If we're rating just based on the beer, then Tap deserves 4 stars. They have a rotating collection of nice craft beers on draft, and the atmosphere is also very pleasant (sit outside along the Singapore Riverfront). However, Tap has a problem with customer service. They have a high turnover of staff. Few of them know how to pour a proper pint. They sell growlers here but the bartenders don't know how to fill them. You'll end up with 3 pints of beer and one pint of suds in your growler. More recently they've started selling annual memberships for $100.00. The membership gets you access to premium and limited release craft beers (like Double IPAs and Imperial Stouts, for example). However, since the COVID-19 restrictions they have stopped refilling their inventory of these premium beers.... so, why did you make me buy a $100.00 membership then? Check out the video of this dude putting a growler on a digital scale!! I've been to thousands of bars all over the world and I've never seen anyone weigh a growler. I even asked this guy "what are you measuring? What's the weight tell you?", but the poor chap couldn't answer the question.

April 2022: Stopped by for a pint and chill on Saturday afternoon. Food options have increased since I was here in January 2019. But the beer options seems to have shrunk a bit. Overall, I am glad this place made it through the pandemic. 👍 January 2019: Found a lot of very good 🍺 from the US. Decided to try one from Vietnam and one from Australia. Still a great place to try craft beer from around the world. Patio gets wet when it rains. June 2018: A great place to grab craft 🍺 - lots from the USA. The taps rotate quite often. They also give you a heads up of what's on deck. There are a few a local brrws... tried a Brewlander porter and session IPA. Food is pretty good too. On different occasions, I tried the flat bread pizza, the burger and the chicken sandwich. The food can be improved a bit. But overall, a great find.

Really nice relaxed place with loads of beers to choose - some great specials available for food and drinks. Good friendly service and nice experience

The ambiance is lovely next to the river which makes it a very chilled out place. The beer options are ample to choose from and some of them are recommended. However the food isn't up to the mark. The lemongrass chicken hardly had any flavor of the herb. The fried noodles came in a bowl of more oil and less curry. The Thai Green Curry tasted like some in-flight meal. They had dishes from many cuisines but clearly their expertise was in none of them.

Nice place right on the river. IPAs were good and some of the best in Singapore but still have a ways to go. Great service and nice vibe.

🏠 ambience is casual with both indoors and outdoors seating, not noisy so it’s perfect for a night out for conversations. Bar is by the river so it’s nice to take a walk in the evenings too. 🍽 Waygu rump steak and fries ($24) was tender and doneness quite on point. Curly fries were warm and crisp. Salsa mix side was tangy and fresh. Could use more salsa but they allowed us to ask for more portions. Red wine dip for steak was fantastic! Has a tinge of sweetness with robust flavours that doesn’t overpower the steak when combined. 🍻 $10++ per pint craft beers will make anyone’s day with more than 15 selections available. Wines are also at $10++ 💰 there’s burpple one for one mains or 3 for 3 beers offer available for members. Apart from that they have daily themed offers like free flow spam fries with purchase of a drink

Varied selection of good craft beer, efificient service, and good ambience. What's there not to like? Been here a few times to try the different beers they have and none has let me down.

Beer is OK. There are a lot better in Singapore. French fries come in a tower that just looks like a heart attack waiting to happen. An update on the above, I told the waiter re the French fries and he subtracted from my bill. I only ate 2 or 3 of them, as per the picture.

Went on a weekday, a couple of tables was occupied but service was expected as there was only 1 service staff. The current number of service staff is pretty common in SG, so don’t expect fast or attentive service, rather be patient. Service was fine but I can’t say much about the food though. Ordered a platter, a couple of crafted beer and had wanted to top up with sides around 8pm but was told they ran out of sides. Unbelievable!! I’m not sure if they refused to use the deep fryer or something. Left disappointed and the worst part is I don’t feel that it’s worth anything more than $70 but it is what it is in Singapore. Everything is going north and crazy. I’m not sure if the current situation is sustainable for all F&B. We might see a dead Robertson Quay in the future if F&B are so squeezed.

Craft beers at $10 a pint, order two and get a free 12oz glass of beer! The poutine is to die for 😋 Table service is inconsistent and sometimes downright mysterious... Random beers (that you definitely didn't order) will arrive at your table unexpectedly! 🍻 cheers!

As much as I would love to sit outside, under the Singapore heat, it wouldn’t make sense, so I choose to sit indoors. Waiters can be a little snobbish but I guess the heat must have messed with their minds. The steak was overcooked, so if you are asking for medium rare, you might need to ask to rare. The pineapple cider was really good, worth to try!

Wonderful place to chill out! 🌟Great location as it’s by the PCN for anyone who’s cycling, hiking or jogging and feeling the need to indulge in some great comfort food with craft beers👍

Excellent selection of West Coast craft brews. and it's just 10 bucks a pint. I remember 5 years ago there was one place that had Stone IPA on tap and it cost $25. Thank God those dark ages are over.

I love tap but in the last year the beer choice has gone down rapidly. It used to be one of best places for craft beer but now offers very limited selection. Hope they can bring back more diverse menu

Nice atmosphere with a river view facing. Lots of craft beers to choose from. Service was good even I can see that they are down with staffs, which only two staffs was working tonight, however, I must really prise this lady serve Nicole, even she was so busy running in and out attending to all customers, yet her service and attitude was awesome. I will highly recommend to all my friends to visit here.

I went in and left the place because service was non-existent. Indoor area had no ventilation, whole place smelled of deep fried OIL (yes, it’s as if they refried oil). From my memory, this watering hole has deteriorated over the years. Good bye TAP, was nice knowing you. We went to KOB (2 shops adjacent), way better service, good food and good offers for the drinks.

This is a fantastic place. It is the most affordable craft beer in Singapore. They always have a style for every taste and they are priced about half of other places. Well worth a trip and they have many locations. I recommend the one at RQ. You will be pleasantly surprised if you ask for Joyce. She is pleasant, knowledgeable, and an absolute gem. Tell her John sent you. You will have one of the best servers ever. If my post goes viral, be patient as she will try to accommodate every customer. If you’d like a snack, try the wings Thai style. Enjoy! JL

This is our favourite place to hang out for so many years. Apparently the new 2 girl staff is not in a good mood taking our orders and serving food and drinks with bad attitude, then definitely not going back here.

I wanted to try this place for a while, and although it wasn't a bad experience, It could have been better and it is all related to service! The ladies would come serve a table and be completely unaware that people wanted to call their attention. This happened to several people around me and not just me! Also they mixed up my order a couple of times repeating the same beer I ordered before when I wanted to try something else. Beer was good and the chicken wings I ordered were tasty, but service needs to be improved.

The place is very relaxing and easy to locate. The food that is offered is tremendous, they also serve a huge variety of beer and wine to choose from. I was greeted and served by Nicole which i feel very welcomed and it really made my day brighten up.

Entrance is the most inconspicuous of its kind. We have passed and missed it three times until we saw their tiny sign. Plenty of choice of craft beer that can satisfy both your taste bud and curiosity. Food are not sophisticated but modest enough to compliment the beer. Service is okay as they are obviously understaffed, especially during peak sessions. I strongly recommend the waiter to spend more time to familiarize the customers with their beer options if it is their first visit.

Nice place to chill in the afternoon. Freshly squeezed ipa is fantastic. The truffle fries needs improvement though.

The beer is excellent and good variety of crafted beer. The burger was tasty, but the bread was horrible dry.

  • 3/5 Nicholas G. 4 years ago on Google
Honestly a so-so experience. With the beers they have, it’s not exactly craft beers (a very debatable subject). That saying, the beers are pretty affordable and some beers are decent. I’d steer far away from the Redpoint beers. They are really not great beers.

Never like to share things on social website but I'm going to do it this round. Came here holiday with my family and found this nice pub along a riverside. Crafts beers are cheap, services are great especially a lady named Nicole, she is so friendly and nice, take good care of all customers, I have been to lots of pubs and restaurants but all I can say, she really gives us a very good impression with her smile, services, and professional attitude. She is really awesome. She changed the ways of how I looked at Singapore. Will come back again when I visit Singapore the next round.

Beers and drinks are ok. Experience spoiled by sour faced waitress (friday 13th night... you know who you are). Unlikely we will return here coz there are many choices with craft beers AND good friendly staff

$10 a pint of commercial craft beer (means not Pliny younger or elder, no Founders KBS...) in a non-hawker setting, is the best CP ratio now. Mainly US labels like Stone, Knee deep, Deschutes, Kona, lost coast. Some Asian ones like local Brewlander and Vietnamese Pasteur Street (never liked them). Once in the while, you can get the HongKong labels like YoungMasters. Service is iffy sometimes, but isn’t that common with all craft beer tap houses all over the world? You can also buy a growler (and a pretty good quality one I would say) and buy beers to-go at $35 (up from $30) for about 4 pints worth. This is one place, that I will always make time for when I am in the neighbourhood.

Good place, their beers are really nice. However, their last orders and service details were sketchy and tend to feel hurried when we were there. They should have informed that they have a strict closure policy and we felt like we were overstaying our welcome and basically being pushed out of the gate. Anyways we were late, however a heads up saying don't order now, you won't be able to enjoy it would be good.

I really like this place because it was one of the cheaper options in Singapore but the quality maintained. The beers were cheap but the nice thing is that they also have a lot of crafts and different varieties. If you are interested in ciders and wants to try something different check out the pineapple Cider.

  • 4/5 Goram G. 4 years ago on Google
Was an amazing bar and also the place was awesome. It’s like a less crowded Clark quay?. There were number of bars but this bar has a amazing vibe and also the location. They have a great selection of brew beers ?. The best part is they give to taste all the types for you to chose and also they have a tower option most of the beers. About the food, it was delicious with a variety of options and has a good experience. There is only one point which I felt as a drawback the service as there were only 2 crew members so the service was not up to the mark but was fine. Overall the experience was best and this place can be recommended.

Good selection of beer, helpful staff, excellent selection of food. Just remember that even though ex British colony, they have adopted the American pint.

  • 4/5 Douglas J. 4 years ago on Google
Great selection of beers, good service and surprisingly delicious food, given the main draw is their selection of taps. I had their beef stew, which was rich, elegant and very satisfying. Minus one star for too much head on their pours (corrected when pointed out) and several menu items which were sold out early in the evening.

Superb beer selection and affordable prices just like TAP's other two outlets. Same great service and nice finger food. I especially enjoyed the succulent pork rib with curly fries. This location is different from the other two as it is by the river, so much more relaxing and chill. Lots of joggers and people walking their dogs, a great place for people watching while having a chill pint in the afternoon. I can imagine coming here often on weekend daytime.
