Went about 6.30pm on a weekday, most shops were closed. Probably more a morning/lunch hawker. Tried the kolo mee, texture of noodle was good but felt that there wasn’t much of a taste, Chili was just so-so. Putu puring was nice, the gula melaka and coconut went well tgt. Duck rice is good! Satay was just average. Not charred enough(?) pretty meaty and not too oily.

Tried the Laksa Sarawak noodle. Taste was quite good. Price on higher side and quantity I find too little.

a GIANT market that not only has an unlimited number of stalls and cuisines, but is also super convenient to get to as there are bus stops and mrt stops nearby! this place is definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

I will like to recommend one of the best Sarawak kolo mee at this hawker. It is not the well branded one on the net. It is the stall #01-51, Sarawak kolo mee & laksa. The shallot oil used to season the bowl of noodle is savoury. The chicken cutlet served with the noodles were hand made by auntie and battered by her. The chilli is great too. I can eat it 5 days in a row straight and eating this makes you happy. Go give it a try as the Q is short most of the time

Small wet market til I want to cry. Due to the Geylang Serai market monthly washing and we have no other choice just walk over this wet market, the hawker centre have alots of choices Malay , chinese, western , Indian etc. best finding is the fruits stall and the chinaware store, love it to the max! Enjoy the photos !

Sarawak Kolo Mee is my defacto here. There are two stalls serving this but I like the one at 01-05 better. Seasoning is just right and noodles are cooked to perfection! This stall came from SinMing where I patronise regularly before they moved to Haig Rd. By far the best kolo mee I had.

Everything looks nice and tasty, the prices are all reasonable. As a not strict Vegetarier I found couple of clean stands here, which offer the options that you could choose rice or porridge with various cooked vegetables. Like it a lot!

Lots of good food options to choose. Always feel very busy. 1pm and my favorite porridge shop is already finished. Reasonable priced.

We had the roast duck, sio bak and char siew and they were all very good. Wife was very impressed with the sio bak and thinks it's probably the best she's ever had in SG; I think it's certainly amongst the top 2-3 I've tried. Also, the roast duck was very tender and flavorful - I certainly think I've never had a more memorable version before but granted I don't often order it. The char siew was also top notch - tender and smoky with enough charred bits to make every bite a satisfying one. Sadly this place is just a little too out of the way for us to come by more often for the treat. 😋

04 Feb 2023: Looks like a never ending queue in the morning at KIAT HUAT WANTON NOODLES and for $3.50; you get a nice plate of springy noodles, tasty wanton and tender slices of char siew. Equally good is the fried dumpling @$4.00 for 5 pieces. 01 Jan 2022: Great place to dine and pretty wide choices at reasonable prices too. SARAWAK KOLO MEE and MR VADAI are good simple meal with a light snack.

Always love these old school hawker centre they provide the best food and the best price . They Taste yummy and do not taste like central kitchen food . All the old hawkers are friendly and professional in their own recipes too

A little food enclave that serves the nearby housing estates. A cultural mixed spectrum of food served.

It was my first ever visit and really enjoying it ☺️. Especially the mutton soup from Mohamed Ayman. Outstanding! Thank you very much.

This market is SUPER cheap. With rising prices in Singapore now you'll be hard pressed to find food at this price. 2meat+2veg economic rice is $4. Claypot noodles, $3.50. Kopi is 1.10. This place is quite the gem.

Portion is very generous, with the right amount of spice to Tom Yum soup. The prawns are fresh.

Nice food market with quite a few choices. They have two dedicated rows for Muslim food and the remainder of rows served other varieties. I settled for char siu with plain rice which came in at less than $5 SGD. very good value for a decent portion of food.

Had the wanton noodles from Zheng Guang noodles stall. What I liked about the food and prices here are the reasonable prices- $4.50 for an additional portion of noodles . This stall uses the thick textured noodles and maybe, less diners opting for that . But for a quick meal during lunch w/o fighting queues and the old couple understood cantonese was a great help. Washed the meal down with sugar cane juice drink next door. Relish these 'gems of a meal' while you can. They are fast fading as some of the hawkers retire . If you are alone, you can still find a spare seat . Not for fussy types who have to share the table with strangers and brave the cigarette wafts.

Very clean. They have separate hall for halal food. They also have spot for smoking.

It's my place in the central east when I need a fix for herbal mutton soup. The famous haig Road putu piring is also here, together with a huge selection of halal food. The braised duck porridge is also a must try. compatible with the one at geylang lor 35.

Every time I walk past this stall always long queue , decided to try their mee Soto , kinda disappointed that the begedil ( Malay style potato patties ) is those factory made , not hand made 😑 . Shredded chicken meat no taste at all 🙄. Only the broth and chilli is good . Behind the food center , there's a aquarium shop , price are all super reasonable . Friendly environment in the wet market .

Tried the Chinese style mutton soup and fell in love, especially the tendons. Although not cheap... Mei Mei Satay - The medium size plate of carrot cake at $4 was good value and delicious.

Food wise is not bad. Some shop really serves delicious food. Just that some people don't put back their tray after eating and table quite dirty , need to wipe your own 😅. But will definitely come back for the food

Bought a take-away Gado-Gado at Afandi & Hawa Family Mee Rebus as early 9.15am. Brought back found spolied food. Seems the egg or rice that causes it. My first time encounter this.

Two of my favourite stalls are here. The mee goreng stall at the far end and the putu piring stall which is 2 stalls away from the mee goreng guy.His mutton chop is also very tasty

This carrot cake stall @#01-57 Soon Lee Cooked Food (next to SG prawn noodles) has slices of fishcake. Interesting and yummy texture added. Their black carrot cake is good. 👍 Loi Ming porridge is smooth, pity I find it abit too watery for my liking. Youtiao is not crispy as they were chopped and add into the porridge instead of a stick dough placed on the bowl.

👍 Not a big hawker centre......pretty spacious, clean and well ventilated. Enjoyed the mee siam and laksa from Hup Hup and also the unique masala carrot cake from 333. Mee Siam gravy with a twist; the tanginess, rich coconut and nutty flavour. Equally shiok is laksa especially the fragrant and rich c...
