A food haven housing most of our local delights and at super reasonable prices. They have kept their prices constant over the years and of course maintained the same quality. Plenty of famous household brands which have been here since decades ago and still going strong. From Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, Yong Tau Foo, Fish Soup, to Rojak, Soya Bean Milk, and Ice Kachang. The range is amazing and options aplenty. Overall spacious, generally clean and enough seats to cater for the lunch crowd - mostly the office workers and elder folks. Queue moves pretty fast as well. Kind of reminds me of golden shoe complex along Market Street. One of my top few local hawker destinations. There’s also a whole floor (level 3) of the same building which markets dried goods, herbs, and Chinese medication. Only downside is that they only mostly accept cash payments.

Food heaven and a lot of fun. I make sure even though I'm on a business trip to come and eat at this place every day.. See photos it's not only the food it's the people. Extremely friendly I've had so many wonderful conversations with people I share tables with. I'm in love of delicious food unites all of us. This is worth your time if you visit Singapore.

As a prawn noodle lover, decided to try the "火城大虾面". The soup is indeed robust and flavourful. The noodle is yummy with the tasty chilli paste. However, the pork rib is a bit tough, with mild favour. The prawns are ok. In terms of eating experience, it is quite a pain to try de-shell the prawn with the filmsy delicate disposable spoon and chop stick. For $7.50, one would expect at least some decent cutlery. For prawn soup lover, it is still recommended.

Noisy atmosphere and not-so-clean tables. However, I must admit that this place is really a go to place for lunch for students!!! ^^ But if you're someone like me who likes to stay clean and avoid the covid virus, it's better to takeaway your lunch. So far, I've tried (all takeaway!): • 阿婆饭店菜饭 (1 meat and 1 vege: $3.50) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quite delish ^^ Tastier than 一日三餐 and didn't feel that thirsty as I expected, compared to 一日三餐's one. Traditional in flavour. I ordered rice with kong pao chicken and stir fried broccoli. The aunty was friendly but a little teasing. But it's okay 😂 Definitely will come back when there's time! • 四马路卤面 (叉烧炸鸡扒卤面: $4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5) The aunty is thoughtful and friendly, but a bit slow. That's why the slow waiting time of 30 minutes. That's why I didn't have enough time to enjoy my food since I had something on very soon 🥹🥺 But it's really, really tasty 🥰 the sauce is well mixed, with a good garlicky taste and a lot of ingredients!!! Next time if I go there and takeaway, I'm going to savour and enjoy every bite! • [滨城人]滨城虾面 ($5.30) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service is good. Portion medium, but it resembles exactly like the real one I've tried in Penang! But not coming back since I cannot spend more than $5 😅 my dad's rule. • Hougang Ming Ji Fried Wanton Noodle ($4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service is good and portion size is alright ^^ the fried wanton is actually quite nice, but it caused me to have ulcers because it may be too edgy :') but quite tasty. Will come back one day for the non fried wanton noodles. ;-; ^^ • 炸鱼卤面 (forgot the stall name 😅) ($4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5) The aunty is nice and friendly. The portion is slightly less than the 四马路卤面, but the fried fish is really crispy 🥰 but maybe needs more fish meat wrapped inside the batter. Other than that, it's really really tasty! I was nodding repeatedly when I was eating because it's so delicious! 😋 Will come back again for sure! Plus it's time saving! 😂 It only takes me about 35 minutes to finish my lunch! Despite the smaller portion and lesser amount of ingredients compared to the 四马路 one, I still feel full, which is great! 😂 (Update) The炸鸡扒卤面is the best!!! The炸鸡扒is really really crispy, although the meat can be more. But it's good! ^^ I somehow became a regular over there since it's convenient and also the 卤面 is very tasty. 四马路卤面may be slightly better but this stall is the no. 1 go to when I have only an hour break!!! • Tong Tong Fatt Chicken Rice ($3.50) ⭐⭐ Well....$3.50 isn't really filling :') And the boss isn't really friendly, either. I got fooled by the number of news report about Lee Hsien Loong visiting this particular stall. But honestly, it's not really as tasty as I expected. The chicken rice near my area, which is in Sembawang Sun Plaza, is definitely tastier than this. Ma ma dei. Not coming back again. ;-; • (update) Fragrance Blue Pea Flower Nasi Lemak, Economic Bee Hoon: Rendang Chicken Rice ($4.00) ⭐⭐⭐ Only three stars because the service isn't really good. The lady was fierce and a bit condescending. I bought rendang chicken rice set. It's good, but really spicy. The chicken is a bit bloody so I didn't finish it. Definitely subpar. I even forgot the name of the stall, but now I know since I've done some research. Nope. I'm not coming back again because it's too spicy and the service isn't that good. I haven't include any pics other than the 虾面 and the 菜饭😂 I'm going to update the pictures when I go to these places again! But not the chicken rice and the nasi lemak 🌚

Came to try the pork rice but it was just average and not worth photo taking. Waited almost 30 mins. But the bean spouts with Cockles was good! 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ goes to them.

Popular hawker food and gets crowded during meal times on all days. Some with long queue at popular stalls. This Indian rojak stall has been here for long and taste the same. Located at the other end of the centre when one comes from the direction of the Mrt station. Supposedly to offer cashless transactions & CDC voucher, but all not accepted except cash. "Just opened" was the reason for accepting cash only. Price increase after a year from $0.10 to $0.50. Some food item price are not shown. A few stalls beside is the Malay stall. Had the lontong without added chilli. Good for non-chilli eaters. Another old time fave Chwee kueh (水粿). Taste of preserved radish (topping) is just right. Opposite soya drink stall

Not the same as it used to be. Stalwarts like Ah Seng noodle gone. When 2nd or 3rd generations took over, it seems like they continue not out of passion or choice but no choice. Look at the characterless Lontong with all premade chili and serunding

Albert Centre Food Centre is located at the Bugis and Rochor area which is known for shopping, worship and hungry belly with lots of good food to eat. With so many sales ongoing, there is a good percentage that you will end up at Bugis Junction for retail bargains that goes as low as 50% off. Whether you are there for the ultimate shopping experience or for worship at many of the institutions such as Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, Sri Krishnan Temple or St Joseph’s Church, a meal at the Albert Centre hawker is a must. Not only will you find the best variety of local Singaporean favourite street aka hawker food, you can also get them at pocket friendly cheap prices.

小烘炉Difference Bakery is a small bakery stall that daily sells freshly baked bread bun traditional snacks at reasonable prices. To some it might be slightly expensive. However, you get good stuffs unlike some suck blood stalls all over Singapore! In the past, older generations hawker stalls owner ensures food sold is hygienic, nutritious and portion is enough to keep the workers stomach full and healthy. They have a good heart! Nowadays many stalls are franchised and rental is high. Singaporean need to watch out for what they are eating. The Bakery is not in Albert food center. It is located at the coffee shop in Blk 269B Queen Street. Blk 269B is in front of the Chinese temple. I enjoyed the Coconut Bun. Curry Times also has coconut buns. I must say these two places produced the most authentic coconut buns that are in the 60s,70s! Brought back a piece of childhood memories. All those other buns can step aside 🤭🤭🤭

Being a local, I'm surprised I have never stepped foot into Albert Centre. If not for the fact that I had to replace the wheels of my suitcase, I would not have discovered such a gem in Singapore! The food is really great, and it's a paradise upstairs where so many experienced and seasoned local folks shop and look for all kinds of treasure... I read from other reviewers how this place will be really crowded nearing Lunar New Year - I can so see why!

My favorite hawker centre to go to. Gets really busy during lunch time so go early or late or else you won't find a table! The Hainanese Chicken is great here! And the wonton noodles!

One of the younger dish cleaner was really hardworking and kind! She is always on the move, bringing rubbish to be cleared, checking if hawkers need help with clearing their rubbish, and going around to collect the empty plates and bowls! Food is really cheap and nice here. Good central area for all tourist to come and try local speciality. Will definitely be back to try more food, so the next time when my overseas friends come, will bring them here.

Delicious and affordable hawker fare in this place. Tons of quality food selection to choose from. If you are doing a hawker hop then this is definitely the place to check out in Bugis. No air con so be prepared to sweat as you devour your plate of Nasi Lemak

After looking through reviews, tried to look for the Indian rojak and bak chor Mee stalls but they were closed. Wanted to eat the pig trotters but it was $18 for 1. Too big for 2 women so we settled on the HK soy sauce chicken rice and noodles. Good choice. Very nice and tender meat. Had the ngoh hiang mixture too but forgot to take pixs. Was average. Hubby tarpao the fried carrot cake and chui kueh. He like them very much.

Just wanted to alert anyone who comes here to buy abalone for cny. My elderly mum who is not v educated had bought expired cans of abalone at Albert centre but the seller shouldn't have sold expired cans, mixing with new ones. This is unscrupulous of the retailer. One of the cans had the date modified with marker. My mum doesn't know the retailer name and didn't issue any receipt. Hope this helps anyone! Be careful

Being a Malaysian resident, I can't say the food is all that great here. I had the Indonesian food which I had to lines up some time for. The lady who served me was like angry with life, she scary. I could forgive it if the food was good, but it was just edible. Besides, I don't think she was Indonesian either. There's a lot of other food here too, it's hard to pick out which ones might be good. It's hard to get a table, so we had to share with an old couple who were very nice and gave us tips to eat in other places that we can't remember. If there's any saving grace of this place, it's that you might stumble into conversations with complete strangers. Make sure you put away your plate after to help the lady to clean up.

Local hawker scene within the tourist area..there is a wide range of food choices in this hawker center, currently still reasonable priced.. At the third level, there are the sundry shops which sells dried mushrooms, dried seafood, Chinese new year goodies relatively cheaper than other parts of Singapore. I usually go there to buy roasted cashew nuts, macadamia nuts, and tidbits. Love the vibes there.. Lol

Busy local hawker center with many food options. Around 5 minutes walk from Bugis / Rochor MRT station. Cleanliness is okay. Foods taste is okay and reasonably priced. Most of stalls that offering halal food are located in the north tip of the hawker complex, I think there about 6-7 stalls. They are selling Malaysian / Indonesian / Indian food. I was happy trying to have local breakfast here, the youtiao and soy milk taste great, a perfect choice to start a day!

I need to begin this review thanking uncles stall that sells beer. Thank you for the $5.5 500ml ice cold tigers that kept me and Christian alive all trip. Now enough praise. Wait, no. More praise. This area is packed full of amazing food. Yes it's a little messy and probably needs customers to clean up after themselves but the food covers all those gaps. Green chilli chicken, crispy wontons and a cheap yet well executed oyster omelette are all worth your time.

At level 3, great place for purchasing dried goods like mushrooms, seafood, nuts..In this period, lots of CNY snacks at great prices. Highly recommended for those who are looking for great bargains. Hawker ctr at level 1.

What else can you expect in a hawker centre but cheap food and messy place. But the place is tolerable since it is a hawker centre. We enjoyed the food and the price also. Love the congee, you tiao, Chicken rice, spinach soup, and ice crushed desserts. 10sgd for a meal is too much already.

The helper of Anthony Indonesia cuisine asked me what I want to eat, but the cook told me off rudely by saying the food is not ready ? I saw someone was eating at the table with the food ordered from the same store, very poor service indeed.
