👍👍 Went in the afternoon and it was not busy at all. The staff were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. There is also a decent variety of beers. Could use more variety to be honest (such as having more dark beers). The happy hour pricing is quite worth it ($10-12) for a pint too. People often mention beer, good, nice, drinks, beers, service, Great, great, staff, time,

Very near Esplanade MRT - super convenient and located in the city. Great place to just chill after work for happy hour. Tried the golden ale and stout - both brilliantly served and not too overpowering or sweet. Balanced and refreshing overall. Large range of flavors to select from too!

Great place to chill, have some drinks and dine in!!! 1) Convenient location connected to Esplanade MRT, but the atmosphere is great as it’s in a pretty nice building and relatively quieter! Will be a great place to hang out with friends on evenings when covid measures are more relaxed. 2) As this place is known for their drinks, we knew we had to try some! There is such a wide variety and the draft beers/cocktails were so interesting! They even let you sample those at the counter before you order. 3) Food-wise, we weren’t expecting as much as we thought it’s more focused on drinks but the food was great too?! We really enjoyed all the dishes because they were really tasty. We were also surprised by the portions given because we thought tapas was more of side dish, but the portion seemed like a main dish?! 😂 Thanks for having us!! Will visit again :)

We celebrated a promotion party here. If you want to taste 12 different local brewed Beers, other than regular brands and this is a definite visit place. Place was nice with a lot of outdoor tables in B1 of South Beach Mall, well connected just outside the F Exit of Esplanade MRT. Crowd was less and we had good time here. Food options are less and available food was tasty. Staff was very friendly and served items on time. MJ is the person at Beer counter, offered us 4 beers for tasting. If you are going here for the first time, there are short glasses and can go tasting before ordering. We ordered 10 different Beers and all are above average, got a different taste from regular brands. It was closed by 11.30, however, it’s outdoor seating is open till anytime. We spent till 1.30 am, around 1 am too, MJ was still available, we asked for water and they served, that was too nice of them. Our bill went around $500, so we asked for a discount or complimentary Beer jugs. They gave us 10% discount too. A Definite visit place.

Ideally I'd have liked to give them a 4.5, since some of the food was a tad disappointing, but I've been here before and it's normally good, I think we just ordered the wrong things The currywurst sausages were dry and got a bit monotonous. The truffle fries were good but the cauliflower lacked flavour and was just deep fried The beers were nice though, got the summer and golden ales and we were happy Given their location and excellent friendly service, I'm always happy to stop here for a bit every now and then.

Chanced upon just very recently that Little Island Brewing Co has another location and it is right in town (the one at Changi is still my favourite to have that beer treat after a cycling excursion from East Coast Park via Tanah Merah Coast Road PCN). Greeted by extremely friendly staff and they were very helpful throughout to recommended the drinks and dishes. My favourite is hoppy IPA and the East Coast IPA is hoppy and creamy. A surprise is the Flaming Lips, it’s alcoholic Ginger Beer that really flares up in the throat. It’s a very refreshing alternative to beer. The staff recommended a few crowd favourites and we picked the wagyu beer quesadilla. It is probably the best quesadilla I have eaten and the portion is good for two. The beef is succulent and the quesadilla has that nice crisp to it and good texture. Was told that the grilled squid tentacles and confit duck roll are good. Will come back for them.

very very friendly staff who will be there to have a pleasant conversation with you regarding their available alcohols. of course, the beer is a must try for all of them. you could consider to get the smaller tasting cups first before going strong on your pints. although mostly outdoor seating, the temperature there is just right for a pleasant relaxing time with your beers and company.

Mix feelings about this place. Food not bad. The cauliflower dish and the chicken karage are very nice. The Brussels sprouts dish tastes too much of the vinegar. Calamari is nice but kinda pathetic as the squid are chopped up. I think 50% are the crispy crumbs. Price $$+

Nice Gambas Al Ajillo (prawn, $24++), I like it very much specially eat together with the crispy bread. Pork chop is below average, the meat is dry. Brussels sprout, Truffle fries and lava cake are taste average. I prefer indoor seats. There are many fans at outdoor seats, but I don't like because it blowing my skirt and hair!!! Good customer service. I will be back to try the beer!!!

Had a quick drinks here with some snacks. A good place to chill, spacious area, will not feel suffocated by the crowd. Great selections of craft beer. With a lot of delicious snacks to go with the drinks. Unplugged performance which is not too loud and created a great atmosphere for gathering. Will return again as I really like the atmosphere and space here.

Reasonable craft beer, served quickly. Food hit and miss, sells out quickly, is slow. This is the city centre outpost of Little Island Brewing Co. a bit disappointing, I think their Changi Beach location is a lot more fun. Beers are ok, but something is lost in not getting to walk around and sample / self serve them like in Changi. Served quick. I doubt it’s the case, but curiously their pint serving looks like and feels like it’s less than a pint. Hopefully just an optical illusion. Food: just order the fish & chips. Everyone else does. It’s pretty good actually. Beware: long wait time as everyone orders it. Beyond that, slim pickings. Beef brisket sandwich was a rip off. It’s a 4 cm sliver of beef on a crouton. They serve you 4 of these croutons for $20. Outrageously bad and poorly described on the menu. Mexican grilled cheese pan: surprisingly generous portion of cheese. Be aware - we were there around 7.30p, items were already sold out. And they continued to quickly put “sold out” on the food items as time went on. So, overall this is a really mixed experience. I think if you’re just there for a beer it’s fine. Once you want food, probably disappointing. Maybe if you’re there when they’re quiet, and all you is fish & chips, then your food experience will be ok.

We reserved a table on Friday night. Was given an outdoor table. It was pretty hot, so we requested for indoor table after dining halfway. The server was nice and promptly shifted us. The food was not as good as expected. The duck tapas was normal. The chicken wings were not really nice. Just salty only. The roast pork was crispy, quite okay. The brussel sprouts definitely not something I would order again. The cheese pan was good though. Truffle fries was not bad. Calamari was half a plate, and mostly flour with little sotong. They served the wrong bottle of wine. We realised after opening and pouring a bit out. The server was nice to replace with the correct bottle without fuss. Ice water is free flow, just need to self serve. The glass could be slightly bigger so we don't have to go so often to top up.

Great for large group gatherings. Al fresco dining was not too bad as there are giant fans all around. Service staff could be more attentive but overall was a fun night out. Would recommend the spiced rum lava cake!

I was once came across this place and amazed by the interior and vibe of it, hoping one day I’d come with friends for a casual drink over table. However my experience last night had completely changed my view. The service we experienced with seating arrangement was just arrogant, sarcastic and dreadful. With many empty tables and seats available on a Wednesday night after work, there's absolutely no reason to separate a group of 9 into two tables that are at two sides of the restaurant. We did understand the regulation and rule-of-8 but such dictating arrangement without listening to customer at the start of the play is just not acceptable at all, especially for service industry - how will you earn customers' trust? I may come back for the specialty beer, but my first f2f experience just really pulled my expectation down. People don't simple enjoy F&B because it's good food and drink, people enjoy the vibe and whole experience that a dining place can possible bring to them.

Alchemist is one top places to have Gin in Singapore. They also have a fair collection of beer and wiskey. But the main highlight is the Gin.

Poor service as was informed 2 hours before my reservation that if it rains, there be no table. I will appreciate if they inform me when I first called them to make the reservation. Then it will save all the hassle and allow me to book elsewhere. Their workaround is to request me to go to another outlet to dine in.

Interesting craft beers. There’s a stout with a lovely coffee taste! 👍 Truffle fries’ portion was very generous, however tasted more of cheese rather than truffles. Important to note that Pulled Pork burger ALSO comes with fries on the side 😂 The food in general was pretty salty. I still much prefer their sister brewery, Little Island, at Changi Point.

The nachos pretty sad. Throw in bits of onion and tomato. Abit of avo, cream n bits of jalapeño. Bland. If an F&B showing this half-hearted spirit on their small plates, it shows a lot about the whole vibes. Maybe best to just come here for beer but don’t order their smalls. See picture. I left the place with that. Could only took a few bites. Feedback them and no effort to replace or whatsoever. Will not return.

Cozy spot in an beautiful, central location. The wagyu burger and fish and chips exceeded my expectations for a craft beer place like this! The craft beers were of course fantastic, with the stout stealing the show. Would love to come back when I can!

A nice hidden spot and super quiet now that there is lack of tourists in the beach road hotel area. Now mainly serving little island brews, they also have cocktails on draft and a nice selection of bar bite style food. The friendly and welcoming service sets it apart.

This is a no-brainer option if you need to meet with your friends downtown. Great beer with good food (good, not great, Changi branch food is better) and an excellent location. I visit this place regularly and will visit again.

Ordered steak, pork cheek, fish & chips, truffle fries and 3 other tapas, but received the last ordered item only 45 mins after ordering (tapas). When the fish & chips came, it didn’t come with chips, but with salad instead. When asked the staff, they informed us that becoz we ordered truffle fries alrdy, they just help us change our chips to salad for us. Huh?? Ok, this we accepted since it was alrdy done. BUT when we receive our bill, we were apparently charged an additional $2 for SALAD on top of the full price for the fish and chips. First of all, it was already inappropriate to simply change our food item without informing us. On top of that they still want to charge us additional for salad?? In the end after our qns and feedback, they removed the salad from the bill. This seriously leads me to qn what is going on in this restaurant. Overall, food and beer ok, but the above seriously needs some internal review.

Went down to the South Beach branch after having an amazing one at the Changi branch. This place is good for after work dinners/catch up but the menu was rather limited with some dishes oos. Personal fav was the currywrust and pork slices! The craft beer taste the same as the one in Changi - very yummy!

brought a group of friends with high hopes having enjoyed myself previously at the changi village outlet. left sorely disappointed. service was horrible throughout the night. here are 3 examples: 1) our server hardly spoke a word throughout the 3+ hours we were there. we ordered a round of different drinks to start. our server brought them out on a tray, set them down in the middle of the group and left without a word for us to figure out what each cup with similar looking drinks was. 2) when cutting into the fried chicken cutlets we ordered we realised the centre was completely RAW. literally less than half the meat was cooked. when we notified our server and requested for the plate to be sent back there was no attempt at service recovery whatsoever. same silent treatment—he took the plate without a word and just left us sitting blank faced wondering what had happened. 3) because we were a big group we were seated across two long tables joined together at the ends. we ordered through the app which indicated our respective table numbers. when our food arrived it was the same old silent treatment—no asking if a dish was for one table or the other. he just guessed which table ordered what food and left us to deal with the confusion by ourselves. being singaporean we would have been used to and fine with bad service if food was okay, but it was horrible on every metric. tasted like it came out of a microwave, portions were tiny (spent ~800 bucks between 14 pax and we had to cut our losses and just fill up on mcdonalds after) and except for the drinks food was really overpriced for what it was. no doubt the worst food and experience we’ve had in a restaurant in years. only saving grace is the live music which was decent

I visited Alchemist Beer Lab on 17 August 2018 around 6.30pm to 10pm. The visit was to attend a private corporate event. Food (5/5) - I had pork belly, wagyu beef stew, pasta, chicken wing there. The food were all decent. The pork belly was the best among all. Unlike the regular roast pork belly served in the hawker centre, there is caramelized sweetness encompassing the salty pork belly. The beer there is the selling point, there are 7 infused beer & 8 craft beer sold there. Fans of the usual Heineken & Carlsberg beer will be disappointed. However, be amazed by the craft beer, because they are all good. I will personally recommend my favourite infused beer - Lord of the Gin. It is a combination of apple cider and gin. It tastes refreshing with its citrus taste, you almost can't taste much gin within. It is apt for the hot weather in Singapore. Ambience (4/5) - There is an outdoor non air-conditioning sitting area, and indoor air-conditioning area. I stayed outdoor where the private event is held. The place isn't noisy, so we can actually talk without shouting into each other face. Service (5/5) - The bar crew were friendly, they went around asking for 'Happy Hour' last order as well, serving even the smallest order like glasses of ice water. Overall, I am pleased with the bar. Definitely recommend it for friends group (both gender) gathering, corporate event, first date.

When we visited 20/3/2020 it was mostly empty of customers with 5 staff. The beer tasted good and the bar staff were great ( a pity that we were served short measure in every beer gladd. But the worst was the food was delayed by an hour plus and some was burnt. We ordered 4 meals at the same time the first burger arrived in 15min and was fine. They forgot the other 3 meals. After 15 Min I reminded them and 2 charcuterie arrived 20min later. The last burger arrived 30after that and was charred not "seared". Doesn't seem to have organisation or a manager and badly needs it

All day happy hour with draft beer starting from $10. South beach is such a nice area for dates or friends hangouts. Portion of food is really huge! My girl friend and I ordered a French fries and a Nachos and couldn’t finish them. $20 for food altogether was a unbeatable deal. Taste wise was mediocre though, hence the 4 stars.

This bar serves a great range of premium craft beer that is locally brewed and not sold elsewhere. The tasting set is a great way to enjoy a variety of beers. Very chill bar with a nice atmosphere, easy to just sit and relax after a long day at work. They sometimes have live music, which was lovely! Their cocktails are quite interesting (ave $18 each, cheaper during Happy Hour) and my favs from the ones we ordered (especially if you like fruity and sweet cocktails) were Long Thyme No Sea, Just Peachy and Yuzu Save The Queen. Did not try their food, though, so can't comment on that.

Nice place to chill with interesting draft cocktails served from the tap. Tried the Lost in The Forest and Marla Maple cocktails today and my preference was Lost in The Forest because it is made up of Gin, Apple Cider, Elderflower and Lime... super refreshing and perfect on a post-haze day in tropical Singapore. Have interesting snacks and tapas. Ordered zucchini fries which I find too soft and lacks structure. Perhaps could have cut the zucchini in thicker chunks or in slices. Turned soggy and oily when cold. The crispy baby calamari was good though.
