My parents have eaten here over the years and according to them, the quality of the dim sum seems to have improved. I don’t have much frame of reference, as I only sometimes come here when I visit Singapore, but I found this stand-alone meal delicious. The fried carrot cake and crispy prawn rice flour roll were noteworthy. In doing this Google review, I noticed that they got our order wrong. We had wanted the crystal chive dumplings, but they put the coriander prawn dumplings on the receipt instead (we used the paper order slip). They were still good, though a shame we didn’t notice it at the time. Make sure you check your receipt. Also, you should come early. We got there at around 11:30 on a weekday and had to give them our phone number for them to call us when a table for four was free. We waited for about 45 minutes. Parties of two tend to get seated faster.

A little warm place, aircon seems weak. The service was good though, they were thoughtful and tried to explain to us well even though some were new and part time. Food wise, one of the best dim sum buffet I have tasted, they even got stuff like fish skin and a few unorthodox food not usually found in your dim sum!

Dim sum dishes tasted better than previous. Prawn paste with scallops is very fresh and the juicy has the seafood taste. Fried shrimp cake is very crispy and the big pieces of shrimps are chewy. The golden custard bun is too normal. Not steamed well, it wasn’t hot. Fresh prawns inside the shrimp dumplings. however for some of them, the coating are over steamed.

Quite nice place to have lunch with colleagues. Usually waiting time is less if you go with big group. Went twice and had fried olive rice with different kind of dumplings. Staff is really friendly and kind enough to serve to your dish. Price is not cheap, but not expensive. Apart from food, there are some nice photographs of Singapore back in the day.

A wide selection of dim sum. Everything tasted pretty good. Super reasonably priced - we spent $70 for 4 people and left stuffed.

Strongly recommend Yum Cha for dim sum buffet! The quality of the food is good! None of the dishes were disappointing and they service pretty fast! My personal favourites in order would be 1. Mango prawn 2. Har Gao 3. Paper wrap chicken 4. Egg tart 5. Char siew pau Would go back to try everything else in the menu if I ever crave for dimsum.

Those fried dim sums were good and delicious. Steam dim sum like BBQ pork Bun, Custard Bun, Siew Mai were good also. Steam Pork Ribs will make everyone surprise not because of the taste but the price (does it really worth that much for that portion and taste? Skip?).

Excellent Dim sum! All of the dishes were fantastic. There can be a long line, but for good reason. The operate with military like effectiveness…. So many of the dishes were especially good. Very reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend.

We have not been here since covid19. The restaurant still looks the same as per my last memory. We see more cosmopolitan diners on a late Sunday afternoon. Dim Sums are still tasty except for the somehow plan stew peanuts πŸ₯œ appetiser, price is reasonable. Goes well with a pot of pu er or any Chinese tea of your preference. Join the member and earn yourself a free dessert :). Service crews are polite and efficient. Overall is pleasant except for the toilet. Likely due to Sunday.

Thanks you Kiss92 sponsored 2 adults buffet! We come in 6 pax, with member price 4 adults paid 3pax, $130+ We ordered 30+ portion of Dim sum. 90% of the food are above average! Disappointed the egg tart was run out at 4pm, where buffet still have 2hr more to go. Truffle mushroom bum is really a big surprise, double boiled soup is simple but delicious. Red bean banana pie is another gem! Overall, I find it's pricy for $32++/pax weekday buffet. Maybe this is the reason Singaporean are traveling out to JB for good Dim Sum πŸ˜…

Came here on a Friday morning and the place was really packed. The restaurant is obviously under-staffed as the wait for the food is very long and even need to wait to make payment. Food wise, there are some hits and misses. The mango and prawn fritters and the chives dumplings are really great but the rice rolls are huge disappointment. I dare say some hawker centres served better rice roll then them. Pan fried carrot cake and char siew Bao are ok but not fantastic. Spend $52 for 2 pax dim sum brunch, not really worth it in my opinion.

The restaurant still looked the same, authentic and traditional. Lunchtime was always so crowded but luckily we managed to do an online reservation. Dim sum was equally good and yummy. Service staffs were professional. Everything was ok. Not sure if it was due to tables being quite close to one another or the design, the lunchtime crowds sound like a fish market though πŸ˜…

One of the best Dim Sum places situated in Chinatown. Overall food was good, standouts dishes are Crispy prawn rice flour roll, Radish cake with floss and Xiao long bao. There would be dishes I will not order again. Overall price is on the higher side, approx $80 for 3 pax. Enjoyed the casual oriental ambience, would be back.

Food has improved leaps and bounds since the last time I've patronised them years ago. In general, the fried food was well deep fried. No "smelly oil" smell/taste and wasnt dripping with oil. Seafood used were fresh. While the portion isn't big, they were generous with the fillings/ingredients in each dish. On top of that, we were served by a lady named Susan whose service was top notch. She was extremely attentive, proactive and was always ready to clear our empty baskets and plates. Her service standard was equivalent to that of HDL. The food was served relatively quick considering how packed the restaurant was. Be there before 11am on Sunday if you want to avoid the queues. It was slightly more pricey than I'd prefer but it was worth it for the food quality and service. I would have given it 4 stars but the top notch service from Susan pushed it to 5 stars. Thank you Susan for the amazing service!

Excellent Dim Sum in the heart of Chinatown? This is the place to enjoy all the little treasures you can eat in a 90-minute session. The quality is fantastic, the service is efficient. We had a table beside the window, which was thankfully peaceful, cozy and quiet, as the lunch-time buffet does get popular! There was not a single bamboo steamer which did not offer some taste delight. A pot of jasmine tea also did quench the thirst inbetween courses. Very highly recommended!

They serve pretty authentic dim sum, but seems like it's more popular among tourists. It's conveniently located within the hearts of Chinatown (walking distance from MRT), and is usually full house during weekend lunch. Rather disappointed with the chee cheong fun as it was very soggy and skin was way too clumpy for my liking :<

We had a late brunch here today. Eventhough it was late there was still a queue and crowd inside. The quality of the dim sum πŸ˜‹ excellent πŸ‘Œ and we would definitely come back again. Only wish they had some Noodle dishes and fried rice in the menu which it lacked. Overall a good experience

Food and dim sum tasted pretty good but nothing out of this world. Service is ordinary as well. Price wise would say it's slightly more than what I thought it's worth paying. Considered on the high side but understandable for restaurant setting. One thing they need to improve is the ordering system. Currently only take order from QR code but their location has very poor reception and unable to access Internet. Ald had our order ready on the phone but unable to submit order, had to transfer to the paper to order manually lol.

This restaurant was great one of the best. My dad rates it a five star but every thing was a for star like the dan tart or egg tart. It had to much crust! I am being super picky though so if you came here you would probably rate it a five star. I would recommend the century egg porridge It tastes great just don't chew for super long on the cracker things they taste great but if you chew too long it tastes weird in my opinion.

Good grade authentic dim sum in a restaurant setting in Chinatown. Wide variety on the menu to choose from. Prices are reasonable too, our favourite is Xiao long bao, although they forget to serve it with vinegar ginger sauce sometimes. No issues, the sauce comes fast when you ask for it. They use push cart for some items. Great ambience and prompt service.

A crowded place due to the nice food and huge variety of selections, hard to get parking and but wheelchair friendly. Not much option for vegetarian, but the menu are detailed enough to let you understand the ingredients. Overall was good the only reason of 1 star being deducted was due to the serving sequence was mess up and delay for half an hour.

A good selection of dim sum. There was a long queue when we came around 12:00. We waited for 30 to 40 minutes, but it was worth the wait. The service was fast and friendly. I asked what time was a bit more quiet, but the lady at the counter said that it's busy all day, so you can expect to have to wait in line to be seated.

Food quality is still great, delicious dim sums with fresh ingredients. Service not so good, and they no longer do the trolleys (even on a weekend morning) for the yum cha experience, everything is ordered through the QR code on your table.

We ordered few items lastly carrots cake which is so so oily, very disappointed in the carrot n fry sliver fish last time I went was so so yummy. Also aircon not really working can't feel the compare to last time I went. Can't send out photos otherwise will show u how much oil there's.

Quite disappointed with this round's visit. First of all, waiting at a hot and humid place was disturbing and frustrating. Order online is acceptable but I cannot find a table no. or QR code to place order. Waiters and waitresses were to busy to attend to our table! So ordering took a while... Next, utensil and table were not as clean and organized. (No hot water to sterilise...πŸ™„) Staffs were not well trained I guess because table was wet after tea was served, empty dim sum steamers were not cleared, plates were not replaced when full. Well, maybe they are too shorthanded. If you want to enjoy a peaceful and conducive environment, this place may be too noisy for you. Or maybe our neighbouring tables were just loud. Dim sum is good. Delicious and it didn't take a long time to serve. All I can say is Yam Cha may need a signature dish to standout because the cuisine in the menu can be easily eaten elsewhere (in neighborhood and taste better!). Conclusion is, paying for no service, no environment and common food is not worth it, to us.

I liked the atmosphere, it retains quite a bit of the growing up days dining experience. The food quality was tip top. Opted for the buffet option from 3pm to 6pm. They had a lot to offer for the buffet menu, all at delicious and right portion for 2-3 pax.

The best dimsun in chinatown. You will enjoy the food so delicious. Usually there is a line of queue but I'm lucky enough. You should try mango prawn and peach gum

Absolutely outstanding yum cha - the highlight was finding it again after 8 years. It was even better The steamed pork buns are delicious but my favourite was the deep fried pork pancakes. Also the robotic waiter!

I cannot remember when was the last time I came here - probably quite a while back and before the COVID. There is always a queue so some waiting is expected. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Tim Sum, and coupled with friendly crew, it is a five star experience to start the weekend on a Saturday morning.
