Located in CBD makes an easy choice for office lunches specially when a buffet is preferred, so we end up visiting the place often . 1-1 promotional offers on OCBC & Citibank cards makes the buffet appear a good bargain with $75 for 2 pax. The menu is a fusion of Asian and western choices . The spread is reasonable with choices of sushis, sashimis , grilled / baked meats, salads , and an array of local choices from fish curries, chicken rice , laksa to DIY rojak . There are a few drinks choices as a part of the buffet and the coffee and tea is good ! The service is appalling at the counters with the chef at sushi sashimi counter being particularly rude ! Some of the counter food gets finished by 1pm (eg within an hour) though the buffet is supposed to be on till 2:30, and they are not replenished. Likely the training and encouragement from the management to be that way as a cost saving measure as this has been ongoing for over an year without change . However it creates a poor impression both for the restaurant and for Singapore service industry as a whole as many visiting guests take note of this . Hope they pull up their act before it’s late !

Celebrated my birthday here at amara, element. Loved their desserts the most. Their cakes are lovely, and not too sweet. My friends liked their snow crab legs and i personally loved the roasted char siew. They had a variety of local delights, such as laksa, chicken rice, satay, stingray, crayfish, and rojak. Simple dishes such as beehoon was unexpectedly good. Local delights all were tasteful and all really nice overall 👍🏻 a little disappointing for salmon as a salmon lover as the cuts was not as good as expected, however, still really worth the money and would come back here again to have a feast on cakes and the local food 👍🏻

Consider a cheap hotel buffet dinner. Service was good. But not much choice of food. Raw Oyster was not very fresh. I got diarrhoea and vomiting for 2 days after consuming. I'm not sure if it is the half cooked octopus or raw oysters. But my friend who went with me was alright (she did not take the octopus).

30 July 2023 (Sunday) Went for this buffet lunch (cum Mao Shan wang durian) @$128 (for 3 pax ) also come with champagne. Booking 12 to 3pm Durian start at 1pm. A)There are also other type Durians to chose like (101 and hei chi) Personal view - 1) Food& Taste 4.5/5 2) Environment 4.5/5 3) Price (very subjective but more discount recommended) Total bill A) $128 @ citibank 10% discount = $345 B) 10% service charge = $38.40 C) 8% GST = $30.72 D) TOTAL = $414.72 Have also checked with hotel staff with regards to Chope (App) stated 15% discount for OCBC (valid till 30 Sept 2023). The lady staff stated the only promotion discount is citibank (10% discount total bill) In my opinion Chope (App) should update the discount are only mend for citibank credit card. (10% discount). #maoshanwang #durian #element #singapore #buffet #weekend

Came this evening (15/02/24) for a valentine date. Very disappointed in the food and service here. Initially saw it on TikTok when some influencer promoted it, it looked good there. Now I understand, maybe it was a paid promotion. First of all, the atmosphere is not the best. Tables were placed very close to one another. When you walk in, it just doesn’t feel like you’re walking into a hotel standard buffet. Then the service, the man at the sashimi bar was rude. When we ask for the sashimi, we are greeted with “what you want?!” In a very rude manner and they way he communicates with the customers is not nice. However, the staffs were fast to clear our used plates on the table and were borderline friendly. Last, the food. The sushi doesn’t taste very fresh and of good quality. Same can be said for their snow crab legs, it wasn’t as fresh. The meat was rather dry and tasteless. I did not eat any of the raw food as I’m allergic, therefore no comments on the sashimi, mussels. The cooked food was below average. It includes the self serve rojak station, roast pork, roast chicken, ghor hiang, herbal duck, stir fry pork and grilled chicken. The acceptable cook food that was pretty good was their fried bee Hoon & chicken satay. Those were pretty yummy. The WORST dish there was the Chilli crab. Now I don’t expect Tzar Char standard but it wasn’t even close. The crabs were extremely small, the meat was so dark in colour and it breaks apart so easily. It felt like the crab was stored for a long time. It taste very very bad. The sauce was okay with the mantou. Overall, I would not pay 98++ (dinner) for a buffet of this standard. Won’t be revisiting.

Had another group had buffet at this eatery on mid of this year 2023 only. Went again with a differ group for the festive buffet. But was very great disappointed for this restaurant management for the salmon sashimi. Not only it had depleted fast & no replenishment after that. For both occasions, we went for lunch buffet. Yet the treatment was totally differ. Maybe becos of the hotel is under-going renovation 🥺

Advertised as $78++ per person, with some promotions, they allow 1 for 1 dining. ok really really....please you can give this place a miss. You know how you get really excited when you plan to go for a buffet invite your colleagues, friends or business partners. Then choose the location...Amara Hotel, cannot be that bad correct? Ok, well do not get your expectations up too high. One star I am giving for location. So for the food, given that we are in Singapore I think a little more thought can be done by the Kitchen when it comes to this, so maybe your food cost is challenging, well that why Exec Chefs and Food and Beverage Gurus get paid the big bucks. Why put items on the buffet just for the heck of it. So must have one Pasta dish...let's just put one on the buffet and call it PASTA. even though the cream has split and the Penne breaking up because its overcooked. let's also include some of the local delights, ok, Ngoh Hiang and fried Bee Hoon, Mee Soto. They always said, you eat with your eyes first, moreover in this generation, all guests start eating using their phones first to blast to people how great the buffets look. But please, you really need to look at the overall presentation and taste as well. The locals will be the first to pass judgement. I doubt that any of the staff there tasted the Mee Soto or thought to say anything about the presentation of the Ngoh Hiang and Bee Hoon. This was one of the most painful buffets I have come across. So if food cost is a challenge, Staffing is a challenge, or whatever the reason, low occupancy, the client demographics in the area don't care for buffets or maybe its Chinese New Year, and everyone is away. You know, the quantity can be reduced, but really taste and quality has to be great, never settle is what they would say. the one thing that was clearly not there was passion and attention to detail. So for this, I will give this a miss. Your money and stomach space is better off somewhere else.

I was here alone to chill and was amazed with the excellent customer service rendered by your staff, Jessy who went the extra miles to know my alcohol preference even though I am not a regular that she is accustomed to. Keep up the good work, Amara Element and Jessy!

Came for 1 for 1 deals by credit card. 1 pax paid about $63(included SC+GST) Worth it for the 1 for 1 deals. Fresh oysters from Japan 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Sashimi was fresh 😋😋😋 Variety of foods is adequate and sufficient for us. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 *Not a lot of variety(as we shouldn’t compare to $150 upwards pricing buffets) Manager, Serving chefs and wait staff were attentive and polite. Do reserve a table before heading down as always full house. Avoid seatings near the bar area due to limited space to walk as blocked by wine chillers. Overall a very good experience for my family and will go back again! Highly recommended 👍🏼

My friends and I visited Element restaurant at Amara Hotel in June 2023. The food was outstanding, sashimi was fresh and sliced into nice thick slices. The cze char dishes was so good, all of us had many servings of it with wonderful wok hey flavours in the dish. Breakfast options were available much to our delight as I was craving hash browns these few days! Omelettes were cooked perfect and amazing inside and out with options of tomato, ham, mushroom, bell pepper and cheese. Seafood options included mussels, prawn and clams. Dessert was my favourite with chocolate cakes, durian dessert, kueh kueh and last but not least, the perfect way to end my unlimited appetite for buffet was the free flow Mao Shan wang and D24 durians freshly opened before my eyes. I would highly recommend this buffet as I'm fully stuffed from this lunch till I think I would have to skip dinner all together❤️. The manager in charge of taking care of our group was Freddy and he took the time to guide us to our table, having hearty chit chats along the way and made sure during our meal that our every whims were being met. Service staff (Vin, Jessy & Manjeet) were always attentive in clearing our plates when we were done and asking us how our meal is going. Overall, amazing food, chill relaxing atmosphere and impeccable service. Kudos to all staff and managers for our great and unforgettable experience here. We would definitely be coming back for more and more! Thank you everyone! Round of applause for a job well done!

The buffet was a disappointment at the price. Spread is limited and not value for money. The staff did not come to clear the tables until aged to do so. But staff explained that they were short handed for that day. Staff were polite and apologetic. We were also disturbed by the noise of renovation adjacent to our table. Quite upset for this lunch.

Returning to SG for early CNY. Last stay here was before covid in 2020. The food quality and taste is terrible. Nasi lemak has no taste in rice n sambal is pathetic. Western dishes are mediocre at best. Service staff are lacking n they really tried their best but there was just too many tables - leading to lack of service. Worse we’re the uninvited ‘guests’ that came in the form of flies buzzing around the cafe early in the morning breakfast. Seating was cramped .. with tables packed together. Staff were not very interested in serving. The arriving counter staff just waved us in and we were lost on which table to sit- with all service staff ignoring us. Variety in the breakfast was lacking. The noodle soup was tasteless with bright yellow noodles. Bland was the overall taste for all the few dishes which they grouped as ‘buffet’. Never seen such tasteless food and they charge $35 for such mediocre breakfast with Inhouse guests pay $23…
