of the food would require one to look away during the preparation process. I wasn’t charged extra for takeaways. All these came up to around $65.

Good satay and sugar cane juice. Small cosy Hawker center. The grill and Indonesian stalls also very good and they have a stall which serves French fries. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in the busy area. Good bus connections.

Surprisingly good chicken. I suggest having wireless paging system for food collection, rather than table service. I am sure your customers will understand as this is a hawker centre, and most shops expected self-service.

Table so dirty till i no mood for picture taking. Is a place always over crowed. I cannot see Cleaner around. Understand we need to return tray ourself then meaning no need cleaner to clean the table??? I think prison more cleanest thrn any of the Hawker in singapore now.

Very decent foods served here at reasonable prices but the wait can be long at peak hours, so be patient and wait before satisfying your hunger and taste buds!

Tasty BBQ foods and some of the best satay that we had so far! Surprisingly easy to find dinner seats on a Tuesday night.

👍 This is a hawker food centre in Serangoon Garden. It has recently been upgraded, so the place is very clean and new. There are not many famous or popular food stalls, but it's good enough if you are not too fussy 😀. 😊 eating local food 😋

👍👍 What an excellent bowl of prawn noodles! Go for the 5-dollar portion because it gives you an extra prawn. The prawns are completely de-shelled, which makes a very satisfying bite. Would prefer the thin bee hoon to be a little softer, but the chilli, soup and lard are all very good.
