Went in with really high expectations from the raving reviews online and from some of our peers, some even deemed it the best Italian food in Singapore. On hindsight, that perhaps gave me unrealistic expectations as we only found the food mediocre with rather small portions (for the price charged), definitely not living up to expectations. When I shared my views on social media, I received quite a fair number of messages telling me that they felt the same, and that they have been visiting them since their time at Rifle Range and the standards have dropped drastically. I can’t validate the claim as I’ve not visited them before but this first experience definitely did not wow me. Service was actually impeccable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was sadly a bit of the letdown, especially the cold cuts and pasta. Definitely not terrible food but not impressive enough to warrant a second visit.

Loved the homey cozy vibe the minute I walked in. Definitely reminded me one of those days when travelling in Rome. Ordered spicy salami pizza and it was very tasty, crust is super thin and crispy, it is the kind of pizza I really enjoy. Clams are juicy and fresh, so is the steamed sea bass. Excellent Italian restaurant.

Arrived at the Ristorante without any reservation on a Saturday night and got a table for two. Before we were brought to our table, we got our “Infamous” scan of our outfits (as per mentioned by other reviewers) and briefed about a minimum spending of S$75 per pax on Weekends. We ignored their abrupted approach and proceeded to our table to order the following items:- Funghi Saltati In Padella (Well cooked) as starter to go with their Ciabatto (Crispy on the outside and moist inside - Great!), Pizza 4 Formaggi (Crust is cruchy & cheese toppings well cooked), Risotto Porcini (Not creamy enough - maybe due to overstir, Rice grain not consistent), Tagliata Di Manzo - Medium Rare Australian Wagyu Hanging Tender (Not tender enough even though it supposed to be extremely tender for this “Cut”… each piece is not cooked consistently, so i got 2 pieces overcooked & 1 piece rare. Pistachio Panna Cotta (Wow! - Texture is smooth and taste is excellent! Too bad its only available when resto gets hold Italian Pistachio as told by waitress) Ended up with 2 servings of this dessert Overall, food and ambience is Good. Service not as bad as claimed, just ignore the superficial receptionist and untrained waiters (they dont really understand simple english.. like what sauces do they have in their resto to go with our pizza , one replied that they dont have any, but when i asked for tobasco sauce, he brought it over and sarcastically told us that usually they dont serve sauces with pizza and he can serve us Ketchup too if we want… thats a big insult and turn off to us as customer (meaning we dont know how to eat their food or simply cannot choose what we like to go with our food). Wanted to give 4 stars for their food but decided on 3 stars due to their receptionist and untrained waiter.

Was a guest at a party of about 2 dozen so we had the pleasure of the private dining room and it was simply wonderful, uncompromisingly good quality hearty food. Of note the service was truly really top level. Friends who drove were particularly glad for the valet service on a busy Friday night.

Had the burrata, lamb shank, rigatoni & creme bule. Food & service were excellent. Interior decor with traditional Italian vibes. Just noisier than expected; go on less peak hours. There’s a cellar to choose from, but their wine bottles a tad steep 😅 Would come back to try their other pastas and seabass.

A family favourite restaurant that’s been around for a long time and unfortunately they are going to cease operations soon! Food is great as usual, their garlic bread is good, and it’s white truffle season now, best time to enjoy their truffle tagliolini. Their aglio Olio is unique as it comes with whole cloves of garlic, the seafood or lobster versions taste best. Portions are on the small side making it less value for money but taste is always on point.

The classic style decor of the restaurant transports you to a quaint town in Europe. The highlight of course is the food. The special pasta with octopus was delicious. The steak Florentina was spot on. If you order wine, they'll invite you to their wine cellar, which is probably better stocked than most wine shops in town. Not sure if this place will keep going after the turf club is closed. I'll visit more while it's still there

What more can I say except that I wished I had dined here earlier! It is one of the pricer restaurants I’ve been to AND it was worth every dollar 💵 spent! Every food and drink ordered hit the spot for us - deliziosa! Prompt and warm service crew and the chef-owner, Valentino, and his family were present, and personally supervising the service crew and attending to guests. What lovely hospitality! You should be there to soak it all up… food, drinks, great service and lovely ambience (check out the photos!) I will surely miss them when they move out. You can still catch them before their last day on 24 Dec 2023. Dining reservations strongly recommended.

One of the best Italian restaurants you can find in Singapore. Everything was super tasty! It’s a place I would come again and again whenever I’m craving for Italian food! Pasta and pizza were superb. Even appetizers were delicious. Oh did I mention they have a good selection of wines as well? Give them a try if your around that area. Very homely setting :)

A lovely Italian restaurant that has been around for over 10 years. Been patronising them since they were at Rifle Range Road and I can say that they are consistently good. Went there with my family and we ordered a bunch of food so I will keep it short and sweet by saying no-one had anything negative to say about the meal. I guess a negative (I am really clutching at straws here) could be that the fungi ravioli was average but the sauce was really good. The beef short ribs could use more sauce but was fall off the bone tender otherwise. The cappuccino was quite average. Apart from that, the rest of the meal was spot on. Service is good and the staff are very friendly. Will be sad when the turf club closes in 2022. This one is a gem.

Had my birthday celebration here and loved it. The portion were huge, staff were super attentive by clearing and changing plates frequently. I was pleasantly caught by surprise when the staff sang happy birthday. Highly recommended the lamb shank, pizza, salad, tiramisu and lava cake.

Ate here on and off. They’re pretty good but i usually shun their “specials”….the tiny black mussels below at $45 is a good reminder not to waver. Service is good and my fav here is the crab pasta and burata but most of the dishes forsnt disappoint.

Absolutely amazing and authentic Italian food, which comes at a price of course. Fresh and flavourful ingredients, expertly prepared by the Italian chef. Good service as well. Decoration and ambiance is reminiscent of an original Italian trattoria, with pictures of VIP patrons and Ferrari memorabilia. Clean and welcoming bathroom.

Had a great time with some friends for dinner, it was lovely ambience with all the Christmas decor up! Amazing service staff and even the Chef was so friendly! Every dish tasted so good! We had a ball of an evening at the restaurant, heard they are closing their doors end of the year, it’s quite sad to learn about it because I would really hope to be able to have such amazing Italian food in Singapore. Thank You Chef Valentino

Probably one of the best Italian in SG. Fortunately I had the honor to visit before Chef Valentino returns home! The award winning White Chocolate Chiffon indeed lived up to its title. The vintage Amarone grabbed our hearts ☺️ Generous white truffle risotto was mind-blowing!

Had higher expectation of the restaurant however, was a little let down by a few dishes eg. The sautee veg was too salty despite requesting for less salt. Pasta was excellent though. Nevertheless, the ambience and service were very good.

Ciabatta, herbs in oil, high quality balsamic - Excellent. Bread is nicely salted. Went well with unsalted butter Clear chicken soup - Excellent Fettuccine Salsiccia Piccante - Good, but very spicy. Too spicy for me

My initial visit to this place was met with great satisfaction. It epitomizes the standard to which every restaurant should aspire. Ristorante Da Valentino boasts an amiable and well-informed staff, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed. The service is impeccable, and the cuisine is truly delightful. Additionally, the ambiance of the restaurant is charming. A visit here is undeniably worthwhile, offering an exceptional culinary experience at a commendable price. I extend my gratitude for the exceptional experience provided.

Quality of seafood was just average for their prices and the portions are definitely on the small side. We had 3 different types of pasta, the sea bass and bread and burrata for starters. The pasta was consistently al dente and delicious but the fish and lobster didn’t meet our expectations. Restaurant is beautifully set and service is pleasant. Nice choice for a night out.

Have been a fan of their Fettucine al Granchio since 2011 when they were still in Rifle Range road. Back here after a long hiatus (thanks to COVID), and despite the inflation I have no regrets returning here. Had the fried baby cuttlefish which was extremely tender, followed by the Fettucine al Granchio and Orecchiette con Pollo - both of which were fantastic and paired well together. For dessert we went for Perla’s tiramisu which is absolutely the best tiramisu in SG! Won’t be waiting too long before I return again :)

We recently visited this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. Our wait time for seating was minimal, and the ambiance of the place is truly remarkable. The quality of the food surpassed our expectations, and the staff provided exceptional service. Additionally, the presentation of the dishes was both aesthetically pleasing and elegant. The portions offered were quite generous, making it an excellent value for money. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and its remarkable offerings.

Very nice ambience. Have been coming here for more than 10 years. Some dishes r still very good. And they have a good selection of wine.

Friendly staff with good service. The waitress May was very helpful. Food was delicious, albeit a little salty for the tomato-based pasta. I like the warm and freshly baked bread with olive oil, and also the panna cotta and chocolate cake. Good experience to try if you have the budget. I celebrated my mother's birthday there and also tried 2 other times before and really love the pizzas too.

Fantastic setting and welcome for home cooked Italian food. Valentino's is a Singapore institution and the VIPs on the wall (including LKY) is testament to that. The setting is classy and traditional. You can see the loyal clientele keeps returning again and again. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service! Really enjoyed the chef sharing how the beef is processed too! And also the fish poggi is freshly flown from Italy! Also thanks to our wonderful friend for the generous treat!

superb services, food are great, pricey, the vibe is romantic for a couple, the entrance is some walk from the mall entrance, been there on a rainy day so all wet as there's no covered walkway.

The melon for the prosciutto e melone was good but the prosciutto was just ok. The carpaccio di manzo was not bad but the serving was too small. The AOP frutti di mare tasted very good but there were only two prawns and some squid slices, a clam or two, a few shells, and lots of garlic. The tiramisu was not bad but could have had more alcohol. Warm, friendly service from the waiters.

A family business that has stood the test of time. Tucked near the soccer pitch at the Grand Stand, you are greeted with with a warm welcome and a decor of flags, painted pans that remind you of Italy. It is easy to be spoiled for choice from their wide variety of items and specials. Recommended: Burrata platter Pricing is higher than average and portion size are normal hence being a place I would consider for celebrations.

Valentino is the kind of place that comes to your head when you’re thinking of an Italian meal that wouldn’t disappoint. It’s a big restaurant and really well staffed, and they’re all really knowledgeable and are able to give you great recommendations according to what you’re feeling that night. Ultimately, they give excellent service and really makes u feel at home. Valentino has the most impressive walk in wine cellar which houses the finest Italian wines, across all price ranges. This for me is the beauty of this place. Fiorentina t bone is a must order when u come here. The meat simply melts in your mouth. Pastas were delicious but I have to say that the portion is way too little for the price we’re paying! Hence the 4 stars.
