Cheese segment was great, coupled with amazing honeycomb Overall: Will not come back again

Quite a variety of food options, seafood and dessert is pretty good. Only minus point is that we do feel some management staff tend to treat customers very differently especially when we arrived, giving us a condescending look while the waiters do a much better job interacting with customers.

This review is specifically for The Art of Afternoon Tea. ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฒ: Tried my best to list down the items as they seem to differ from the menu that you scan in the restaurant (???). It was also the first time at a high tea sess that the servers did not explain what each item was. When asked, she was unsure and needed to check with the chef, twice. Overall, we prefer the sweets much more than the savoury. See below for a peek into what was served. ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ Lobster Bisque: rich and creamy, does not have an overwhelmingly fishy taste, absolutely delicious! - Selection of Scones with clotted cream and jam: was floury and rubbery. We did not finish any. - Quiche: ok lo ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜† - Smoked Salmon, Apricot, Cream Cheese Roll - Boston Lobster Sandwich, fish roe - Salmon terrine, apricot, honey walnut cracker - Prosciutto, smoked bacon, cream cone Seems like they have issues with their flour based items: sandwich, terrine and cone all did not meet expectations e.g. cannot finish cause not nice. ๐—ฆ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€ Yuzu Grapefruit Meringue Tart: Love this! but honestly, it tasted more like lemon, I don't taste the yuzu nor the grapefruit. Nailed that meringue texture. - Olive Basil Chocolate Cake: It is an interesting combination but not something I will order Pumpkin Gateau de Voyage: great texture, not too sweet Pesto Pine Nut Gateau de voyage Green Tea Peach Jelly: no peach jelly, seems like green tea chocolate? It's not bad. ๐——๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜€ Soft Serve: Not creamy, kinda icy and tasteless.... didn't finish it.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Chef even came out to introduce the different offerings they had. Even though the spread was not a lot, Quality of food was beyond expectations. They also informed us about an ongoing card promotion which we wouldโ€™ve totally missed out had they not prompted us several times at the end of our dinner. Good job to the team!

Immaculate service. Very thorough in offering drinks, clearing plates, folding napkins etc. Buffet is seafood-themed. The seafood is very fresh and good. But the other dishes can be a bit of hit and miss. For example, the Laksa is lacklustre. Roast duck is also quite bland. Restaurant is beautifully decorated but can get a bit loud. I wish the restaurant wouldn't put live lobsters on display. The lobsters looked so sad awaiting their impending deaths. I understand you want to indicate freshness, but this is really unnecessary and in bad taste. The Sunday brunch costs $138++ per pax. I find it a tad expensive for the inconsistent food quality.

Just had to drop a note to say thanks for the fantastic experience. Your customer service was top-notch, and the way you manage the food sections, especially the chilled seafood and antipasti, is impressive. The oven-baked pizzas were a hit, and those desserts? Absolutely mouthwatering, better than Edge and Colony. A special shoutout for helping me surprise my partner with a birthday cake. Overall, a positive experience that guarantees our return. Keep up the great work!

I would say this is one of the top tier hotel buffet. Definitely will return for their dinner and festive menu. Really worth the price. It is my first visit here. Has been checking out this restaurant for a while and decide to drop in with family for a weekday lunch. Really pleasantly surprise by the quality and variety of the food. Also want to give a special shout-out compliment to restaurant manager - Mr Aliff Khan. He is really a good host. Found a good table for us and introduce us to the food and set up. Always appreciate an engaging manager. Also gave me his card and mobile number. Very pleasant and professional manager. Starting with food - I always go for the desserts first in buffet. Beach road kitchen has truly one of the highest quality dessert. The cakes have great texture - crispy, sponge, ganache. You can tell the chefs take lots of effort to make every single one. And they provide whole cakes for lunch! The chocolate yuzu cake is amazing! The durian pandan has fresh durian flesh. I have multiple servings of everything! Next comes the ice cream - definitely made in house. Not over the counter type. Thick and special flavors. The chef made them in scoops. They even have soft serve. The savory food are just as good. I was wondering why the pizza are so fresh and crispy. They have their own stove right at the counter! Can see the pictures. The fried rice super tasty with wok hey taste. The collagen pork rib soup also super fragrant. The raw seafood are fresh and succulent. Sushi and sushi lots of variety. The ambience is superb - quiet, classy and comfortable. Service is fast and prompt. Will definitely return for their dinner and festive menu.

Beach Road Kitchen is part of the JW Marriott South Beach Hotel. Itโ€™s breakfast, brunch and dinner buffets are second to none. One can enjoy a one for one discount if one has hotel club membership. The spread is quite extensive from chill seafood, to meats, greens and pastries. Service is great and reservations is encouraged as the place is very popular.

Went to try out their Sunday Champagne brunch buffet and was somewhat disappointed. Service was a tad slow and lacking. We had to get the staff attention several times just to clear our table. Food was replenished slowly and variety was limited. 30 minutes into the first seating, the Camembert cheese ran out, the staff just tell us that it is no longer available. For the price, I would have expected better service. Definitely will not recommend this restaurant and visit other hotel buffet instead.

Nice ambience and spacious, good spread of international dishes. Friendly station chef, very generous in their serving. Staff always clear our dishes promptly so no clutter on table. Special mentioned to Ivan, very attentive to our need and surprising my wife with a Birthday cake. We enjoyed our meals and have a wonderful dining experience.

Came back second time in a row. Food is still great. Fresh seafood like lobster claw and snow crab legs. The desserts and cheese station are also much better than most hotel buffet. Price is also reasonable after 15% credit card discount. Staff Samantha is again very nice to us in assisting to get a proper table. If there are things to nitpick, my first visit in July is much better. The kids guests are less hence venue is more quiet, buffet table much cleaner and getting replenished fast. My second time yesterday seems to have some kids party going on, hence quite noisy and chaotic with kids running around. Perhaps itโ€™s time for resto to consider to sit kids in one specific area. Food also was no longer getting replenished at 2pm (buffet ends at 230pm), maybe should consider to replenish for late guests. Also the seating arrangement can be reconsidered because a lot of โ€˜dead endโ€™ seats, like you get pushed to the corner and you canโ€™t get out unless person beside you stands and comes out. It would be better to arrange seats that donโ€™t really stick all the way to corner, else very inconvenient. Nevertheless, I would still consider Beach Road Kitchen among my top favorite places for Sat lunch, mainly due to value for money, and food variety/quality!

Was here for X'mas Eve Dinner Buffet on 24.12.2023, but was thoroughly disappointed with the food presentation, taste, variety and atmosphere. This year the price was up at $178++ per pax. They always have 2 timing seating with a dining time limit of up to 2 to 2.5hrs which many guests don't like. Once you're late, u have to eat as fast as u can. I remembered the X'mas Eve Dinner in 2022 was so fantastic, food quality & varieties were so great. They even had a live Baked Bombe Alaska dessert. Unlike this year, everything has changed.. Look at the photo of how they present their charcoal grilled food especially the Salmon & Lobsters. Hey this is X'mas Eve, a special and joyous occasion, not Pasar Malam leh, why present the seafood items in this way whereby this is a Luxurious 5 star hotel.. We paid more than $200 per pax including the taxes, but was surprised to see such a poor presentation. And also all the Salt Baked Crab was not cracked open at all, usually the chef will crack open on the claws, so that its easier for the guests to crack open. Even guys had a hard time to crack it, don't even say the ladies.. We couldn't enjoy ourselves at all after all the strength used on the tough cracking.. Was excited to see Grilled Abalone on the menu, but turned out to be such a small black colour Abalone which doesn't look appetising to guests.. They always like to put Pineapple juice, same as last year. Not many people like Pineapple, can't they put Orange juice, since most people will prefer Orange than Pineapple? Desserts look pretty, but doesn't taste great. And the aircon in this place is always warm, unless you're lucky to be seated at the cold antipasti area, otherwise be prepared to perspire while you're eating. Feedback so many years, but their aircon is still always not cold at the rest of the area with such a hot weather in Singapore. I see most of the guests eat until quite boring as there isn't any X'mas music, totally no X'mas deco or X'mas tree, no Santa Claus , 0% X'mas atmosphere...The restaurant is only half or 3/4 filled despite its X'mas eve dinner, now I know why.. The only thing to compliment is their signature Mushroom Pizza, best Pizza! Service wise is normal. Need to ask the server to quickly clear our plates a few times as our table is so small. I hope the management can look into it and improve as much as impossible. We paid $423 for two, but its totally not justifiable, no complimentary parking coupon too. With all these money spent, we would rather go Ritz Carlton with parking coupon and 5 star service.

We love the arrangement here where different food station is position in various places rather than centralised in a certain area. Good quality food especially the snow crab. Sarah who attended to our table was excellent and very attentive. Mum was on walking stick and Sara immediately volunteered to help her carry her food!!

Yeah it was yet another fulfilling buffet lunch at Beach Kitchen Road. Our service crew by the name of Jolene, was attentive and helpful. She made sure our table is kept clean and even recommended us some of the popular spread. Very nice of her. We were delighted with the buffet spread. My wife loves the halibut, sashimi and beef steaks (for those who likes medium rare). As for myself, I had a few rounds of oysters, korean pork belly and chicken mid wings. Well worth the spent for 2paxs under $160. We were being told by the staff named Ivan that thereโ€™s a 15% discount for DBS/POSB cardholders. This is so welcoming ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป. Thank you Ali and his wonderful team. Be sure we will return when we crave for some of our favourite food ๐Ÿ˜‹.

One of the seafood we craved most- crayfish were out of stock at the start of the buffet. This wouldnt be a pleasant experience if someone who looked forward to this but didn't get to enjoy them. Imagine paying the same price for buffet but was told lobster or oysters were out of stocks... Ordered snow crab and prawns too. These two were fresh so we mostly kept these orders coming. Chili crab were so so only and the buns were pretty hard. Aussie striploin was nicely cooked, veil tongue was tender and it's sauce went well with it. Mussels and clams were okay. Free drinks were just water, coffee and tea. Other drinks are billable. Staff Ivan made sure we were well served and frequently asked if we need anything else. Overall 3 stars.

The Art Of Afternoon Tea! Afternoon Tea at Beach Road Kitchen is back every Saturday and Sunday with decadent savoury canapes, delightfully yummy desserts, warm entrees and soft serve. I had their lunch and dinner buffet before pandemic and I love it! So had I expectations for their afternoon tea offering.. and it does not disappoint. In fact I was surprised at the amount of food at just $48++. My favorites are the lobster sandwich and foie gras mousse for savoury. For dessert, the green tea peach jelly and yuzu grapefruit merengue tart are the standouts! Iโ€™ve had better scones, but the clotted cream and strawberry jam/honey was yummy so no complaints here. Lobster bisque was served hot and tasted really good. Quiche Lorraine was equally tasty! The meal ended with a refreshing and generous serving of soft serve ice cream with fresh berries. The servers were very attentive and friendly. I really appreciate they ask us every now and then if everything is ok. The restaurant itself is modern with fantastic lighting for those foodie insta moments. Oh.. coffee and tea are freeflow! And they use premium TWG tea! I highly recommend the earl grey tea. Overall a fantastic afternoon tea experience. Congratulations Beach Road Kitchen!

Although relatively busy during the lunch buffet due to 30% off promo, it was much appreciated that staff were very attentive with clearing plates and refilling water. Prawns were very fresh, oysters were acceptable. Dessert spread and gummy/candy buffet was good. Coffee and tea to end was perfect. The birthday cake provided was a very nice touch! I would return!

Overall, both food and service were excellent! Unlike typical buffet with subpar seafood quality, the seafood here were very fresh across the board (from oysters to clams). Keep a lookout for the salt baked crabs too that were delicious! The desert section is extensive with waffles, frozen yogurt, gelato and various cakes. Another underrated addition were the fresh grapefruit and fresh orange juice available! Service was prompt when clearing plates, refilling our glasses and there were smiles all-round. We will be back!

Be wary of the slippery steps during rainy weather at Beach Road Kitchen, JW Marriott. A little late on review but oh well~ The cold platter spread was extensive with snow crab legs, lobster, scallops, oysters. A pretty good selection of various cheese as well. Quite surprised to see a gorgeous slab of golden honeycomb with several types of Crackers and cheese sticks to pair with. Fresh veggie choices are also available with olives, tomatoes, alfalfa, etc. There is also a roast duck and meat section and laksa station as well. For the cooked side, there were festive selections like roasted lamb, beef, roasted veggies, sheperd pie, baked crabs, Grilled prawns, squids, very much spoilt for choices. The desserts were amazing though. Intricately created pieces decorated with gold flakes. I'd say, there isn't one fabulous item that failed my tastebud. A shoutout to the various chocolates, fruits and sweets for pairing with the macha fondue. There were bottles of gummies and biscuits that are adorable and entertaining for young children. The overall spread was very delightful, food is of a pretty good standard and were replenished timely in an orderly manner - something which many hotels are unable to accomplish. A very small but discernible highlight of this place which I love is that they offer a good selection of tea in small individual pots. Price wise is a tad premium but it is indeed worthy of its offerings.

We went to the restaurant for the lunch of Saturday. The price for each pax is ++69.8, and they got a discount for the second one for half price. So in the end the price turned out to be around 60/each. The environment was good. The service was slightly not timely and not ideal. The food was good. So I gave four stars for the minus of one star due to the service.

Probably one of the best ala carte buffet offerings in town at the moment. Being avid buffet lovers, we continued going to intl buffets during the Covid'19 period and noticed a drop in standard in many locations. Every single dish served at Beach Road Kitchen on the other hand, was prepared fresh and immaculately plated. The clam chowder & Italian dishes (especially the green curry risotto) are a must-try, and the tomato burrata was awesome as well. Went on a Sat afternoon and the service was impeccable! Chefs were going around with push carts to serve specialty dishes that were prepared on the spot as well. 10/10 would recommend :D

Beach Road kitchen has a really nice spread for their buffet. For seafood lovers youโ€™d really love their selection of crab, oysters etc. unfortunately Iโ€™m not but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Be it the meats, pastas/pizzas or the deserts and even simple things like salads and cheese it all tasted pretty good. Not gonna raise your expectations and says itโ€™s great coz itโ€™s not but itโ€™s still really good. I think my only disappointment of the night was the Chinese selection. You could probably get a better selection at a cai fan store. Other than that Iโ€™d definitely recommend this place to families looking for a good and comfortable place to dine

I had the pleasure of indulging in the hotel's lunch buffet, and it was an incredible culinary journey! The variety of food on offer was impressive, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. From fresh seafood to a delectable selection of grains and bread, and even diverse cuisines like South Indian, Chinese, and Italian, there was something to satisfy every palate. What truly stood out was the desserts station, which was an interesting fusion of local flavors. The Nonya pastries and local-flavored ice cream were a delightful departure from the ordinary. They showcased the rich and unique tastes of the region, adding a special touch to the meal. A highlight of the buffet was the superb fresh oysters and sashimi. These delectable seafood options were incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, making them a must-try for anyone visiting the buffet.

Located directly opposite Suntec City. It was slightly difficult to locate the restaurant due to no signage but managed to find it after rounding around. Warmly welcomed by the staff upon stepping in with a gigantic fancy looking door. There were many varieties of cuisines to choose from. Our favourite top pick would be the sashimi/cold section, followed by the dessert which has a chocolate fondue to dip with your chosen dessert. The ice cream was great too, vanilla flavoured actually has vanilla pods in it! Hot-production foods were great too, beef steaks, lamb chops and salt baked crab were one of the many that I liked! Per pax was around $108 excluding gst and service charge. Overall, it was worth the price and definitely will be back again! Lastly, shout-out to all the friendly staff that always kept our drinks filled with a smile!

Lovely lunch buffet with good variety of food. Was pleasantly surprised to find oysters even on a weekday lunch and plump ones at that. Didn't manage to try everything, but the standouts were the seafood section and the underrated cheese selection. But what really elevated the dining experience was the impeccable staff; I saw the chef (head chef?) walking around to recommend food, the manager (I assume) checking in on us, and the servers topping up our cups with water and clearing our plates ever so efficiently. Everyone was just so warm and hospitable. Reasonably priced as well, with discount for certain credit cards. Will be back!

The seafood quality was great! Lobsters were fresh and huge oysters! But the cooked food, especially the laksa and chilli crabs weโ€™re disappointing. Not spicy enough and the chilli crab sauce was too sticky and sweet. The desserts were also not replenished after people took. And their tables are really too small for the plates, nearly dropped my drink and utensils. Thanks for the mango cake for my wedding anniversary.

Finally the Beach Road Kitchen buffet a.k.a. Chef-On-Show Buffet has reopened and it was great experience to dine in with quick reservation through Chope and very convenient to do so. The tastinesses & freshness of all varieties of foods, seafoods, vegetables, soups, desserts are on par and excellent for their day one of the year. The service crews are well trained, warm welcoming attitude, prompt to all requests from customers. Specially thanks for Ali given such a professional and thoughtful services. The dinning environment was cheerfully good and pleasant sitting area with proper safe distancing measures in place. A very good place for family and couples to enjoy their special meals on special events or even regular diners. Appreciated Beach Road Kitchen has made my special day a wonderful one. Surely I will be back together with my family.

Good variety of food. Seafood was fresh. Pizza was good. Prompt and attentive service from staff. Restaurant was not overly crowded for lunch. I will come back again in future. Would be good if the toilet outside the restaurant could be better ventilated as it was quite warm. Restaurant should consider providing complimentary carpark for diners.

We love this place. This is a buffet all you can eat restaurant. 80% of the menu are seafood. Very fresh! Safe your tummy for the fresh oysters, libster bisque, the japanese food and the cheese station. Staffs are attentive. Good price for the food. 1 person approx S$ 98 (before tax). My suggestion is always start with the raw food first then to a more rich flavour menus. Nice music and ambiance. We really enjoy our night.

    - Had company buffet lunch at Beach Road Kitchen 2 weeks back. Pros: - seafood/cold dishes/sashimi/fruits/vegs/cheese. Pretty complete selections. - spread of food was impressive, even expensive stuff like lobster snow crab were all always in stock - dessert cakes were plentiful / colourful and flavourful. Cons: - price-wise relatively expensive for lunch even with credit card discount of 15% - surprised at this price point there was no free parking even though we had more than 15 people.

Came here for buffet breakfast on my marriot stay. Had my hit and miss. Food is high quality and variety is reasonably good. My personal favourite was the high quality pastries, grilled breakfast section and very tasty fruit slices. Hotel fruits slices are usually mediocre, so kudos on the attention of detail. The issue I had was that we're being tossed around on the 45 mins time limit. First time in my many years of hotel stay around the world that I'm being hurried away while eating. Breakfast is my Zen time, I want to eat my omellete and chill sipping coffee, this isn't prison cafeteria.

Canโ€™t rave enough about their smoked salmon and cheese selections for breakfast. They also make amazing laksa. Dim sum and Indian curry are also quite good.

Very good spread of food with high quality. The lobster, sashimi, crab and prawns were great. So was the roast beef. Good spread of dessert. The crispy waffles deserve special mention. Drinks such as coffee and tea and orange juice were part of the buffet. Service was attentive. The great thing about this place was they made sure they replenished food very quickly and everyone could get the good stuff quickly. It was great to have a meal with family at this place.

One of the better buffets for lobsters. Sunday lunch is at $148/pax. Very fresh oysters, king crab and other seafood. Thereโ€™s also a large selection of cooked local food and grilled meats. Thereโ€™s even a pizza oven with 3-4 different kinds of pizza. Very good spread of food and even though itโ€™s our 2nd visit we still canโ€™t finish trying everything thatโ€™s displayed. Staff are very attentive and food never seems to run out and plates are always cleared very quickly. Highly recommend.

We had Christmas brunch on a Sunday. It was not cheap but there was a DBS discount and the quality of the food was good. From the fresh seafood on ice to appetisers to roasted turkey and meats to salad to cooked food to pizza to desserts, there were so many varieties to try. The raw oysters, scallops and prawns, lobsters, and crab legs were fresh! As for the cooked food, the truffle mash potato was good. We also tried some other cooked meat. There were also chili crabs and black pepper crabs. As for the desserts, it's either hit and missed. Some were nice but others were not so. The staff was friendly and attentive. They were fast at clearing our plates every time we finished our course. Overall, it was a great place to have good quality seafood buffet.
