The place has all sorts of amenities for everyone. There’s a dog run for pet owners to bring their dogs. Restaurants both high end and fast food. Exercise equipment. And even a spa! Occasionally otters will drop by and stay to feast on the fish in the stream. Weekends are a good time to see people doing tai-chi, bringing their dogs for a walk, even people with their multi-coloured parrots.

Loved this park. Specially the water pond & the lotus pond. One more highlight in this park was the small water play area for the kids. Something which my kid loved. Many reviews have been posted about a stream which can be crossed using the stones as bridges. Unfortunately couldn’t find that. Would love to visit again.

A large area for any outdoor activity. Good place for a run or jog or outdoor games. It also has a large playground for kids. Comfort rooms are wide but need proper maintenance. Only downside is that there are no vending machines or any food courts nearby.

Beautiful park in the satellite towns of Bishan and Ang Mo Kio. The part that is closer to Bishan is known as River Plains while the other portion is Pond Gardens. The 2 portions are separated by Marymount Road. A stream flows through the park creating soothing waterside scenery

The extreme beauty of this place was just breathtaking! Not to mention incredibly fun and playful for the inner child with all the wood structures to connect deeper with nature. Had quite a bit of red ants and other mosquitoes but aside from that - it is a very large and beautifully geometrical place to check out! Fun for families, dog walks and just to simply be at ease in nature and in peace. Many people doing yoga and having fun with the structures all around. The children are truly in their element here. Amazing place with rivers and cute placements to connect with water energy too though there aren't much or any shelters around for when it rains aside from the Macdonalds haha! Fishes, storks and squirrels and chickens/roosters are a familiarity at this place ♡ just please don't harm our eco system and nature by littering or catching the animals. 🙏🏻 great place to meditate and simply just be ~

Nice part with very open space, enjoy all the times from dawn to late afternoon. It is divided into different part with different scenery, bridge, botanic garden, fitness, playground, lying chairs, ponds, you almost do all sorts of light exercise or enjoyment here. I like the flowers, plants spread to every corner of the park, the color, the feature, all makes you enjoyable in this well designed park.

Big and spacious park, seamlessly connected with Ang Mo Kio Park. Ideal for jogging or leisurely walks in the fresh air. Ensure you wear suitable shoes for long walks. The park has a McDonald's – a convenient spot to grab a meal or take a break. While strolling, be mindful of joggers and cyclists to avoid any collisions. Overall, relish the serene views the park has to offer.

Stunning urban oasis with something for everyone. Love the unexpected sights and scents of nature at every corner of this jewel of a park. Have only explored half and looking forward to many more walks around this park. 🌳 🌤

Well maintained and reasonably clean. Lots of green, open spaces. The park has different features to suit all ages, including a few wild animals to delight nature lovers. The park is quite big in area but can sometimes be crowded in the evenings because certain sections are more popular than others.

Went here during the evening of the weekend, Sunday. Been here for a few times now…the last I’ve been here was 5 years ago, at the Bishan park area…I feel that there are more things to see at the AMK side like the Water Playground and a few ponds and lakes around!👍💕 At that part of the park, there were condominiums behind the park itself and the Bright Hill Cross Island Line station which is still under construction…the park is really clean and spacious…many greeneries and animals to be found there like, hornbills, red jungle fowl and even the plantain squirrels…I really loved the playgrounds there…from the AMK side, it is easy to get to Lower Pierce Reservoir!!! To tell you a fun fact, just below a portion of the park at the AMK side, below the Kallang River, is actually a tunnel of the TEL line that connects Bright Hill and Mayflower MRT Station!!!📔 It’s easily assessable by public transport and cars (there’s designated parking spots around…)😃😃 It’s a nice place to go to during the mornings and evenings…especially watching the sun rise and sets at the park…would come back here again soon…😊

A park buzzing with wildlife and activities for the whole family. Having grown up in the neighbourhood, it had been amazing to see the transformation of the algae-stained concrete canal into a picturesque waterway and outdoor social space. While I recall ambitious plans to promote kayaking in the waterway back then, I’m glad NParks and PUB adopted the flood plain concept and allowed more biodiversity to thrive. Our family loves exploring the park and would recommend coming by in the evenings to avoid the heat.

Excellent urban park with both manicured and natural terrain. Over the years has begun attracting some birds of prey and egrets too. Great for families and young kids. Short walk to access hawker centres and coffee shops in the residential areas that line both sides of this linear park.

First time to the park, my first impression...GREEN ! Trees, huge nice trees, flowers, green large field for family outing. Seen a girl soccer team training, families playing running around. Restaurant within the park and even had a Spa for relaxation. Pond with lily and fishes. A Dog Run park with different species of dogs running around. A recycle hill, Butterfly Habitat and facilities for exercise, running / walking trail A NICE GREEN PARK !

Coming to this park always makes me feel all green inside. There are so many calm and pretty spots round every bend, the big heron can be sighted quite often circling his preferred treetops near the park cafe, Grubs. Great park for all ages...do take advantage of cool windy days and go run, stroll, read or photo shoot. You'll find it's full of little pleasures.

This park has a good no. of nature elements; small meandering stream with beautiful fishes to well-kept ground. We can see local roosters and hens, sometimes otters wandering through its canal water, and monitor lizards. Though it's good place for doing exercise in morning or evening, or taking our dogs for leisure walk, we often have to bear mosquito bites. There is also a MacDonald outlet and running track. People doing yoga in groups, corporate group activities or having family-together time are quite common things. There is also a clean water pond surrounded with beautiful willow trees. It's recommended for family outing or taking your dogs for a walk. But please keep in mind the weather forecast. There are only 1/2 shelters.

Amazing park to play any sport. We go there every week to play cricket. Its clean it's too big, you can play football or any other activities as well. You can fly drones there as this is allowed there. Bring some food and drinks along because there is no food court near by to buy anything

a beautiful city park that's full in the evenings and on weekends. lots of room for recreation, and people even set up nets for paddleball. enjoy the greenery, the beautiful trees, and the many different play areas for kids. you can head down to the water at the stream, but be careful because it does fill up quickly during the rain. there is a very fascinating biotope that filters the pond water for use in the water play area. there are two restaurants - burp and mcdonald's to check out if you need a break from being outside.. but both are very very crowded all the time!

Beautiful park in the heart of Ang Mo Kio/Bishan. Wildlife surrounds the glistening lake, with birds and fish habituated in the tree-coated landscape. Paths encapsulate the park, with bridges and resting places to admire the beauty, followed by gym areas and water parks. From inside the park, the view of temples and apartments in the distance puts the cherry on top for a perfect neighborhood park.

Garden park with beautiful landscaping, children playground, dog run compound, McDonald, eatery, SPA and jogging and cycle and tracks. Carpark is also available. Popular with early riser in the morning, working out, aerobics, tai chi and strollers. Evenings after dinner walk is also popular. Weekend crowd is twice as much. One lap is close to 2.4km.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is a very pleasant park for families and individuals to gather in. There are grass fields that allows families to have picnic at. The area is huge and spacious. It's safe for children to cycle, rollerblade, run and have fun with their families. There's also a pond in the park. Even in the hot afternoon, the park is still cooling for us to exercise in due to many trees planted in the park. There's a place for dog to run as well. Within the park, there's spa and restaurants for relaxation and dining. There's also Macdonald nearby the park. It's walking distance from Bishan Mrt. #ILoveBishanAngMoKioPark

Clean and green and I really highly recommend everyone to come. There is something for everyone in the family. The swing for the young. Sand for the youngest. Chairs to rest for the elderly people. Not too sunny and windy as there are many trees around here. No litter and very very cosy vibe. What are you waiting for??? Come here already :)

Originally created in 1988 to provide buffer between 2 thriving HDB hubs, Ang Mo Kio and Bishan, this urban park is one of the most tranquil and accessible in Singapore. It has been awarded Platinum at the 2020 Landscape Excellence Assessment framework certification. Spread over 62-hectares, the park has everything for everyone, from forest walks to lotus gardens, viewing points to water playgrounds. A full walk around the park takes you 90-minutes (6km). Now operated by National Parks Board, the stream running through the park is crystal clear.

Great place with lots of greenery lots of people lots of spaces and a manmade river that run across the huge park (Singapore wise) for strolling, walking, jogging, cycling and playing outdoor games. There are nice restaurants, McDonalds, playgrounds, benches, spa and a dog park. Beside dogs, there are squirrels, roosters and various kinds of birds. Can be very crowded at times especially during weekends so it can be a tough task for our safe distancing officers.

One of the best neighbourhood parks… throngs of people working out everyday but park is big enough that it doesn’t feel crowded. Have childrens playground, spots for nice picnic, even have mcd, restaurant and spa all within the park. A happy place overall.

The best park with a small river/stream running through. If you are lucky, you might even get to spot to otters (you have to be very lucky). There is also a dog run space for dog owners, where you can safely unleash the dogs. Many people don't know about this but there's a lotus pond here in the park at least. Very scenic and beautiful.

I've been to almost 80% of the parks in Singapore, and this is definitely the most special one. All kinds of plants are arranged in a patchwork manner, the lake view is beautiful, and there is even an observation deck in the water. In addition, there are children's playgrounds, water parks, various exercise facilities, and people of all ages can find their own fun here. Great park!

A tremendously beautiful park. We manged to ride our bike along the Kallang River to get here. We were going to visit the resivior but our son had so much fun with the turtles fish and resident crane, that we stayed longer than intended. A really beautiful park.

Beautiful place for a walk or jog. Plenty of nice water features, plants, flowers, and trees. It’s a cool and shady area for bicycle riding as well. You can go the riverbed and watch the water flow and look at the fishes. If you are hungry, you can head to Macdonalds. There a few eateries which open later in the day. Overall, an excellent experience to feel nature and to be free.

An absolute gem of an urban park. There is so much wildlife to see (especially birds) and the variety of plants is wonderful. The ponds are lovely and complement well the Kallang river. Also, the park is really spacious so there is plenty if room for everyone even during social distancing times.

  • 4/5 Crystal C. 4 years ago on Google
The park isn't as wide open as it is long, but there's still plenty of space and greenery for a great family day out (with the dogs!) or long, peaceful run/cycle. Can get crowded in some areas but there's plenty of room for everyone -- some large fields for the sports enthusiasts. Otter sightings now and then :) There's a spot where you can grab food from Mcdonald's to cafes and a Japanese grill. Shady and lush greenery abound.

  • 5/5 Teck Pek G. 3 years ago on Google
The enchanting Bishan-AMK Park is the 3-km meandering natural river which is part of the 10-km Kallang River that begins at Lower Peirce Reservoir and ends in Kallang Basin. Surrounding this river are recreational spaces and open green fields where young, old, fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers do come to play, explore and exercise. Take a stroll through the Butterfly Habitat or walk across the river on stone steps. Over the weekend have a picnic with your family on the grassy slopes. If you are an early riser, join in group exercises. Maybe you want to explore Lower Peirce Reservoir which is just across the park. For long distance walkers, try out the PCN in the park and follow the network which runs alongside Kallang River and make Kallang MRT your final stop.

It's a lovely park for you can do all kinds of activities -- walk, run, bike, take photos or just chill. You'll get to encounter different animals like birds, the chicken families (or a rooster hanging out with 2 hens😂), or a monitor lizard (only saw one). There's Mcdonalds where you can get some drinks/food during your break. Would love to come back again.

Nice walk at the Bishan Park. A refreshing change from the likes of the ever-crowded east cost park during my evening walk. Slightly dim for my liking; and some parts seem to be under construction.. It can get rather crowded over the weekends as well. Nonetheless nice foliage and serves its purpose as a nice neighborhood spot for a good workout and leisurely stroll.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is a good place to stroll after lunch or dinner. It has a wide running route that has steep or flat options without worrying about fuses from traffic. It is has some food options that are slightly more expensive but there is macdonald as well. One negative thing is that it is in between 2 mrt and hence travelling there is slightly troublesome without a car.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is always a good choice for morning or evening walk. There are few cafes to grab a drink or meal after the walk.

  • 5/5 Marc L. 3 years ago on Google
It's a great park. I love how they've tried to keep the river/creek as eco as possible. There are several areas within the two halves to explore and funnily enough it feels very much like a German "Bürgerpark". Look out for real Roosters and robotic lawnmowers. Eat at Grub, McD or upmarket Canopy.

A huge park with a lot of greenery, and a lot of wild rooster. It’s a good place to observe wildlife with multiple attractions. It also has a number of eateries inside the park, including McDonald’s, and a spa! Highly recommend for people even not living around that area. Can access the park by bus easily or even with the new Thomson line MRT station now.

  • 4/5 C W. 2 years ago on Google
Pretty and fairly large park to explore. There is a dog run and a few ponds within the park. There are also several eateries available in case you get hungry and/or thirsty. The restaurants can get crowded on weekends so reservations are recommended.

Bishan Park has undergo quite a lot of changes especially to the canal along the park between Bishan estate and Bishan Park. I still think this is most natural landscaping done to mimic the river in a nature habitat. Park will have plenty of people during the weekend to play and exercise. Great place for people to hang around and it does gets crowded around 5pm onwards.

  • 4/5 Cipherous S. 3 years ago on Google
Overall this is a pretty park with nice landscapes and flora. With a nearby McDonald's, you could also get some food after an intense workout or to shelter from the rain. The problem? There could definitely be more shelter provided as those can be sparse depending on your location.

It was an awesome experience...walking from Bishan park to Pierce Reservoir...the greenery, little streams along the way and all the familiar childhood trees of yesteryears all along the pathway of Bishan park brought nostalgic memories of school time in the 70s...the clear water at Pierce reservoir has a calming effect to an anyone who visits...a view worth the walk!!!❤️

Went there on the 29 May 2021 5pm with my kids. Place was overwhelming with people. Like there isn't any Pandemic. Kids play ground were filled with children and parents. Walk pass there to minimise contact with those people there because who know if there's any trace of COVID Carried. Dog run also full of people and there was 3 NEA officers there to control the people entering there. My advise to all is to stay clear crowded area and PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK IF YOU CAN EVEN IF YPU ARE DOING EXCISE. Cheers.

Great place for family or hanging out with friends. Parking, toilets, restaurants & cafe serve food & drinks scattered sporadically. With mature trees in the park, one is sure to find a shady spot for a sit down. Seating are available throughout the park. Enjoy!

  • 5/5 John a. 2 years ago on Google
A wonderful park, with numerous winding paths through forest and along the lily pads and canal water. As you wind through the paths, there are ponds, seating areas, exercise spots for whatever type of exercise mood you are in. Plenty of runners and bikers, recommend if you are out for a walk you stay to the left.

  • 5/5 Raymond Y. 2 years ago on Google
Good heartland park. Lots of locals exercise here. Good place to walk your dog too. You can see a lot of rear-end sniffing from the dogs which I interpret to be a good socializing experience. The fact that there are so many folks here exercising without masks makes me uneasy. I left quite quickly.

  • 5/5 Chris P. 2 years ago on Google
Spacious park and there are amenities available to complement physical activities. Conducive place for picnic, running, exercise, hanging out and walking your dog. If you're here in the morning, watch out for the white silkie chicken roaming around -- it's super cute! There are a few restaurants plus McDonald’s as well. Great place to gather with family and friends.

In the hood & have always been walking by without much pictures. Today, spotted a purple heron... The stretch of Bishan+Ang mo kio- park is quite big & made for a nice leisurely urban trail. Bird watching is great too. As with most nature Park, there is always a few nice friendly chill cafes & restaurant to rest one weary feet! Another great bonus, there's 2 dog run park for the fur babies...

Such a great park to go for a walk. There’s bird catching fish in the river and turtle at the riverside. There’s many people bring their dog for morning walk on Sunday too!

  • 5/5 George 2 years ago on Google
Great place for you to exercise! Nights are less crowded and you can feel the breeze. Very peaceful if you need some time for yourself. Mornings, afternoons and evenings are great as well, you might get the opportunity to encounter the Bishan Otters around the area! Normally the otters come around evening - dinner time :) The park is a great place to have activities. It has a big open grass patch to play different sports and outdoor games. Lastly, you can admire the sunset at most parts of the park! When the sun goes down, nature comes alive, some birds awake to go hunting for fishes late into the night. Most importantly, have fun and stay safe in the park!

Very well plan park, with lots of greenery Whole park can cycle around with dedicated cycling lane Plenty of tree, kallang river is peacefully flowing through the park Even has a McDonald's in it

  • 5/5 Richard T. 2 years ago on Google
Went there for the first time and was overwhelmed by its size and beauty. Unfortunately, the humidity in Singapore makes spending time in our parks really uncomfortable, except during the cooler months of the year. Go dressed down to enjoy the lush greenery and the wide open space that is quite rare in Singapore. There is a Japanese restaurant, a cafe, Macdonald and a spa in this park. So can eat and have a massage after a walk in the park. There is also an inclusive playground for kids.

  • 5/5 Adrian 10 months ago on Google
Best park ever for us local Singaporeans to do our exercises / go jogging. It’s huge and it has a McDonald’s restaurant, but it is almost always crowded there. Some interesting spots for people to take photos too. See if you can find this landmark in the park!

A scenic park with running path of more than 3.5 km n ample parking space. Morning peak is v crowded with park-goers of all ages - elderly, wheelchair-bound, young children n infants, cyclists, pets n etc. Not easy to jog smoothly in d morning. Can't jog at fast-paced too.
