We were at the Sungei Buloh area and looking for a decent place for lunch and came across this nice cafe. I would describe the ambiance as cosy if you choose to have your table inside the cafe. I suspect the Festive Specials menu we see is from the Chinese New Year season but I am not complaining. We ordered the “Oriental Pepper Crispy Lobster with Asparagus Mushroon” for our main course, Giada Cioppino (Italian Seafood Stew), Seared Scallops with Herb in Lemon Butter Sauce for sharing. The Oriental Pepper Crispy Lobster is actually deep fried lobster and cooked in black pepper sauce with Asparagus and Mushroom. This main course is our favourite. The lobster was so crispy that we actually ate both the lobster meat and the shell as well. The sauce is well balanced but slightly salty to my liking. But if you go with either some bread or rice (not sure if they have it), it would be perfect. The last time I had seafood Cioppino stew was in California, USA in a Mexican restaurant and this one here is quite good in comparison. It has scallops, mussels and prawns and came with a piece of really good garlic bread. Finally, the Seared Scallops with Herb in Lemon Butter Sauce is also delightful. The gravy is a little spicy as the chef added in some chilli chops but I think it’s good. As there were not many patrons in the restaurant during lunchtime, the waiter is attentive and responsive. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, the nice food and the good service. I may go back again if I am around the area next time. $$-$$$.

My first time visit this place. Nice ambiance. Nice food. Free parking. A must to order chicken wing dish. The fried luncheon meat is too salty. Not recommended. Salmon fillet is good. Chicken chop is nice too. Best is, happy hours, beers are on special price.

The place is not crowded on Saturday nite. Service- Attentive and prompt Food quality and portion - Tasty, flavorful. especially the mussels cooked in white wine the broth was wonderful and rich, garlic bread also quite good when dipped into the broth. The seafood capellini was value for money. Price- very reasonable for pastas and mussels. Will definitely revisit this place again. Highly recommended!

Nice ambience with both indoor and outdoor seats, overlooking the field. Too bad there weren’t any classes when we were there for lunch. Overall food is good, service is top notch too.

A hidden gem of a getaway from it all. Nice ambience and cold beer to just chill alone or with friends. Next to equestrian turf, to boot! Had the mussels. Simply delish. Pretty good service crew. Will definitely visit again. Returned for dinner, and ordered the foie gras starter, braised beef rice bowl and signature fish and chips. The first 2 were spot on for us. Strongly flavoured and rich! The beef is tender and flavourful. The foie gras interpretation is interestingly delish. F&C is kind of disappointing for the price. Nothing to crow about.

Unfortunately, it was a raining night when we went to this place for dinner. However, the food is great and the ambiance is fantastic. The lighting was rather dim, giving the place a very romantic feel. Words can't describe how relaxing the entire place is. Will visit again for sure.

Love that it's pet friendly! Bought my little one to see horses! Great experience despite the heavy rain. Food n service is good. Parking is acceptable too. Only issue was that they said we could only sit at that one corner if we had a dog. Which is a waste, because there was so much outdoor seating area (empty of people even)! Photos made u think u could have a choice! But sadly was only allowed just the side corner which was near the bushes n there was mosquitoes. Also when it started raining heavily, we all got wet. Thankfully by then we were done with our food so we left.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for coffee after exiting the northernmost reaches of the rail corridor. Food is very tasty and well-portioned. Ate their Laksa prawn tacos & lobster mac and cheese. Enjoyed both. Drank a Guinness pint for $12 (At happy hour pricing, 12nn to 8pm). Interior is bright and airy. Saw some horses. Overall good experience and interesting restaurant in a less crowded part of Singapore.

We are a group of four, ordered two wagyu burger, squid ink spaghetti and grilled salmon. Food is above average and portions are reasonable. The oreo and strawberry milk shake is so good! Service is prompt but could be a bit more attentive to the needs of the patrons. Overall good experience. We will definitely come back again!

The food is SO GORGEOUS and the portions are so generous omg i really enjoyed this hidden gem bahahaha it was a bit hot in the afternoon if you sit al fresco but for the horse views… it’s worth 💛💛 anyway they played Taylor swift songs in the bar and they have live music on fridays apparently (?) so I’m giving six stars just that it’s not reflected here </3 we went for a stable tour after the meal to walk off all the calories lol !! It’s really nice and private, lovely lovely lovely hidden equestrian bar in the north of singapore!! reasonable prices for the portion of food :) ratatouille was flavourful but not for those who fear sour, fish and chips came with 2 fillet and a huge mountain of fries, Mac and cheese was the bomb with a fancy cheese pull!! the chocolate milkshake is a skip though but it’s alright :)

Google brought as there as we were looking for a place to have a quick dinner. Pleasantly surprise with this gem. Even though food is not that fantastic, the ambiance compensated it. Price is slightly above average for a cafe. Service was quite good too. Overall will come back again. 👍🏼

Food are quite pricey but its delicious and worth the money. However, their steak are badly seasoned, taste kinda odd and isnt that well cooked despite it listing as wagyu and its one of the more expensive dish. Their other dishes with seafood are fantastic so i recommend those instead.

We reserved a table for 3 at Cheval Cafe Bistro at 4pm as it was fully booked from 6pm onwards being Christmas holiday. Nevertheless it was indeed a very cosy restaurant with good delicious food. Ambience within the restaurant was perfect for chill & relax with a cold beer overseeing the horse stable. Family gathering for lunch or dinner was highly recommended too with their sumptuous menu. Cost of food was reasonable priced based on the good quality & portion of food served. Located along Kranji vicinity, tavelling to this location would be breezy via car as there are free ample parking lots. They have both outdoor and indoor (aircon) dinning. Great restaurant with superlicious food. Keep up the good image and service standard. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😀❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Nice chill vibes as can see a few horses at a near distance if there are trainings going on. The garlic clams with broth and garlic bread, fish & chips and angel hair pasta with seafood are good! P.S. staff are polite and friendly too

Came here for our lunch. Reservation may not be needed since the place was not crowded when we came. As our first visit, we ordered the fish and chips and seafood Aglio olio. The fish and chips was a bit disappointing, it was not crispy and a bit too much pepper. The seafood pasta on the other hand taste better, seafood was fresh, flavours well balanced and not so oily. Many people choose this place to see the horses. Recommend to come during weekdays except Mondays between 10.30am to 12pm.m, chances are you may get to see more horses. Good place to chilled out and away the buzzing noise of the city. Oh, this is a pet friendly restaurant too.

    1. Oxtail and the gravy was superb! 2. Fish and chips - the fish was a bit too dry. 3. Angus beef burger - normal, nothing much to comment. 4. Clams in garlic - the soup has a bit of spiciness, and there were a bit of sand at the bottom. Would have been better if the clams had the sand removed before cooking.

Hidden gem at Kranji. Love the quiet cosy ambience and staff were friendly too. The food was awesome!! Highly recommended the fish & chips and bbq ribs! The bbq ribs are so soft and flavourful. Awesomely good!! Will definitely be back for other food!!

2nd time dining at this restaurant. Ordered Mussels and Truffle Fries for appetizer, Lobster Mac & Cheese and Oxtail for main course, Tiramisu coupled with a few beers. All the dishes are good, except the Tiramisu which is huge disappointment to end our meal. It's $13 for a small slice of cake which taste like some frozen instant cake. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is exceptionally delicious. The base sauce is made with lobster bisque, Oxtail is tender and flavourful, would highly recommend both dishes. Hopefully they can improve on their dessert the next time i visit. Service crews are friendly and attentive.

It was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Very tranquil as we were surrounded by nature. Great place for just chilling out and watching horses training. The food was pretty good. We had the Peri-Peri chicken thigh [Sept Special] and the Karubuta Pork rack [highly recommended].

Service staffs are friendly. Good food and nice ambience, next to the turf club. The only downside is waited too long for the salmon to be served. The beef cubes are surprisingly yummy 😋

Came on Thursday afternoon for lunch and tried the promotion set lunch. Restaurant is not really busy and staff are friendly and attentive. Tiger prawn is fresh and the chicken tight is grill to perfection. Their sauce is quite unique and goes very well with the meat. Not overwhelmed. It’s good to have the brownies cut in 2 smaller pieces as we did pause before we continue another one. We ordered the coffee in addition as it’s not included in the set lunch meal. Whole lunch dining experience is pleasant and comfortable. Indeed is a hidden gem if wanted a quite place to dine in and have a peaceful ambience.

Visited for the first time. Not too bad overall. Liked the order of serving, from drinks to kid to adults. Sounds natural but doesn't always happen. BBQ ribs and seafood pasta on the pepper-ish side which I like but might not appeal to some. Would revisit to try other dishes. Good for some quiet dining, away from the hustle and bustle of the heartland malls.

First time trying this place on a weekend lunch time. Crowded with seats available. Decent customer service. Renovation normal, not those IG wow type. Order 2 mains, 1 side and 1 starter cost SGD80ish. Not cheap, slightly above the average for the usual stuff i have in other places. The food do taste nice with decent portion. I personally enjoyed the BBQ ribs. Is tender and flavourful. Another plus point is u can eat and see horse riding. A place worth trying out.

Great ambience. They have all kinds of drinks! Cajun chicken and crusted salmon cooked to perfection. The lava cake tasted like it came out of a packet though. The drinks were made really well

Lunch on a rainy afternoon, cool weather. Food is good. Staff are friendly. Everything is nice except some people are smoking outdoor. There are children and elderly around. Perhaps it should demarcate smoking and non-smoking areas.

$140+ for 4 pax - not worth it IMO. waited 20mins for our food… and the ingredients weren’t that fresh for the price. - seafood aglio olio: it was a tad oily, but it wasn’t spicy at all. i’m not sure if it’s supposed to be, but i believe traditional ones are. mussels weren’t fresh - they were a little spongy… prawns and scallop were ok. - beef burger: was pretty good; beef was juicy and buns were toasted nicely. - sharing platter: this was pretty good altho for $26++, i’m not sure if it’s worth it. there were squid rings, sausage, chicken wings and wedges. sausage was super salty - herb crusted salmon ($28++): this was the most expensive and also the WORST. the mashed potatoes tasted of milk that’s on the brink of going bad. i’m not sure what they used, but we couldn’t finish the potatoes, nobody wanted to eat it after their first bite 😩😩. i felt kinda sick after eating it LOL.. their veggies were also all frozen - you can tell, bc the texture is very different from fresh veggies. for a price of $28++, surely you would expect fresh veggies that aren’t just boiled and placed at the side????? this was rly horrible. and the salmon had a good skin and crust, but the meat itself was overdone. 😔😔😔 this was very very disappointing. we sat indoors, but you can smell the cigarettes from outside which made the inside smell too 🙄🙄

Good ambience and food. But the portion is a little small for the price. Can consider coming back for ambience more than eating the main course itself.
