The service is the worst. When we were there for our lunch, there was another tourist group that came at the same time. The resort staff did not help to segregate our catered lunch from the hotel's own lunch for the tourists. The space was not enough for both groups to have lunch and the tourists kept taking our places. The function room that we had our meeting had a strange smell and needed to air it out for quite awhile before it is bearable. Management of this resort is atrocious. Avoid at all costs.

Nice stay in a budget. Please don't expect it to be super good. It is good enough for the price charged. Adjacent to nature reserve and lots of greenery.

No frills accommodation. Reasonably clean. Resort style. Recently renovated. Restaurant only serves breakfast.

2011: Nice comfortable rooms. Pricey for an average stay. Huge carparks good for big group games. Easy access to nearby park. Far in from train station. 2019: Rude ops manager who questioned why we are walking around the compound. Ignored by front desk who is not bothered to serve anything than speaking to her colleague loudly at the lobby. Non peak season.

Quiet location. Minutes to the beach. Beautiful view at the beach. Important history at this beach. Sentry box left over from the British army while they are here decades ago. Dragon tooth is also located here. Come n explore.

The recent renovation made the rooms nice, clean and comfortable. Use the public toilet near the hotel lobby. The public toilet near the conference room is dirty and there is no toilet paper. Parking is free.

Location was very secluded. Distance very far from the nearest MRT station. Not walkable, had to cycle in. Did not stay over but heard from friends that there is no in-room wifi. Wifi has to be accessed in the Lobby. Good place for walks as it is near the beach.

City beach resort is situated at the far corner of Labrador park. While it's at a corner it is a place visited by many people. Parking is free and the resort looks like a 2 story building. But inside is a simple residence and the rooms are pretty basic. Don't expect tooth brush and bathtubs. It's like a student dormitory but with out a refrigerator . Walls are thin and you can hear people walking outside. But it is still a respectable room great for those who does overnight fishing or decide to to just chill out. Next to the block is a great barbecue seafood restaurant. By 6pm cars start to flow in and the place quickly fills up. Breakfast is about 7 to 9am. And average rates of a room is as much as 170 singapore dollars. Payment has to be made upfront.

I was at the hotel for a weekend to attend a event, and here are my thoughts on it. The hotel is located right by Labrador Park sea side, so that's a plus if you plan to book a room facing the sea. However, it is somewhat of a hassle to access the location, it's a 10-15 minutes walk to the MRT and bus station on the main road. The rooms themselves are kind of small, but in decent enough condition. Rooms are unlocked with keys, no card. I didn't get to experience the rooms fully myself, but I really won't recommend them if you're above 1.8 metres in height. Also, I'm not sure about the conditions of the room walls, but there were paint flaking off the event hall, so take that with a grain of salt. There is an attached bar/restaurant to the hotel, which seems kind of decent too. The hotel lobby provides refreshments of cold water and orange juice, but that doesn't offset the downside that there aren't a pool on the site. The hotel is sometimes booked by travel agencies for their tourist groups, so take that into consideration as well. Overall, I feel that City Beach Resort is a nice lodging for when you're on a budget or want easy access to Labrador Park, but nothing more than that. Hence my rating of 3 stars.

The room is shabby and looks more like a cheap motel room rather than what you usually find in 3-star resorts. The beds are not comfortable, wall and ceiling are too thin I could here people "wrestling" loudly from the 2nd floor and noisy vehicle engines from the parking place. No Wi-fi, no wardrobe, amenities are limited to just a couple of towel, no hair dryer, toothbrush, shampoo nor bath gel at all. Breakfast is terrible and the staffs are not helpful. The location is so far away where you have to walk 1km with the risk of encountering stray dogs to the nearest MRT station. Although you can Grab a car or taxi, but the waiting time is about 7 to 10 minutes, and the driver usually not willing to go there. Totally not recommended for tourist.

Simple, low budget accommodation. was here for a retreat. interestingly they have a nice big hall that can easily hold 150 pax. rooms are pretty standard no frills. the room i was in was seems to be recently renovated, so no complains about it. the main dining hall is not linked to certain accommodation block, so be prepared when it rains. there is a nice seafood place just a stone throw away. and the waterway to sentosa and harbour front is just a walking distance away. Note that there lots of china tourist are house in this location.

(Translated by Google) Although the hotel has been refurbished, the windows can be switched from the outside, not to the market, and the sound insulation is extremely poor. Some people will hear it when they walk outside. The phone cannot be used, and the bed will slip away as soon as it moves. The hot water is unstable. (Original) 雖然酒店翻新了,可是窗可以從外面開關,不能上銷,隔音效果極差,有人在外面走過都會聽到。 電話不能使用,床一動就會滑走。熱水不穩定。

Awesome place to have events, do bring your own equipments as the ones in the resort are very old and basically non-functional.

Quite place and pretty near Labrador MRT station. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they will help you in everywhere. Rooms are clean and getting clean steadily. WiFi is available everywhere. Nice restaurant/cafe inside the place, and behind there is a park with bay view which is perfect for walking, jogging and different activities, or just relaxing in the evening with all the beautiful lights in the evening. I highly recommend it.
