👍 The food is good. It has an amazing ambience and antique decor. We decided to visit this place during lunch and it wasn't that crowded. Their service was efficient and the food was hot and fresh. We ordered dal tadka and the roti basket. They were scrumptious and enriched with flavour. I really enjo... The food is good. It has an amazing ambience and antique decor. We decided to visit this place during lunch and it wasn't that crowded. Their service was efficient and the food was hot and fresh. We ordered dal tadka and the roti basket. They were scrumptious and enriched with flavour. I really enjoyed the tandoori aftertaste of the dal. The rotis were soft and fluffy. They weren't bland at all. We also enjoyed the vegetarian briyani. It smelled heavenly as there was a lot of spices and seasoning. The price was also very reasonable. However, the paneer butter masala could have been less sweeter along with the lime soda. It is a pure vegetarian place and vegan options are available. Overall,I really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it.

I was having Indian food crave and found this place while googling for Indian restaurant near to where I lived and found this. I am so glad that I came here. This is the most enjoyable Indian food I have had for quite while. My previous favourite was Song of India and this will be go-to place for Indian cuisine. The ambience and aroma of spices that filled the whole restaurant was so welcoming. The food is so good. There is a serving of toasted papad that is so unlike the normal ones and a great start to the meal. We ordered a fish (Methi Fish which is fish fillet cooked in fenugreek leaves gravy), mutton (fiery mutton curry from Rajasthan), chickpeas and a butter naan. The dishes are the best we have eaten for a while. Even while savouring the food, I was already making plans to come back again.

It was our first visit today. Everything was perfect from start to end. The lady who was there was amazing (sorry I didn’t get your name). We ordered kurkure bhindi (crispy ladies finger which absolutely crunchy and amazing), tandoori chicken (which tasted really great but just a little dry), Paneer hariyali tikka (our first time trying this dish and it was surprisingly good), jhinga biryani (prawn biryani was delicious, prawns were big, succulent and fresh!), chicken lollipops which were really nice too and we loved it! We also tried butter & garlic naan which we enjoyed very much. The drinks were really affordable too. Definitely looking forward to patronising again.

First off, the service by Mdm Sara was very professional. She called me to inform that the restaurant will close within 30mins of my Eatigo reservation, clearly aware we may not have enough time to order and eat. I rescheduled for the next day and was not disappointed. Gobi manchurian was crispy and tasty. Fried okra was not oily and salty. Went well with the mint dip. The Kadai Paneer and vegetable briyani was decent. Very clean and welcoming restaurant and highly recommended. Will definitely return to try the rest of the dishes.

Darbar, Joo Chiat: We dropped by Darbar as it’s near our hood and there was a sudden craving for North Indian fare after a long European trip. There’s also Vatan Se, a cute Indian eatery a few units down with a car front to add to the ambience. Darbar is a no-frills eatery with some token Turkish lamps so points off for ambience when benchmarked against Vatan Se. Service is swift and generally warm. The food is OK, presentation lacking. We had cheese naan that looked like raw naan with cheese absent. We also ordered the Puri after going through their IG feed but the presentation was completely different and dull. Plus it’s overpriced. Shrimp Mirch Masala was rich and tasty but a little overpriced. Our fav was Panner Hariyali Tikka which had a lovely tikka richness and thick slabbed. Thankfully we had discounts thanks to eatigo app but we won’t be back. We will be at Vatan Se which is priced lower and with better looking presentations from what I see on Google Reviews. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Excellent Indian food! A new eatery that’s opened in Tanjong Katong in Aug 2019 however they are not brand new, this is the second outlet and first was in Serangoon gardens. Most of the dishes we ordered were outstanding, i enjoyed the gobi manchurian (deep fried cauliflower in herbs and spices) and chicken tikka masala the most, but tandoori chicken, butter naan, garlic naan were excellent too. The only dosh which was not as good was the tandoori jumbo prawns, it was alright but probably not the best. Service was superb, the uncle at the shop was very friendly and nice. The environment of the restaurant was clean and cozy. Alcohol was pretty cheap too - $5 for beers or house wine and cocktails.

Darbar is a great option for Indian cuisine in Tanjong Katong. I had an amazing set lunch for $10. Visit if you have not as it’s not only great value but hits the spot for quality food!

Delicious food and nice people working here! We have been enjoying the food here since the last few years. It's a great place for couple nights, or even with a larger group of 4 to 6. Always look forward to meals here.

I got their veg lunch buffet, very delicious, and reasonably priced. Their hospitality and friendliness stood out. I will go again often, and I am also looking to try their chaats!

Yesterday on the way back from East Coast Beach stopped by to eat. We enjoyed the food and ambience. The manager was the great difference, he made us feel welcome and helped us choose the food. Very pleasant personality. Highly recommend this place. We live in upper Thomson, we chose this area as Serangoon rd is super packed in weekends 👌

Beautiful space. Ordered the lamb kebab, chicken tikka masala, paneer malai and naan basket. Great burst of spaces in each dish, packed with ingredients and spices. Chicken tikka masala was a fave but a little on the salty side. Portions are quite big. Also ordered a mango lassi, pretty small glass for $6. Water is chargeable. Do note they don’t do takeaway for eatigo users. Would revisit!

An authentic North Indian restaurant isn’t exactly a brand new concept for the Singapore food scene, or that of the East Coast to be honest. So there’s plenty of options if you want similar food. Darbar however doesn’t promise to be anything spectacular, but just good North Indian food. Inside it’s very plain and simple and the service is prompt and nice. The food is good and tastes authentic. The lamb shish kebab had nice spices that gave the soft meat a little kick. The butter chicken was creamy and the meat tender and the lady finger curry was rich in flavour and spices. The garlic naan was as expected, crispy and soft. All in all the meal was nice and enjoyable, the price was a little on the high side, but Darbar was honest and served the food it promised well.

One of the best Indian food place in Singapore with a good range of authentic items such as Tandoori, briyani etc. Lamb kebab was nicely done and had good flavour. Chicken briyani and the dal were also pretty good. Good mix of different types of naan as well. Staff service is friendly and efficient.

Great tasty food, aromatic spices! Rogan ghosh was super meaty, the chicken curry was spicy but good. Fish mehti was quite sublime...went well with the naan and parathas. All good!

Con: 3 star only because the service was really slow, lemonade not good Pro: food is really tasty and definitely worth the wait. Tried their soya chap masala , baigan bharta, tandoori dal and mustard honey paneer and roti platter..

👍👍 👍😉🧧😋 Nice authentic laska , just the right amount of chilies, spices and coconut. The overall texture of the while Noodle just nice. It will be good if the base soup is hotter. The Otak average no that fresh . The Nasi Lemak $2.00 . No need to think just buy !😉🧧😋🙃🤒
