I’m constantly searching for authentic restaurants to satisfy my Korean food cravings and I found Gum Gang Won Korean located along Temple Street. A korean fusion that offers quality experience BBQ and they cater for our Vegan friends too!!! They also offers other classic dishes like a comforting bowl of kimchi soup and good ol’ spicy kimchi pancakes. Do opt for the Gum Gum Set which is Pork and Chicken Platter Set if you’re going for the BBQ as it’s sufficient to feed two hungry adults and it come with free-flow of banchan like kimchi, beansprouts; like most Korean restaurants. The awesome premium cuts and well marinated meat promise to satisfy the inner you. What's even more worth deal is that you get to enjoy selected dishes at 50% off!! I got their Korean steam egg to try. Ultra fluffy Korean Steamed Egg instantly melts in my mouth with its velvety soft texture. Staff recommend their signature crispy fried mushroom. So we decided to give a try. And it's indeed as good as is claim! Super crispy and flavourful. It remains it's crisp despite after it has been left cold while we are busy BBQ-ing. And there's not a bit of greasy either. Simply irresistible! I will be back as the friendly and helpful staff help to make me feel right at home here as I enjoy my hearty Korean food.

Nice and quiet lunch here. There is special lunch promo at only 9.90. After I top up a drink and gst, it’s $12. Quite worth it! Would like to try their other dishes They have a good range of vegan options so it’s a great place for vegan. Refills can top up and they tasted fresh. Overall a nice place

Value lunch promotion @$9.90 excluding service charge 10%. Suitable for vegan. 4 side dishes - refillable. Kimchi is fresh and 👍. Option to topup $1 for drink. Tried the bibimbap twice and i still ❤️ it. Food were served hot. Environment is nice and peaceful on a weekday 1pm. Serving is quite big. Will be back to try other items.

I had searched hard for a good Korean restaurant that will.also provide vegetarian options. I went to Gum Gang Won, without expectations. But when I got there the staff was incredible, they explained their menu, even asked if I am agreeable or not to egg onions and garlic in my food. They even helped me pick out drinks from the menu, that will go well with my food. The food itself was delicious, hot and fresh. I went alone, but next time I am sure to go with a big group, to be able to enjoy everything on the menu.

Wallet-friendly Korean fusion restaurant that also serves Chinese/Vegan cuisine! Had their Bibimbap which was fresh, flavourful and tasty with the added pork slices! Love their sweet chili sauce so be sure to add them! Also had their Jjajangmyeon (vegan) quite a huge bowl, soft noodles that slurps really well with the dark brown sauce! Mock-meat was tasty, had a soft, fibrous texture which resembles real meat pretty well! Tasty! And please order their spicy chicken and signature crispy mushroom! The seasoning was fantastic! The mushroom super creamy! Kept eating this non-stop! Definitely worth your time and trip down! Drop by to try their lunch deal out too! $9.90 onwards with free sides available on weekdays only from 12-3pm only! (:

Korean fusion bbq restaurant at a convenient location. Other than your usual fare, we tried the vegetable pops and fried mushrooms. These mushrooms are addictive! Great with a few beers 🍻 They have a weekday lunch promo where you can pop by for a set lunch!

The interesting part about @gumgangwon is that 🅲🅷🅸🅽🅴🆂🅴 & 🆅🅴🅶🅰🅽 🅲🆄🆂🅸🅽🅴 are also available in their menu. 👍🍩 Μυ𝐬𝐓 tᖇ𝔂 🐣💝 their French Beans stir fried with Pork Belly Cubes that is super yummy and their Crispy Fried Mushroom which is suitable for vegan. Both dishes can be served as a mains or eat it as snack.

The bulgogi was quite the disappointment. It was bland and needed a kick. Can't really say much about the service. They got our food order right and it came out fast. We didn't really feel welcome but that could be due to the fact that we came in pretty late and there was only one table left.

Nana is an exceptional waiter who provided an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she was happy to answer any questions we had about the dishes, including the vegetarian options. Now, onto the food - we ordered a variety of dishes from the Korean menu, including several vegetarian options, and were blown away by the flavors and presentation. The kimchi was tangy and perfectly spiced, the vegetarian mandu was fresh and delicious with an array of vegetables. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and intimate, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We left feeling fully satisfied and eager to come back for more. If you're looking for authentic Korean food with excellent service and vegetarian options, look no further than this gem of a restaurant. Highly recommended! For all types of eaters! 😉

Food is yummy! The beef strips, Korean ginseng chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, the plate of potatoes and brinjal 😋 The 2 ladies waiting on our table is superb 👏

Food was very average. Wouldn’t say it’s worth the price at all. Being a fusion cuisine, most of the dishes don’t taste very good. It follows more of the Chinese tastebuds where it’s a bit more bland, like how the sundubu soup has cucumber in them. And the kimchi pancake literally paper thin, there’s no way to justify it being $22. But, side dishes are free flow in case anyone is wondering. Service as a whole was so-so, it felt like the people were giving attitude. Overall, not a place that I would ever consider dining at again.

This place serves delicious Korean and Chinese fusion food, and vegan options available too. 🤩Located centrally, just 3mins walk from Chinatown station. 🚊 Featured here are; 1️⃣Hot plate Squid with pork belly rice - MUST TRY 🤤 2️⃣Beef Bibimbap - MUST TRY 🤤 3️⃣Jjajangmyeon 4️⃣Grilled Saba Fish with rice 5️⃣Signature Crispy Mushroom 🍄 ($19) - this is one of their signature dish , cut mushrooms coated with buttery flour and deep-fried , best eaten hot, very crispy and addictive 😋. 1️⃣~4️⃣ are lunch valued meals priced only $9.9+ and comes with free flow side dishes. The Portions are generous too, Super worth it. I personally love their bibimbap and hot plate squid 🦑 with pork belly rice. The former is flavorful with lots of crunchy vegetables and the latter is stir fried squid and pork belly served on hot plate, the sauce is super savory to pair with rice. Soo Yummy!! 😋 The lunch deal is available on every weekdays 11am-3pm except weekends and PHs.

Came for dinner with colleagues & so glad to have 2 full pages of veg options available! They even have veg BBQ & army stew 😍 so inclusive! Their homemade kimchi is especially good that we bought some back for out family too😋 definitely a great place for gatherings!

Ordered Bulgogi Rice (Beef) and Squid with Pork Belly Rice (spicy). The lunch sets came with 4 side dishes (including kimchi and bean sprouts). All the drinks (add on) cost 1 dollar which was very worth it. But, barley tea was more worth it. Came in one whole jar and also only one dollar. Experience was wonderful here :)

[Gum Gang Won Korean Restaurant] 🌟 Food 8.5/10 (Vegan alternatives!!) 📍 Chinatown 💰 Vege hotpot ($39.8++), Plant based bulgogi ($28++), Kimchi pancake ($22++) This is a solid Korean BBQ place with vegan alternatives! They have free flow banchan (side dishes) which are nice appetisers. Although the price is steep, the vegan meat are almost indistinguishable from normal meat based on mouth feel and taste. The hotpot is very filling and highly recommend it for people looking for a hearty meal without the meat coma. Good for groups and the owner is very friendly!!! I appreciate how there’s a separate vegetarian menu. The vegetarian deep fried french beans were absolutely delicious 💯. Had ordered vegetarian cold noodles and it was very refreshing and nice as well. The staff checked for dietary restrictions when I ordered the vegetarian items, which is a nice gesture. The banchan were not bad too — I liked the radish very much. Price is not cheap but the food portion is very big, and we were very full. I am wondering if it’d be possible to reduce both the portion and the price — for your consideration please :).

Had the vegan jjajangmyeong and the braised tofu is quite flavourful. Not crowded during lunch though the lunch menu is cheaper compared to dinner. It is a nice hidden gem to dine out with vegetarian diners.

There are lots of Chinese and Korean restaurant in Chinatown. Gum Gang Won is one of it providing both dishes and vegan menu as well. Featured here is the Lunch Deal ($9.9, provided on weekday only), which included free flow side dish and you can add on $1 for drinks too. Food we tasted: Kimchi Myeon ($9.9) Bibimbap with beef ($10.9) Jja Jang Myeon ($9.9) Squid with Pork Belly Rice ($9.9) Signature Crispy Mushroom ($19) GGW Spicy Chicken ($25) The portion of their lunch deal was very generous. No GST was needed. I especially like Kimchi Myeon. It was sour enough and not too spicy. Besides their lunch set, GGW Spicy Chicken was another must try item. Chicken was tender and spicy for my liking.

Had Gum Gang BBQ set for 2, meat well marinated, the sauce that came with it complemented the barbecued meat flavours. Ordered additional dish Soon doo bu at 50% off on every set ordered, gave a great value. Also had their signature dish crispy mushrooms, love it that it's well seasoned and it's not too oily.

Established since 2010, Gum Gang Won is the 1st fusion Korean restaurant which serves authentic Korean cuisine + Chinese classics + Vegan cuisine all under one roof! It makes organising gathering with family & friends with different dietary preferences and restrictions so much easier. 🥢Gum Gum set $78.80: Good variety of pork belly, marinated chicken steak, Sweet soy marinated pork belly slices, Chicken bulgogi, Pork Jowl and Garlic marinated pork collar. Enjoyed a feast with their well marinated and premium cut of meat! Wrapped the meat with lettuce for an authentic K-experience. 🥢Seafood pancake $11 (after 50% discount with order of set): Though it was the thinner kind of pancake, it was not oily and really crispy on the outside & flavorful. Would be perfect if fillings could be more substantial. 🥢Banchan FOC: Kimchi was crunchy and flavourful. I especially enjoyed turnip + carrot with Yuzu marination which was refreshing and paired well with BBQ. 🥤Korean barley tea: $2.50 per head Left with a satisfied tummy!

Reasonably priced Korean food at Chinatown. Kimchi jiggae was more sour than usual but I liked it that way, seafood pancake was a disappointment as we can’t actually taste any piece of seafood, as for the Kimbab it was average… maybe it’s the quality of ingredients? The side dishes were not seasoned enough but at least it’s refillable so we paired it with the sour kimchi soup. Yummy! Considering the price with other restaurant in Chinatown, this is a good deal. $50 for 2 pax… happy tummy happy wallet! Also the staff were friendly and quick to attend to us despite the short staff they were. Cheers to the helpful waitress! Kamsahmnida 😉

A cozy Korean Fusion Restaurant located near Chinatown MRT station. The meats from their signature BBQ set are well marinated and comes with different meat parts. The Spicy Chicken are very crispy and you can still taste the chicken meat. Super Yummy. The go to place if you are want to have a mix of Chinese and Korean food.

Had their Korean BBQ and other Korean dishes here. Vegan BBQ and other vegetarian options are also available. 🥩Gum Gang Set (BBQ Beef & Pork) Succulent and well-marinated meats! 🥓Braised Pork Belly with Kimchi Flavourful and tender! 🐓Samgyetang (Whole Chicken) Appetising and comforting! 🥞Seafood Pancake Crispy and thin! Will be better if there is more seafood haha. 🍜Jja Jang Myeon The noodle is al dente and the sauce is good. But maybe need to remind them to drain the noodles fully as it turned watery after mixing. Apart from this slight bummer, we still enjoyed the rest of the meal. ☺️ 📣If you find my above review helpful, check out my IG @samlivestoeat for more foodie reviews! 🥰

We are excited to find vegetarian menu with vegan options in a Korean restaurant! Great place to visit if you miss Korea. Love the vibes and the fact that their food is served piping hot! I am surprised that they asked if we can take egg and alliums when taking order, so veg friendly! Their kimchi pancake is a must try, crispy on the outside and soft inside. And their Crispy Mushroom is so delicious, can't stop once I started eating. It is great to be able to decide how much sauce to add for our Bibimbap, so yummy! While their Tofu Soup with dumpling is lightly seasoned and the spiciness is built up gradually, so comforting! There are also lots of alliums free options too. 😃

Ordered their Gum Gang Set that comes with a variety of beef and pork meats. What’s better is that there 50% off for my Soon Do Boo Jjigae… Good food and service! If you’re lazy like me, you can get the service staff to do the grilling of meats!
