The restaurant had been renovated recently (not much has changed). It’s not a wide spread here, but have to say the quality and selections are better than another congee buffet at killiney rd. It is quite value for money for what they provide, eg: - Prawns were quite fresh - Winter melon pork soup had a lot of pork (a lot! I had to try to not scoop out so much) and really soup was really rich - Ribs were marinated in sweet sauce and really tender - Cakes, kueh lapis, nonya kueh were pretty good Things to take note of: - some dishes were cooked with sour fish (or just something sour?) and hence didn’t taste as expected, ie cabbage dish with mushrooms and carrots was sour (and not the sauerkraut kind). Up to personal preference, I wasn’t a big fan of it but I’m sure there are others who’d like it more served this way.

Used to love coming for the teochew porridge buffet but today, after some absence from patronising this place I am appalled by the removal of tea and coffee from the buffet menu. How much tea and coffee can a customer consume? It wasnt the posh coffee machine and it was just pots of tea and coffee to self service so I am puzzled how much can the restaurant save? I can understand the price hike from $16.80 to $18.80 can be factors of overhead and operation costs to cover but to remove basic hot beverage sadly is a wrong move taken by the management. No wonder I was surprised it was empty when I walked in when it used to be fully booked. Will I come back? It will be a question now.

Porridge buffet. One of the cheapest buffet around the area. Not much selection but i do love their green bean soup and their add ons for porridge. Friendly staff and easy to place to spot. They provide ice cream and desserts as well. Good place to bring ur friends and colleagues who like chinese food.

No free coffee and tea😶 ! Food so so 🙄..the staffs are friendly. ☺😊

18.80++ per pax for lunch. Affordable teochew porridge buffet, limited selection but can’t expect much for the price. Love the 1-1 beer any time any seconds of the day. Complimentary carpark coupon only for above $100 spending.

Really exceptional service from the staff. Food was authentic and the chefs took much pride in their food. The waitresses were very polite and helpful. The setting is very nostalgic and befitting the Porridge Buffet I was enjoying
