Great selection of Japanese Whiskey, friendly service and generally good vibes. Richard is the man!

Lovely bar, solid whiskey, gin and vodka selection. This place is an absolute must for anyone looking for a chill and unpretentious venue, where they can have a conversation and enjoy excellent drinks. A hidden gem, right in the middle of Ann Siang Hill.

Richard is the go-to man if you wanna know a thing or two about whiskies. Trust him to make recommendations. Interesting mix of Scottish/Japanese whiskies - pretty decent selection considering CU ain't position to be whisky bar. And I have to just say this... great pricing for the poison. I like the fact that CU is owned, run and managed by local - a small tight ship of staff who know their customers well. It's unpretentious, down to earth, and seriously a bit of "take it or leave it" attitude - which is what makes it a great little local drinking hole. If you are for authenticity - check out CU. P.S. There is one drink that brings me back again and again, maybe because it's almost like a pre-dinner appetizer - the Bloody Mary. It's definitely my favorite BM in singapore! Submerged in the perfectly made BM is a skewer of a full juicy cocktail prawn, olive and ending with a cute of frozen tomato to keep the drink cold without diluting it. It's bloody brilliant and every bloody person should come have a go at this bloody great bloody Mary.

This place is lovely! Richard has a strict face but he is super sweet and knows his whiskey. Amazing retro music - 90s music which we loved and sang along! Thank you!

Overpriced and overcharged us for extra drinks that we did not even have. No hospitality as well. Don’t waste your time coming to this bar. Better options nearby.

Friday n Sat fantabulous retro music with best DJ Louis. He plays music videos of 80s, 90s retro even I’ve never seen before. *I’m not related to anyone to the bar. Just my opinion only.

Love this place. Richard is a great guy with a big heart, and a fantastic host. Big shout out also to resident DJ Lewis who plays here at the weekends - if you like 80s, come check it out. This place has been here for 18 years, I’ve been told, and has many regulars as I could observe. If I’d live in SG, this would be my home. Even though I was just a visitor, I was greeted with open arms. I absolutely cannot confirm comments about allegedly being falsely charged - rather both Richard and his guests love buying other people rounds! Well, I guess you either vibe with a place or not. I can’t praise this place highly enough. Same goes for a certain Pashtun Oz - you’re a legend, mate!

CU bar is definitely a place where you can come with friends to catch up over good drinks. Bossman, Mr Richard doesn't simply recommends the drinks to you, but tailor's the right drink off the shelf from what you are looking forward to taste/savour. Highly recommended to go and experience this hidden jem for yourself.
