Jigger and pony Booked a table for 3 and stayed until closing. Ordered 20 of the 24 cocktails and a few off menu recommendations. This was overall the best cocktail bar experience for us in all of Singapore and back home in NYC. There might be some bars in Singapore with a rooftop view or grander spaces, but if you want the best quality cocktails, hospitality, and experience—Jigger and Pony stands above the rest. You really can feel the passion and dedication to their craft right off the bat with their menu book which gives you a Michelin restaurant level of detail into each cocktail. The cocktails include modern classics and original creations that run the gamut of taste from light to strong and from sweet to spicy and everything in between. Since we ordered most of the cocktails, it did have the feel of a tasting menu. Some of my favorites were the Sweet Potato Opera which which paired so well with this chocolate slab that goes with it and the Penicillin which would make Milk&Honey proud. The vibe is energetic and is perfect for a conversation. Then there is the hospitality which I think is unrivaled in the cocktail bar realm. We got there at 8pm and until closing there it was without an empty seat newly all night. Despite that, every member of the team served each patron with such great service—it’s really something you don’t usually see in a busy place. This was especially true of Celina who served us for most of the night and was so fun and inviting. She gave us so many great recommendations (thanks again for the Ramos Gin Fizz!) and it really made for a memorable night for our last day in Singapore. Once we travel back to Singapore, this we’ll be first on our list.

Managed to walk in with no reservation on a weekday night. Outstanding service overall. Also really liked whole vibe of the place- it was all chill and laid back but still very classy. Music was also good and not too loud so you can still have a good conversation. Cocktails were excellent all round. No doubt deserving of Asia’s top bars!

This is exactly what I love in a cocktail bar, low lights, luxurious fittings, lounge music and highly skilled bartenders. Their take on Ramos gin fizz is something I have never seen before. The little red dot was another favourite. We went on a Sunday when they have Sunday Club when they invite known bartenders to spend the night at Jigger and Pony. We loved this idea. We returned to Jigger an Pony recently and I wanted to edit my review to say how impressed I was yet again, and to give a call out to the fabulous bartender Joash for Singapore’s best Ramos Gin Fizz.

Really nice spot for after work cocktails. Their happy hour ends at 7:30pm, so be sure to make a reservation for an earlier timing. Selected cocktails are priced at $18 and wines by the glass at $14 during happy hour. Service is top notch and the cocktails are very well made. However, the table we were seated at had a leak from the ceiling. It was a consistent drip from the ceiling onto my shoulder. I shifted my seat to avoid the drip, but a place as upmarket as this should really get this leaking problem fixed. Overall, great happy hour, exceptional cocktails, romantic ambience, but interior is in need of some maintenance.

Jigger and Pony is of course in the SG best bars list. If you like 1990s old-fashion bar vibe, you have to visit it. Hidden in the Amara hotel, people may ignore the gem among so many bistros in Tanjong Pagar area. However, i could always find some comforts after a hectic day here. My wife and I visited Jigger and Pony this time on a critical life turning point. For first round, I ordered old fashion and she chose Penicillin. The wife finished her drink very fast and figured out she got slightly drunk when our food were served. Penicillin is refreshing but fast drink will make you feel three inches off the ground. For the second round, the wife tried stronger drink Sakura Martini - you can tell the full blossom immersing into Roku gin and J&P home-made sake vermouth - the taste is dry with floral sweetness. I had Godfather - simple and direct. Both are in the Top5 strongest cocktails at J&P. Needless to praise the classy drinks, the service and free-flow chips also satisfy customers a lot. And the team will add restrained(in a good way) innovation into the menu time by time. In summary, my key words for Jigger & Pony are classy and implicit.

Our first time here. We totally understand why they are one of the best bars in the world. Excellent drinks, wonderful and exceptionally friendly staffs and amazing food. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and they went out of their way to make it so special. They didn't have too but they did despite a busy crowded Friday. Thank you so much J&P team!

Hip bar inside of a hotel. Honestly, a bit underwhelming for a “Top 12 bar in the world” according to an official Top50 bars ranking. Nothing is “special” here in terms of experience. Average cool atmosphere, average good cocktails. Prepare to wait if you haven’t reserved. Also drinks are on the higher end of the prices - around 30 SGD per drink. Nice to visit if you’re in the area. Not worth to travel for, if you are curious about the ranking nomination

Had the Clover Club, Honey Magnum, and the Godfather. Enjoyed the Clover Club the most in terms of flavors, textures, and volume. Would order it again if I had a chance. The Honey Magnum came with a light biscuit in the shape of a honeycomb - would be awesome if an actual bit of honeycomb came with the drink! This one was somewhat underwhelming as it was a small serving I had to sip ever so slowly so as to extend the enjoyment. The Godfather had a good start but seemed to water down too quickly. They have lots of other drinks to choose from which I would be happy to go back for. Service is great — awesome attitude from the staff. Chill ambience. Conducive place to have great conversations over interesting drinks.

A hidden place inside the ground floor of Amara hotel, it’s on your left when you come inside of the front door of the hotel. Cozy and fancy here, the vibes were fantastic! The spicy chips were tasty, and you can eat as much as you want, the waiters will come to refill. The cocktail here are quite special, and each cocktail has their own story that you can see that on the menu. I recommend the “Godfather”, really great whiskey cocktail with Umeshu. A it strong but you won’t regret it!

All-around stars for this place. Bar manager is super friendly and so is their team. Came in thinking of having a cocktail each, left after drinking 5 cocktails because we couldn’t help ourselves. We didn’t have a reservation but lucked out by coming on a weekday night. After a short wait, we were seated at the bar and had a first-hand view into how they made cocktails. The menu is done so professionally, and each cocktail hit the spot. Absolutely delighted by Ugly tomato & the classic yuzu whisky sour. Love the partnerships they do with local producers and the sustainability story. Reminded us of the Parisian bar Little Red Door, but waaaay better. And tastier. Team was always attentive, friendly and helpful. Can definitely see why they’ve won so many accolades. Will be back next time we’re in Singapore!

Easy reservation booking online. Easy to find as it’s a hotel bar. Mixed seating with good views of the mixology at the bar. Service was friendly. Menu was fun with a quick menu of ingredients and more detailed description throughout. Could have been a bit better organized but otherwise fine. Old fashioned was good. Yuzu sour was well balanced.

My husband and I visited Jigger & Pony on our recent trip to Singapore and we had an amazing experience. Our bartender Gerald was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, made great conversation, and even gave us some recommendations for additional places to visit during our trip. We received great service and the ambience and cocktails were also amazing. I can’t recommend Jigger & Pony and their staff enough. 5 star experience!

Visited the bar last night with a few friends and had a great time. The staff are attentive and quick to answer to our needs. Cocktails were great and doesnt tastes watered down (recommend giving Penicillin a try). Be sure to make reservations if you plan to visit.

Love the experience at J&P especially with Selina's wonderful service! She was super helpful with explaining the drinks and helping us with our choices. And when we were feeling cold, she offer to turn off the ac for a bit and gave us warm water. Was really touched by such meticulous service! Kudos fellow Scorpion!😂👍👍👍 As for the drinks, personal favourites are Yuzu Whisky, Soy Milk Punch & Clover! Definitely deserved to be rated one of the best bars! 💯

Last visited in Mar 2023 Have been to Jigger & Pony multiple times and I think it’s one of the best cocktail bars in Singapore. The food items are quite decent too and pairs well with the drinks. The ‘impossible bread’ food item is my favourite. Go with a few friends and try out as many cocktails as you can 🙂 The bartenders are quite helpful and can recommend you drinks based on your preferences. Great ambience too. The only recommendation would be to make a reservation before going because it is not always possible to get a seat if you do a walk in. A 100% recommendation. Jigger & Pony is worth visiting once every while. Will be back again soon.

If you go at drinking time, you may need to queue for 2 hours, but we went at nearly 12am, the bar was still full. you can ask the staff for any question, they are very knowledgeable and able to suggest you based on your preference. Waiting was not long, there’s still people coming in at 12:45am. Olive was good, roughly $36+ a cocktail. Super nice place!

Located in a corner in Amara hotel, this is one of the world’s top bars. Visited for the first time and also on the weekends during a special event. Recommended to reserve this place early, they impose a $50 charge if you were to cancel your reservation last minute or not show up at all. Reservation slots were in two hours duration, which is a comfortable and appropriate time Lighting in this place was nice and a good mixture of dimness and brightness. It created a cosy and nice ambience Service was great. Staff were attentive and refilled our water constantly. When we first arrived, the staff (didn’t get his name) checked if it was our first time there. He proceeded to patiently explain to us how things work, the menu, the event that was happening etc. Shawl was available on request if it was too cold. We happened to get a good seat which was along the walls and able to overlook almost the entire bar. Reserved under ‘Lounge Table’ Price-wise, it was $28 for most cocktails. Cocktails were unique and well-described on the menu with pictures for each cocktail Overall worth a visit and definitely will be back!

Nice ambience. Friendly staffs. Amazing cocktails. Fancy and interesting menu, with detailed explanation of each cocktails. And free flow of snacks :) Can’t decide on what to order as everything looks so good. Wanted to bring their menu back, it’s just way too cool to keep it. One of the staffs explained to me, asked for my preference and helped me to make decision. I must say it’s the best cocktail bar in Singapore. They are always fully booked, so make sure you make a reservation beforehand.

Tucked away bar smack in town. Really nice place, background noise at right level for chatting, amazing selection of unique cocktails. Service was immaculate from the time we reach till the moment we left. Only regrets is not being able to stay longer as they are really booked out. Was informed of our time to leave however they were really polite doing so. Ended up in a nearby rooftop bar to round 2 as night was still early. Highly recommend place to visit where possible

This place goes down in my list of favorite places in Singapore because of its theme and how much they adhere to it. From the decore to music, all the way to the choice of cocktails. Great job with the interior design. The service is an unmistakable A+.

Great bar, definitely worth a stop. The cocktail list is diverse and interesting. I found myself wanting to try many of them. The service is also quite good and the bartenders are knowledgeable. You are best off making a reservation as it gets pretty busy.

(Top service, novel cocktails, perfect bar atmosphere) My partner and I went to the place for their unique cocktails (we each tried 3 different ones, he almost got a second Yuzu Whisky cause it hits all the right spots). The drinks were definitely as memorable as the stories behind each concoction (read their magazine that accompany the menu .... or just ask the knowledgeable bartenders). We sat at the bar table and the bartender, Joash Conceicao was attending to us that night. Joash has a way of making you feel like you're a VVIP and also like a friend. We felt really comfortable and enjoyed our night thoroughly. (Many thanks to Joash!) The ambience felt like something straight out of the movie and personally (selfishly) I prefer the lighter crowd because of Covid-19 restrictions. The amount of buzz and chatter makes you feel like you're at the right place on a Friday night.

Special place. Classy yet chill. Music is unique and we manage to get the bar seat where we get to see the cocktail in the making. The drinks are special and localised. Favourite drinks would be the Soy milk Punch, Champagne Cocktail. All the service attendant are attentive and friendly we're had a great time!!

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Came here on a weekday to check out their offerings for happy hour and I was not disappointed. I ordered a negroni and a whiskey sour, both were equally as great. They were strong and not watered down at all. Highly recommended and I will be back to taste the rest of the menu 😉 Great ambience as well.

What a disappointment: being #9 in World’s Best and #2 in Asia’s Best lists with quite an intriguing menu, this bar turned out to produce very uneven cocktails, none of which owned up to their description or the bar’s status. We tried quite a few and felt like the other bars in the city had a lot more to offer. (They did use nice champagne in Jasmine & Rice - at least this justified the price.)

Was able to walk in on a weekday evening without reservation. The bar is huge with two floors and two service counters on the upper and lower floor. The ambience was great and lighting was perfect to set a nice enjoyable mood. Service was tip top and very engaging, they explain the menu and the drinks ordered. Drinks were great. Ordered the Madame President, loved that it came with a campari Lollipop. Came with a nice side dish snack - chips, as well. Overall a pleasant experience at one of the best bars in Asia. Will definitely return.

I like the uniform of the bartenders, like proper mixologists! This bar, situated in the old Amara Hotel, offers plenty choice of cocktails. They have their own menu book, called Identity Menuzine. So you can read thru and check what you would order. I walked about an hour, so I needed something to refresh. Then I ordered bramble. And next up, I ordered French Martini, becos I saw Chambord.. but none were that good. bramble too much ice bits, and French Martini wasn't exactly what I anticipated, no pineapple flavour. BUT if you stick to the recommendation, you will discover true IDENTITY of the bar. I highly recommend Pony Martini. Never a big fan of Roku Gin, but sakura flavour can be so much pronounced in such a balance. Aged for a day at -10. Really great one. It's like vesper but better. And I also had Negroni. It's aged also, very well balanced. And the last up, I had vesper mixed by the bar manager, Uno Jang! One of the best. Quite expensive tho, SGD 28 per glass on average. But worth the stop, if you're a cocktail connoisseur.

Expected more of supposedly Asia’s 50 best bars. Arrived for their happy hour but got charged full price for one of the drinks. We ordered several cocktails to try - the cocktails aren’t exactly innovative for what you pay and the taste is just average. Food menu was extremely limited so we decided to skip the food and left feeling hungry.

Screams sophistication from the moment you enter. The drinks were nice, more on the classics and not exactly revolutionary, but classics that they do very well. The table comes with unlimited crisps, which by the way can be challenging to book, make sure to put in a reservation days before since they're usually packed. The staff is lovely and extremely accommodating. At the end of the night, left with more to be desired. But hoping to get it during my next visit, they're not in 50best for nothing.

Top 3 bars I’ve ever been to. Very creative yet delicious drinks, fun interior, great cups (underrated!!), and the most amazing bartender, Gabriel. We went late night for drinks with some colleagues, we already new that they close at 1am but we still decided to run and go. We arrived at 12.30, and despite they were doing the last call, they offered us a round of cocktails. Since the moment we sat at the bar Mei took care of us like no one else did in Singapore, she is amazing! Super hospitable, nice, friendly, made our cocktails super fast and was on top of everything the hole time. Unfortunately we realized that one of our friends drop his phone at the cab on our way, but Mei was there for us and rushed to help us to try to find it. She took her time to call at the taxi's companies, and did her best to helped us. Thats real hospitality! Thanks to all the team and keep doing what re you doing guys!

This is my absolutely favorite bar in Singapore, this is my 6th visit and I always loved the constantly reliable good friendly personalized service. The cocktail collection is AMAZING and they have a taste for everyone. If you get confused, ask one of the friendly waiters and they would love to explain the drinks and recommend which one would be suitable for your taste. The bar was founded by a Singapore Girl (SIA) and that’s why the service is really good. We came when they had a brief shut down in the Amara hotel, and they gave us a free Prosecco! The crowd is a mix of locals and expats. The bar plays a modern mix of 30s music while having the same theme in the bar. Very much recommended!

Came here for late night drinks with friends and was pleasantly surprised by the contrast and complexities of the drinks on offer. Kudos goes to their staff, who made their rounds and ensured that our water was regularly topped up and our spicy tapioca chips were constantly topped up (I think this is our 12th bowl?) and making us feel like a million bucks. I will return for their drinks & service for sure (:

Fantastic cocktail bar. Well-executed cocktails, wonderful service. Menu is a treat to read - Monocle-inspired design, lots of choices. Decent selection of spirits, but not overwhelmingly so. The happy hour (5-8pm) is well worth it, and their Sakura Martini is superlative - surprisingly briny, hint of smoke and fruity sake notes mixed with classic dry gin botanicals. A must-visit for any lovers of fine drinks.

Aside from the great aesthetic and wonderful cocktails, I think one thing they don't get enough credit for is excellent use of space – they've managed to pack 2 fully-stocked bars into a concept space that spans two sections, and is just so well-designed! Great place for groups, small or large.

Nice bar tucked away in the Amara hotel. The entrance seems hidden but you need to hit a buzzer for someone to let you into the sliding doors. The ambience is relaxed with mellow lighting. Drinks are prepared well and the staff is courteous.

Love the food and ambience here. A very quiet place for lunch. I notice a wine and spirit area and perhaps one can open a bottle and keep it here. The window looking out gives a sense of zenness and humility perhaps advicing one to live a simple and austere life. Food here is authenticity at its most natural form, one saviour the original taste of the food.

Tucked away clevery behind an archway at the Amara hotel lobby, jigger and pony is a quaint, beautifully elegant cocktail bar with chic manhattan-styled interiors and a relaxing background score. Leave your troubles at the door and indulge in some of the finest cocktails. Their Old Fashioned is any whiskey lover's dream. Definitely worth coming back ?

Fantastic bar, good ambience, music not too loud, nice wait staff (Elle) and what an amazing White Russian... made properly with a layer of cream on top... only the 3rd bar I’ve ever found that can do it properly. A nice thing for me is that the bar didn’t have that pretentious air that some of other more well known bars in Singapore have so I felt much more relaxed

  • 4/5 Giorgio C. 3 years ago on Google
Very high quality of both product and service. Not a surprise, considering the attention to details and quality that the overall group has (Humpback, Gibson...). But I have to say that the environment is nowhere near compared to the old J&P, the one in Amoy Street right beside the amazing Sugarhall (restaurant from the same group, closed a few years back). Not sire what it was, but I guess the hotel in whit the new J&P sits is a little older and some of the interior of the speakeasy feels a little dated. Consider also that I have visited this place twice and both during the amazing COVID season... so not as vibrant or cool as it could be I'm afraid. Then again, amazing drinks and service is all you need!

Ranked on both the 50 best bars in Asia, and 50 best bars in the world, I went here with a lot of expectations. The place is classy with a very speakeasy/art deco vibe. Service is prompt and courteous. Their menu is very interesting and beautifully presented with a history of the bar and the drinks. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

(Translated by Google) Be sure to make an appointment. Chope will also charge a deposit of $25, so you can’t deduct that $25 when you pay. The bar is located on the first floor of the Amara Hotel. Before I went, I knew that the cocktails were famous, but the food was also very delicious. It may be because the space is too big, there are 2 bars, so the atmosphere is not so good. The service is also good, but 90 minutes is not enough for everyone to drink 2 cups and eat.

Really good cocktails and they make them stiff (crimson bullet is a must have for mezcal lovers). Good bar food especially the bikini sandwich, smoked daikon and Gula melaka sago. The service staff was absolutely amazing (knowledgeable, polite and could hold a conversation) and the seating was comfortable (take note some other bars with terrible chairs/stools wherein I have follow up with a physio appointment)

Staff very rude and mean . Was try to get table with important business deal and may take longer than 2 hours and when I call to extend the booking ( follow by the email the guide to me if not I don’t even book the table) and the male staff confident say no table for me to extend ( which online still can book ) . And when I book follow but the staff confident say no table ( it’s still have table because my online booking was confirm) when I arrived the female staff try to make difficult again ( which the place do empty) my clients heard my story and pulse service he want to go back to his private bar ( if you want seriously service high flying clients don’t book here it’s will kill your Bussines)

Coming to the drinks, tried few (jungle bird 👍, yuzu whiskey sawer and last one an improvisation from the barmen with few guidelines.... All good 👌🤗 Let yourself being tempted with Spain Parm ... So go and enjoy the place, prices are similar to other places of this quality, food sounds even cheaper Judge by yourself with the photo enclosed ... But better to go 😃

Absolutely one of my best bar experiences. Waiters were really attentive and courteous. Even though it was a friday and the place was fully booked, the staff tried her best to get me a slot. Love the tunnel-like light decor that extends to another bar area, creates a futuristic setting. The entire bar resemblance those in Europe. There’s also happy hour promo. Wished that there were more selections on the HH cocktails.

I wonder why I have never stepped in here before despite working around the area for 5 years and also a cocktails lover. Perhaps the fact it’s too accessible (at the lobby of Amara hotel) made me think I can come any day anyway. But glad I finally made my pilgrimage and was not disappointed by the drinks though the ambience is pretty typical of a bar. We ordered a jungle bird (asian twist) and a safe Yuzu whisky sour. Service is friendly and they even helped me take order (last order at 930 during covid). The bar is crowded with regulars and we saw plenty of foreigners too.

Beautiful environment to enjoy a cocktail and have conversations. Staffs are friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. Checking on dietary preference before serving snacks. Would recommend the hall of fame, Negroni and Godfather. Madame President can be a little sweet with the lollipop. Crimson bullet has a very strong beetroot flavor, good as a starter drink. Overall pleasant experience!

Environment was posh and cosy at the same time and I really enjoyed my time here. Service was excellent; wait staff was attentive and my glass of water was never empty. Food and drinks left me wanting more tho - the food choices were rather selected and slightly underwhelming. Tried the Jamon Iberico Toast and the smoked salmon cones. The latter was the highlight of the night as I enjoyed the saltiness of the dish. The former however was essentially 2 pieces of ham and bread for $24... the Clover Club cocktail was decent enough but left me wishing it came with a double shot instead. Would still recommend popping in for a cocktail or 2 pre/post dinner just to soak in the really relaxed atmosphere 👍🏼 also hoping to see more exciting concoctions in the future

Probably THE best place in Singapore for cocktails. Their cocktails are unique. Their Yuzu Whiskey Sour (pic:1) is a must try. Crimson Bullet (pic:2), Journey of the West (pic:3) and Madame President are phenomenal. I personally like their use of Maker's Mark as the base for whiskey/bourbon based cocktails. Prices are reasonable and they provide complimentary chips, a simple yet brilliant pairing with the cocktails.

This was a lovely place to enjoy a few cocktails after a meal out with friends. They were prompt with the alcohol clearing at 1030 but gave us plenty of warning at 10 and 1015 to make sure we weren't rushing. The wait staff were polite and had no issue replacing a drink when the wrong order was bought to the table. Drinks were tasty and subtle variations on classics. Would recommend to friends to visit.

Proud that SG has a bar that took the No.1 spot on the list of Asia's 50 Best Bars 2020! Awesome friendly, sincere and attentive service by the floor staff. Friendly enough to make you feel welcome and attended too, but not overbearing that you feel you are required to make a long conversation with them. Big compliments to Celina (if I am not wrong) who noticed my body language that I was cold (and under the dim lights!) and immediately brought a shawl to me. 🙏🏻 This may be usually overlooked by others, but really good job to the team behind the menu/magazine-really interesting stories about the origins of the drink and really beautiful photography of the drinks. 👍🏻 Psst, for other teetotallers out there, try the Grape Spritz mocktail, it’s a tart and refreshing drink!

This is my second visit. Sit at bar hence was able to get more commendation from bartenders (and yes some nice treats from them also). Tired 3 cocktails, soy milk punch, espresso martini and can’t remember🤦‍♀️. Food wise highly recommend the Jamón sandwich, bread is soft instead of crunchy, butter in between balanced well too.

One of the best bars in Singapore and Asia. Located at the Amara Hotel, jigger and Pony is a beautifully designed bar. Very well lit and designed on various levels. The bar is stunning, lighting on point and the tables are intimate and the entire decor takes one back to a different era. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The menu is beautifully designed. The cocktails we ordered were fantastic. The steward offered us a choice of vegan and chicken flavoured crisps. Highly recommend Jigger & Pony for anyone looking for proper cocktails in singapore. The quality of drinks and food and moreover, their fabulous service won't disappoint anyone.

Love this bar! Drinks, ambient and service they have it all. My wife and I had a great experience although didn’t have the chance to try their food. We asked if we can have one copy of the menu since it’s so artistic and magazine-like, the principle bartender Adrian, kindly gave us one and greet us himself 😊.

Super chill vibe for a higher end bar. Unlike the others, there’s no dress code. Only couple hours per reservations. I supposed for most people it is unlikely to drink much more unless you are soloing the party punch bowl (15-20 servings) ;) Favourite of the night is Sakura martini. Elegant, fun, and delicious.

My partner and I celebrated our 15th anniversary dinner at Jigger and Pony Cocktail Bar, and it was amazing. The bar has a cozy and elegant atmosphere that makes you feel special. The cocktails are superb, with a variety of flavors and ingredients. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they helped us choose the best drinks for our taste. We especially loved the Espresso Martini, the Negroni, the Yuzu Whiskey sour, and the Mango flavored cocktail drinks. We also enjoyed the hummus with bread, which was delicious and matched well with the cocktails. The staff surprised us with a champagne drink and a greeting card with our photo for our anniversary, which was very thoughtful and touching. We had an unforgettable evening at Jigger and Ping Cocktail Bar, and we can’t wait to go back. This is one of the best bars we have ever been to.

It's not hard to see why this is one of Asia's Top 50 Bars. The space was beautiful, classy and cozy all at the same time. I've been here twice both for the happy hour which ends at 7.30pm even on weekends (check their website for latest details). Although the happy hour menu is more limited but I think the cocktails are pretty good still.

Been wanting to try this as they are the 2nd best bar in Asia, making it 1st in Singapore. Getting a seat here might be difficult and you need to book in advance. They actually have 2 floors and the place was really packed but the place was still elegant. For the drinks, we tried most of them and all of them were good. The bartenders really make an effort to consistency and flavour. They have unique story to their cocktails as well. It was fun breaking that chocolate piece in my drink as well. They have limit bar bites and we ate before going inside so we just stick to the cassava chips. Mind you, it was more than enough and the quality was good. The bar staff are all very nice. We had multiple shots that were given to us and they will find and take time to chat with you even if they are busy. They are very professional but fun. A very nice experience indeed!

Had an enjoyable time on a friday evening. Staffs were welcoming and well trained. The place we're seated had lights flickering, while table beside us were too dark. Food was exceptional, would be better if there were more dessert to choose. Cocktail choices are interesting but lacking the abv. Service overall was awesome.

  • 2/5 Notry 6 months ago on Google
For a bar that's ranked 2nd best in Asia, I had great expectations. The atmosphere here was alright, a bit dated but nevertheless with an OK vibe. We didn't book on a Wednesday night and we were seated opposite each other on a long table, which was totally fine. But the waiters failed to check in on us when we were clearly ready, instead, went straight to people who arrived later than us. We had to wave and "excuse me" to get the attention. Funny enough, all other guests were provided with some snack chips, but not for us, even when we ordered some olives. We had to again "excuse me" to get the waiters to stop by, and asked "what is that?", pointing the chips that were left on an adjacent seat. The waiter was actually surprised by the question, and later, to the realisation that we weren't provided with any. We sat for a drink each and decided to leave for another spot. To our utter surprise, when we asked and checked the bill, there was $6 something charged as a service fee. "Excuse me" but where was the service? Even when my glass of water was empty, no waiters seemed to see it not refill it. Is bad service being charged now? The cocktail menu was interesting, and the cocktails, Dirty Martini and Ugly Tomatoes were alright. But not worth over $30 each, not to mention the, "excuse me" service.

Second time here, didn't realise there was an upper mezzanine the first time. Drinks were delicious but didn't look as good as they tasted. Loved the non-pita bread combi with hummus. Grilled cheese toast was elevated with the presentation and ingredients used. Ambience is chill, no loud music. Service felt personal.
