We came here for dinner on Saturday night, service was really really good. The food was amazing for the price point and the portion. The flavours were well thought out and executed and the textures as well. Can’t believe we lived just round the corner for 4 years and never noticed it. Will come back to try the other dishes!

This restaurant was recommended by my husband’s friends and he decided to bring me here for my birthday. We definitely had a great time here. Chef will come out and explain each dish. Absolute delicious food with top-notch service. My favourite dishes are tuna salsa with prawn crackers and New Zealand Lamb Rack. We are already thinking of revisit soon.

Nice vibe, with amazing food. Meats are all very well done, able to taste chef’s skills in the cooking and meticulousness. Was here for an early v-day dinner. Quality and fresh ingredients, with perfect portions, will be back again!

Chef Gabriel attended to us. As it was our first time here after hearing good reviews from friends, Chef Gabriel happily introduced us some of their wonderful dishes. Here were what we had: 1. Amuse Bouche 2. Tuna Salsa with Prawn Cracker (The prawn cracker elevates the taste of the tuna salsa) 3. 8picurean Crabcake with Chilli Crab Sauce (real crabmeat with made from scratch tomato chilli sauce - delicious) 4. Gamberro Rossa Tagliolini (pasta soaked up the umami prawn broth, best pasta I ever had, fresh prawn and each bite 'exploded' with ebiko) 5. Spanish Octopus with Chickpea Puree and Paprika Mayo (experienced difference texture on the tentacles - from soft tender to crispy char) 6. Herb & Nuts Crusted NZ Lamb Rack (Tender meat with no gamey smell. Love the cauliflower puree with no cream, healthier version) 7. Tiramisu 8picurean (I have not had nice Tiramisu for a long time. No added sugar as the liquor has its sweetness. The basil gives a unique taste to the tiramisu, subtle yet very pleasant) Chef Gabriel also helped us to pair White and Red wine for our meal. He explained every detail of each dish. We can feel the food was prepared with love. Overall we had a great experience, the food quality is really good. Fresh ingredients. Our palettes had a party and happy tummies. Definitely come back again :)

Truly a 5 star dining experience. Place is homely with friendly owners who take the time to explain their dishes and engage questions. The food concepts were a great take on fusion-ish dishes. Absolutely loved the beetroot gazpacho with burrata (never tried anything like that before and taste still lingers in my mind). The angels hair pasta with raw prawns is delicious and the prawns used are so sweet! Would definitely be back again to try more of the menu.

Having read all the splendid reviews, I had high expectations for the food. I liked the capellini and octopus. Beef Ragu tasted like ntuc frozen lasagne, rest of the dishes were normal.

It’s been a while since we have had such excellent Italian fare. My personal favourite is the ultra-soft beef cheek, while my wife loved the tiramisu. It’s definitely a worthwhile trip!

Had the tuna salsa with prawn crackers, Sakura Ebi Tagliolini, foie gras with risotto & Tiramisu 8picurean. Was totally blown away by the quality and how original the food was. Also the genuine friendliness of the people really warms my heart. I feel welcome and happy to be here. Definitely will come back again!

My wife and I went to the restaurant for our 10th year anniversary. And the food experience didn’t disappoint. The service was prompt and he made some recommendations too. We preferred the ala cart items as compared to the lunch set items. Hence, a higher spending. The crab cake was solid packed with crab meat and the sauce compliments the crab cake so well. Loved the octopus dish, juicy and tender inside and charred fragrance on the outside. But the sauce would be subjective. Tiramisu tasted special, we caught the hint of pistachio amongst the almonds. Very favourful dessert.

Had a great dining experience here. Food was good and I enjoyed every dish, esp the prawn with avocado starter & pastas. Would definitely come back for dinner to try the rest of the menu. This restaurant is quite small so reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment. Reasonable price with 0 GST. Recommended!

Made a reservation here on a Friday night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and no regrets. Food was fantastic and service given to us was even more amazing. Love what Gabriel and Cornie (sorry if I spelt your name wrongly!) are doing here with bold authentic flavours, minimise waste, and all at an affordable price. We could really tell the amount of effort that goes into their food and the pride in what they serve. 8picure is truly a hidden gem in the River Valley area. Their crabcake and tiramisu are definite must tries for those who come here! We look forward to coming back again!

Very well executed dishes. Italian but with a local twist @ affordable price. Strongly recommended.

Food was superb. We tasted the wagyu tagliatelle, lamb rack, crab cake, prawn pasta, and both desserts. All are delicious and of premium quality. Would’ve tried a lot more from the menu if we hadn’t already too full. Chef was really nice & even gave special decoration for my husband’s birthday.

The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. There was only one chef in the kitchen. The serving size was incredibly small and the wait time was 20-30mins between each dish. They served the starter - some tartare with prawn crackers - with prawn crackers served in a sealed ziploc bag. We left after 2 hours in the middle of the main course because the dishes took too long. Went to another restaurant to have proper dinner after.

Surprise find that turned out to be a gem. Food was amazing, every dish was perfectly done and the tiramisu is a must try. Chef and service staff were friendly and most helpful. Compliments to the Chef and service crew.
